Abstract:
Artiklis analüüsitakse, kuidas Brasiilias São Paulos loodi haridusjuhtidele mõeldud kujundava sekkumisprojekti käigus uus hariduskorralduse kontseptsioon. Võgotskile ja Leontievile tuginedes esitasime küsimuse, milline on osalejate isikliku arusaama ja hariduskorralduse sotsiaalse tähenduse vastastikmõju ühise kontseptsiooni kujundamisel. Ühise kontseptsiooni loomise käigus tekkinud arutelusid analüüsiti kolmes järgus: alguses väljapakutud viimistlemata kontseptsiooni (ingl raw object) selgitamine, viimistlemata kontseptsiooni edasiarendamisel tekkinud vastuolude käsitlemine ja uue kontseptsiooni stabiliseerimine. Viimistlemata kontseptsioon väljendas hariduskorralduse harjumuspärast eesmärki aidata kaasa õpetamis- ja õppimistingimuste parandamisele. Vastuolud tekkisid peamiselt arusaamades selle kohta, kas hariduskorraldus on vajalik õpetamiseks ja õppimiseks või õpetamise ja õppimise kaudu kogukonna muutmiseks. Stabiliseerumine saavutati hääletamise tulemusena ning uue hariduskorralduse eesmärk määratleti näiliselt samamoodi nagu viimistlemata kontseptsiooni puhul. Stabiliseerumisperiood jäi siiski ajutiseks ja sellega seoses tuli püüda ületada kahe alternatiivse definitsiooni vastasseisu. Seega jäid nii hariduskorralduse tähendus kui ka kontseptsioon avatuks edasistele muudatustele. Siinses artiklis kirjeldame, kuidas kaasati haridusjuhte ühisesse jõupingutusse hariduskorralduse kontseptsiooni väljatöötamisel. Artiklis tutvustame ja testime uut teoreetilist raamistikku, mille abil saab uurida ühise kontseptsiooni kujundamisega kaasnevaid muutusi hariduskorralduses.

Abstract:
Küberkiusamine tähendab kiusamist ja ahistamist uue elektroonilise tehnoloogia, eelkõige mobiiltelefonide ja interneti kaudu. Tavapärast koolikiusamist on varem põhjalikult uuritud ja selle vastu meetmeid võetud, kuid küberkiusamise puhul on tegemist nähtusega, mis on esile tõusnud ja üha enam levima hakanud viimasel aastakümnel. Selle valdkonna uurimine on arenenud väga kiiresti. Artiklis esitatakse kokkuvõte Euroopa teaduse ja tehnika alase koostöö raames küberkiusamist käsitlenud ja oktoobris 2012 lõppenud meetmest COST Action IS0801 ning tutvustatakse selle tulemusi ja refereeritakse kõnealusel projektil põhinevat raamatut.

