The study explored the insect communities and their seasonality within tea plantations micro-climate and finds the relatedness of these insects with the environment variables of the terroir. Abstract:

New material of water mites (Acari: Hydrachnidia) from the Uttarakhand State of India is reported. Ten species are identified, among which Sperchon (Hispidosperchon) rostratus Lundblad, 1969 is reported for the first time for India and two species, i.e. Monatractides smiti (Torrenticolidae) and Atractides uttarakhandensis (Hygrobatidae) are described as new to science. Extensive Ichthyofaunal survey of various water resources of Uttarkhand was carried out for the period of more than 15 years (2004-2019).
