Abstract:
La modélisation hydraulique avec modèle déterministe est une méthode largement utilisée. Cependant,lamodélisation est un ptocessus complexe, notamrnent pour les aquifères où la quantité et la qualité desdonnées ne sont pas satisfaisantes. Etantune des sources pdncipales de I'eau douce dans la basse valléedu Var, Côte d',{.zur,Frarrce,la nappe libre de lavallée est menacée parla pénurie et la pollution. Maþéle grand nombre d'études effectuées dans cette zone, la dynamique des écoulements souterrains esttoujours patiellement inconnue. Par conséquent, la métropole Nice Côte d'Azur a besoin de développerun système d'aide à la décision (SÂD) à base des modèles numériques afin d'assurer une gestion plusefficace de l'eau souteraine. Un modèle numérique est développé avec FEFLO\ø en tenant compte desprécipitations, de l'é:vapoftanspiration, du pompage de l'eau souterraine, et des échanges nappe-rivière.Le volume d'eau pompée pour l'usage agdcole et le taux d'échange du lit mineur du Var ont été calibrés.Le modèle a été. vabdé. par une simulation de '1.266 jours. Le modèle est utilisé pour simuler les scénatüdes événements d'inondation et de sécheresse, les scénadi de pollution et l'intrusion d'eau de mer dans lavallée. Une première conception du système d'aide à la décision est présentée comme le demier exemplede l'application du modèle. Une interface de couplage est développée en Java et sert à échanger lesdonnées entre le modèle souterrain et le modèle à surface libre élaboré avec MIKE21FM
Groundwater modeling with deterministic model is a complicated process, especially in complex aquiferswhere the quantity and the quality of the measuted data arc not satisfying. The unconfined alluvialaquifet is the main water resource in the lower valley of Vat river, Ftench Riviera, but it faces a thteat ofshortage and pollution. Despite numerous previous studies, the dynamics of the gtoundwater flow in thealluvial aquifer and the characteristics of the rivet-aquifer exchanges ¿re s':ll partially unknown.Therefore the local u/ater management service requires a decision support system PSS) based onnumerical models to ensure a better groundwater management. A hydraulic model is set up withFEFLO!ø software by considedng ptecþitation, evâpotranspiration, gtoundwatet exftacdon and rivetaquiferexchanges. The non-documented groundwater exttaction fot agticultural use and the transferrates in the dverbed along the river have been calibtated. The model has been validated with asimulation of 7266 days. The model is applied to simulate the scenarios of flood and drought events, thepollution events in the unconfined aquifer in the valley and the seawater inrusion in the estuary of Yarriver. These case studies contributes to increase the knowledge of the aquifet. A fust conception of theDSS tool is presented as the last example of model application. A coupling interface is developed thanksto aJava which enables an automatic exchange of data between the groundwater flow model and thesurface wâter flow model built with MII(E2ltr}'/. More tests should be done to validate the couplinginterface

Abstract:
Aujourd’hui, les zones côtières concentrent souvent des villes densément peuplées où le développement économique est associé à une rapide urbanisation. Dans de nombreux endroits, les cours d’eau sont intégrés en zone urbaine présentant à la fois des ressources et des risques potentiels. La concurrence croissante entre les activités économiques et l'espace essentiel aux rivières et aux milieux naturels nécessite une gestion intégrée basée sur des outils fiables capables de fournir des informations hydrologiques. La basse vallée du Var, dans le sud de la France, est spécifiquement exposée à une augmentation de l’activité humaine, et les impacts sociaux sur l’environnement deviennent de plus en plus intenses. Par conséquent, le cycle de l’eau est déséquilibré et induit des problèmes liés à l’eau. Pour traiter ces problèmes, les collectivités territoriales ont besoin d’outils d’aide à la décision qui simulent le comportement du bassin versant. Tel est l’objectif du projet AquaVar qui repose sur trois modèles numériques : Mike SHE pour le bassin versant du Var, Mike 21FM pour la rivière, et Feflow pour l’aquifère. Ces travaux de recherches se concentrent sur le modèle des écoulements à surface libre et son intégration au sein de l’outil d’aide à la décision.Les modèles hydrauliques 2D sont fréquemment utilisés car ils fournissent une vision précise des phénomènes physiques en rivière et de l’hydrodynamique durant des événements extrêmes (inondation, sécheresse et pollution accidentelle). Le modèle des écoulements à surface libre 2D est conçu avec le logiciel Mike 21FM en utilisant la méthodologie classique. Il est calibré et validé pour des conditions spécifiques de la basse vallée du Var : hautes eaux au mois de novembre, hautes eaux au printemps dues à la fonte des neiges et basses eaux en été. Le modèle hydraulique peut non seulement être utilisé pour simuler des scénarios d’événements extrêmes, mais il est également capable d’interagir avec le modèle des écoulements souterrains développé avec Feflow. Une interface spécifique est développée