U suvremenom se društvu samoprocjena i socijalna recepcija tjelesne manifestacije u osoba s invaliditetom nalazi u vrlo zahtjevnom i izazovnom području. This research therefore conducted a general review of the food system in Canada with a specific focus on innovation in the functional food and natural health products’ (nutraceutical) sector. Teachers in primary education have both generic-specific competencies and subject-specific competencies. Generic competencies refer to general competencies and cover theoretical and practical knowledge, while subject-specific competencies refer to the application of knowledge of the substrate science of the subject area in order to realize the set tasks. The goal of the research is to examine the reliability of the Self-Assessment Scale of competencies subject-specific to the physical and health education area needed to work with students with disabilities. Persons with various degrees of visual impairment are part of the education system and often pose a pedagogic challenge to educators and teachers. Despite advances in medicine, many children and parents struggle with vision difficulties such as strabismus, large refractive errors, and various congenital defects that cause inadequate visual development and amblyopia. Teachers and educators often lack opportunities to receive training on vision difficulties. The paper is intended for teaching staff in educational institutions and non-teaching staff who work with the visually impaired. The aim of

Abstract:
This paper develops a model featuring both a macroeconomic and a financial stability objective that speaks to the interaction between monetary and macroprudential policies. First, we find that interest rate rigidities in a monopolistic banking system have an asymmetric impact on financial stability: they lead to greater financial instability in response to contractionary shocks, while they act as an automatic financial stabilizer in response to expansionary shocks. Second, we find that when the policy interest rate is the only instrument, a monetary authority subject to the same constraints as

This brief summarizes an assessment undertaken by the UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) project to examine the emissions reductions and health improvements that likely can be attained under different decarbonization policy pathways. The assessment examined impacts on emission levels and on public health that would arise under a business-as-usual scenario and under different future scenarios using various targeted, transportation policy mixes. A hallmark of the assessment is its use of a demand-driven approach, using a tool created for Indonesia to focus on understandi

The findings of this study can inform and enable policymakers in improving occupational air pollution, including addressing air pollution, pollution sources and other related issues in the garment manufacturing sector in Cambodia. Such interventions will help to uphold the health of workers as a human right, ensure safe workplaces, and also be beneficial for the country’s economic growth, as a healthy workforce is more productive. While the garment sector serves as Cambodia’s economic backbone and creates much-needed jobs, it is also a highly polluting industry, alongside being regularly impli

This paper studies the incentive effects of social security benefits on labor market informality following a policy reform in Uruguay. The reform extended health benefits to dependent children of private sector salaried workers, and thus altered the incentive structure of holding formal jobs within the household. The identification strategy of the reform¿s effects relies on a comparison between workers with children (affected by the reform) and those without children (unaffected by the reform). Difference in differences estimates indicate a substantial effect of this expansion of coverage on i

Tradable permit markets for carbon dioxide (C02) emissions respond to short-run fluctuations in economic activity. To provide stability, both price and quantity interventions have been proposed. This paper focuses on the relative performance of fixed versus intensity allowances in the presence of both productivity and energy price uncertainty. Both instruments achieve the same steady-state emissions reduction target of 20 percent, which is similar to the current policy proposals, and the regulator then chooses the allowance policy that has the lowest expected abatement cost. Atmospheric deposition can alter biological communities through a variety of pathways. Atmospheric nitrogen (N) deposition causes some plant and animal species to increase growth and/or abundance. Other species then can be outcompeted and eliminated from the biological community. Deposition of reactive N (Nr) to watersheds can impact both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem elements and contribute to eutrophication and acidification effects. Atmospheric sulfur (S) deposition has been the primary driver of soil and surface water acidification of acid-sensitive ecosystems, resulting in adverse eff

In the last two years, the United States has reversed the post-World War II trend toward the lowering of trade barriers and a commitment towards multilateral free trade. Citing a need to “level the playing field” and hold trading partners accountable to their commitments, the current Administration has moved towards a more protectionist and perhaps mercantilist position vis-à-vis trade policy. One of the Administration’s first actions in this regard was the decision to leave the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement, followed thereafter by raising tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
