V roce 2017 byl zahájen projekt CzechElib, jehož cílem je zlepšit přístup k elektronickým informačním zdrojům (EIZ) v ČR. V rám-ci organizační struktury Národní technické knihovny vzniklo národní centrum CzechElib. Centrum zajišťuje výběr EIZ, kterým bude poskytnuta centrální finanční podpora, provádí výběrová řízení na dodavatele EIZ, sjednává licenční smlouvy a vlastní nákup. Členy projektu jsou vysoké školy, výzkumné ústavy, knihovny a nemocnice. Jedním z členů je i Národní lékařská knihovna, která zajišťuje přístup k EIZ pro obor lékařství a zdra-votnictví. Z dalších institucí, zajišťujících přístup k medicínským EIZ to jsou: 9 nemocnic, 11 výzkumných ústavů a 13 univerzit.Centrální finanční podporu mohou získat pouze instituce, které byly schváleny jako výzkumné organizace na Ministerstvu školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy. Centrum zajišťuje pouze EIZ, o které mají zájem minimálně 3 instituce.Prostřednictvím CzechElibu bylo pro rok 2018 zajištěno při-bližně 13 všeobecných EIZ (včetně 2 citačních) a 17 EIZ zaměře-ných na lékařské vědy. Všechny zdroje jsou zahraniční. Přístup k EIZ je vždy ošetřen licenčními smlouvami, některé zdroje mohou využívat pouze zaměstnanci instituce, akademic-ká obec, studenti nebo všichni registrovaní uživatelé, vždy by měla být možnost tzv. walk-in users na místě samém. Možnost vzdáleného přístupu do medicínských EIZ pro širokou veřejnost zajišťují zejména odborné knihovny (Národní lékařská knihov-na, Národní technická knihovna, Knihovna Akademie věd ČR), u některých i Univerzita Karlova.Na vzorku 50 časopiseckých titulů s nejvyšším impact fac-torem pro obor lékařské vědy byla ověřena jejich dostupnost v ČR. Obdobně byla ověřena dostupnost základních časopisů pro obory: všeobecné lékařství, pediatrie a diabetologie.Dostupnost byla ověřována v CzechElibu, v portálu Medvik, v EZB (Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek) a ve VPK (Virtuální polytechnická knihovna).

T he second edition of J ohann B ehrendt ’ s hymn book ISZ naujo pérweizd ėtos ir pagérintos Giesm û-Knygos AND PRAYER BOOK Maldû-Knygélos (1735): an unknown copy in Prague The article presents a 1735 Lithuanian publication from Königsberg (Lith. Karaliaučius) which was believed to not have survived—the hymn book for Prussian Lithuania’s Evangelical Lutherans Iß naujo pérweizdėtos ir pagérintos Giesmû-Knygos (Reviewed and Improved Hymn-book) and the prayer book Maldû-Knygélos (Prayer-book). The only known copy of the second edition of the hymn book and the prayer book was discovered in the National Library of the Czech Republic (Czech Národní knihovna České republiky; NK ČR: 33 K 139) in Prague. It has not been registered in Lithuanian bibliographies. Just as the first 1732 edition, the second edition appeared thanks to the initiative of the theology professor of the University of Königsberg and the chief court preacher, Johann Jacob Quandt (Lith. Jonas Jokūbas Kvantas, 1686–1772), while the archpresbyter of Insterburg (Lith. Įsrutis), Johann Behrendt (Lith. Jonas Berentas, 1667–1737), led the editing team. Aiming to reveal the differences of the second edition from the first, and to highlight the editing tendencies of the hymn and prayer books, this article not only discusses the main features of the copy, but also analyzes the structure of the 1735 edition including the repertoire of new hymns and linguistic particularities of the texts of hymns and prayers written in Lithuanian. Provenance research revealed that the copy belonged to the Lithuanian Dovydas Blindinaitis or Bl(i)undinaitis before reaching this library, and this is supported by handwritten inscriptions on the front and back flyleaves. He acquired the book in 1736 for 33 groschen and must have been its first owner. The imprint “REGIÆ BIBLIOTH: ACAD: PRAGEN:” (“Royal Library of the Academy of Prague”) which is seen on the title page of the hymn book could only appear after 1777 when the Public Imperial-Royal University Library (Czech Veřejná císařsko-královská univerzitní knihovna) in Prague had been established. From the perspective of structure, the 1735 Lithuanian publication is a convolute which consists of two alligates: (1) hymn book and (2) prayer book. The hymn book comprises: (a) two introductions—one written by Quandt in German and one written by Behrendt in Lithuanian, (b) the main section of the hymn book and its