pour connecter le Var et son aquifère dans la basse vallée. Elle nécessite cependant une phase de validation afin de précisément simuler les échanges nappe-rivière.De toute évidence, le modèle Mike 21FM est le cœur de l’outil d’aide à la décision. L'hydrodynamique du fleuve dépend de la transformation des précipitations en débit (modélisée par Mike SHE) et du volume d'eau échangé avec l'aquifère (modélisé par Feflow). La dernière partie est consacrée à la construction de l'outil d’aide à la décision avec l'intégration du modèle hydraulique 2D. Ce système de modèles est implémenté dans une interface web et accessible par différents utilisateurs. Cet outil peut être facilement mis à jour en partageant les données de chaque partenaire. Dans le futur, cet outil pourrait intégrer le petit cycle de l'eau (réseaux d’assainissement et d’alimentation en eau potable). Les autorités locales pourraient donc prévoir et contrôler leurs ressources en eau et les risques potentiels
Nowadays, the coastal areas concentrate frequently densely populated cities where economic development is associated to a fast urbanization. In many locations rivers are integrated within the urban areas and present both resources and potential risks. The growing competition between the economic activities and the essential space for the rivers requests an efficient management based on reliable tools able to provide hydrological information. Typically, the Lower Var valley, in south of France, faces to an increase of human activities, and the social impacts on the natural environment have become more and more intensive. Therefore, the water cycle is unbalanced implying water problems. To deal with this issue, local authorities needs a Decision Support System (DSS) tool to simulate the behaviour of water system. This is the objective of the AquaVar research which includes three numerical models: Mike SHE for the Var catchment, Mike 21FM for the Lower Var River, and Feflow for the aquifer. Here, the research is focused on the 2D free surface flow model and its integration in the DSS tool.The 2D hydraulic models represent a meaningful approach that can provide an accurate view on the physical processes within the river and on the hydrodynamics during the extreme events (inundation, drought and accidental pollution). The 2D free surface flow model is designed with Mike 21FM software using common methodology. It is calibrated and validated for the three specific weather conditions in the Lower Var valley: floods which occur in November, spring floods due to snow melting and droughts in summer. Not only the 2D hydraulic model allows to simulate scenarios of inundation and accidental pollutions, but it is also able to exchange water volume with the groundwater model developed with Feflow. A specific interface is developed to connect river and aquifer in the Lower Var valley. It required validation cases to accurately simulate the river-aquifer exchanges.Obviously, Mike 21FM is finally the core of the DSS tool because it is the centre of the modelling system. The hydrodynamics of the river depends on precipitations converted in flow by Mike SHE model, and exchanges water volume with the aquifer modelled by Feflow. The last part of this research is dedicated to the construction of the DSS tool and the integration of the 2D hydraulic model. The modelling system is implemented in a web interface adapted for different types of users. This DSS tool can be easily updated by sharing data from all the stakeholders. In the future, this tool could integrate sewage network and drinking water supply system to consider all the water cycle. Hence, local authorities could forecast and control the water resources and the potential risks

Abstract:
Ce travail s'inscrit dans une problématique locale de teneur élevée en arsenic naturel dans le but d'améliorer la surveillance et la gestion de la qualité de la ressource en eau dans l'arrière-pays niçois. L'existence de grandes disparités géographiques des teneurs en arsenic font de la géologie la cause principale de cette contamination. L'intérêt de ce travail est d'appréhender les interactions solide/solution entre l'arsenic total dissous et les particules solides (matières en suspensions, sédiment de lit de rivière, solides naturels). Pour décrypter le comportement géochimique de l'arsenic, les trois objectifs principaux sont : de déterminer son état de conservativité dans le milieu naturel ; puis d'étudier les phénomènes d'adsorption en laboratoire sur des solides naturels (illite, oxydes de fer) ou de référence (kaolinite) ; puis enfin d'apporter une application directe au piégeage de l'arsenic par la création d'un pilote de traitement destiné à dépolluer une source d'eau destiné à la consommation humaine. La concentration en particule est le facteur influençant la conservativité de l'arsenic dans le système de confluence Tinée/Var selon les données des compartiments dissous et particulaire. La fraction colloïdale semble avoir une implication de premier ordre lors de la période de crue étudiée. Le piégeage de l'arsenic est favorisé par les oxyhydroxydes de fer, les argiles puis en moindre quantité par les solides acido-solubles.

