There is limited investigation of the interaction between motor unit recruitment and rate coding for modulating force during standing or responding to external perturbations. Fifty-seven motor units were recorded from the medial gastrocnemius muscle with intramuscular electrodes in response to external perturbations in standing. Anteriorly directed perturbations were generated by applying loads in 0.45-kg increments at the pelvis every 25–40 s until 2.25 kg was maintained. Motor unit firing rate was calculated for the initial recruitment load and all subsequent loads during two epochs: 1) dyna

In this paper, a sub-critical 600 MW power generating unit produced by Shanghai Turbine Generator Corporation has been used for the operation optimization test of main steam pressure. The test has chosen seven loads and four run ways during peaking loads. The economical sliding pressure operation curve of peak load unit can be obtained from the test. The experimental results show that the unit should choose rated pressure operation when load is larger than 470MW, and choose two valve points sliding pressure operation when load is under 470MW to get the lowest heat consumption.

The paper considers the possibility of equipping engineering vehicles with inertial capacitance energy storage units, which should allow the power plant loads to be evened out, in turn leading to reducing the output power, mass and dimensions of the plant. In a range of engineering vehicles, such as excavators, bulldozers, diesel shunter locomotives and so on, loads are of a substantially irregular character. Peak loads are what determines the output power of power plants. It is evident that the power plant is not fully loaded most of the time. We propose a technological solution for balancing

Sustainability is one of the most critical issues in today's packaging and supply chain industries. With the increase of environmental concerns, there has been a tremendous effort to improve packaging sustainability. However, most of these works have focused on individual packaging components rather than an integrated unit load. In global supply chains, three levels of packaging components (primary, secondary, and tertiary) are commonly assembled in the unit load form to facilitate efficient and economical storage and transport of goods to customers.