appendix “Kittos naujos Gieſmes ßwėey pridėtos” (“Other new recently added hymns”), (c) two indexes—the index for the Lithuanian hymns “Prirodijimas Wiſſû Gieſmû, ant kurro Laißko jos ßoſa Knygoſa randamos yra” (“A listing of all hymns which page they are found on in this book”) and the index of German original hymns called a “Regiſter” (“Register”). The prayer book comprises prayers, collects, the story of Christ’s suffering, and a list of thematic groups of these texts marked “Prirodijimas Wiſſû Maldû” (“A listing of all prayers”). The second (1735) edition of the hymn book differs remarkably from the first (1732) in its structure and scope: (1) All of the hymns that had been previously included in the 1732 edition’s “Appendix arba Kittos naujos Gieſmes ßwėey pridėtos” (“Appendix or other new recently added hymns”) (a total of 34) were integrated into the main section of the hymn book of the 1735 edition comprising 334 hymns; their thematic groupings and subgroupings remained the same; (2) The 1735 edition does not include one of the hymns published in 1732: Peter Gottlieb Mielcke’s (Lith. Petras Gotlybas Milkus, 1695–1753) translation “MIeli Krikßćionis dʒaukimės” (“Dear Christians let us rejoice”) (← Martin Luther, “Nun freut euch lieben Chriſten”); (3) The 1735 edition was supplemented with 26 hymns, that is to say, the second edition comprises 360 hymns. The new hymns are published in the appendix “Kittos naujos Gieſmes ßwėey pridėtos” (“Other new recently added hymns”). Cryptonyms attached to these hymns attest to the fact that their translators were two priests of Prussian Lithuania. For the first time, 18 hymns of the priest of Didlacken (Lith. Didlaukiai), Fabian Ulrich Glaser (Lith. Fabijonas Ulrichas Glazeris, 1688–1747), were included in this hymn book. The priest of Popelken (Lith. Papelkiai), Adam Friedrich Schimmelpfennig (Lith. Adomas Frydrichas Šimelpenigis, 1699–1763), translated 8 new hymns (while 15 of his hymns that had been already published in the 1732 edition were presented in the main section of the hymn book of the 1735 edition). The new repertoire of the Lithuanian hymn book was compiled from the translations of the following German hymn creators of the 16th–18th centuries: Johann Georg Albinus (1624–1679), Martin Behm (1557–1622), Kaspar Bienemann (Melissander, 1540–1591), Simon Dach (1605–1659), Johann Burchard Freystein (1671–1718), Paul Gerhardt (1607–1676), Johannes Gigas (Heune, 1514–1581), Ludwig Andreas Gotter (1661–1735), Johann Heermann (1585–1647), Heinrich Held (1620–1659), Martin Moller (1547–1606), Johann Rist (1607–1667), Samuel Rodigast (1649–1708), Johann Röling (1634–1679), Gottfried Wilhelm Sacer (1635–1699), Arnold Heinrich Sahme (1676–1734), Benjamin Schmolck (1672–1737). In contrast to the hymn book, the structure of the 1735 prayer book published concurrently were not changed; the thematic groups of prayers remained essentially the same as they were in the first edition of 1732. Texts of both the hymn book and the prayer book were edited. The editing tendencies in both are similar and encompass all linguistic levels (phonetics, morphology, lexicon, syntax), as well as orthography and punctuation, but the intensity of editing was different. The orthographic corrections prevail and the most consistent of them are: [i·] <ij> → <y> (characteristic only of the hymn book), [č’] <ć> → <cʒ> (together with refusing the marker indicating consonant palatalization <i>), [·] <e> → <ė>, [ž] ir [ž’] <Ʒ> → <>, marking accent placement with an acute accent < ’ >. The second edition reflects an important stage in the quantitative and qualitative development of Behrendt’s hymn book. In the second edition that appeared just three years later, we see the further consistent efforts of the editors to expand the repertoire of hymns and improve the texts in terms of language (i.e. they first of all sought to standardize the orthography of texts written in different centuries by many different translators). In contrast to the hymn book, the prayer book was improved along only one vector: the language of the texts was edited according to the same principles, while the number of prayers was not increased. The fact that the editors of the second edition devoted more attention to the hymn book than the prayer book probably stems from the important place that hymns hold in the Evangelical Lutheran liturgy.

