Abstract:
Concern for nature and for animal sentience are important public and political moral concerns. Using frameworks such as Harmony for Nature and One Health and the recent IPBES report on the Diverse Values of Nature, this paper considers how the two issues interrelate, in terms of our concepts of sentience and nature, and sentience-based values’ importance in relation to nature-based values. Animals’ sentience is part of nature, and part of its diversity, harmony, health and value. Sentient animals’ feelings represent animals’ evaluations of nature that go beyond valuing nature for solely for market-based and anthropocentric interests. Sentience is therefore relevant for measurement, leveraging and embedding sentience-based values in environmental concerns, including in environmental impact assessments, science-based UN policy-making, interdisciplinary and interagency collaboration, and to strengthen transformative and system-based action for nature.

Victoria's idea of International Society is not an unfeasible Utopia. The harmony between experience/reason and reason/faith which he imbibes from St. Thomas Aquinas can be appreciated in his methodology. His anthropology is also realistic, that is to say, objectivistic: human nature is the same in all men; their dignity and rights as persons are not given or taken by their faith. Vitoria applies to the Indians the Tomist thesis on the person and the relationship faith/reason, nature/over nature.

The process of how Javanese life worksin harmony with these three core relationships namely: human relations (microcosm), relationship with nature (macrocosm), and relationship with God (metacosm)is the main focus of this study. The people of Tawun District, Ngasreman, Ngawi, East Java,as the object of this study are likely to offer so much understanding, and indeed provide still, today, a harmonious concept of livingmanifested in the ritual ceremony of Keduk Beji (English: Beji scoop). This study then examines howthe construction of microcosm, macrocosm, and metacosm among Tawunpeople’sritual tradition of Keduk Bejiis put to work. The constructions are built upon the need for continuity and harmony in life. For the conclusion, this article’s preliminary result of the three relationships is centered on the relationship of metacosm as the last objectives of mankind before dealing withthe death. Islam is a perfect religion. Which is an unparalleled gift and a beautiful gift from the Creator of the universe to humanity. Allah Almighty has formulated its rules and regulations and these rules are in harmony with human nature. Because Allah Almighty is the Creator of humanity. He has created human nature and temperament. Therefore, who can be more knowledgeable of nature and knowledge of human nature than this? It is a different matter that this substance is kept less in some and more in others. ۔ Undoubtedly, this is a great divine blessing which removes the languor of hearts and gives them a state of serenity. In this regard, I find the best example from the blessed life of the Holy Prophet(PBH). He used to joke with his devotees, which caused a wave of happiness among them. There are some rules and regulations mentioned in the hadiths for humor, the observance of which is very important.

Abstract:
AbstractThis article interrogates United Nations (UN) calls that ‘making peace with nature’ should become the crucial mission of the 21st century. It ponders the kind of diplomacy envisioned for such a reconciliation ecology to be credible. Drawing on one of the most promising and less known programmes of the UN system – namely, Harmony with Nature (HwN), which pioneers Earth-based jurisprudence and rights of nature – it conceptualises this diplomatic shift and assesses the conditions under which ecological diplomacy can be productively operationalised in the 21st century vis-à-vis a mere rhetorical appropriation and co-optation by intergovernmental agendas. Building on Indigenous thought and animist epistemologies, programmes such as HwN espouse a new relationship with Planet Earth and make it possible to explore ‘nature’ as diplomatic interlocutor. We argue that existing paradigms of peacebuilding fail to sufficiently capture the diplomatic aspects and complex local dynamics of the human–nature relationship and suggest a reconceptualisation based on an ecological diplomacy that is both expansive and transformative and views this relationship as one of troubled coexistence.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to show that by “parallelism”, Leibniz meant something different from what is usually termed, since Fechner, “psychophysical parallelism”. Besides the fact that very few occurrences of the term “parallelism” are to be found in the Leibnizian corpus, the notion is only explicitly related to pre-established harmony between soul and body in the Leibniz-Stahl controversy. Rather than envisaging a “metaphysical” parallelism opposing soul to body as two heterogeneous entities, Leibniz conceived of a symbolic relation between the two and upheld a “methodological” parallelism that implied that, in explaining phenomena, one should not confuse efficient with final causes, nor the realm of Nature with that of Grace, while sustaining their exact concordance and convergence.

