Yet, the comparative advantages it presents and the facilities it has recently offered to firms and investors do not always come at a low cost, particularly in the form of externalities. These costs may appear while consumers use financial innovations or services that may engender predatory lending practices, the misuse of complex financial products, or other consumer threats. AbstractRadical geography came only patchily to Nordic geography, and the development of theoretical Marxist geography was even sparser. But in the radical geography environment at Copenhagen University, a group of geographers in the 1970s developed a vocal and self-assured Marxist theory, which became known as the territorial-structure approach and drew its inspiration from the work of the GDR geographer Gerhard Schmidt-Renner. In this chapter we present a critical discussion of the territorial-structure approach as an example of an early theorisation of geography from a Marxist perspective.

It aims to identify educational models that structure pedagogical practice at this level of studies. It distinguishes the types of professional and human education promoted in each one of the presented models (French, German and American) as well as liberal education, identified as a global trend. Relating the current socio-cultural political and economic context with education with the support of Godwin (2015), Berg (2012) and Jansen (1999) we argue that liberal education provides a structure

This article is devoted to revealing the theoretical background of dyslexia in young adults to substantiate the chosen approach for mobile learning games. Education in the 21st century has changed just the same as young adult learners; especially those who have some developmental problems, such as developmental dyslexia. If they are lucky to encounter smart teachers, understanding parents, siblings and peers, they succeed in the education system, they reach learning goals and are satisfied with their life quality. If there are gaps between regulations, rules and the real situation, learners lo

In order to render prevention of intellectual misconduct efficient, the University of Bucharest has conducted a series of empirical studies starting with 2017. Perhaps the most important finding of these researches was the fact that tolerance towards academic fraud is substantially decreasing along the academic stages, from PhD students to MA students and undergraduates. A similar research was initiated among college students in Bucharest. The conclusion was the same regarding the evolution of the attitudes towards intellectual fraud: during school time the tolerance towards academic fraud is

Abstract Transparency is an important characteristic that has to be achieved in a haptic interface. In an exoskeletal device, this requirement translates into an active compensation scheme that renders a massless mechanism. Specifically, one has to balance gravitational, Coriolis, and inertia forces/torques of the mechanical structure. The success of such compensation methods strictly relies on an effective identification of the system parameters that appear in the dynamic equations of the interface. In this paper we apply a novel parameter identification method that achieves this task. We con

Grit, creative self-efficacy and entrepreneurial self-efficacy have been associated with the development of entrepreneurial behaviours that can prepare students for a rapidly changing world of work. The main purpose of this study is to analyse the relationship between the three variables amongst first-year university students. A positive relationship, albeit modest, was found between grit and the two measures of self-efficacy. Furthermore, findings suggest that grit can be considered a predictor variable for student self-efficacy beliefs in the context of entrepreneurship. However, this relati