Vážení přátelé, příznivci Envigogiky, na přelomu roku znovu silně vnímáme, jak se všechno zrychluje. Pouze Envigogika v roce 2020 zpomalila. Na rozdíl od předchozích let jsme připravili pouze jedno číslo. Utěšujeme se, že tato pomalost je přednost, pokud je spojena s pečlivostí, a právě tou chceme přispívat do všeobecně se stupňujícího publikačního ruchu. Naším dlouhodobým cílem je udržet slow-publishing, takové trochu rukodělné nakládání s metodickými úvahami a názory našich autorů, jež nám laskavě svěřili. Zůstáváme jejich laskavými průvodci, ve vzájemné důvěře procházíme spolu s nimi procesem publikování, nastavujeme vztahy vstřícné pozornosti s recenzenty a všemi dalšími, kdo mají k textu co říci. Jsme malým (stále se zmenšujícím) ostrůvkem v moři hodnocení, uznaných výsledků, budování sfér vlivu – drobných vítězství a ztrát na bojišti moci, která se nyní rozpíná i do okruhu našich sdílených myšlenek a složitě dojednaných východisek vědeckého poznání. Hrozí, že je ovládne. My tuhle hru ale chceme hrát podle pravidel, která si (vědecká i ta obecně lidská) pravda zaslouží. Co je totiž pomalé: růst, zrání, vývoj druhů, ... Čtení jedné knihy od začátku do konce; proces učení, pokud má vést k vnitřní proměně. Láska a vztahy, které přinášejí trvalou hodnotu (i když trvalé samy o sobě nebývají). A taky psaní – to, které si složitě utváří vztah k popisované skutečnosti. Co je naproti tomu rychlé: krize, zánik, smrt, ... Úspěch, když závisí na oblibě a přízni davu. Zázračné vyléčení beze změny zvyklostí, zbohatnutí bez práce. Náhodné štěstí, výhra v hazardu. A co tvorba? Může rychle vzniknout i to, co potom přetrvá – bez přípravy, jen na základě okamžitého vnuknutí? My zde pokládáme vznik za pouhý vnější projev dlouhodobě běžících procesů: přemýšlení, dialogu, vzájemného kritického posuzování. Do těchto procesů se spolu s Envigogikou aktivně zapojujeme, což ostatně můžete i vy. Například se tentokrát nad textem Mikuláše Huby zamyslet, jak se za posledních 30 let vyvinula ochrana přírody na Slovensku, jakou roli v tom hráli jednotliví aktéři (a co na to řekla slovenská veřejnost), a k čemu to nakonec vedlo. Uvažovat spolu s Evou Pechočiakovou Svitačovou a Tomášem Pechočiakem o tom, jak může myšlení budoucích ekonomů formovat kromě jiného koncept ekogramotnosti. O tvorbě odborných textů dostupných online, a možnostech jejich využití ve vysokoškolské výuce vypovídá široce pojatá analýza kvality otevřených vzdělávacích zdrojů (prováděná na zdrojích Univerzity Karlovy); jsou zde představeny fungující wikisystémy využívané s větším či menším zájmem například lékaři, přírodovědci, nebo filosofy a knihovníky. Základem pro využití tématu odpovědné spotřeby ve vzdělávání na nižších stupních pak může být článek Udržitelná spotřeba a životní styl jako vzdělávací téma; představuje vzdělávací cíle, které by učitelé měli sledovat, pokud chtějí (spolu se svými žáky a studenty) působit na společenské změny dosažitelné v běžném životě každého z nás. Učitelům mohou sloužit i další texty z kategorie inspiračních – Plýtvání potravinami ve školních jídelnách autora Zdeňka Talácka, a dvě (stručné a podrobnější) rešerše Moniky Janákové: Krajina k ochutnání týkající se regionální kuchyně a léčitelství, či přehled současných metod zážitkové pedagogiky ve vzdělávání dospělých v zahraničí. Představme si nyní svět, kde všichni vsadí na rychlý úspěch a vzájemně se v této víře podporují. Sdílejí snadno dosažené výsledky, poskytují si navzájem adekvátní odměny. Ochota investovat do výjimečnosti či alespoň jinakosti všeobecně klesá, vždyť naopak zájem mnohých je mírou uznaného přínosu. Kvantita nahrazuje kvalitu a v nastalém shonu, snaze naplnit očekávání, uniká cosi podstatného. Mezery, které si uvědomuje stále méně lidí, se ovšem rychle plní náhražkami. Není už jasné, co nahrazují, a vlastně o to ani nejde. Všichni jsou zahlceni (předměty, informacemi), a kdesi nad hlavami klinkají rolničky, že to je konečně svět dostatku. Otevírá bezpočet nových možností – jen ne tu jedinou. Být sami sebou a hledat si svou vlastní cestu a vyjádření. Envigogika se pokouší tuto příležitost již 15 let přinášet. I proto nevstupujeme do běžných komerčních vztahů a za svou práci nepožadujeme žádnou odměnu. Na začátku jsme nastudovali pravidla, jak správně publikovat, a přijali etické závazky. Těmi se řídíme a jinak zůstáváme nezávislí – s jediným cílem, a tím je prošlapávat cestu tomu, co je nové. A co by se jinde třeba neuplatnilo. Až do toho spolu s námi nepůjdete, až cílem nebude samo sdělení, ale jen jeho impakt, pak tady pro vás už nebudeme. Už teď jsme ale vděčni za ty společně strávené roky, i za debatu, která se na našich stránkách postupně rozvinula. Co si přát do nového roku 