Abstract:
The anthropocentric treatment of Nature has exacerbated the environmental abuse and thus has provided a rationale for interdisciplinary research and deliberation of human-nature intersection in different ways. The notion of human connectivity in relation to environmental consciousness is being analyzed in metaphorical and multifaceted manifestations. Often dubbed as atmospheric prose, the environmental narratives, own a significant space in narrating the (un)conscious desires of human beings for reconnecting to nature as well as demonstrate autocratic rule over nature thereby resulting in characters’ ambivalent biophilic tendencies. Ecopsychology, a recent interdisciplinary field of inquiry centers on the belief that for the maintenance of psychological and physical health and sustainable societies, the notion of wholeness can only be achieved in an alliance with nature. Taking insights from the lens of ecopsychology, the current study provides understanding into the ways in which our psychic lives can cultivate a better understanding of biophilia, on one hand, and biophobia on the other hand. The role of Nature and environment as an unconscious healer, in Pakistani atmospheric prose, is an underexplored domain which demands literary investigations. Aamer Hussein, a famous short story writer from Pakistan delineates his artistic creation of atmosphere and characters through experimental atmospheric narratives. Taking Aamer Hussein’s The Swan’s Wife as a sample, the current study provides a window to the relationship between human subjectivity and the ways in which Nature serves as an unconscious domain of self-recognition and fulfillment. The story through the parallel treatment of humans in their complex relationships and Nature in multiple roles in the hands of humans provides some pertinent ecopsychological perspectives. The study offers insights into how self-society-nature nexus is a fruitful connoting mechanism for many psychological rifts of modern society. The study is significant as it shows that our connection with Nature and living in harmony with the natural systems is integral for our own wellbeing. Abstract:
AbstractMany authors have magnified the advent of civilization which signifies the passage from the state of nature to progress. From Montaigne to Voltaire via the classics like La Bruyère, civilization appeared as an event that allows man to live in harmony. It is perceived as the passage from the animal state to that of evolved, of knowledge. Alain defines it in these terms "our civilization is defined by the good of man" (Alain, 1934: 1210) Yet Rousseau turns away from it and a simple reading of his works seems to tell men that it is dangerous to live civilized. For what? What are the harmful effects of civilization? Where does the conflict come from? This article is a critical study of the works of Rousseau and aims to show that, contrary to the thought of most authors, the process of civilization in Rousseau is a process of degradation of being.

Abstract:
The article explains the concept of settlement based on scientific and theoretical concepts and current legislation. The author has developed his own independent approach to the division of settlements into species. The legal description and nature of the settlements are also revealed. The article examines the main environmental problems in cities, the solution of which is considered in the framework of the new UN Urban Development Program (Habitat III). The author pays special attention to ensuring the quality of the environment in settlements, strict adherence to environmental standards and thus ensuring the rights of individual to a comfortable environment. At the same time, the need to ensure the harmony of ecological, economic and social aspects of urban development as one of the important conditions for sustainable development is scientifically justified. The author scientifically and legally analyzes the issues of environmentalization of production, industry, construction, acoustic impact in settlements, environmental and legal requirements for the protection of atmospheric air, compliance with sanitary norms related to water resources and public health. The article substantiates the need for the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan to introduce a procedure for conducting an «environmental rating» of cities with the broad involvement of the public. Based on the research conducted on the topic, conclusions of scientific and practical significance have been developed.

