The early Christian world was diverse. Various groups of Christians held opposite views on crucial theological and social elements while claiming to be the true followers of Jesus Christ. In this diversity, two streams of Christianity were particularly popular: proto-orthodox Christians and Valentinian Gnostics. These groups were included in the sharp polemical discussions and battles, as they tried to gain a monopoly in the early Christian world. This article investigates the Valentinian ritual, called “bridal chamber”, in the only surviving Valentinian funeral epitaphs, Flavia Sophe and NCE 156. These inscriptions stand out from the context of other Valentinian sources because they are extant in the Ancient Greek, not the Coptic language. Bridal chamber is a polysemous concept in the Nag Hammadi texts, and therefore begs the question, what does it mean in the Valentinian funeral epitaphs? Furthermore, this article is an attempt to elucidate the connections between the two inscriptions by interpreting the concept of bridal chamber.

At the beginning of Irenaeus of Lyons’ Adversus Haereses, the doctrine of the Valentinian Ptolemy is presented using terms from the semantic field of time and eternity, which were undergoing a semantic evolution in contemporary Middle Platonic philosophy. Abstract:
This study analyzes how Moldovan painters of the 1970s represented the peasant interior as a symbol of national identity. By studying the works of some artists such as Mihai Grecu, Glebus Sainciuc, Valentina Rusu Ciobanu, Eleonora Romanescu etc. the research explores how traditional elements were integrated into painting in a period marked by rapid social transformations. The analysis focuses on recurring motifs, such as household objects and rustic decor, and how these contributed to an atmosphere of rural authenticity.
