Abstract:
The problem that we are addressing in this thesis is the problem of sampling uniformly the cliques of a target size k of any given graph. As a natural approach for solving this problem, we used the already available state-of-the-art heuristic MAX-CLIQUE solvers. The heuristic MAX-CLIQUE algorithms, which we used for this task, have k-CLIQUE solvers as their subroutines. This thesis therefore examines how uniformly some of the state-of-the-art stochastic local search MAX-CLIQUE algorithms sample target cliques of graphs, and suggests various methods to improve their sampling performance. Modern signal processing applications emerging in telecommunication and instrumentation industries have placed an increasing demand for ADCs with higher speed and resolution. The most fundamental challenge in such a progress lies at the heart of the classic signal processing: the Shannon-Nyquist sampling theorem which stated that when sampled uniformly, there is no way to increase the upper frequency in the signal spectrum and still unambiguously represent the signal except by raising the sampling rate. This thesis is dedicated to the exploration of the ways to break through the Shannon-Nyquis

This thesis is about digital control theory and presents an account of methods for enabling and analysing intentional non-uniform sampling in discrete compensators. Most conventional control algorithms cause numerical problems where data is collected at sampling rates that are substantially higher than the dynamics of the equivalent continuous-time operation that is being implemented. This is of relevant interest in applications of digital control, in which high sample rates are routinely dictated by the system stability requirements rather than the signal processing needs. Importance sampling is a well known variance reduction technique for Monte Carlo simulation. For quasi-Monte Carlo integration with low discrepancy sequences it was neglected in the literature although it is easy to see that it can reduce the variation of the integrand for many important integration problems. For lattice rules importance sampling is of highest importance as it can be used to obtain a smooth periodic integrand. Thus the convergence of the integration procedure is accelerated. Because it is very convenient to sharing, modification, and carry, the image may be destroyed by malicious person. Therefore, the mechanism of image protection is appreciated. In this recent year, image hashing, also called image compression code, is developed for handle this issue. There are numerous applications, such as image retrieval, authentication, temper detection, etc. The hash value is a short string that presents the content-based feature of the image.

碩士<br>國立交通大學<br>電子研究所<br>105<br>By exploiting the multirate re-sampling signal processing technique to design a fractional rate linear-phase FIR filter bank, the overall complexity of the sub-band DSP algorithms followed by the filter bank can be efficiently reduced. However, the applied fractional sampling rate conversions (SRCs) complicates the hardware complexity of the filter bank when implementation. In this thesis, we proposed a straightforward scheduling algorithm for fractional SRC to address the above issue. Then, a new implementation of a 10-ms, 18-band, 1/3-octave quasi-ANSI filter

Abstract:
The aim of the project was to utilize the advanced high dimensional NMR methods with NUS implementations for the chemical shift assignments in the spectra of intrinsically disordered proteins/protein regions and nucleic acids. The project also involved the development of new high dimensional approaches for nucleic acids. Intrinsically disordered proteins are in abundance in organisms and their study is essential for understanding numerous diseases, in particular cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Since they lack a stable structure and have fast conformational dynamics, their NMR spectra

Abstract:

Abstract:
Triangle-mesh modeling, as one of the approaches for representing images based on nonuniform sampling, has become quite popular and beneficial in many applications. In this thesis, image representation using triangle-mesh models and its application in image scaling are studied. Consequently, two new methods, namely, the SEMMG and MIS methods are proposed, where each solves a different problem. In particular, the SEMMG method is proposed to address the problem of image representation by producing effective mesh models that are used for representing grayscale images, by minimizing squared error.

Abstract:
The topic of this dissertation is a new algorithm for processing of sparsely sampled data sets from multidimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments. NMR remains one of the major experimental technique for studying biological macromolecules. However, increasing size of investigated objects poses a challenge for NMR due to rapidly decreasing sensitivity and increasing signal crowding. The first chapter focuses on recent advances in sensitivity enhancements and summarises a few solutions for resolution of spectral overlap. Subsequently, one describes the crucial and limiting problem
