Abstract:
Books are a means of transmitting science and thought as well as ideology. Through diverse books of thought disseminated from the liberal, moderate to the radical. This paper intends to see the diversity and the tendency of discourse of thought contained in various Islamic books that are in public college, which at this time should get serious attention related to the issues of radicalism movement and its ideology that spread in college campus public. Brawijaya University of Malang is one of the leading state universities in East Java, which has a strategic location in the center of East Java province, so it needs serious attention related issues of ideology of radicalism. From the research map of Islamic religious director in Brawijaya University is expected to be mapped the theme of Islamic religious books in Universitas Brawijaya Malang, and can be known the themes of the most popular Islamic religious books in Universitas Brawijaya, and can be identified the tendency of thought in the theme Books of Islam in Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Keywords: Lektor Islam, Universitas Brawijaya, Buku adalah sarana transmisi ilmu pengetahuan dan pemikiran se-kali¬gus ideologi. The library is the heart of a university that has such extensive benefits. The existence of a library also supports the continuation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The influence and utilization of technology (Digital Library), balanced with basic retention in the use of technology, can make it easier for students with disabilities to get information and facilitate communication with others. Therefore, it is important for the environment both the family environment and friendly environment to introduce the use and use of electronic goods. Through this research, it is known the Digital Library media literacy study on Universitas Brawijaya Blind Students. This study aims to analyze the media literacy of the blind for the Digital Library of Universitas Brawijaya and to find out the supporting factors and factors that inhibit the mastery of media literacy for the blind to the Digital Library of Universitas Brawijaya. This study uses a type of case study research with a qualitative approach while data collection in this study uses qualitative observation techniques, qualitative interviews, reviews information obtained through documents, audio-visual material, and documentation results during the research process.

Abstract:
The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education has announced the results of ranking universities in Indonesia. Universitas Brawijaya has experienced ups and downs in ranking. During the period of 2015-2019, the best ranking of Universitas Brawijaya in the fifth recruitment in 2016. This study aims to formulate a series of optimization strategies for improving UB's rank. Research approach with qualitative methods and the literature review technique and focusing on several approaches to formulate strategy, which are Balanced Scorecard, SWOT, and SPACE. Retrieval of data with the method of observation and documentation. While data validation with Triangulation. The results of this study explained that the Balanced Scorecard, SWOT, and SPACE could be used to solve strategy formulation problems. There are eleven strategic steps to optimize and improve Universitas Brawijaya's ranking by following the indicators set by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.

Abstract:
Objective - Media and Public Relations role have a strong relationship. Media needs events to get news, and Public Relations needs media to promote a good image of companies in order to build a good reputation in their stakeholders' society. However, media workers must emphasize the importance of news values and ethic code of journalistic. Media workers often think that bad things of institutions become interesting or good news. It is, in fact, the opposite of what public relations wants. This paper aims for exploring how Universitas Brawijaya's public relations can manage the media relationship to promote its reputation. Methodology - This research employed Focus Group Discussion (FGD) as the second data gathering technique after collecting data through media monitoring. In this qualitative research, researcher involved 24 reporters including print media, broadcasting media and media online. Findings - This research found out that local media gave more chance to cover Universitas Brawijaya activities but national media tended to be more stringent to select events. The media workers expected Universitas Brawijaya either supported or cooperated with media by providing some information related to innovation lecturers or students had created. Finally, the media workers also argued that media would not cover events such as ceremonial activities, student activities or guest lecture which have no strong. Novelty - This research has been really conducted after PR position in the organizational structure in UB is directly under rector. Abstract:
In line with the government's efforts to encourage the growth of entrepreneurs among the younger generation, several universities in Indonesia (one of them is Universitas Brawijaya) has set an entrepreneurship course as one of the mandatory courses at the undergraduate level. However, to date, no systematic research and publications have been found on the effectiveness of those entrepreneurship education. Therefore, by using the theory of perception, the purpose of this study is to evaluate whether an entrepreneurship education provided to students of Universitas Brawijaya is able to foster their entrepreneurial intentions. Specifically, this study analyzes the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intentions mediated by feasibility and entrepreneurial self-efficacy. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach. The population of this research is all active students of Universitas Brawijaya who have taken entrepreneurship courses. The sampling technique used was quota sampling with a total of 150 respondents representing 15 faculties. The data collection method was carried out using a survey questionnaire. The analytical tool used in this study is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study indicate that feasibility and entrepreneurial self-efficacy mediate the effect of entrepreneurship education on the student’s entrepreneurial intentions. Selaras dengan upaya pemerintah untuk mendorong tumbuhnya wirausaha di kalangan generasi muda, beberapa universitas di Indonesia (termasuk Universitas Brawijaya) telah menetapkan mata kuliah kewirausahaan sebagai salah satu mata kuliah wajib pada strata S1. Namun, sampai saat ini belum ditemukan penelitian serta publikasi yang sistematis tentang efektifitas pendidikan kewirausahaan tersebut. Untuk itu, dengan menggunakan teori persepsi, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi apakah pendidikan kewirausahaan yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya mampu menumbuhkan niat berwirausaha bagi mahasiswa. Secara spesifik, penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap niat berwirausaha dengan dimediasi oleh feasibility dan entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa aktif Universitas Brawijaya yang telah menempuh mata kuliah kewirausahaan. Teknik sampel yang dipergunakan adalah teknik quota sampling dengan total responden berjumlah 150 dari 15 fakultas yang ada di Universitas Brawijaya. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan survey questionnaire. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa feasibility dan entrepreneurial self-efficacy memediasi pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap niat berwirausaha.

