This study proposes a model for predicting the expected drawn amount of credit facilities. To model the committed credit facilities we rely on the conditional expected utilization rate derived from a joint truncated bivariate probability distribution. The expected monthly liquidity conversion factors for corporate credit lines are compared to actuals and the bivariate normal distribution is concluded to be appropriate for a practical estimate of the future utilization rate.

By analyzing the distribution of the population at different ages, the expected healthy life expectancy per capita in different age groups, multiplied by the population, and then multiplied by the qualifications or level of education of the workforce, we can calculate the total human resources of the country. The effect of direct training with feedback on a base-rate problem of the engineers-lawyers type is assessed. Analysis indicates that feedback leads to adjusted probability estimates closer to the Bayesian norm than those in the no-feedback training-only condition. For a second base-rate problem (the so called “divorce problem”), however, no effect of training was shown, even though thinking-aloud protocols for this problem showed that subjects mentioned base-rates more often in the feedback than in the no-treatment condition.

This results in the accumulation of dead biomass and other organic debris which reduces the accuracy of volatile suspended solids as a measure of active biomass. The active biomass per

Vitrification is a cryopreservation method that employs high concentrations of cryoprotective agents (CPA) to preserve organ viability indefinitely. Achieving vitrification typically requires CPA concentrations of 8–9M to effectively permeate tissues or organs; however, these levels are associated with significant toxicity. The CPA toxicity rate (k) quantifies the rate at which CPAs induce cytotoxic effects, influenced by CPA formulation, concentration and temperature. CPAs such as VM3 (8.46M), M22-PVP (9.34M) and M22 (9.35M) are currently under investigation for large organ cryopreservation.

INTRODUCTION: Palliative care continues to gain recognition among primary care providers, as patients suffering from chronic conditions may benefit from use of this growing service. OBJECTIVES: This single-institution quality improvement study investigates the clinical characteristics and socioeconomic status (SES) of palliative care patients and identifies predictors of palliative care utilization. METHODS: Retrospective chart review was used to compare clinical and SES parameters for three groups of patients: (1) palliative care patients who attended at least one visit since the inception of

A comparative study of the performance of laying hens housed in cages and floor pens was conducted under filed condition at C.U. Veterinary Research Center. A total of 480 birds were divided iinto 2 groups, each group consisting of 4 replicates, 60 birds each. The results were recorded throught 52 weeks of egg production. There were no significant (P > 0.05) differences for the rate of egg production, efficiency if feed utilization, body weight gain and mortality rate. But the egg weight was significantly (p < 0.05) greater in group of birds housed in cages than those housed in floor pen

The COVID-19 pandemic led to declines in in-person consultations and substantial increases in telemedicine use in many countries. This paper investigates whether this pattern occurred in Colombia using data for people with particular health conditions prior to the pandemic (rheumatoid arthritis, hemophilia, chronic kidney disease, HIV, and cancer). The study shows that healthcare utilization by people in Colombia with these conditions dropped significantly during the first months of the pandemic relative to the average of the previous two years. However, by the end of 2020, the rate of healthc

The objective of this one-year project was to show whether a significant correlation can be established between the decreasing infiltration rate of the soil, during simulated rainstorm, and a following increase in the reflectance of the crusting soil. The project was supposed to be conducted under laboratory conditions, using at least three types of soils from each country. The general goal of this work was to develop a method for measuring the soil infiltration rate in-situ, solely from the reflectance readings, using a spectrometer. Loss of rain and irrigation water from cultivated fields is