Abstract:
Vallen and Falling belong to two distinctive genres - youth novel and film - which are in interaction with different semiotic systems, and which can be investigated and described integrated with the social context and its processes of communication. The rewriting or 'translation' of the novel to the film is a transformational process in which the reader/viewer assigns a certain significance to the texts in terms of an analysis and interpretation. The novel and the film, then, each has a distinct effect on the reader or viewer. This study is focused on a number of questions arising from the process of transformation. Firstly, a transformation-study requires/necessitates the delineation of a theoretical framework for the structured and systematic analysis of the texts under consideration. Secondly, the question arises: which procédés (variants and constants) are activated in the different texts when analysed, and what might the effect be, of these procédés, on interpretation? The analysis is characterised by an interdisciplinary approach, which engages such disciplines as film studies, sociology, psychology and philosophy, in order to interpret the representation procédés in the novel and the film. Throughout, the analysis is based on the reciprocal interaction of semiotic to wit, the syntactical, semantic, and pragmatic components. The variants and constants that can be identified in a comparison between the novel and the film through the exploration of the transformation procédés, are reflected in the results of this study. The various possibilities of interpretation of the variants and constants are circumscribed and argued. Ultimately, the thematic relevance of this study emerges in terms of the analysis and interpretation of the texts, and a consequent parallel drawn between the South African and European contexts.

Tämä kandidaatin tutkielma tarkastelee, millaisista tekijöistä opettajan toimiva pedagoginen auktoriteetti muodostuu ja millaisella auktoriteetilla opettaja edistää luokan myönteistä vuorovaikutusta, ilmapiiriä ja suhdetta oppilaisiinsa. Lisäksi tutkielmaan on otettu toinen, päinvastainen näkökulma, tutkimalla sitä millaisilla vuorovaikutuksen tavoilla opettaja edistää toimivan auktoriteettisuhteen muodostamista ja täten myös yleistä myönteistä vuorovaikutusilmapiiriä luokassaan. Tutkimuksen pääaiheena on siis opettajan auktoriteetti ja lisänäkökulmana vuorovaikutus, sekä näiden kahden yhteydet toisiinsa. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvittää opettajan ammatin keskeisten asioiden toimivuuden avaimia, joilla opettajat (ja etenkin uudet, kokemattomammat opettajat) voisivat selviytyä nykypäivän haasteellisessa ja vaativassa työssään kunniakkaasti. Työn tarkoituksena on myös havahduttaa opettajaopiskelijoita pohtimaan omaa tulevaa opettajuuttaan, auktoriteettiaan, sekä niiden taustalla vaikuttavia tekijöitä. Tutkimus on toteutettu laadullisesti, systemaattisena kirjallisuuskatsauksena ja tutkimuksen lähteinä sekä teoreettisena viitekehyksenä ovat toimineet kasvatustieteessä-, kasvatussosiologiassa- ja sosiaalipsykologiassa ilmestyneet teokset, tutkimukset ja artikkelit. Tutkimus etenee lähtemällä liikkeelle auktoriteetin käsitteen avaamisesta sekä siitä, mihin auktoriteetti perustuu, miten se voi syntyä ja millaisia erilaisia tapoja olla auktoriteetti on olemassa. Tämän jälkeen tutkimus perehtyy pääaiheeseen, eli opettajan auktoriteettiin ja sen syntymiseen, sekä rakentumiseen vaikuttaviin tekijöihin. Lopuksi tutkimus käsittelee opettajan auktoriteetin ja vuorovaikutuksen yhteyksiä toisiinsa, sekä vuorovaikutustapoja, joilla opettaja luo pedagogisesti toimivan auktoriteetin, myönteiset suhteet oppilaisiinsa ja hyvän vuorovaikutusilmapiirin luokkaansa. Tutkimuksen keskeisimpänä tuloksena on, että opettajan auktoriteetti perustuu luokkatilanteissa tapahtuvaan vuorovaikutukseen ja oppilaiden kohtaamisen laatuun. Hyvä ja toimiva auktoriteetti, sekä myönteinen vuorovaikutus, opettaja–oppilas-suhteet ja ilmapiiri saavutetaan vuorovaikutuksella, jonka henkeä luonnehtivat muun muassa opettajan ja oppilaan välinen keskinäinen luottamus, läsnäolo, kunnioitus ja arvostus. Merkittäviä muita tekijöitä ovat esimerkiksi opettajan käytös, asenteet ja arvot, sekä avoimuus ja aitous.

