Abstract:
Transitional period development emerges significant changes in psychological aspects. These changes often lead to values and norms conflict. Juvenile delinquency is caused by unresolved conflicts in childhood during the transitional period. This study aims to: 1) determine the factors that trigger juvenile delinquency; 2) discover juvenile delinquency solution, 3) find out the inhibiting factors for tackling juvenile delinquency. This research uses literature analysis with the data from related literature as analytical material. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative and exploratory analysis. The results showed, 1) there are internal and external trigger factors for juvenile delinquency; 2) Efforts to overcome the occurrence of juvenile delinquency are through parenting and attention to adolescents, including psycho-education; 3) Inhibiting factors in efforts to overcome juvenile delinquency such as negative peer influence, uncontrolled use of social media, lack of parental attention, and permissive attitude. This research provides information about the juvenile delinquency cause and prevention.

Abstract:
The study examined core family values as correlate of juvenile involvement in internet fraud in Delta state, Nigeria. A comprehensive background of the study amongst others was examined that discussed the problem of the study. Several related literature was reviewed in line with the sub-themes of the study that examined the family values in Nigeria, Family Factors Influencing Juvenile Involvement in Crime, internet fraud and types of internet fraud and Causes of Internet Fraud among Juvenile. The research design adopted for the study was the correlational survey design. This was applied through the use of the questionnaire and in-depth interview; the research instrument used for data collection. The questionnaire was administered to sample of 591 respondents and 24 respondents for in-depth interview through the use of multi-stage sampling method that was employed to randomly select respondents. The descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation technique were used to analyze the data obtained from the study. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the descriptive data comprising the bio-data in frequencies and percentages while the hypotheses were tested using Pearson Product-Moment Correlation (PPMC). The study concluded that the lower the level of core family values, the higher the juvenile involvement in internet fraud and vice versa. This was the basis upon which contribution to knowledge and recommendations were put forward for further studies.

Abstract:
Juvenile polyps, typically localized in the rectum and sigmoid colon, are a common cause of pediatric bloody stool. An isolated small intestinal juvenile polyp is uncommon and generally difficult to diagnose. The first case of an isolated juvenile polyp diagnosed by abdominal ultrasonography before acute abdomen had developed and resected by double-balloon endoscopy is presented along with a review of previous reports including this case. A two-year-old Japanese boy was referred to our institute for further evaluation of anemia persisting from one year of age. Laboratory findings showed mild iron deficiency anemia and elevated fecal human hemoglobin (Hb) and fecal calprotectin values. Upper and lower endoscopic findings showed no abnormalities. Because the abdominal ultrasonography performed one year later demonstrated a 15 mm jejunal polyp, combined with a similar finding on small intestinal capsule endoscopy, this was diagnosed as an isolated lesion. The lesion was resected by cautery with double-balloon endoscopy and diagnosed as a juvenile polyp pathologically. All clinical symptoms disappeared, and all laboratory data improved after treatment, without recurrence for more than one year after the procedure. Abdominal ultrasonographic screening and the fecal calprotectin value led to the diagnosis and non-surgical invasive treatment of an isolated small intestinal juvenile polyp.

Abstract:
Adolescence is a stage in development experienced by individuals that is different from previous periods. In this period individuals face puberty which is marked by the transition from childhood to adulthood. At this time, teenagers face doubt, uncertainty, emotional instability, so that their actions often deviate from values and norms, this deviation is influenced by many aspects both from within and from outside. The aim of this research is to identify, analyze, study and conclude the factors that trigger juvenile delinquency and efforts to overcome it. The method used in the research is library research with a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. Data collection was carried out using journal search techniques with the keywords "juvenile delinquency", "triggers or causes of juvenile delinquency", "efforts to overcome juvenile delinquency", from journals indexed by Sinta or Google Scholar, and Scopus which were published in the last six years, namely 2018-2023, Data validity testing is carried out by selecting journals based on inclusion and exclusion criteria which will be reviewed is currently analyzing the data by processing all collected articles identified based on inclusion and non-inclusion, place, index, content, then described and analyzed and concluded. The results of the research show that the triggering factors for juvenile delinquency consist of internal and external factors, internal factors namely from within oneself due to an identity crisis, weak control and self-control, and lack of discipline; while external factors include family environment, lack of attention and affection from parents, broken home, low knowledge and practice of religion, poor social environment, school environment, negative influence of peers, weak economy, uncontrolled use of social media information technology, low level of education, and carefree upbringing, while efforts are being made to control it with a strong understanding and practice of religion, democratic parenting, attention and affection and treatment of teenagers according to their age, giving good role models, giving trust and responsibility, training entrepreneurial entrepreneurs, and collaboration with youth organizations in providing sports activities and religious studies. This research provides information about the factors that cause juvenile delinquency and its prevention so that parents or schools can reduce or prevent juvenile delinquency.