The paths and the ways: an insight into transdisciplinarity
Abstract: This is a short study of how the notion of thinking that Heidegger developed in his writing, in the Conversation on a Country Path about Thinking (2010a), can be read through a consideration of a Chinese Taoist text Tao Te Ching (Laozi) and the Confucian, though a Taoist inspired text, by Zisi, the Zhongyong, to illuminate the essential nature of openness in transdisciplinarity and the restrictions of disciplinarity of knowing taken as the ritual and rules of methodology. This approach offers a way to understand unconcealment in the onto-cosmology of the harmony of all Being and of personal cultivation which is essential to the ontology of Heidegger. I then suggest how this might be offered in what could be called a transdisciplinary pedagogy.

Abstract: The shepherd embodies a strange and disturbing society. Isolated, marginal, it forms a world apart and evolves in a wild space where mountains, valleys, meadows or forests make up the framework of its activity. In this non-domesticated nature the human presence is suspect. This confusing being is very often represented with an animalized, almost monstrous or deformed body (dentition, pilosity) which becomes a metaphor for social order. This grotesque body translates the prejudices of urbanites and elites. It fuels sexual fantasies and symbolizes the disturbances of the natural and social order: freed from the laws of the city, it can try to seduce the young ladies and be insolent in front of the knights. It is a threat to the established order. But the shepherd also carries virtues. It is a model of Christian life: humility and holiness. It belongs to an original humanity, the form closest to divine creation. Two styles of representation of the shepherd therefore oppose the extremes. From texts from the end of the Middle Ages, we will see how the shepherd is an imaginary in opposition to an organized society but that his image has evolved positively until becoming the guardian of traditions and a being who lives in harmony with nature. Key words: stereotypes, shepherd, savagery, holiness, littérature, Middle Ages. Abstract:

Abstract:
The current environmental crisis, resulting from humanity's subjugation and domination of nature, has significantly contributed to the decline of ecological biodiversity worldwide. In the case of Colombia, the main causes of biodiversity loss include land-use changes, urbanization, among others. This underscores the urgent need to strengthen environmental education (EE) in the country to promote a sustainable environmental culture in harmony with nature. Accordingly, this research aims to characterize environmental education experiences in Colombia based on the database "Experiencias significativas de Educación Ambiental – Listado Minambiente" Data processing was conducted using the statistical software STATA, with the goal of identifying educational trends related to environmental issues at the national level. The results reveal progress in the field of EE, highlighting a higher proportion of initiatives that adopt a naturalistic teaching model. Likewise, there is a prevalence of institutional initiatives over community ones. The results suggest that community initiatives tend to align with a systemic teaching model, while institutional initiatives prioritize the naturalistic perspective. Additionally, it was observed that community participation is sometimes conditioned by sectoral and non-sectoral entities in the country. Finally, the conclusions reaffirm the need for Colombian institutions to continue working on appropriate environmental education indicators that allow for the measurement and dissemination of EE experiences at the national level. Furthermore, the importance of strengthening systemic EE models is emphasized, as they promote the social re-appropriation of the environment through cultural changes.

Abstract:
The advance of environmental degradation around the world is evident year after year in reports on Climate Change and Ecosystem Health. The environmental laws that have been in force around the world for the past 40 years have failed to halt the loss of biodiversity and global warming. In the Western paradigm, Nature has been conceived as an object for human benefit and this misconception has led us to the current collapse. It is time for the change we need, in the sense of recognizing that human beings are part of Nature and have an interdependent relationship with it. This is the new paradigm of ecological Justice, which is embodied in a new generation of subjective rights: the rights of nature. A worldwide movement promotes the rights of nature on all continents and is recognized by the United Nations "Harmony with Nature" Program. This movement is led in Europe by the Popular Legislative Initiative to recognize the Mar Menor and its basin with legal personality and its own rights.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
Biodiversity and human survival go hand in hand but biodiversity and related crucial resources are declining. According to the ‘Living Planet Report 2018’ wildlife populations have declined by 60 per cent since 1970, while human activities have caused alterations to 97 per cent of all land and 66 per cent of the marine environment. Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will be developing a post-2020 framework called the Global Biodiversity Framework. The goal of this is to stop biodiversity loss by 2030 and achieve recovery by 2050. In October 2021 CBD COP15 (the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties) took place to determine the framework and the second part of the conference which is scheduled for the second half of 2022 will see the framework being further negotiated and adopted. Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Virginijus Sinkevičius said: ‘In these challenging times, multilateralism is more critical than ever, for people and the nature we depend on. The evidence is clear: we need a future in harmony with nature, for ourselves, for future generations, for our climate and for sustainable development — and we need a common roadmap to achieve it.’ An important document to emerge from part one of CBD COP15 was the Kunming Declaration, which requests that the parties involved prioritise the protection of biodiversity when it comes to decision-making and recognise the key role of conservation in protecting human health.

