Full textClimatic conditions give to Oued Righ area a vocation of the Saharian agriculture dominated by palm-cultures. This vocation is explained by the existence of exceptional hydrological conditions. In fact, Oued Righ Valley is part of the Algerian Bas-Sahara which contains important subterraneous sheets of water, particularly the continental intercalation. However, if the use of these sheets has permitted the development and the expansion of cultures, their immoderate exploitation has considerably disturbed the balance of sheets (decline of the hydrostatic levels). Today, in order to safeguard oases and sheets, some requirements are indispensable. Important investments are necessary on thone hand, to achieve a modern and rational irrigation and a diversification of cultivations (by the regeneration of existing palm-groves, and the development of new areas) ; on the other hand, to a limitation of harnessing works and a strict control over the exploitation of water. All these actions lies within an over all development program concerning the whole region

Full textIn the run of this study, we have tried to highlight the outline of the spatial evolution of the soil characters in some soils on an established sequence on a geomorphological map, in the Valley of Oued Righ, area located in the Northern Sahara East of Algeria. We have thanks to a long survey selected an area on the northern edge of chott Mason and or we could identify 04 géomorphological levels (from 1 to 4) from the basic level (depression level, the o-level).We have carried out for this study 09 profiles and conducted 30 sampling of soils which 22 have underwent diffractometric treatment to the x-ray.In each constant climate, each landscape creates its mineral accumulations in the bedrock which is, and on the geochemical map from elements of the degradation of minerals in height area reconstituted in downstream. In the Saharan landscape, diffractometric of soil samples and analytical results we are revealed a break of this schema due mainly to the very characteristic wind factor in these regions and to the proximity of the groundwater to the surface (level 1 and 2) also. Indeed the results obtained show that the spatial distribution of soil is relatively tied to position units geomorphological responsible for accumulation of basic deposit salt especially of gypsum .This charged basic ion water is on secondary as precursors of aggradations .and minerals possibly neoformation of attapulgite. For levels 3 and 4 minerals identified are almost from inheritance and side intake

Full textThis thesis is based in the M'Zab Valley located north of the Algerian Sahara - 600 km south of Algiers. Initially occupied by the Mozabites - Zenet Berbers religiously belonging to Ibadism - the region is best known for its historical ksour, of an exceptional architectural and landscape character, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982. The solidarity promoted and sanctioned by Mozabite-specific institutions has also contributed to the reputation of the M'Zab. This solidarity and centuries-old modes of self-organization have played a crucial role in the survival of the group as well as in the creation of the new ksour. The construction of these new ksour - designed as extensions of the old cities - was started in the 1990s. The idea was to find a solution to the housing crisis in both quantitative and qualitative terms. The particularity of these projects lies in the role played by traditional Mozabite social institutions, in particular social solidarity, of which we have detailed the practices both in terms of project financing and in terms of the methods used to select beneficiaries and carry out the work, without forgetting, of course, the management of the new ksour after their occupation. Given that the expectations and demands of the beneficiaries of these structures were necessarily different from those that had presided over the construction of the old ksour - whether in terms of material comfort or way of life - we were led to question the permanence and the mutations that have affected the various forms of social solidarity that support the region's institutions, institutions that guarantee the reproduction of Mozabite society and, therefore, the success of the "new ksour".It is through the study of the six new ksour - essentially considered in a monographic way - that we attempt answering these questions. This work is based on both a technical survey conducted as an architect and, more importantly, on anthropological observations and interviews as part of field surveys conducted in 2014, 2015 and 2016

Full textThis work focuses on medieval history, architecture and heritage of the Mzab Valley, its semiotics and its cultural mediations. It is an attempt to analyze, understand and interpret the Mzab valley, aiming at its restitution and its cultural valorization. Considering, this through, the movement of religious and social reforms experienced by this Algerian minority. The purpose of this work is to understand how, through this historiographic reform, the Mozabite Berber-speaking and denominational minority found the answers to the changes triggered by its progressive integration with the Algerian nation, society and space

