A comparison of election results is made across cities and counties that differ according to demographic characteristics. Two primary findings emerge. Abstract:
The present article presents some theoretical considerations about the implications
due the change of the oxidizer in a bipropellant propulsion system. Preliminary
analysis conducted on the NTO/UDMH 400 N engine of a roll control system shows
that this engine could be capable of operation with HTP90 without significant
modification in the design. The new propellant combination is less toxic, can be
handled more easily, has a wider operational temperature range, and yields a more
amenable thermal environment from the combustion down to the exhaustion. Even

This work on organic dental composites was undertaken to determine the role of residual reactive methacrylate functions at the end of the photopolymerization cycle, and to investigate the fate of the residual monomers and oligomers in organic (ethanol) and aqueous (water and artificial saliva) media. The results show that all the methacrylate monomers present in dentine migrate into ethanol (about 1% (w/w)). In aqueous media on the other hand, only the most hydrophilic monomer (UDMA) migrates (0.05% (w/w)) into water and 0.03% into artificial saliva (pH = 9). This desorption in the three media

This essay considers the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) at a time at which humans are dramatically changing the planet, prompting scientists to suggest that we are living in a new geological epoch: “the Anthropocene.” The Anthropocene, even if an essentially contested concept, prompts reconsideration of our interhuman socioeconomic relations and our understanding of the human-nature interface, both of which come with significant challenges. This essay suggests that the UDHR offers the space for engaging with these challenges, if we adopt an Anthropocene-relevant reading of its pr

Abstract A new method for determining 1,1-dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) in peaches and apples is presented. The method consists of extraction with L-ascorbic acid, derivatization with 2-nitrobenzaldehyde to the corresponding hydrazone, and cleanup on an alumina column. The hydrazone derivative is determined by gas chromatography using an electron-capture detector. Recoveries were determined from 10 to 100 ppb. Stability of the UDMH residues on frozen peaches was investigated, and results indicate that the residues degrade even while frozen.

Moral reasoning was measured using the N2 index of the Defining Issues Test (Rest, 1979a). Their GC-MS quantification in aqueous samples requires matrix change and is challenging due to high polarity of analytes. Most of the dental materials available on the market are still based on traditional monomers such as bisphenol A-glycidyl methacrylate (Bis-GMA), urethane dimethacrylate (UDMA), triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA), and ethoxylated bisphenol-A dimethacrylate (Bis-EMA). The interactions that arise in the monomer mixture and the characteristics of the resulting polymer network are the most important factors, which define the final properties of dental materials. The use of three different monomers in proper proportions may create a strong polymer matrix. In this paper, fourteen resin materi