Abstract:
Niels Bohr´s guest house was the first building by the Danish architect Vilhelm Wohlert (1920-2007). Rooted into the Danish tradition, represents a renewal based on absorption of foreign influences: American architecture and Japanese tradition. The wood box has the responsive character of a living organism, which is always changing according to variation in daylight or temperature. Folding doors and shutters generate extensions of the rooms. When they are opened, they create a prolongation of the interior space, which spreads out to the surrounding nature, and expands to the exterior space, allowing its mobilization. An architecture of flows is set. It performs an example of the modernity as the refinement in the technique of boundaries and the idea that architecture is not a material object but the space generated inside. It could be seen as an ikebana, the Japanese art of flowers; “the art of space” where is produced a circulation of air between its components; something alive that expresses the third dimension, the asymmetrical balance, an interest for the material, its texture and the emotional effect that emanates. There are harmony and balance, which transmit serenity and beauty; an encounter with nature; a world of relationships gentle to human beings.

Abstract:
Nahmanides’ Commentary on the Book of Job constitutes an ideal anthropological and eschatological corollary of his monumental Commentary on the Torah. A leading figure of the Girona’s Jewish community and of its kabbalistic school, where the teachings of the Provençal master Isaac the Blind were enriched with elements of the Talmudic, Hellenistic and Arabic traditions, Nahmanides outlines a kabbalistic esoteric interpretation of Job designed to reject the seeming ontological irreconcilability between the individual experience of suffering and the ordered system of a universe forged in the demiurgic night of the origins. After explaining, in allusive language and midrashic style, the nature of human soul and the origin of evil, Nahmanides proves that Job’s protest, the protest of a just man suffering unjustly, is nothing but a dissonance destined to resolve itself into the superior harmony of the creation. This is the great mystery of individual existence, a mystery that echoes in the silence of Job, warned by God, and that unveils itself only to those initiates who, like Elihu critic of Job and of his three friends, who are merely short-sighted consolers, have been chosen as depositaries of the most ancient wisdom.

Abstract:
Persistent civil wars, inter-communal clashes, and hostile interpersonal relations have made peace highly elusive in South Sudan; despite numerous local, regional, and international efforts, these instabilities prove resistant to resolution. The endless conflicts have resulted in critical humanitarian crises and social and economic difficulties affecting nearly everyone. The devastating history of violence in the country has entrenched a culture that undermines peace efforts. The article, therefore, explores the root causes of the instabilities, their nature and impact, and advocates for practices such as harmony, reconciliation, the rule of law, and institutional development that foster a Peace culture to break the cycle of violence, ensuring lasting peaceful coexistence and sustainable political and socio-economic stability across the country. Using secondary data from academic articles, and UN reports, the article draws on Émile Arnaud’s pacifism theory, emphasizing nonviolence and peaceful means to achieve peace. Based on the Pacifism theory is the belief that peace is good, that we must work for peace, and that war should be avoided, if not abolished, advocating love, reconciliation, and care as essential values. The article concludes by recommending practices, behaviors, and attitudes that can help various stakeholders develop peace as a lasting cultural norm rather than a temporary fix to achieve enduring stability in South Sudan.