Abstract:
In today's Alpha era, teenagers often forget their role as the next generation of the Indonesian nation. Adolescence is a transition period from child to adult. This time the cause of Indonesian juvenile delinquency greatly increased. One of the attitudes that adolescents should have is knowledge of the ethical values passed down by their ancestors. Social changes and value shifts have affected the development of adolescents, causing the old culture to be left behind due to the emergence of a new culture in the Alpha era. Bullying is everywhere, physical violence against society is carried out by teenagers, bullying, and so on. One of the consequences of social change that causes juvenile delinquency to increase is the shift, the fall of adolescents into deviant behavior that is not by normal values and rules of society. Conditions like this are likely to spread generation as Juvenile Delinquency degrades mental health. One of the factors of juvenile delinquency that causes mental health to decline when bullying is considered right by some adolescents, is weakened moral degradation and reduced family functions and the role of family, and society in fostering adolescents. When the function of these related parties is weakened, there will be disability of adolescents in acting. The purpose of this research is to examine Juvenile Delinquency or juvenile delinquency which causes a decrease in mental health. The method in this research is a literature study (study research), namely collecting various sources and information that can examine juvenile delinquency that causes a decrease in mental health.

Abstract:
The Indian subcontinent is home to many species of herpetological and conservation interest. The aim of this study was to provide a first assessment of hematological values in Travancore tortoises (Indotestudo travancorica) and redcrowned roofed turtles (Batagur kachuga), two endangered species on which medical literature is still lacking. In late spring, 19 blood specimens of healthy I. travancorica and 17 of B. kachuga were sampled. Both populations were housed at the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust – Centre for Herpetology (Tamil Nadu, India). From each animal, a blood sample was obtained from the dorsal coccygeal vein and stored in a lithium-heparin test tube. For both species, manual red and white blood cell counts (RBC and WBC) were performed using a Natt & Herrick stain in a Neubauer chamber. Only for I. travancorica, hematocrit values were assessed by centrifugation of capillary tubes, and used to calculate mean corpuscular volume; this investigation was not performed on B. kachuga due to equipment malfunction. Due to the small sample size, only descriptive statistics were applied, and the obtained values were compared with the known references of other chelonians. Only for B. kachuga, the composition of the sampled population made it possible to run cross sectional comparisons between adult and juvenile individuals, as well as between males and females. No difference was found between males and females, but a significant difference (P<0,05) was found for WBC counts between juvenile and adult animals.

Abstract:
A model simulating Dictyocaulus viviparus infection in calves is described. The present paper only deals with the parasitic phase of the life-cycle. Descriptions are given for establishment, development rate of juvenile stages, mortality rates of both juvenile and adult stages, and fecundity. Literature data were used to to develop parameter functions and to estimate initial values for constants. Development of acquired immunity, defined as the proportional ability of the host to reduce the number of parasite individuals in some stage or about to move into a next stage, against establishment (protection) or affecting mortality rates of juvenile or adult parasite stages has been included. The effect of immunity on one parameter or process is viewed as distinctly separate from the effect on another. Preliminary comparisons between model prediction and observations gives encouraging results, indicating that the model simulates experimental D. viviparus infection in calves reasonably well. Some quantitative discrepancies between prediction and observation make clear however, that not all parts of the model are accurate. Further experimentation is needed to re-evaluate current model description and to improve model simulation.

Abstract:
Humour helps us to understand and organise the world. It is an aspect in the formation of cultural identities which develops as soon as children can follow an oral narrative, and is further intensified as reading becomes a habit. Written humour displays expressive resources and semantic fields determined by the language, and contents and referents determined by social values; its code includes conventions with the reader regarding form and plot. Being a social strategy, humour evolves through time depending on the circumstances. This research focuses on literature for children and adolescents originally written in the Catalan language and published between 1904 and 2004.