Abstract:
This paper discusses the need for a modern Estonian reference grammar for learners and lays the basic groundwork for creating one. The current abundance of materials for teaching Estonian as a foreign language and recent advancements in both areal-typological linguistics and in the study of acquisition of Estonian contribute to conceptualizing a new type of grammar, and further improving the teaching and learning of Estonian. Modern language instruction orients to proficiency as the ability to use language in real life. We contend that this goal, combined with the availability of language technology and increased mobility of people increases the demands on effective teaching of language structure. Research has shown that the main difficulties for learners of Estonian concern morphology and morphosyntax. We suggest that including an areal-typological perspective on categories and concepts in describing and explaining the structure of Estonian may help learners in these areas.Kokkuvõte. Anne Tamm, Piibi-Kai Kivik: Grammatika eesti keele õppijale: võõrkeeleõpe ja tüpoloogia. Artikkel osutab ühisosale areaal-tüpoloogilise keeleteaduse ja teise keele omandamise uurimise vahel. Eesti keele morfosüntaks ja süntaks, sh evidentsiaalsuse, aspekti ja eituse väljendamine pakub huvi mõlema ala uurijatele. Keeleõppija jaoks pole siin tegu mitte ainult uue vormi, vaid ka uue grammatilise kategooria või moodustussüsteemiga (nt eitus), kus erinevuste teadvustamine, sh metalingvistiline teadlikkus võib aidata vältida vigu ja kiirendada keeleomandamise protsessi. Artikkel väidab, et kaasaegne kommunikatiivne, suhtluspädevusele suunatud keeleõpe ei väldi grammatika õpetamist, vaid teeb seda läbimõeldult ja kontekstis. Et keeletundides kasutataks võimalikult palju aega suhtlemise harjutamiseks, on vaja käepäraseid ja ammendavaid materjale iseseisvaks tööks, sh grammatikaseletusi ja pedagoogilist grammatikat. Abstract:
Artikkel käsitleb Uue Testamendi eesti keelde tõlkimise probleeme. Paralleelkirjakohtades Mt 10,38 ja Lk 14,27 on Jeesuse ütlus, mis koosneb kolmest osalausest. Neist esimene ja viimane on eitavad, kuid eestikeelses tõlkes on eitatud ka teist osalauset. Selline lisaeitus leidub juba 1686. aastal ilmunud „Wastses Testamendis”. Uue Testamendi esimesed eestikeelsed tõlked on teinud saksa soost pastorid, kellel oli raskusi eituste edasiandmisel saksa keele omast erineva lausestruktuuriga eesti keeles. Kasutades aastatest 1680–1705 pärinevate tõlkekäsikirjade trükis avaldatud tekste, on artiklis vaatluse alla võetud valik eitusi sisaldavaid Luuka evangeeliumi salme. Siinne uurimus lubab oletada, et Mt 10,38 ja Lk 14,27 tekstides oleva lisaeituse puhul on tegemist tõlkeeksitusega, mis on hilisemate redigeerimiste ja osalt uuesti tõlkimiste käigus jäänud märkamata.For centuries remained questionable translation of Matthew 10:38 and Luke 14:27. Current article deals with the problems in translating New Testament into Estonian language. In parallel passages Matthew 10:38 and Luke 14:27 there is a saying of Jesus that consists of two conditions and one statement. First condition is negation, second condition is affirmation and conclusion is once again negation. In Estonian translation both conditions are negations. This extra negation is found already in “Wastne Testament” that was published in year 1686. The first translations of New Testament were created by German origin pastors who had trouble with different rules of negation in Estonian language. Print published manuscripts of Gospel of Luke’s translations from 1680–1705 were used for composing this article. This article suggests that additional negation in translation of Matthew 10:38 and Luke 14:27 is translation mistake that remained unnoticed during later revisions and partial retranslation.

Abstract:
In this article I shall review the field of studies: “Uralic vs Indo-European contacts”. I shall report the thesis of what can be called the “old” and the “new” school, respectively, dealing with this topic. According to the old school, the contacts took place, essentially, among the historical languages, whereby the criteria for identifying loanwords are often unclear. According to the new school, instead, the (intensive) Uralic vs Indo-European contacts took place, essentially, at the level of protolanguages, and the loanwords are easily identifiable, thanks to the regularity of the relevant sound changes and substitutions. I shall claim that the thesis of new school is unlikely to be correct, on methodological and factual grounds: borrowing among proto-languages is impossible a priori; sound changes and substitutions are not always regular and systematic; the “binary” analysis “borrowing vs inherited” is out-of-date; the Uralic and Indo-European languages belong to different, distant “areal contexts”.Kokkuvõte. Angela Marcantonio: Uurali ja indoeuroopa keelte kontaktid: laenamine, kohalik kujunemine, juhuslik sarnasus. Artiklis annan ülevaate uurimisteemast “Uurali ja indoeuroopa keelte kontaktid”. Käsitlen küsimust, mida võib selle teemaga seoses nimetada “uueks” ja “vanaks” koolkonnaks. Vana koolkonna järgi toimusid kontaktid ajalooliste keelte vahel, kusjuures laensõnade kindlakstegemise kriteeriumid on sageli ebaselged. Uue koolkonna järgi aga toimusid (intensiivsed) uurali ja indoeuroopa kontaktid algkeelte tasandil ja laensõnu on lihtne kindlaks teha tänu oluliste häälikumuutuste ja häälikuasenduste reeglipärasusele. Väidan, et uue koolkonna tees ei näi metodoloogiliselt ja faktiliselt aluselt korrektne: algkeelte vaheline laenamine on a priori võimatu, häälikumuutused ja -asendused ei ole alati reeglipärased ja süsteemsed, “binaarne” jaotus “laenatud või genuiinne” on aegunud, uurali ja indoeuroopa keeled kuuluvad erinevasse, teineteisest kaugesse “areaalsesse konteksti”.Märksõnad: uurali keeled, indoeuroopa keeled, konvergents, divergents, juhuslik sarnasus, sugulassõnad, laensõnad, keeleareaalid