Full textThis thesis, which is at the intersection of history, geography and literature, proposes to grasp the emergence of places in writing. It aims at the representation of an area through diverse texts, which emerge essentially from History, testimony, tales of travellers as well as from fiction. These texts are gathered in the form of an anthology that can likely be exploited at the level of teaching, even if its goal is primarily literary. The main or guiding idea of this collection is the geographic place, its history and its different representations at the level of writing and of the imaginary. This thesis aims to the contribution of knowing about the textual expression of a given area, and its didactic orientation suggests new ways to teach literature in Algeria, or as a didactic tool in studying texts in classrooms of French as a foreign language

Full textDomestic and foreign investment, private and public, is undoubtedly one of the most important axis in the economic policies of developed and developing countries. The legal regime for foreign investment in Algeria has continued to be the focus of debate. Mainly economic, this is why the Algerian legislator has legislated on the subject, especially from the 1990s, on the occasion of the adoption of Law No. 90-10 of 14 April 1990 on currency and credit. The latter was indeed the beginning of a long process of transition and economic orientation towards the adoption of the market economy. Currently the legal regime of foreign investment in Algeria is governed mainly by the law 16-09 on the promotion of investment, accompanied by a set of implementing decrees. This recent reform of investment law is an important step forward for the management, reception and processing of foreign investment in Algeria, with regard to all the advantages that are granted to investors' profits, as well as the relaxation of foreign companies installation procedures on Algerian soil

Full textSemi-arid Mediterranean characterized by floods and sever low water and anthropogenic increasing, the North African wadis are exposed to important environment impacts. Traces metal elements contamination (ETM including rare earth elements) continues to increase and contributes to degrade aquatic environment. Traces metals elements concentrations and mobility, different processes (hydro)biogéochimiques as well as their transfer downstream, are thus affected. In this context, to evaluate the impact of these pressures, the Tafna was used as a model in this thesis to evaluate the water and sediments quality of the basin, to identify the sources and the behavior of the ETM in different hydrological conditions. ETM (Pb, Cd, Zn, Cu, Cr, Co, Ni, As), the REE (La-Yb) and the major elements, COP, COD, as well as the physicochemical parameters, were studied during several hydrological campaigns contrasting, for 10 stations and two dams, from upstream to downstream of the watershed. The results obtained show that the chemical composition of the water is influenced by lithology (presence of calcite and evaporitic minerals) which contributes to the water enrichment by Na, Mg, B, Cl, SO4, as well as by Ca and CO3 through dissolution process. The hydrological conditions and the different geochemical processes of adsorption/desorption, precipitation/dissolution, dilution influence the content and mobility of ETM in water and sediments, particularly in relation to the presence of carbonate and evaporitic formations. Enrichment and origins of sediment contamination were assessed using a combination of geochemical and isotopic indicators. High contamination in some ETM (Pb> Cd> Zn> Cu) and low enrichment for others (Al, Fe, Cr, Co, Ni) was demonstrated. Multiple local contamination sources were identified (industrial, agricultural and domestic wastes) and more diffuse pollution, notably from atmospheric deposition (gasoline, ores, aerosols). During floods, through the remobilization of particles accumulated, dams can be either secondary sources of contamination or dilution of contamination by particles from highly erosive upstream zones. Geomorphology plays a major role in slowing the transfer contamination to downstream (by sedimentation), but in high water condition there is remobilization and transfer of ETM to the Mediterranean. The elements with natural origin (Co, Ni, Cr, As) are correlated with Al, Fe and Mn, suggesting a control by oxides or clays, those of anthropogenic origin with phosphorus (Cd and Zn) or sulfur (Cu), mainly related to agricultural inputs. Cadmium and Pb are the most extractable metals upstream and downstream, but their availability is not strictly related to the degree of contamination. REE profiles in sediments are controlled by particle size and geochemical characteristics (including anomalies). Light rare earths elements were associated with clay minerals and heavy rare earths elements with coarse silt; the medium and heavy rare earths were the most extractable. Dams are wells for light rare earths from retained sediments and influence the traditional fractionation of REE erosion patterns from upstream to downstream. By highlighting the natural processes impact (hydrological, geochemical and erosion) and anthropogenic disruptions (discharges, dams) by the REE and various geochemical and isotopic tools combined, this innovative work for semi-arid carbonate systems could be used for other similar basins subjected to various pressures (erosion and anthropization). Repository recommendations and a set of geochemical and statistical data and tools are provided
