Abstract:
Abstract The article analyses the basic issues of procedural methods for evaluating the environment affected by the exploitation of mineral resources. The paper deals with the area, which was affected by black coal extraction already in the last century and is located in the area of Orlová-Poruba. Tthe first part explicates the basic concepts of landscape restoration issues, views of the methods of assessment and evaluation of the environment and related negative and positive externalities incurred. Another part of this paper assesses the affected area using the so-called Hessian method. Finally, we assess possible solutions of the evaluation of mostly positive externalities ocurred under the conditions in the Czech Republic and the desirability of the proposed new methodology for environmental assessment, including possible solutions.

Abstract:
Abstract One of the most serious risks associated with mining using mainly underground methods is the risk of mine fires. Causes of these fires can be exogenous (external) or endogenous (internal). The authors of the article pay attention to endogenous fires in coal mines, especially to the timely indication of them. As already mentioned in many contributions, spontaneous combustion is a complicated process that passes, in the final stage, into a mine open fire. The localization of a place of such danger can be done by means of so-called indicator gases that are desorbed from the coal substance at a point of the originating seat of spontaneous combustion. The article deals with a development trend in the use of indicator gases for spontaneous combustion in coal mining. The objective of the authors was to arrange chronically and briefly knowledge of the use of indicator gases both abroad and in the Czech Republic and to provide input information about a research project being dealt with at present

Abstract:
Mikropolutanty v životním prostředí působí negativně na vodní ekosystémy a též představují potenciální riziko pro lidské zdraví. Zásadním zdrojem vnosu mikropolutantů do životního prostředí jsou městské ČOV, jejichž konvenční mechanicko-biologická technologie není na odstraňování mikropolutantů navržena. V této práci jsme testovali účinnost odstranění mikropolutantů řadou oxidačních (např. ozonizace, UV/H2O2, Fentonova reakce, borem dopovaná diamantová elektroda) a sorpčních (např. granulované aktivní uhlí GAU, zeolity) procesů. Účinnost odstranění vybraných léčiv (např. erythromycin, sulfamethoxazol, ibuprofen atd.) a metabolitů pesticidů (např. acetochlor ESA, metazachlor ESA) jsme testovali v jednorázových vsádkových testech. S přihlédnutím k ekonomickým i provozním parametrům byla pro následné testování v reálných podmínkách (poloprovozní měřítko) zvolena kombinace oxidace UV/H2O2 a sorpce na GAU. Mikropolutanty v modelové vodě byly úspěšně odstraněny z 91% (suma léčiv) a cca 100% (suma metabolitů pesticidů) při použití optimální dávky H2O2 5 mg/l a intenzity UV záření 4 kJ/m2 s následnou sorpcí na GAU. Tyto velmi slibné výsledky v současné době ověřujeme v pilotní jednotce pro dočištění reálného odtoku z městské ČOV. Abstract (EN) Micropollutants cause harm to aquatic ecosystems and can also negatively affect human health. Major sources of micropollutants input to aquatic environments are wastewater treatment plants due to their insufficient removal during the conventional mechanical-biological process. This study aimed to evaluate potential WWTP effluent post-treatment processes for the removal of selected pharmaceuticals and pesticides using oxidation (e.g., ozonization, UV/H2O2, Fenton, boron-doped diamond electrode) and sorption (e.g. granular activated carbon, zeolite) processes and their combinations. The removal of selected pharmaceuticals (e.g. erythromycin, sulphamethoxazole, ibuprofen) and pesticides (e.g. acetochlor ESA, metazachlor ESA) was tested in batch assays. The combination of UV/H2O2 and activated carbon adsorption was the most favorable in terms of removal efficiency and economic and operational parameters. This combination achieved the removal efficiencies of pharmaceuticals and pesticides of 91 and 100%, respectively, using an optimum H2O2 dose of 5 mg/L and UV intensity of 4 kJ/m2 followed by granular activated carbon adsorption. These promising results are currently adopted in a pilot-scale study for the post-treatment of a real WWTP effluent.

SummaryReviewing three important recently published volumes on Pentateuch criticism, Torsten Uhlig highlights their merits and limits, evaluates their contribution to the interpretation of the Pentateuch and summarises some of the central issues that Pentateuch studies need to address. Among them, he raises the issue of integrating diachronic studies and narrative approaches. Moreover, while previous evangelical contributions to Pentateuch studies often focused on aspects of unity, Uhlig indicates the merits of acknowledging and integrating the diversities in a narratological approach. He concludes with some hermeneutical reflections that also interrelate with other disciplines of theology.ZusammenfassungTorsten Uhlig stellt drei wichtige kürzlich publizierte Aufsatzsammlungen zur Pentateuchkritik vor und arbeitet ihre Verdienste ebenso wie einige Grenzen heraus. Er bewertet ihren Beitrag für die Interpretation des Pentateuchs und fasst einige zentrale Aufgaben zusammen, die der Behandlung in Studien zum Pentateuch bedürfen. Darunter zählt er die Notwendigkeit der Integration von diachronen und narrativen Ansätzen. Gegenüber früheren evangelikalen Beiträgen zur Interpretation des Pentateuchs, deren vorrangiges Augenmerk auf dessen Einheit lag, weist Uhlig auf die Chancen hin, die Differenzen im Rahmen eines narrativen Ansatzes ernst zu nehmen und zu integrieren. Parmi celles-ci, il mentionne le problème de l’intégration des études diachroniques et des approches narratives. En outre, alors que les contributions évangéliques antérieures ont surtout insisté sur des aspects de l’unité, Uhlig montre l’intérêt qu’il y a à reconnaître et intégrer les diversités dans une approche narratologique. Il conclut par quelques réflexions herméneutiques qui ont aussi une portée pour d’autres disciplines théologiques.