Abstract:

In 2000, UN declared the establishment of Millennium Development Goals, which had 8 goals, They were eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, achieve universal primary education, promote gender equality and empower women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, combat HIV/AIDS malaria and other disease, ensure environmental sustainability, global partnership for development. In spite of the performance, MDGs ended in 2015. Now, SDGs as the successor of MDGs is going on till 2030. SDGs have the 17 goals including the unfinished targets of MDGs. While MDGs had the meaning of supplement paradigm of economic growth development paradigm, which the prevalent development paradigm since the cold war, SDGs has the meaning of the replacement paradigm of the economic grawth development paradigm. Because we face the poly-crisis that the economic development itself has leaded, the establishment of the replacement paradigm is very important. But SDGs is not enough to be a replacement paradigm because it has been established through the negotiation between many stakeholders. Replacement paradigm can make paradigm shift through the introduction and settlement of the economic model which has the character, the harmony between society, economy and nature. Thus we need to pay attention to the settlement of the ESG because ESG emerged having the relevance with the SDGs. When the new (sustainable) development model can be settled, then we can find the solving direction of the crisis which we face.

Abstract:
By the 21st century, the problem of environmental protection in the context of globalization, having gone beyond the framework of one country or one region, has an impact on the entire planet. On the path to sustainable development in the world, the United Nations calls on the countries of the world to agree on solving environmental problems and follows the path of uniting their strengths and capabilities for creative work. At the 63rd session of the UN General Assembly, held in 2009, it was especially emphasized that maintaining harmony on planet Earth in order to achieve fair proportionality between the economic, social and environmental demands of the present and future generations is relevant. Socio-political relations for the protection and improvement of the environment are studied in a number of higher educational institutions and research centers around the world. In particular, at the research center and university of Wageningen (Netherlands) (Wageningen Universit and Research), at the University of Bonn in Germany (University of Bonn), at the Center for Environmental History of the University of Elabuga (Russian Federation, Republic of Tatarstan), at Peking University (Chinese People’s Republic) scientific research is conducted in the following areas: imbalances between man and nature as a threat to the ecosystem, rational use of natural resources, practical implementation of eco-innovations to achieve sustainable development, improvement of organizational and legal mechanisms for the implementation of public environmental control, features of the development of world environmental historiography.

Abstract:
In the last few years, natural protected areas have been facing great challenges and degradation around the world. Among this, environmental sustainability has become a priority to create harmony between tourists and nature. Tourists visiting protected areas are becoming progressively more concerned regarding the environment. Moreover, the United Nations (UN) “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” have highlighted the potential role of young tourists to contribute to sustainable tourism. However, very few studies have focused on tourists’ environmentally sustainable behavior towards natural protected areas. To fill the existing gap in the literature, this study aims to provide a theoretical framework that includes environmental sustainability awareness (ESA) in measuring millennial tourists’ environmentally sustainable behavior (ESB). Thus, this study delivers an integrated approach based on the value-belief-norm (VBN) theory and the concept of the new ecological paradigm (NEP) towards protected areas. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted from one of the protected areas located in the north of Sichuan province of China, and 511 responses were obtained for statistical analysis. Results of the structural statistical analysis showed that the unified model includes a satisfactory level of predictive power for tourists’ ESB, which was superior to existing theories and concepts. The findings also revealed that all proposed relationships of the variables were significant and identified the positive influence of environmental sustainability awareness in generating the ESB. This study contributes towards sustainable tourism development and the conservation of protected areas, with several practical implications for local authorities in terms of millennial participation.

