Twenty to thirty percent of women in the reproductive age group are affected with leiomyomas, the most frequent benign tumor of the uterus. Only 300 occurrences of vaginal leiomyomas have been documented, hence they are still a rare condition. Because of their low incidence and wide range of nonspecific clinical symptoms, tumors are assumed to originate from Mullerian smooth muscle cells in the sub-epithelium of the vagina. However, these cells can easily be misdiagnosed. Usually located in the anterior vaginal wall are vaginal leiomyomas. Here, we describe a case of left upper lateral vaginal

Background and Clinical Significance: Brenner tumors are rare epithelial tumors that can occur in both males and females. They consist of ovarian transition cells surrounded by dense fibrous tissue and can be classified as benign, borderline, or malignant. While most commonly found in the ovary, extraovarian Brenner tumors (EOBTs) have been reported in the uterus, vagina, broad ligament, and omentum. Case Presentation: A 71-year-old postmenopausal woman presented with a polypous formation on the upper third of the posterior vaginal wall, which was found at a routine health check. Macroscopical

Fibroids are benign neoplasms that are primarily found in the uterus. Fibroids can rarely be found in the vagina—most commonly arising from the anterior wall. Generally, the vagina is an unusual location for tumors. In this article, we present the case of a 30-year-old multigravid Syrian woman presenting to the emergency department with painful swelling of the left labia, mistakenly diagnosed as a Bartholin abscess. A surgical excision was recommended for the solid mass and the mass was sent for histopathological examination which confirmed the diagnosis of a vaginal leiomyoma.

Urethral leiomyomas are rare, with approximately only 120 cases reported in the literature. These tumors often occur in the third and fourth decades of life but are rare in menopausal patients. In general, treatment involves surgery, only three recurrence reports in the literature. Introduction. Methods of irradiation of cervical cancer and other localizations in gynecology are constantly being improved. This is especially true for brachytherapy. Methods. New applicators are being created, new types of normalization are being introduced, irradiation zones are identified, to which it is recommended to apply different doses of irradiation, recommendations for irradiation of critical organs are changing, and priorities are being set in the irradiation process. Results. If more modern applicators are unavailable, additional introduction of needles freehand solves the problem

Leiomyomas of the uterus are the most common pelvic tumors, occurring in nearly 70% of 45-year-old women. This case report presents a multiparous woman who presented with an intracervical myoma that remained undiagnosed prenatally and during pregnancy (with no antenatal checkups). The vaginal delivery was uneventful. The patient presented on day 15 of post-partum with a large sub mucosa fibroid which prolapsed out of the introitus. A myomectomy was performed by twisting and rotation via the vagina, without complications.

Uterine inversion is characterized by the invagination of the fundus of the uterus through the vagina. It’s a rare postpartum complication leading to massive bleeding and it’s extremely rare in non-puerperal cases. It is most frequently associated with benign tumors such as submucosal leiomyomas however, malignant tumors can also be associated.