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to measure the influence of a logotherapy activity, the mountain range exercise on the purpose in life and values of Grade 11 scholars of a specific culture community in the Western Cape. Two research hypotheses were formulated; firstly, that the logotherapy activity will help to heighten the meaning in the lives of Grade 11 scholars and, secondly, that the logotherapy activity would influence the values of Grade 11 scholars. The fifty-nine subjects used in the study were Grade 11 scholars at Macassar High School in the Western Cape. The subjects were divided into an experimental and control group. Two questionnaires were used in the study: the Purpose in Life-test (PIL) and the Allport-Vernon-Lindzey Study of Values (AVL). After the experimental group completed the logotherapy activity they were divided into four discussion groups, each group consisting of seven or eight subjects. The groups underwent two discussion sessions. The experimental group completed the logotherapy activity and a post-test was carried out on both groups. Results showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test of the experimental group on the Purpose in Life-test. The first research hypotheses is hereby supported; that is the implementation of the logotherapy activity heighten the meaning in the lives of the experimental group. The pre-test and post-test results of the experimental group differed significantly with regard to the economic value. The second research hypotheses is hereby supported, that is, the implementation of the logotherapy activity will influence the values of Grade 11 scholars.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Die doel van die ondersoek was die meting van die invloed van die logoterapeutiese groepsaktiwiteit, naamlik die bergreeks-oefening, op die doel van die lewe en waardes van Graad 11 leerlinge van en bepaalde kultuurgemeenskap in die Wes-Kaapland. Twee navorsingshipoteses is geformuleer, naamlik dat die logoterapeutiese groepsaktiwiteit die sin en betekenis in die lewe van Graad 11 leerlinge sal verhoog en tweedens dat die groepsaktiwiteit die waardes van die leerlinge betekenisvol sal beïnvloed. Die nege-en-vyftig subjekte was Graad 11 hoërskool leerlinge van Macassar Sekondêr in die Wes-Kaapland. Die ondersoekgroep is ewekansig in en eksperimentele en kontrole groep verdeel. Twee vraelyste is toegepas: Die Betekenis in die lewe-vraelys (PIL) en die Allport-Vernon-Lindzey Waardeskaal (AVL). Nadat die eksperimentele groep die logoterapeutiese groepsaktiwiteit voltooi het, is hulle in vier diskussiegroepe verdeel, elk met sewe of agt lede. Die diskussiegroepe het twee groepsbesprekings ondergaan. Die nameting is op albei groepe gedoen om sodoende te bepaal of die logoterapeutiese groepsaktiwiteit die navorsingshipoteses ondersteun. Die eksperimentele groep se voor- en nametingsresultate ten opsigte van hulle sinsbelewing het beduidend verskil. Die eerste navorsingshipotese is hierdeur ondersteun, naamlik dat die implimentering van die logoterapeutiese groepsaktiwiteit die sin van die lewe van die eksperimentele groep verhoog. Abstract:
In the past few years, led by graphene, a large variety of two dimensional (2D) materials have been discovered to exhibit astonishing properties. By assembling 2D materials with different designs, we are able to construct novel artificial van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures to explore new fundamental physics and potential applications for future technology. This thesis describes several novel vdW heterostructures and their fundamental properties. At the beginning, the basic properties of some 2D materials and assembled vdW heterostructures are introduced, together with the fabrication procedure and transport measurement setups. Then the graphene based capacitors on hBN (hexagonal Boron Nitride) substrate are studied, where quantum capacitance measurements are applied to determine the density of states and many body effects. Meanwhile, quantum capacitance measurement is also used to search for alternative substrates to hBN which allow graphene to exhibit micrometer-scale ballistic transport. We found that graphene placed on top of MoS2 and TaS2 show comparable mobilities up to 60,000cm2/Vs. After that, the graphene/hBN superlattices are studied. With a Hall bar structure based on the superlattices, we find that new Dirac minibands appear away from the main Dirac cone with pronounced peaks in the resistivity and are accompanied by reversal of the Hall effects. With the capacitive structure based on the superlattices, quantum capacitance measurement is used to directly probe the density states in the graphene/hBN superlattices, and we observe a clear replica spectrum, the Hofstadter-butterfly fan diagram, together with the suppression of quantum Hall Ferromagnetism. In the final part, we report on the existence of the valley current in the graphene/hBN superlattice structure. The topological current originating from graphene’s two valleys flows in opposite directions due to the broken inversion symmetry in the graphene/hBN superlattice, meaning an open band gap in graphene.