2021? Zpočátku budeme šetřit energii, nabírat síly; víme, že to budeme potřebovat. Možná svět bude ještě zpomalený, může se ale najednou zrychlit ještě více – tak, aby dohonil všechny ztráty. Netušíme, ve kterém z těchto dvou případů bychom se mohli ztratit, a který naopak bude příležitostí k novému rozvoji. Možná to ale necháme na vás. V tomto případě můžete klidně hlasovat perem, vlastně klávesnicí. Psát, zůstávat v kontaktu, „on board“. Za všechny vaše podněty, výzvy, i nové texty budeme rádi – a dle svých sil se jim budeme (co nejlépe, a samozřejmě i co nejrychleji) věnovat. The content of this diploma project is to design an university library in the city of Brno, Czech Republic. The object is designed as multistory building with underground stories included. The design is created based on requests brought by the investor and includes architectural, constructional and technological proposes for the building. The aim is to create not only a modern cultural and educational center but also a place of entertainment and relax for students of Vysoké Učení Technické. During the design it is taken in an account the request of having the auditorium and lecture rooms available for public, also.

Tématem práce je rozbor a hodnocení současného stavu univerzitních knihoven ve Spolkové republice Německo se zvláštním zaměřením na budování, provoz a využívání jejich digitálních knihoven. Přihlédnuto je i ke stávající situaci německého knihovnictví. Úvodní část obsahuje stručné informace o německém knihovnictví jako celku a způsobu řízení a financování knihoven. Specifické místo je věnováno Německé národní knihovně, která hraje významnou roli pro univerzitní knihovnictví. Práce zahrnuje podstatné informace o německém univerzitním knihovnictví, jeho organizaci, financování a stěžejním činnostem. Práce prezentuje výsledky analýzy digitálních knihoven vybraných univerzitních knihoven v SRN. Pozornost je věnována obsahu, struktuře, typologii zastoupených dokumentů a způsobech vyhledávání informací. Zahrnuty jsou také informace o propojování jednotlivých digitálních knihoven a systémech mezinárodní spolupráce, např. na úrovni disertací. V závěru práce jsou nastíněny perspektivy dalšího rozvoje digitálních knihoven německých univerzitních knihoven a stručné porovnání se situací v České republice.

The diploma thesis focuses on the development of information literacy and information education in university libraries. Based on theoretical and practical knowledge, the aim of the thesis is to propose a concept of information education in the university library of the University of West Bohemia. First, the theoretical part introduces key terms, content, implementable forms and current approach to information education in the context of the university environment. Moreover, it also specifies the current role of the university library as a provider of information education and defines the main competencies of a librarian as an education coordinator or lecturer. Next, the thesis provides an overview of the current activities aimed at literacy development at the university library. The practical part describes in detail the course of quantitative survey of student needs and preferences related to the analysed issue. The final part of the thesis is based on the research results and facts obtained from the analysis of the current educational programs. It proposes a concept of information education, which defines possible changes to the current situation and offers recommendations for future development of the university library so that it can realize its full potential in this area.

(in English): The theme of this thesis is a strategic plan for the University Library at The Technical University of Liberec for years 2012-2015. The first two parts give a detailed analysis of the present condition of the Library containing all the accessible statistical data and the research outcome of the users needs. Based on the collected data in the following text targets are set which when reached should increase the prestige of the Library and thereby the University. The next chapters outline the specific steps to reach the set targets. A part deals with changing the processes of Acquisitions and Cataloguing. Futhermore additional features as reference services, web sites, accessing Electronic theses, dissertations and organization. Potentially some new things should be considered such as an institutional Repository, a discovery system, expansion of RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification), a selfcheck, providing e-books and other new electronic developments. The conclusion is devoted to the meaning of the strategical plan for the University Library at TUL.