The aim of this dissertation is to understand the influence of the ideology of the "Estado Novo" in the contents inserted in the children's supplement Pim-Pam-Pum. It also aims to relate, in a certain historical period, the children’s supplement of one of the most important newspapers of the time, "O Século", with the ideology of the "Estado Novo". In addition, it intends to identify the values ingrained in the numbers to be analysed in Pim-Pam-Pum in a period of two years. The period under analysis of the children's supplement Pim-Pam-Pum includes the numbers from 1953 to 1955. One of the main conclusions of this study is that the children's aforementioned supplement aimed to educate its audience in a joyful manner. On the other hand, it transmitted as well as inculcated with the families’ collaboration the main Salazarist values. The press becomes a weapon of ideological propaganda of the "Estado Novo" in an attempt to keep harmful information to the regime from the internal and external pressures. With the institucionalization of censorship after the Second World War, the careful surveillance of publications by the competent and relevant organisms in collaboration with the censorship made by the journalists themselves, was simplified. However, the press tried to accomplish its mission of cultural and playful diffusion by means of newspapers, magazines and children's supplements.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract.—Interannual variability in chum salmon <em>Oncorhynchus keta </em>mortality during early marine life is thought to have a major influence on recruitment. However, few estimates of daily mortality are available for chum salmon during this period, and average values reported in the literature are unrealistically high when used in a simple life-history model. We analyzed survival to adult of seven groups of chum salmon, marked as juveniles, and released at different times and sizes at Little Port Walter, Alaska to estimate average daily mortality during early marine residency for an early emigration group and a late emigration group. We assumed that differences in proportions of groups surviving to adult between the initial releases of unfed fry and subsequent releases of fed fry for each group were due to natural mortality during the time interval between releases. For both groups, mortality was highest during the period immediately after release, declining rapidly thereafter. Average daily mortality was 8.1% for the early release during their first 21d in the ocean and 3.9% for the late release during the first 32 d in the ocean. After May 4 (54 d and 33 d postrelease, respectively, for the early and late groups), average daily mortality was less than 0.6% for both groups. These results support the paradigm that most of the mortality of chum salmon in the ocean occurs early in their marine residency, and the results provide realistic rates for demographic modeling of the abundance of chum salmon in marine habitats.

Abstract:
<em>Abstract</em>.-The sea lamprey <em>Petromyzon marinus </em>is a widely distributed anadromous species spawning in coastal rivers and streams throughout the north Atlantic basin. In this paper, we review aspects of sea lamprey migration and ecology that relate to the transport of nutrients and materials to and from freshwater ecosystems and provide an example of a long-term study of a native wild population. Several aspects of lamprey life history (rapid growth in marine phase, many adults spawn in upper reaches of small oligotrophic rivers, all adults die after spawning) suggest that anadromous sea lampreys contribute marine-derived nutrients and materials (MDNM) to freshwater ecosystems. We used long-term (20 years) data on spawner abundance, along with literature-derived concentration values, to estimate the import of nutrients and materials to a spawning reach of the Fort River, a tributary of the Connecticut River in western Massachusetts, USA. Sea lamprey imported as much as 0.26 g of P per square meter of stream, as much as of 20% of the total annual P loading to a similar system where a full P budget has been developed. While the MDNM contribution of sea lamprey may be substantial, other aspects of their life history and habitat use may limit the overall magnitude and direction of lamprey influence on freshwater ecosystems. Spawning requirement for rocky substrate within a narrow size range may limit import at the watershed scale. In addition, marine survival rates of less than ~1% will result in a net export of nutrients and materials via out-migrating juveniles (transformers). While there is currently no information on survival rates in wild anadromous populations, the tight link between adult survival and prey/host fish populations observed in landlocked Great Lakes systems suggests that the ecological role of sea lamprey may be strongly related to the abundance of coastal marine fishes. Further research on adult survival, juvenile dispersal and distribution, and the paths of nutrient and material uptake in spawning streams are necessary to more fully evaluate the role of anadromous sea lamprey in the transport of MDNM.

