Abstract:
Results of the research presented in this article are based on many years experience of ultrasound examinations at the 1602nd Military Clinical Hospital of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Improvements of diagnoses at the primary stage as well as reductions of the number of diagnostic errors by means of a systematic and multidisciplinary approach to urgent ultrasound examinations are presented. These improvements are needed for accurate and rapid diagnosis of a wide range of diseases on the admission stage at a multiprofile hospital. Such a versatile patient examination allows hospital staff t

There are presented data of the integrated ultrasound (US) examination of 85 children with urolithiasis (IBC) at the age of from 3 months up to 17 years. In traditional ultrasound study (in gray scale mode), the main criterion for the presence of stone - distal acoustic «shadow» was evaluated in dependence on its intensity from 0 to 4 scores. When using color Doppler mapping (CDM) there was established the existence of flaring artifact (FA), which occurred in the reflection of the ultrasonic wave from the reflective stone structure. Aim. To evaluate the possibility and expediency of the diagnostic laparoscopy of traumatic injuries of the abdominal cavity organs.Material and methods. We performed the diagnostics laparoscopy of blunt injuries of abdominal cavity on 48 patients in the period from 2011 till 2020 in the Center of Internal Medicine “Varorud”. The age of the patients varied from 18 to 42 years, mean age was 32±1.5 years, all the injured were male. Ultrasound examination was performed in the first place on all the patients along with general clinical methods of investigation. It should be noted that ultrasound ex

Abstract:
The ultrasound machine generates images to examine various parts of the human body. It emits high-frequency sound waves that are reflected off bodily structures, and a computer receives these reflected waves to create images. Unlike X-rays or CT scans, ultrasound does not utilize ionizing radiation. Ultrasound has gained popularity due to its widespread availability and the ability of modern devices to produce high-resolution images, offering exceptional clarity, which in turn provides precision, accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. A major advantage of ultrasound is that it allows frequent