<strong>Abstract</strong> <em>Political censorship occurs when the government holds back information from its citizens. This censorship is often characterized by the suppression of speech, public communication or other information. It is generally conducted when a government or a private institution notices that a piece of information is deemed sensitive, inconvenient, harmful and, therefore, unacceptable to be shared. A Technoethical and Ecocritical analysis of Ray Bradbury&rsquo;s Fahrenheit 451 shows how political censorship has negatively affected human beings and nature leading to their total subjugation.&nbsp; What is political censorship? How is it exercised in Fahrenheit 451? In what ways are human species and nature subjugated in Fahrenheit 451? I am continuing to study the occupational characteristics of various fields in order to expand the area of use of Myeongli science (命理學), a traditional study in the East, as a realistic alternative to career aptitude tests.&#x0D; In this paper, a sample of 13 teachers currently working as fixed-term teachers at public elementary, middle, and high schools in Korea and 7 teachers who started teaching on a fixed-term basis but passed the teacher appointment test in the middle and are currently working as regular teachers are analyzed. analyzed.&#x0D; As a result of the case analysis, it was confirmed that some of the nine disadvantageous factors, such as vigorous activity(亂立) or biased(偏重), shockinduced movement(衝動), helplessness(無力), or lack(不足), were mixed in Gyeok(格) and Yongshin (用神), Ilgan (日干), Sipseong (十星). Of the total 20 people Saju (四柱), 4 used Gwanseong(官星) as Gyeok(格), and 10 used it as Kyuk-yongsin(格用神) or Chofu-Yongshin(調候用神). As a result of analyzing the trend of luck in the year of passing the teacher appointment test of seven former fixed-term teachers (currently regular teachers), four were helped by Gwanseong-un(官星運), and three were supplemented with JaeSung-un(財星運) and Inseong-un(印星運), which coexist with inertia.&#x0D; Due to the nature of the teacher's job of acquiring and educating knowledge through learning, the interaction power of the sigjaegwan-in(食財官印) is necessary to the extent that it is difficult to determine the importance, so partial bias or lack can weaken the link between win-win. Therefore, it was confirmed that the win-win structure needs to be stably constructed in harmony with balance, and among them, it was confirmed that the difference between fixed-term teachers and regular teachers was significant in the status of education officials, so the weight and role of Gwanseong(官星) were significant.

Abstract:
Abstract: According to the 'romantic' thesis, normative principles have a transcendent, ideal, and absolute character. They aim to fill the gaps of the legislation in an incomplete law. They preserve the coherence and harmony of the juridical system. They are issued by induction from fragmentary dispositions until they become 'suspended in the mind of law' - this vision is unrealistic. Though principles stand out of the scope of written law (they are fundamentally extra-textual or extra legem), they feed an already complete positive law at the cost of setting aside texts or rules that are available but considered inadequate or inopportune. Finally, the principle is naturally opposed to norms of which it overrides the binding force of the law. The genus of principles includes another species than the normative principle: the instrumental principle. Its function is to transfer rules of law between distinct juridical orders and to be used as the formal vector of some norms, under the aegis of a judge or an international arbiter reasoning (allegedly) by analogy and by referring to comparative law. The international public law, the EU law, and the international private relations law are the most importing or borrowing branches of law, wherein 'common principles' and 'bridge-principles' are the vectors of a vertical or horizontal transfer of rules - such as fundamental 'rights', which are not normative principles in essence.

Abstract:
Through the poetry of Australian writer and activist John Kinsella (b. 1963), this article emphasizes the actual, embodied—rather than metaphorical—dimensions of the death of plants vis-à-vis the pressing international context of accelerating botanical diversity loss (Hopper) and the anthropogenic disruption of floristic communities globally (Pandolfi and Lovelock). On many levels—scientific, ecological, social, metaphysical—a fuller appreciation of plant life necessitates an understanding of their decline, decay, and demise. Toward a more nuanced appreciation of plant lives, the discussion draws a distinction—but aims to avoid a binary— between biogenic and anthropogenic instances of plant-death. Considering the correlation between vegetal existence, human well-being, and our co-constituted lives and deaths, I assert that a more encompassing and ecoculturally transformative outlook on plants involves not only an acknowledgement of their qualities of percipient aliveness but also a recognition of their senescence and perishing. Kinsella’s poetry reflects such themes. His botanical melancholia derives from the gravely fragmented locus of his ecological consciousness: the ancient, native plantscape existing as small, disconnected remnants within the agro-pastoral wheatbelt district of Western Australia. Consequently, rather than an incidental occurrence, plant-death is essential to Kinsella’s enunciation of radical pastoralism as a counterweight to an idyllic textualization of botanical nature as existing in an unimpacted Arcadian state of harmony, balance, and equitable exchange with the built environment (Kinsella Disclosed 1–46).

