Abstract:
La integridad de los investigadores, es un problema desde tiempos inmemoriables; siempre existió la mala conducta en la investigación, como fraude, falsificación y plagio. Hoy es más notoria, porque la sociedad del conocimiento gracias a la tecnología, ha permitido el desarrollo de instrumentos para verificar la originalidad en la investigación. Esta investigación se propuso analizar algunos instrumentos que se pueden aplicar en la evaluación de las tesis de maestrías y doctorados de la Escuela de Posgrado de la Universidad Andina Néstor Cáceres Velásquez. Aplicando el enfoque cualitativo; utilizando instrumentos físicos como “códigos de honor” donde se establece sanciones por malas conductas y los instrumentos digitales como “software” que permiten verificar la originalidad de los estudios. Se observó que la aplicación de estas herramientas ha servido para disminuir las malas prácticas científicas. De acuerdo a varios estudios y pruebas realizadas a los sistemas, de la gran variedad de software, los que tienen mejores calificaciones son: Urkund con una eficacia del 73% estando en el rango de adecuado, mientras que Turnitin un 67% estando en el rango de pobre, esto obedece a la cantidad de archivos para comparar un trabajo, mientras más bases de datos, mejor será la aplicación.

Abstract:
The study was conducted to ascertain the role played by librarians and information scientists in controlling plagiarism in NIRF ranked engineering institutions ranked in 2020. With the application of knowledge of various types of resources and technological tools, librarians and information scientists play vital roles in making the awareness and fighting the disease of plagiarism. The students, research scholars and more importantly the faculty should be aware of plagiarism and its detrimental effects on their practices on their study & research and future career as well. The major objective of this study was to recognise the role played by librarians and information scientists in curbing plagiarism. Keeping this in view, a few research questions were framed. The study surveyed 200 NIRF ranked engineering institutions ranked in 2020 where engineering programs are being conducted. The researchers of this study found that majority of the librarians and information scientists (81.82 %) think that awareness about plagiarism is quite important while 89.92 per cent of them also ascertained that their institutions have plagiarism policy, and most of the institutions are using Turnitin and/or Urkund Anti-Plagiarism detection tool as well. The Librarians and Information Scientists make their users aware about plagiarism by promulgating the information through various activities through the library portals/websites as well as social media services. It was found that total 68.18 per cent respondents believe that ‘Orientation Programs and training’ is quite significant methods to make them aware about regulations against plagiarism and can discourage such intellectual theft and infringement. The study also reveals that the librarians should frequently conduct meetings with Head of Department, Faculty members and educators to discuss the issue and also deliver lectures to the faculty members, researchers as well as students.

In den Colmarer Archives départementales du Haut Rhin lagert die Abschrift einer 1463 ausgestellten Urkunde, der zu entnehmen ist, dass die Breisacher Patrizierfamilie von Pforr in einen Rechtsstreit um ein Colmarer Anwesen involviert war. Der Verlauf und Ausgang der Auseinandersetzung legen die Vermutung nahe, dass der in späteren Jahren im Umfeld der Erzherzogin Mechthild von Rottenburg und ihres Sohnes Graf Eberhard V. im Bart als Verfasser des Buches der Beispiele literarisch tätige Antonius von Pforr an der Regelung der Angelegenheit maßgeblichen Anteil hatte und einmal mehr als rechtskundige Person in Erscheinung trat.

Abstract:
I stort behandlar uppsatsen plagiat på gymnasiet. Tidigare forskning visar att plagiat ökat och att internet gjort det enklare för elever att fuska och plagiera. Även nya studenter tycks sakna tillräcklig kunskap om referat- och citatteknik. Syftet är att är att få en inblick i hur lärare reflekterar kring och arbetar med plagiat på ett studieförberedande program på gymnasiet samt se om det råder några skiljaktigheter mellan lärarna. Jag har gjort en kvalitativ metod och använt mig av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Materialet består av fyra gymnasielärares svar i form av sammanfattande reflektioner och citat från samtliga respondenter.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to better understand how the universities in Sweden work to prevent plagiarism, how they use plagiarism detection tools and what knowledge the students have or wish to have about plagiarism. This was studied through interviews with teachers and administration staff from one smaller university in Sweden together with a questionnaire for students attending any university in Sweden. The study shows that the information about plagiarism can be clearer from teachers according to the students, to prevent plagiarism as far as possible. It also shows that the university is already working to improve the information so that the students in a better way can understand, but it is hard to know how to give the information and what information that the students need. The examined university are using the system Urkund as a plagiarism detection tool and the study shows that teachers in general are satisfied with the system and how they use it. However, some teachers see an opportunity to use the detection tool in their teaching practises but need more knowledge of the system to do so efficiently. The students reportedly know what plagiarism means according to the study, but they do not have a deeper knowledge about it which they want from their universities, especially how the school is handling plagiarism cases and how the plagiarism detection tool works. The study concludes with recommendations for the universities to improve their work against plagiarism.
Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på hur ett lärosäte i dagsläget arbetar för att motverka plagiat, hur man använder plagiatkontrollsystem och vad studenterna har för kunskap eller vilken information de känner att de saknar gällande plagiering. Detta undersöktes genom att intervjua lärare och förvaltningsanställda på en mindre högskola i Sverige och även genom en enkätundersökning som gick ut till studenter vid högre utbildning i hela Sverige. Studien visade att många studenter upplever att informationen från lärare och lärosätet kan bli tydligare för att i största möjliga mån undvika plagieringsfall. Den visar på att lärosätet redan jobbar för att förbättra informationen för studenterna men att det är svårt att veta vad som fungerar optimalt. Studien visar också på hur systemet Urkund används och i vilken grad. De allra flesta lärarna tycker att det är ett bra och användbartsystem och det känner sig bekväma med användandet, många kan också se en möjlighet till att använda systemet på ett mer pedagogiskt vis men behöver mer kunskap i hur det skulle kunna fungera. Studenterna anser sig veta vad plagiat innebär men en stor del tycker sig sakna mer djupgående information från sitt lärosäte för att få en bättre förståelse i främst förfarande vid upptäckt av plagiat och hur plagiatkontrollsystem fungerar. Slutligen ges rekommendationer till lärosäten för att kunna utveckla sitt arbete med att motverka plagiering och förbättra kommunikationen mellan lärare och studenter för att minimera plagiatfall.

Abstract:
Universities are increasingly requiring the use of text-matching software (e.g., Turnitin, Urkund) for assessment. Even so, teaching staff may be resistant to using new technology for a variety of reasons. This study aimed to determine specific strategies and recommendations for improving uptake and correct usage of text-matching software at universities by gathering the experiences of training staff who have combatted resistance to new technologies. Two focus groups with 22 participants across five universities used a modified version of the Delphi method to come to consensus on their top five recommended strategies, which included: offering “out of the box” materials, using evidence, fostering champions, providing training and support to teaching staff, ensuring consistent messaging, building relationships, and offering student-facing support. These strategies may help university trainers improve the adoption of text-matching software, though more research is needed to determine the relative effectiveness of different strategies.