The aim of the thesis is to compare the historical development and current state of the Library of Geology at Faculty of Natural Sciences, Charles University in Prague and the CADIST Géosciences et Environnement library in Paris. In the Introduction, the development of both libraries, including historical contexts, is documented. In the second part of the thesis, the decomposition method of library systems is used to analyse the current state of both libraries. Data for the analysis was collected by the author, partly during her employment in the Library of Geology at the Charles University in Prague, and partly during the internship at the CADIST Géosciences et Environnement Library in Paris. In the third part, the comparison based on the comparative librarianship method, of both geological libraries is created. Consequently, the possibilities of innovation of the Library of Geology at the Charles University in Prague inspired by the CADIST Géosciences et Environnement Library in Paris, and the possibilities of future cooperation among branch-related libraries are proposed. Finally, the benefits of the work are assessed.

This master thesis deals with acquisitions in academic libraries. It briefly outlines the characteristics of universities and describes the acquisition process and other related issues. Content analysis of foreign literature maps acquisitions in academic libraries abroad. Literature review is combined with a case study in the European University Institute. The research of the current acquisition practice in Czech academic libraries was done using the Delphi method. The conclusion of this thesis is dedicated to the summary and comparison of the information gained from the literature review, the case study and the research. Key problems and trends in academic acquisitions are formulated.

The dissertation focuses on digitization in libraries of Charles University. In connection with accessible sources, online questionnaire survey and half-structured interviews done with representatives of eight faculty libraries, the digitization activity under Charles University is presented. Transformations of the library collections into digital forms are in motion in many libraries, therefore the amount of digital material is growing and it is not co-ordinated. The great amount of digital objects is followed by a matter of depositing data and making them accessible, which is currently very topical at Charles University. The aim of the dissertation is to analyse digital libraries and repositories produced and runned at this university. First part of the thesis explains - besides set aims and metodology - terminological basis of the dissertation, especially connection between digital library and digital repository. The digital activities are analysed also from the point of staffing of performed functions, hardware and software equipment at digitalization departments of libraries, technical specification of digitized documents, metadata and also method of depositing data and making them accessible. (in English) The master thesis describes formation and activities of the Geographical Library of the Faculty of Science of the Charles University in Prague (http//www.natur.cuni.cz/geografie/knihovna/). The thesis deals with the formation of the library in the 1880s and outlines its development to the present. The focus of this work is to describe the current situation and outline the anticipated direction of the library's development in the coming years. Emphasis is placed on the growing importance of the Geographical Library as one of the most distinctive information institutes of the Faculty of Science, as well as the gradual introduction and use of new technologies and finally on cooperation with other information and academic institutions. In addition, all the program units (that are in use in the library) of the automated library system Aleph 500 are described. The author also focuses on the description of services, divided into basic and complementary, which the Geographical Library provides for professionals and general public. (in English): This study focuses on the faculty libraries of the Charles University in Prague. More precisely, it deals with their collections of manuscripts, old and rare books. The introductory chapters are dedicated to theoretical basis of protection and preservation of historical documents. The main body of the thesis is created by an analysis of historical collections in particular libraries. This analysis is based on a questionnaire survey, on study of sources and on a research carried out during an actual visit to these libraries. Each chapter includes a brief history of the faculty library, the origin of the collection, and other important features such as the size of the collection, its thematic focus and especially the details of the way it is stored and available to readers. Another important focus of this study is to express the needs, the aims and experience of these faculty libraries. A more detailed study is dedicated to the library of The Protestant Theological Faculty. It includes a report about my research into the actual physical condition of the collection. The master thesis deals with the current state and prospects of electronic information resources in politicy of Faculty of Medicine (1st, 2nd and 3rd), Charles University, Prague. The first chapter briefly describes a development of all Faculties of Medicine. Furthermore the most important information about library information services are mentioned. The facts related to University Library and computer center who are the major college providers of services at the university, are discussed as well. This chapter also focus on common and distinct features of medical libraries. The libraries are characterized from this point of view: development, staff, equipment, acquisition policy, the fund structure, user profile and services. The thesis main part is devoted to comprehensive analysis and evaluation of acquisition, distribution and promotion of electronic information resources that libraries have available.