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka vad verksamma pedagoger i förskolan anser är önskvärd samt icke önskvärd lek i förskolans verksamhet. Studien förankrar sig i Basil Bernsteins (1924–2000) teori om inramning. Det insamlade materialet består av tolv stycken intervjuer med verksamma pedagoger och deras utsagor kring vad de anser är önskvärd och icke önskvärd lek i förskolan. Resultatet visade att det var lättare för pedagogerna att beskriva vad de ansåg var icke önskvärd lek än önskvärd lek. Det mest centrala i resultatet om önskvärd lek var att pedagogerna ansåg att önskvärd lek är lek som är inkluderande där alla barn får vara med. Sett till vad pedagogerna ansåg var icke önskvärd lek så var det främst lek där barnen riskerar ta fysisk eller emotionell skada. Enlig vår analys kunde samma typ av lek omslutas antingen av en stark eller en svag inramning utifrån de intervjuade pedagogernas svar.
The purpose of this study is to investigate what active educators in preschool consider is desirable and undesirable play in preschool activities. The study is rooted in Basil Bernstein's (1924–2000) theory of framing. The collected material consists of twelve interviews with active educators and their statements about what they consider is desirable and undesirable play in preschool. The result showed that it was easier for educators to describe what they considered is undesirable play than desirable play. The most central thing in the result about desirable play was that the educators considered that desirable play is play that is inclusive where all children can participate. Seen to what the educators considered about undesirable play it was mainly play where the children could risk taking physical or emotional harm. According to our analysis, the same type of play could be embraced either by a strong or a weak framing based on the interviewed educators response.

L'objectif de cette thèse est de contribuer à une meilleure compréhension du fonctionnement hydrologique du bassin versant du Var situé dans le Sud-Est de la France et caractérisé par des contrastes hydroclimatiques associés à une topographie très tourmentée, et de mettre à la disposition des aménageurs une base de données spatiale (topographique, occupation du sol, géologique, hydrographique, hydroclimatique) gérée par un Système d'Information Géographique SIG. Le bassin est exposé aux risques des pluies extrêmes et par conséquent aux inondations. Dans ce contexte, les aléas climatique et hydrologique sont analysés à travers deux principaux aspects : la distribution spatio-temporelle des pluies moyennes et extrêmes et la transformation de la pluie en débit. La cartographie automatique des pluies, facteur important d'aléa hydrologique, des températures et de l'évapotranspiration potentielle a montré l'influence déterminante du relief sur leurs distributions spatiales. Cette régionalisation a été réalisée à l'aide des régressions linéaires multiples et du krigeage. L'intégration des gradex de pluies de bassin de 1 à 3 jours estimés d'après les pluies maximales de la saison à haut risque (septembre-janvier) dans la méthode de Gradex a servi à calculer les débits maxima instantanés. Les résultats obtenus sont cohérents avec ceux cités dans la littérature. La modélisation pluie-débit sur le Var aval et les principaux sous-bassins versants a été réalisée à différents pas de temps. Les modèles utilisés (GR2M, LoiEau, GR4J, GR4JH et l'environnement HEC-HMS) ont été calés et validés à partir des données expérimentales et ont permis de reconstituer les débits et les crues du Var
