Due to high complication rates with off label bare metal stents and covered metal stents development of purpose-based urological metallic stents was started. They are nowadays usually exploited when longer indwelling times are envisioned due to benign conditions, malignant obstruction or post-radiotherapy. Abstract:
Urethral dysfunction is a common complication of diabetes mellitus, spinal cord injury, vaginal childbirth, and pelvic trauma. Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is the involuntary loss of urine due to the inability of the urethral sphincter to maintain a tight seal during the storage phase and is a condition that physically and emotionally affects 25 million American women annually [1]. There are currently several treatments for SUI including surgery, Kegel exercises, and electrical stimulation, each accompanied by limited effectiveness and/or complications [2–3]. We believe that regenerative

Abstract:
Active steering at the distal tip can reduce stress on the flexible ureteroscope (FU) shaft by eliminating the internal angulation wires while also minimizing tissue trauma. A multi-segmented SMA wire actuator has been designed to produce smooth graded motion of the ultrathin scanning fiber endoscope (SFE). A steerable SFE distal tip (1-axis) is demonstrated using a three-step graded bending motion with a multi-tapped shape memory alloy (SMA) wire, power transistor switches, and binary parallel communication. The experimental bending radius and angle of the fabricated active tip (2-mm OD) is m

Abstract:
Review question / Objective: The aims of this study are: 1. To compare urinary complications of robot-assisted radical prostatectomy(RARP) and laparoscopic radical prostatectomy(LRP) in patients with prostate cancer; 2. To compare sexual complications of RARP and LRP in patients with prostate cancer. Condition being studied: Prostate cancer is one of the most prevalent types of cancer; according to 2018 statistics, prostate cancer was responsible for 7.1% of all cancer in men. The primary intervention in such patients is radical prostatectomy surgery (RP), which could be performed in different
