Abstract:

Zusammenfassung Durch das Format Die Höhle der Löwen wird die Thematik der Finanzierung von Gründungsvorhaben und jungen Unternehmen einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht. Die Situation zwischen einem Preisrichter, welcher als Privatinvestor agiert, und einem Kandidaten ist durch eine asymmetrische Informationsverteilung charakterisiert. Hieraus resultiert das Problem versteckter Eigenschaften im Hinblick auf die unternehmerischen Fähigkeiten des Kandidaten. Der vorliegende Beitrag analysiert das Geschehen am Beispiel der Höhle der Löwen aus spieltheoretischer Sicht und leitet Implikationen ab, die für die Entscheidungssituation eines Eigenkapitalgebers von Bedeutung sein können. Abstract The tv show Die Höhle der Löwen makes the topic of start-up financing available to a wide public. The situation between a juror who acts as a business angel and a candidate is characterized by an information asymmetry. From that results the problem of hidden characteristic concerning the candidate’s entrepreneurial skills. This paper analyzes the situation on basis of the example Die Höhe der Löwen from a game theoretical perspective and derives implications that could be important for the decision situation of an equity-investor.