Abstract:
<em>Abstract.</em>—Data were collected in Norton Sound from 2002 through 2006 to support the development of habitat-based models of coho salmon smolt production and adult escapements. Length of stream rearing habitat available to juvenile coho salmon in the summer was estimated at 83 km on the Nome River and 277 km on the North River, using a combination of <em>a priori </em>predictions of fish distribution and subsequent field sampling. The likely range of smolts produced by this habitat was modeled using three different relationships of habitat quantity and smolt production developed elsewhere. The estimated escapement of adult salmon needed to produce this range of smolts resulted in counts from 2,632 to 3,649 fish in the Nome River and from 8,766 to 10,481 fish in the North River, using various literature values of production, survival, and fecundity. A field study conducted in the next two years to estimate actual smolt abundance in the Nome River yielded estimates of 92,820 (95% CI = 84,615 – 101,026) in 2005 and 122,079 (95% CI = 112,612 – 131,546) coho salmon in 2006; these smolt abundances were within the range estimated by the <em>a priori </em>models. Through 2007, average adult coho salmon escapement to both rivers had also been within the 95% confidence interval predicted from two of the three smolt models, within 2% and 18% of the point estimate of one model, and within 27% and 32% of the second. Overall, models based on production estimates and life history variables developed outside of the region were relatively accurate for predicting coho salmon rearing distributions, smolt production per km of total rearing habitat, and adult spawner abundance. Based on this, habitat-based models used to help develop escapement goals in other regions may be similarly useful in the Norton Sound region.

Abstract:
Abstract We turn now to explore directly and on a larger scale the question of form which has already concerned us on a smaller. The audacity, and the cohesion, which we have seen there also appear here. In the past this literature has often been accused of devoting its attention chiefly to the individual episode, or even the individual sentence, and of disregarding wider entities. This view continues to find very distinguished adherents. More positive judgements are now often delivered on particular authors, frequently on the basis of detailed and rewarding study. Yet in justly stressing how works cohere, scholars perhaps fail to stress sufficiently how bold and strange these works can be. It is not enough to attack disunity or defend unity: unity of one kind (say in theme) can effectively be combined with disunity of another (say in plot), and rupture and excursion can be positively valued, for their daring or their expressive force or both.

Abstract:
The pandemic emergency has had a strong impact on many aspects of life, including education and training. Covid-19 has caused an increase in the risk of learning poverty, which contributes to generating deviance and juvenile crime. In this sense, the contribution aims to analyse these social constructs through a punctual analysis of the national and international scientific literature, the main theories, and current statistics. Subsequently, this study aims to deepen the inclusive value of laboratory teaching, in digital learning environments, as a useful methodology for the prevention and management of acts or behaviours that violate community norms.

Abstract:
Abstract If some poets prefer their earliest work to be given a quiet burial, there are others who find youthful productions, and mistakes, serviceable in their mature careers. Louis MacNeice belongs to this second category. The poetry of his early years, though for the most part dropped from the collected editions of his work, has distinct relevance for his writings from the 1930s until his death in 1963. Indeed, MacNeice gave public burials to his early work with some regularity in his critical essays. The reasons for this have largely failed to interest his critics, but the juvenilia have enough inherent value to be of interest outside the small circle of MacNeice scholars. This largely forgotten body of work casts a revealing light on the poetic experience of the ‘thirties generation’, the first poets in England whose encounter with Modernism was, in the phrase T. S. Eliot used for his generation’s reading of Shelley, ‘an affair of adolescence’. This article will survey MacNeice’s creative writing from 1924, when he was a pupil at Marlborough School, until 1930, when he left Oxford with a First Class Honours degree in ‘Greats’ (specializing in philosophy and classical literature) to take up an appointment as a lecturer in Greek at Birmingham University.

Abstract:
It is well recognized that there is a link between psychopathy, violent behaviour, and crime. Psychopathy is a personality construct typically related to deficits in interpersonal (e.g., manipulative, selfish), emotional (e.g., callous-unemotional) functioning, and social deviance with developmental origins. Characteristics associated with adult antisocial behaviour have been identified in children and adolescents. A large number of studies have provided empirical pieces of evidence. Despite researchers agreeing with the most essential components of psychopathy such as agreeableness, conscientiousness, fearlessness, or dominance, there has been some debate in certain areas. The existing literature on the construct of juvenile psychopathy shows that most youths start manifesting antisocial acts in their early life. The focus of this study was to present the role of psychopathic traits in juveniles and connect it to law enforcement, criminal law, child and adolescent psychiatry, and other forensic sciences (criminology, criminal psychology). Juvenile psychopathy is a subgroup of antisocial youth, and their identification is very important because of preventative measures, law enforcement, and more. Youth with high psychopathic traits establish their antisocial career early on. They are aggressive to people and animals, in most cases destroy others’ property, lie, deceive, thieve and commit other serious violent behaviours (not respecting rules). Ultimately, the recognition of such factors has a predictive value not only from the point of view of child and adolescent psychiatry but also from the point of view of law enforcement and forensic psychology, as they can be applied in crime prevention. Keywords: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Mental disorders, Fearless Dominance, Agreeableness, Callous/unemotional