The objective of this PhD thesis is to contribute to a better comprehension of the hydrological behaviour of the Var catchment area located in the South-east of France and characterized by hydroclimatic contrasts associated with the topography, and to put a spatial database (topographic, occupation of soil, geological, hydrographic, hydroclimatic) managed by a Geographical Information System GIS at the disposal of the developers. The catchment is exposed to the hazards of the extreme rainfalls and consequently to the floods. In this context the climatic and hydrological hazards are analyzed through two main aspects: spatial and temporal distribution of the rainfalls and the transformation of the rainfalls into runoff. The automatic cartography of the rainfalls, significant factor of hydrological hazard, the temperatures and the potential evapotranspiration showed the determining influence of the relief on their spatial distributions. This regionalization was carried out using the multiple linear regressions and of the krigeage. The integration of the gradex of the catchment rainfalls from 1 to 3 days estimated according to the maximum rainfalls of the high-risk season (September-January) in the method of Gradex was used to calculate the instantaneous maximum discharges. The results obtained are coherent with those quoted in the literature. Modelling rainfall-runoff relationship on the Var and the principal sub-catchments was carried out with various steps of time. The models used (GR2M, LoiEau, GR4J, GR4JH and environment HEC-HMS) were calibrated and validated from the experimental measurements and made it possible to reconstitute the discharges and the floods of the Var catchment

Mappatura del substrato roccioso al di sotto delle coperture quaternarie che ricoprono la valle d'Oltradige (mediante metodi sismici e gravimetrici) per dare un contributo alla ricostruzione dell'evoluzione geologica dell'area. L'Oltradige è una zona collinare situata a sud-ovest della città di Bolzano, che si colloca a quote circa 200 m superiori rispetto al fondovalle della Val d’Adige (con cui confina a nord). In passato alcuni autori, basandosi su informazioni geomorfologiche e geologiche di superficie, hanno avanzato l'ipotesi che tale valle rappresenti il tratto abbandonato di un antico corso del fiume Adige, che qui doveva scorrere fino all’ultimo massimo glaciale. Tuttavia, non sono disponibili informazioni sufficienti per la ricostruzione della profondità del substrato roccioso, che possano confermare o smentire l’evoluzione geologica proposta. La possibilità di indagare la profondità relativa fra le due valli (Val d’Adige e Oltradige), può fornire informazioni utili alla comprensione della loro storia evolutiva.

The research in this study focuses on the role of environmental education activities in the clarification of environmental values in Grade 6 learners. The much discussed environmental crisis arose as a result of man's negative environmental behaviour. Human behaviour is a matter of choices based on environmental values. Environmental value clarification aims to raise learners' awareness of their own values and to increase their effect on the environment. It helps learners to explore their own values, to consider advantages and disadvantages, to accept that others' beliefs may vary from their own, and to align their own actions and behaviours with their personal beliefs. Using environmental education activities the researcher aims to help learners clarify their environmental values as environmental education activities can not only be interesting and fun, but can also have a powerful impact on students' interest in and awareness of environmental problems. As the clarification of environmental values contains a highly subjective component, use is made of a combined method research strategy. The quantitative research component takes place through a pre- and post-test test with an experimental and a control group. During the pre- and post-test a standardised questionnaire is used whilst the interventions take the form of an environmental education activity. A qualitative, collective case study design forms the qualitative part of the combined method, through observation during the activity and focus group interviews thereafter. Three schools that are part of the project "Education for sustainable living", where schools pay attention to the environment through the implementation of environmental management principles, were selected for participation. The findings indicate that learners that were exposed to the activity are confronted with their own environmental values and attitudes whilst being forced to seriously, honestly andcritically reflect on his / her own values regarding specific environmental issues in the activity.