Children with minimal/mild bilateral hearing loss (MBHL) or unilateral hearing loss (UHL) are at risk for academic, speech/language, and social/emotional difficulties, and the provision of FM is a standard recommendation. In this article, various topics relating to FM use by children with MBHL/UHL are discussed. First, the difficulties that some children with MBHL/UHL experience are reviewed. A discussion ensues on the use of FM systems by children with MBHL/UHL and what choices could be considered. Ultimately, each child must be evaluated individually for use of an FM system, as there is no “one size fits all” solution to their communication difficulties. Finally, tips on communicating with children who have MBHL/UHL are reviewed.

The aim of the master’s thesis is thermal calculation and dimensional design of boiler of 235 t/h which burns brown coal. The work is divided into several parts. In the first part, stoichiometric calculation and the calculations enthalpy of flue gases and air are performed. After calculating the heat balance and loss of the boiler, the boiler efficiency is counted. In the next part, thermal calculation of combustion chamber is calculated. Subsequently, design of the individual heating surfaces is proposed. Finally, the overall heat balance of the boiler is inspected. The calculation is supplemented by drawing of the boiler.

This thesis solves a design of a grate boiler burning wood chips or brown coal with a heat output of 160 MW. Stoichiometry flue gas is calculated according to the specified composition of each fuel. The dimensions of the individual heating surfaces are primarily calculated for burning wood chips and subsequently checked for the combustion of brown coal. Design of the boiler is completed by checking the overall heat output. Boiler design is accompanied by drawing documentation.

This Master´s thesis deals with the verification calculation of boiler which burns brown coal for the application of the selective catalytic reduction method. The thesis is divided into several parts. In the first of all is performed the calculation of the furnace chamber which involves stoichiometrics calculations and enthalpy calculations of air and flue gas. In the second part the heat balance of the boiler, the boiler losses and the thermal efficiency are determined. After all the heating surfaces are calculed for the verify the dimensions. In the conclusion of the thesis we looked for the temperature range which is used for the SCR application. Then the improvements for the appropriate temperature range are designed.

This thesis is focused in calculation and designing of fluid bed boiler for burning coal and wood biomass in the form of wood chips. The uniqueness of fluidized bed boiler is circulating fluidized layer and cyclone ash separator from flue gases beyond the combustion chamber.Work was divided into several parts due to different parameters of the fuel.. Stoichiometry calculations, emissions calculations, enthalpy of combustion and flue gas desulphurization calculations are performed in various parts.Further, calculating of the losses of boiler and its efficiency comparing to the calculation and design of each heat transfer surfaces was also solved so that resulting size and quantity meet the required specifications.Drawn set of this designed boiler based on calculations is included in the annex to this paper.

The thesis deals with the possibility of utilization of fluid ash in refractory materials and its influence on resulting properties. This work studies the effect of bed and filter ash addition on properties of the droplet and resulting mechanical properties, bulk density, shrinkage and firing temperature of stove fireclay. The subject of this thesis is also reduction of SO2 emissions evolved burning of fireclay containing fluid ash rich of anhydrite. Emissions of SO2 were observed by TG-TDA-EGA method. Characterization of prepared samples and study of heat treatment processes was based on XRD, TG-DTA-EGA, TDA, SEM–EDS, heating microscope and isothermal calorimetry.

Abstract:
The state energy conception sets the direction in energy industry and outlines main instruments and trends in this area. The priority of the state energy conception is to reach energy security of the country, which can be ensured by more energy resources of the fuel mix. The main component of the domestic energy mix is brown coal, which is mostly used in brown coal electric works for generating electric energy and heat. Coal mining is and was one of the main elements of Czech Republic's national industry, but there are also negative ecological impacts connected with coal winning. Further coal mining is restricted by so-called territorial ecological limits for brown coal mining that protect the environment and community against the mining consequences. Many of the brown coal supplies can, however, also in future represent an important energy resource, which will enable security, production independence and price availability of energy. At work is further explanation of the limits and progress of breaking the limits. Other energy resources are nuclear energy and renewable energy resources, whose importance rises and which contribute to a balanced energy mix.

Abstract:
This paper deals with studies on the flow field around three types of linear cascades of low pressure turbine (LPT) airfoils with different chordwise loading distributions, while keeping the aerodynamic loading index almost the same. The purpose of the low-speed linear cascade study is to clarify the performance of newly designed two ultra high-lift blade (UHL blade) and compare each of them to that of the conventional LPT blade (Base Model) with low solidity through the measurements of boundary layers accompanied by separation bubble for low Reynolds number conditions. Cylindrical bars on the timing belts work as wake generator to emulate upstream stator wakes that impact the boundary layer on the airfoil suction surface. Freestream turbulence is also enhanced by use of passive turbulence grid. In addition to the pneumatic probe measurements of the midspan loss characteristics of each of the cascades, hot-wire probe measurement is conducted over the blade suction surface to understand to what extent and how the interaction of incoming wakes as well as freestream turbulence affect the boundary layer and separation bubble. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses are also applied to the flow fields around the cascades, mainly using Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) with dynamic Smagorinsky subgrid scale model.