The purpose of this research is to know the competence of lecturer according to students Of Psychology University of Brawijaya. This research uses qualitative survey method with explorative type. Sampling method using non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this research is the student of psychology, University of Brawijaya generation 2014 totaling 107 students. Analytical techniques used are thematic analysis technique Boyatzis by using the Microsoft Excel program and R-Studio Package RQDA.Based on the results of the research competence of lecturer according to students of psychology. it can be concluded that the competence of the lecturers most needed by students in a row is the competence of personality 42.25%, the competence of social 24.95%, the competence of pedagogic 23.07% and the competence of professional 9.08%, which is shown based on the percentage of the highest to the lowest.Keywords: The competence of lecturers, Students of psychology

KAMMI (Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa Muslim Indonesia) merupakan salah satu organisasi ekstra kampus Universitas Brawijaya yang aktif di dalam kegiatan politik kampus dan mendominasi posisi penting organisasi intra kampus. Keterlibatannya di dalam politik kampus merupakan pengejawantahan usaha menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam melalui sarana politik. Untuk mempertahankan visi KAMMI dan bentuk organisasi, kaderisasipun dilakukan. Sayangnya, upaya kaderisasi KAMMI tidaklah mudah. Hal ini berkaitan dengan berbagai faktor yang menyebabkan kader KAMMI tetap bertahan atau tidak. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap alasan kader KAMMI untuk bertahan atau tidak bertahan di dalam organisasi. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara secara mendalam kepada 13 informan dan data sekunder seperti dokumen dan jurnal. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode induktif dengan triangulasi sebagai metode validitas data. Dari penelitian ini diketahui sistem kaderisasi yang dilakukan oleh KAMMI menggunakan sistem berjenjang dimana untuk naik setiap levelnya membutuhkan pelatihan khusus. Upaya kaderisasi lewat sistem pendidikan berjenjang ini merupakan upaya menghasilkan kader yang loyal dan setia terhadap nilai-nilai di dalam organisasi. Namun ternyata latar belakang keluarga, lingkungan pergaulan, dan pilihan serta harapan individu sangat mempengaruhi keputusan kader untuk bertahan atau tidak bertahan sebagai kader KAMMI. Akhirnya, ketika tidak banyak kader yang bertahan maka KAMMI mengalami kesulitan untuk mempertahankan organisasi dan nilai yang diperjuangkan. Maka memperhatikan 3 faktor tersebut dalam kaderisasi menjadi penting untuk dilakukan KAMMI agar organisasi dapat bertahan.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um021v3i12018p016