Cette thèse vise l’étude des processus d’émergence, de structuration et de mutation d’un réseau urbain antique depuis la fin de la Protohistoire jusqu’au Moyen Âge dans une micro-région située aux confins des territoires antiques éduens, lingons et séquanes, le Val de Saône. Celle-ci se caractérise par une armature dense d’agglomérations gallo-romaines possédant une somme et une qualité de données inégalée en Gaule, fruit de recherches anciennes et récentes. Alors que ces agglomérations ont été parmi les premières étudiées au cours des années 1980, leur exploitation s’est limitée à l’étude des hiérarchies et des fonctions urbaines durant le Haut-Empire, délaissant la chronologie et l’évolution du système urbain.Le corpus de sites a fait l’objet d’une démarche d’homogénéisation et de cartographie des données grâce à des outils spécialement développés. Pour répondre aux questions d’organisation spatiale et de chronologie, de nouvelles acquisitions d’informations ont été réalisées. Ces données, rassemblées dans des notices et synthétisées à travers une série de descripteurs, permettent de réfléchir sur une meilleure définition de la caractérisation des agglomérations et sur l’étude de leur parcours chronologique.C’est à partir de la typo-chronologie des agglomérations que les dynamiques spatiales, morphologiques et temporelles sont mises en évidence à l’échelle du Val de Saône, puis comparées avec les données du Centre-Est de la Gaule. L’analyse in-terne des agglomérations permet d’appréhender la place et le rôle des composantes principales des occupations comme les parures monumentales, les types d’habitat ou l’artisanat. L’enquête montre l’importance et la variété des agglomérations dans le système de peuplement du Val de Saône depuis la fin de la période laténienne. L’organisation des ré-seaux antiques, issue d’un héritage protohistorique très marqué, et les dynamiques urbaines indiquent des récurrences et des spécificités à chacune des cités.Cette thèse constitue ainsi une synthèse inédite sur l’émergence, le développement et le devenir de ce réseau urbain remarquable, dont la structure est encore nettement discernable aujourd’hui
The aim of this thesis is to study the processes of emergence, structuring and mutation of an ancient urban network from the end of the Protohistory to the beginning of the Middle Ages in a micro-region located on the edge of the ancient éduens, lingons and séquanes territories, the Saône Valley. This area is characterized by a density of Gallo-Roman small towns with an amount and a high quality of data unequalled in Gaul, as a result of ancient and recent research. While these small towns were among the first studied in the 1980’s, their exploitation was limited to the study of hierarchies and urban functions during the High Empire, neglecting the chronology and the evolution of the urban system.The site corpus has been homogenized and mapped using new tools that were specially developed for that. To meet the expectations of spatial organization and chronology, new information has been gathered. These data, collected in notes and synthesised through a set of archaeological descriptors, allow us to reflect on a better definition of the small towns characterization and on the study of their evolution paths.It is from the typo-chronology of the towns that spatial, morphological and temporal dynamics are highlighted on the scale of the Saône Valley, then are compared to the Central-East of Gaul’s data. The internal analysis of towns makes it possible to understand the place and role of the main components of occupancies such as monumental adornments, habitat types or handicraft. The research shows the importance and the variety of the urban area towns in the settlement system of Saône Valley from the end of the Latenian period. The organization of ancient networks, resulting from a very marked protohistorical heritage, and the urban dynamics indicate recurrences and specificities to each of the cities.This thesis makes an unprecedented synthesis on the emergence, development and future of this remarkable urban network, whose structure is still distinctly discernible nowadays

Les communes rurales du secteur II de la ville nouvelle de Marne-la-Vallée (Val Maubuée) ont connu une mutation très importante de la population en quelques années suite aux opérations de la ville nouvelle. L'arrivée de la nouvelle population modifie l'équilibre social de ces communes et engendre des changement dans la composition des équipes municipales. Mais le rôle des habitants dans la détermination des politiques spatiales ne se limite pas aux élections. Les associations d'habitants se créent et se multiplient pour améliorer les conditions de vie dans la ville nouvelle. Cette recherche s'intéresse au rôle de ces associations dans l'aménagement et la gestion de l'espace. On distingue a Val-Maubuée trois types d'associations selon leurs thèmes et leurs actions. Celles de défense des habitants et de leur cadre de vie, celles de la sociabilité locale et d'intégration et finalement les associations du gestion du cadre de vie (associations de responsabilisation du citoyen et les associations para-municipales). Etude des points de ressemblance et de divergence de ces trois catégories d'association permet de mieux cerner leur rôle dans l'organisation de l'espace dans les six communes du Val-Maubuée
Following the development of the new town Marne-la-Vallée, the population of the rural districts of its second sector Val-Maubuée has undergone significant changes. The arrival of the newcomers has largely changed the social balance of these districts and consequently has brought changes to the municipal team. However, the role of the inhabitants to determine the spatial policies go far beyond their participation in the elections. The local associations come into existance increasingly in order to ameliorate the conditions of living for the inhabitants of the new town. The present research looks at the role of these associations in the spatial organisation and development. Three types of associations can be identified in val-maubuee according to their themes and actions : associations for the defence of inhabitants and their living conditions, the associations of local sociability and integration and finally the managerial associations. (the paramunicipal and the self responsible citizens associations). A comparative and contrasting study of these associations allows one to define their role in the management and development of the space within the six districts of Val-Maubuée