Abstract:
The UN projects that 80% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas by the year 2050. The big rise in urbanization is anticipated to happen in Asia and Africa, and Jordan is no exemption. Dietary shifts and changes in food, energy and water nexus demands are all associated with rapid urbanization and population growth. These ramifications could even exacerbate the stress already existing on natural resources. Concerns about food security had been highlighted in 2020 and most recently in 2022 in the Jeddah Security and Development Summit, by His Majesty King Abdullah II, as the country suffered from food insecurity resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic had brought extra burden to an already battered economy in Jordan. It also has forced ~55% of households in Jordan to resort to the crisis by food-related survival strategies such as reducing number of meals to make ends meet. Different researchers have called to a transformation in the way the cities are planned and governed to value them in the “post-pandemic era”, to enhance futureproof models that are in harmony with local conditions and planetary boundaries, such as a “regenerative city” model aiming for greater resilience and to achieve SDGs the country pledged to. This paper highlights such facts and associated challenges through examining different literaturesto find that research on vertical farming is currently noticeable. It is believed that such method wouldestablish better understanding scholarly base of vertical farming’s theory and practice. Accordingly, the examined literatures proofed to legitimate the urgent need for the “Smart Vertical Farming Hub” at Isra University (Jordan). It successfully produced different types of greenery leaves, green pepper, and strawberry. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, the nature of this project in Jordan is considered as a unique initiative aiming towardsdeveloping resilient Jordanian cities.

Abstract:
Abstract Background: This article is part of the research work:The cultural conflicts in Colombia: Case Tibu, which purpose was to analyze the causes that have led to the permanent violence and social instability in the Catatumbo region, particularly focused on this municipality, with an anthropological approach, framed within the cultural behavior analysis of a particular social group. The diversified traditions and native indigenous people of this land used to live in harmony with the nature [1], which was altered by the invasion of outer cultures that have turned this town into a cultural hybridization [2], as several of them got inserted becoming a cultural whole, which in fact have built a social order regarding the welfare and peace among the entire society and nature. Objective: To identify the conflicts that generate violence and social and cultural instability in the Catatumbo region, centered on the town of Tibu, Norte de Santander, Colombia. Methods: For this purpose, this research was conducted under the social-critical paradigm, with quantitative approach. The design was based on the documentary, bibliographic, and descriptive analysis, supported by on-field research. Results: As determined in the research, it can be defined that 90% of the population perceives the high degree of state abandonment as the main cause of violence, along with lack of economic resources to cover basic needs of the civilian population (health, education, housing, among others.), the social exclusion due to lack of roads and opportunities for steady employment, making the increasing cultural violence to be empowered and perpetuated throughout the municipality. Conclusion: The main conclusion from this research is that in the municipality of Tibu expresses different types of violence with cultural violence being the most prevalent. The implementation of a new cultural model of peace is recommended to build peaceful coexistence within the municipality of Tibu.

