Full textThis research focused on analyzing the participation of brokers and their influence on indirect exports of fresh grapes from SMEs in the Ica Region in the period 2014 - 2018, the research was a correlational deductive quantitative approach and due to the characteristics of This study also used a qualitative research approach. For the quantitative approach, 33 SMEs were studied using descriptive statistics, using the SPSS IBM statistical software; For the qualitative approach, a non-probability sampling was used for convenience, applying a semi-structured interview, using the Atlasti 8 program. The results showed that the brokers have had an influence on grape exports, understanding that thanks to them they obtain large benefits, since they promote free trade between countries which causes a positive sum of economic gains.

Full textAt the beginning of the 90s, Peru adopted a neoliberal economic model and entered a stage of commercial opening, achieving a large increase of its exports. In the last 20 years, our country has signed more than 20 free trade agreements with various economies, including the United States, the European Union and China, the latter being the main destination for our exports. Considering only the non-traditional sector, the statistics indicate that Peruvian exports show a positive trend, having doubled in 2016 the value exported in 2006. The sector that showed the highest growth was the agricultural sector, which has maintained a positive growth trend since 2000 and has already doubled in 2016 the export value of 2010. Of the 10 main markets that receive our exports in this sector , curiously China, the main destination of our total exports, is the one that shows a greater decrease (35%) from 2014 to 2016. The exported value of this sector is facing this fall because its most representative product, fresh grapes (tariff number 080610) has been showing the same pattern since 2014, despite having reached a tariff of 0% in 2015 after a tariff reduction initiated in 2010 thanks to the FTA with China. In the present investigation we will approach the dynamism that has been facing the exports of fresh grapes to China from 2009 to 2016, which, when decreasing its value and quantity exported after reaching a tariff of 0%, contradicts the theory of trade liberalization. For this purpose, different unanticipated external forces that could have caused this phenomenon will be analyzed.

Full textThe purpose of the following research is to discover the main factors that determine the peruvian exports of fresh grapes between the years 2002 - 2017. Specifically, if the national production, the FOB price of the peruvian exports and the US GDP were determining factors for the increase in the peruvian export of fresh grapes between the years 2002 - 2017. The methodology used was a quantitative study with a correlational analysis, because we are trying to determine the statistical significance of the variables and to know if there is a relationship between them. All of this with the intention of giving clear and real information about the determining factors that influence this sector to the exporters and everyone that is directly or indirectly related to this sector or similar ones.

Full textTable grapes international situation, particularly Red Globe table grapes, has been changing the past three years. Few years ago, peruvian Red Globe FOB prices per box from January to March (seasons: 07/08, 08/09, 09/10) were beetween 18 to 22 dollars. This last year, according to final statements of important companies in the table grapes market, the average Red Globe FOB prices from January to March (seasons: 13/14, 14/15, 15/16) were around 12 and 13 dollars. The international trend indicates that Seedless varieties are, and will continue to be, the most profitable and that the prices for Red Globe grapes will not improve at any short time. Due to this low price factor many producers and exporters have taken drastic measures to stop losing money. Red Globe table grapes national market grew as the export market developed on different regions of Peru. At present time, the national market is an alternative to consider due to the constant growth that has been taking place year after year. Unfortunately, this has not been enough to attract the attention of producers and agro-exporters who are still betting on the export market. Because of the potential that the national market has and the uncertainty situation of Red Globe grapes, we decided to analyze the feasibility of producing and selling this variety at a national scale. One of the main characteristics of the national market is that product volumes are usually the export discard. In relation to the fields of Red Globe grapes, they are already implemented, highly productive and, because they will be destined to the national market from day one, it does not require any expensive labor or supplies to obtain volumes. Considering market characteristics and the aspects mentioned above, the present work will evaluate the feasibility of the production and commercialization of quality Red Globe grapes in Lima Metropolitana. With this, we want to identify which variables have influenced directly and indirectly in the way Red Globe grapes are sold in the national market and in the perception of its main actors: producers / exporters, wholesale market, supermarkets and final consumer. Strategies will be proposed to ensure that each actor contributes to the proper development of the grape marketing chain.
