Abstract:
This article examines the features of motion verbs in the Russian language, exploring the degree of their study, existing classifications, and new theoretical approaches. Motion verbs play a crucial role in Russian speech, expressing not only physical movement but also metaphorical meanings, which makes them significantly challenging for foreign students to master. Special attention is given to the classification of unidirectional and multidirectional verbs, as well as to prefix and suffix forms that modify their meanings. The analysis of modern teaching methods, including cognitive and interc

The article investigates the textual potential of concrete and multidirectional verbs of motion (based on the original and translated texts of P. Süskind “Die Geschichte von Herrn Sommer”). Textual specificity of verbs of motion is considered with the support of semantic-pragmatic features of the verb subsystems of two languages. For Russian verbs of motion, the concept of direction is relevant, since any movement is carried out in space by a certain trajectory (idti – hodit’, bresti – brodit’, letet’ – letat’, bezhat’ – begat’). Abstract This study explores the diachronic development of the Mandarin complex directional complement guòlái ‘come over’ from the macro-event perspective. By analyzing data retrieved from the CCL corpus spanning 15 Chinese dynasties (1046 BCE-1920s), this study reveals that guòlái ‘come over’ can be initially traced back to the pattern guò N (ér) lái, where guò and lái functioned as distinct motion verbs. It then served as a motion verb, which subsequently grammaticalized into a directional complement. The diachronic evolution of the macro-event types represented by the V guòlái construction

AbstractIn this work, anisotropic line‐like textures with gradually increasing spatial periods from 2.0 to 4.8 µm are fabricated on stainless steel by two‐beam Direct Laser Interference Patterning using a ps‐laser source. The influence of unidirectional texture gradients on anisotropic wetting properties is studied by depositing 1 µL water droplets.