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi kebijakan Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha pada Universitas Brawijaya dan Universitas Negeri Malang di Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan evaluatif yang berbasis kasus pada kedua universitas pelaksana PMW dengan metode evaluasi program dengan model CIPO. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Konteks evaluasi, suatu perencanaan PMW merujuk pada latar belakang, landasan formal dan operasional pelaksanaan, tujuan, dan manfaat bagi pemangku kepentingan dengan capaian evaluasinya tinggi; (2) Input evaluasi, adanya perbedaan mekanisme pengalokasian dana bantuan antara PMW-UB dan PMW-UM yang menyebabkan capaian evaluasinya moderat, sedangkan pada indikator lain capaian evaluasinya tinggi; (3) Proses evaluasi, terdapat enam belas kriteria evaluasi yang berkategori tinggi, enam kriteria evaluasi yang berkategori moderat dan dua kriteria evaluasi yang berkategori rendah; sedangkan (4) Output evaluasi, indikator mahasiswa yang berwirausaha dan unit usaha yang dikembangkan mahasiswa dengan evaluasi capaiannya rendah.Kata kunci: Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha, Model Evaluasi CIPO EVALUATION OF STUDENT ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM WITH CIPO MODEL IN BRAWIJAYA UNIVERSITY AND THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF MALANGAbstractThis research is aimed at evaluating the implementation of the Student Entrepreneurial Program policies at Brawijaya University and the State University of Malang in East Java. This study uses a case-based evaluative approach at both University, Brawijaya University and the State University of Malang with program evaluation methods. The model used in this research was CIPO model. The results showed: Context evaluation, a PMW planning refers to background, formal foundation and operational implementation, purpose, and benefits for the stakeholders to the achievement of a high evaluation; Input evaluation, the difference in the mechanism of allocating funds between PMW-UB and PMW-UM is causing moderate evaluation outcomes, whereas the other indicators of high achievement evaluation; Process evaluation, there are sixteen high-category evaluation criteria, six criteria of moderate categorization and two low evaluation criteria; and outputs evaluation, indicators student entrepreneurship and business unit developed a student with low achievements evaluation. Abstract:
Penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan pliometrik double leg speed hop danhopscotch terhadap peningkatan power tungkai pada atlet pencak silat PSHT (PersaudaraanSetia Hati Terate) di Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancanganpenelitian eksperimental. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengambilan sampel 14 orangdengan menggunakan penarikan sampel nonprobability sampling dengan teknik samplingjenuh di UKM pencak silat PSHT di Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian inimenggunakan teknik pengumpulan data uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji ANOVA. Hasilanalisis menunjukkan bahwa latihan pliometrik double leg speed hop lebih baik dalammeningkatkan power tungkai atlet UKM pencak silat PSHT di Universitas BrawijayaMalang daripada latihan hopscotch.

Abstract:
This study aimed to understand, describe, and analyze the management of public information disclosure, support and inhibiting factors, and efforts to improve the management of public information disclosure in one of the autonomous universities, Universitas Brawijaya (UB). This study uses the case study method with a qualitative approach. This study adopted a participative observation, in-depth interviews with five key informants, collecting documents, and audio-visual material to collected data. The finding of this study shows that management of public information disclosure in UB refers to Public Information Disclosure Number 14 the Year of 2008 (UU KIP). It refers to Regulation from Minister of Education and Culture Number 75 the Year of 2016 about Public Information Services in Universities that are provided through integrated service information center (PINTER) UB. UB also provided service of complaints and community satisfaction surveys. Management of Public Information Disclosure in UB influenced by the existence of supporting factors from UB manager and e-complaint system and internet network to support services activity. In contrast, the inhibiting factors are arising from lack of management in faculty or work unit and the lack of socialization from Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID / IDMO) and Information, Documentation, and Complaints Center (PIDK / IDCC) to the academic communities. It made service yet utilized optimally. Besides, the efforts to improve the management of public information disclosure always carried out to improve service quality such as 1) establish good relations between staff, enhancing coordination between faculties and work units, 2) Increasing coordination with Manager and Quality Assurance Unit (QUA), 3) Using new regulation the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Number 14 of 2017, and 4) Adding three-division managers, such as Manager of information services, the Manager of user complaints and survey, and Manager of verification and data integration mapping.

ABSTRACT Background: Fulfilment of nutrition in the first 1000 days of life greatly affects the development of a child’s brain and body. If the nutritional intake is not fulfilled, the impact on children’s development will be permanent, one of which is stunting. This study aimed to compare the quality of antenatal care (ANC) by midwives in the stunting locus and not the stunting locus village. Subjects and Method: This was a comparative analytic with cross-sectional study conducted in stunting locus and not stunting locus village in Malang Regency from August-December 2019. A total of 84 midwives were enrolled in this study by purposive sampling. The data were collected by questionnaire. Data were analyzed using a multiple linear regression. Results: Quality of ANC in stunting locus and not stunting locus village were not showing good results. The most dominant influence on the quality of ANC midwives in the stunting locus was the length of work of the midwives. Meanwhile, the most dominant influence on the quality of ANC midwives in non-stunting locus was the latest education. Conclusion: Quality of ANC in stunting locus and not stunting locus village are not yet showing good results.
