The primary aim of this article was to identify the models of internationalization of Polish food industry companies. As part of empirical studies, the interviews with managers at 52 food industry companies were carried out. In the studied enterprises, models of internationalization were identified according to the typology proposed by M. Witek-Hajduk. Most of the surveyed enterprises were classified to the “geographically diversified ethnocentrist" and "internationally equitable enterprises" model. Moreover export was the most commonly used form of internationalization.