Abstract:
Au cours de ce travail de thèse, nous avons réalisé une étude génétique et structurale de la protéine Uup chez Escherichia coli. Cette protéine cytosolique, qui appartient à la superfamille des ATPases ABC (« ATP-binding cassette »), est impliquée dans la recombinaison illégitime chez les bactéries, à savoir l’excision précise de transposons. La délétion du gène uup provoque un fort accroissement de la fréquence de cet évènement (pour les Tn10 et Tn5). Une telle augmentation est également observée chez des mutants conditionnels intervenant dans la réplication de l’ADN. Tout d’abord, Uup est constituée de deux domaines ATPasiques conservés et séparés par une région Linker de 75 résidus, ainsi que d’un domaine carboxyl-terminal de 90 résidus. Étant donné qu’Uup se fixe sur l’ADN, d’une part les paramètres de cette interaction ont été déterminés ; d’autre part, le CTD et le Linker se sont révélés constituer deux domaines qui participent directement à la fixation d’Uup sur l’ADN. Notamment, le CTD a été caractérisé sur les plans biochimique et structural. Puis, afin d’évaluer le rôle d’Uup dans la réplication de l’ADN, sa capacité de fixation sur des structures mimant des intermédiaires de réplication a été testée. Enfin, le double mutant priA et uup a été construit et s’est avéré non viable. Ceci suggère que la fonction de PriA, protéine impliquée chez les bactéries dans le redémarrage des fourches de réplication bloquées, est essentielle dans un contexte dépourvu d’Uup

Abstract:
The use of mobile phones has great potential in the Arab region. Nevertheless, recent reports on the performance of mobile companies in this region revealed a decrease in revenues since 2013. The main aim of this research was to propose a conceptual model explaining the factors that can predict Behavioural Intention and Actual Use of mobile phones (smartphones) by young Arab customers in Arab countries, namely Iraq, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In addition, an analysis of the issues surrounding mobile phone adoption and use in these countries is provided. The analysis of the literature showed that the extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) can provide a good overview of the factors that can affect mobile phone adoption and use. The analysis showed that there is a gap in the literature in terms of testing this theory in cross-national research in an Arabian context. Accordingly, the research proposed a new conceptual model based on an extension of this theory. The methodology was based on positivism and the ontological stance was objectivism based on the deductive approach to test the conceptual framework. A total of 1599 questionnaires were distributed in the three countries to users aged 18-29 years old using multistage cluster sampling. Data were analysed using Partial Least Squares. The findings indicated that the proposed extended model fits well in the three countries. The factors Perceived Relative Advantage, Effort Expectancy, National IT Development, Habit, Price Value, Culture-Specific Beliefs and Values and Behavioural Intention were significant in all three countries. Technological Culturation was significant in Iraq only. Enjoyment was significant in Jordan and UAE only. Several challenges facing the efficient use of mobile phones were also identified. This research contributes to the existing literature by proposing a conceptual model for mobile phone adoption and use by extending the UTAUT2 in an Arabian context. It also provides information to policymakers and mobile companies in Iraq, Jordan and UAE to help them understand the needs of their customers.