Abstract:
This article aims to explore the profound philosophy of life held by the Mandailing ethnic group in maintaining the relationship between humans and the environment from a cultural ecological perspective. Employing an ethnohistorical approach, this research analyzes and synthesizes relevant ethnographic literature along with field research data. The focus of this study is on the philosophies "Poda Na Lima" and "Holong do Maroban Domu, Domu Maroban Parsaulian" as locally inherited wisdom passed down through generations by the Mandailing ethnic group to foster a harmonious relationship with nature. Key figures such as village chiefs, traditional leaders, religious figures, and community elders from Mandailing Natal Regency serve as research subjects and informants. The research findings conclude that "Poda Na Lima" and "Holong do Maroban Domu, Domu Maroban Parsaulian" impart local wisdom values such as compassion, cleanliness, and health in maintaining the harmonization of the relationship between humans and nature. These philosophies continue to be inherited and practiced in the daily lives of the Mandailing community, particularly among agrarian populations in rural areas. In practice, nature is positioned as a source of wisdom, not an object of exploitation, and is internalized to preserve ecological balance.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Although China enjoys a good tradition of sustainability, and has made great stride at addressing pressing environmental problems, it still lacks a substantial environmental base for sustainable development. The national ecological condition seriously deteriorated in the 1990s. This paper examines major ecological challenges and explores a new path towards sustainable development. THe paper points out that the weakness of sustainability in CHina is primarily determined by the fragility of the national ecological geography and the huge population. However, the present underdeveloped market is a key driving force for ecological problems, because it maintains a powerful mechanism that delivers a higher pressure on the land. The prospect of CHina's sustainable development depends on the transformation of the market mechanism. However, realizing sustainable development necessitates taking a Chinese approach, which is aimed at a modest development oriented towards a comfortable lifestyle and based on a harmony of the society with nature. Sustainable development is in the mainstream of today's ideology. As one of the largest developing countries in the world, CHina has paid a great attention to ti. It is still one of the top pressing issues, and it is an arduous task for China to approach sustainable development in the new century. As a contribution to the UN Summit of Rio+10, this paper examines the progress and problems on the subject of sustainable development in China. The original concept and primary principles of sustainable development is introduced in Section 2. However, China should have its own deeper understanding of sustainable development because of its long history and cultural tradition in sustainability. This history is narrated in Section 1. Major actions taken in the past decade and their achievements are summarized in SEction 3. Today's national pressing ecological problems are introduced in Section 4, and explained in Section 5. A chinese path towards sustainable development is explored in Section 6. The last section gives a general conclusion for the paper.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Many authors have noted the role that anthropocentrism has played in creating humanity’s dysfunctional relationship with the natural world. As human hubris (excessive pride or self-confidence) is an ailment that contributes to the anthropogenic sixth mass extinction of Earth’s biodiversity, we argue instead for ‘harmony with nature’. In recent decades, even the conservation discourse has become increasingly anthropocentric. Indeed, justification for nature conservation has in part shifted from nature’s intrinsic value to ‘ecosystem services’ for the benefit of people. Here we call for a transformation to a more harmonious human-nature relationship that is grounded in mutual respect and principled responsibility, instead of utilitarianism and enlightened self-interest. Far from what Tennyson called ‘red in tooth and claw’, we argue nature is a mixture of cooperation as well as competition. We argue that the UN’s ‘Harmony with Nature’ program is an innovative and refreshing path for change. If we are to achieve harmony with nature, modern industrial society will need to abandon its anthropocentric ‘human supremacy’ mindset and adopt an ecocentric worldview and ecological ethics. We conclude it is thus both appropriate (and essential) for conservationists to champion harmony with nature.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Modernization has been the fundamental trend in world history since the modern era, and countries have explored their own paths to modernization. The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China introduced the concept of Chinese path to modernization and systematically expounded its five main features. From the perspective of Latin America, there has been significant attention to China's pursuit of modernization, particularly in three aspects: common prosperity for all, harmony between humanity and nature, peaceful development. This paper analyzes Latin America's concerns about Chinese path to modernization, and discusses the enlightenment and reference of Chinese path to modernization to Latin America in realizing its own modernization. The study found that the successful experience of the Chinese path to modernization road has enriched the choices and ways of Latin America's modernization, provided a reference template for Latin America to accelerate its modernization process, and the further development of China- Latin America cooperative relations will also provide new options and opportunities to enhance the international influence of Latin American countries.