Abstract:
This study focuses on the identification of didactic guidelines for presenting values education in secondary schools. The studied literature sends a clear message that values education is of cardinal importance in education, teaching and training. In 2000 the National Department of Education of South Africa assembled a task team to identify a set of values in particular relevant to education and training. In the report Manifesto on Values Education and Democracy (DOE, 2001) six core values are singled out as of primary importance to the new dispensation in South Africa: equality, equal rights, tolerance, multilingualism, transparency, accountability, and social responsibility. The Report focuses only on national, political and social values, however. From research performed by Rens (2005), Hattingh (1999) en Bagarette (1995), it is clear that an individual needs to be educated as a holistic being and all life values thus need to be addressed integratively . A literature study was undertaken to clarify the concepts values, value orientation and values education, and also to determine how adolescents experience values education. Consequently, different values education programmes currently implemented in foreign countries were analysed . It was found that the 'Cornerstone-waardes" programme of John Heenan, applied in New Zealand, could reasonably easily be adapted for the South African context. From the discussion of the curriculating process as applicable to values education, didactic guidelines could be formulated for values education in South African schools. To identify the current orientation to values as manifested by learners, teachers and school principals in South Africa, the values questionnaire compiled by Vreken and Rens (2001) for research on the values orientation of university learners, was adapted and completed by the population involved in this study. Principals were subjected to partly-structured interviews to gain their opinions on values education in schools. Interviews on possible guidelines for values education in South Africa were also conducted by e-mail with international experts. Since the primary aim of the study was to determine the values orientation of secondary school learners and to recommend didactic guidelines for values education, the aim was mainly attained by means of the empirical study. Noteworthy is, however, that there is no symmetry between learners' views on important values and those that the Department of Education finds it necessary to be promoted.

L’objectif de cette thèse est d’étudier la distribution spatiale et verticale des éléments traces (stables et radioactifs) dans la basse vallée du Var (sud-est, France). Afin d’étudier la répartition chimique des éléments traces dans les différentes phases des sédiments et leur mobilité, un protocole d’extraction séquentielle a été développé et appliqué sur tous les échantillons. Ce protocole a permis de mieux différencier la fraction labile des éléments traces. Un fond géochimique des éléments traces dans les sédiments de la basse vallée du Var est proposé, il pourra être utile dans le futur pour mieux détecter une pollution dans le site. Les calculs des facteurs d’enrichissement dans la carotte de ces éléments sont également abordés. Les activités des radionucléides naturels (²³⁸U, ²³²Th et ⁴⁰K) et artificiels (¹³⁷Cs) ont été mesurées dans des échantillons de sédiment dans l’ensemble du bassin versant du Var. La datation par le césium-137 a été utilisée comme repère de temps sur une carotte du sédiment. The aim of this thesis is to study the spatial and vertical distribution of trace elements (stable and radioactive) in the lower valley of the Var River (SE, France). To investigate the chemical distribution of trace elements in different phases of sediments and their mobility, a sequential extraction protocol was developed and applied to all samples. It has helped differentiate the labile fraction of trace elements. Natural background of trace elements in sediments of the lower valley of the Var is proposed, it may be useful in future to better detect pollution in the region. Calculations of enrichment factors (EF) in the core of these elements are also discussed. The activities of natural radionucleides (²³⁸U, ²³²Th and ⁴⁰K) and artificial (¹³⁷Cs) were measured sediment samples throughout the watershed of the Var River. Dating with cesium-137 was used as a mark time on the sediment core. To estimate the potential hazard due to natural radionucleides in surface sediments, the absorbed dose rate (D) and the annual effective dose equivalent (AEDE) were calculated and compared with international recommended values

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: According to Hurlock ( in Louw, Gerdes & Meyer, 1985), traditional society has a larger number of prescribed values and rules of behaviour than is the case in modern society. In modern society the onus rests on the individual who is expected to direct his behaviour in accordance with the values of his choice. The individual has to accept responsibility for determining his own values. This may create problems for the adolescent because he will be confronted by a wide range of diverse values without the benefit of guidelines or rules to tell him which of those values should be accepted and which should rather be avoided. Against this background it becomes clear why the internalization of moral values, as they develop, is of utmost importance to the adolescent. In this study an attempt has been made to investigate the relationship between stage of moral development and locus of control within a group of Afrikaans-speaking adolescents. The study has further attempted to determine the influence of intellectual ability on the relationship between stage of moral development and locus of control. Males and females were also compared with respect to moral development and locus of control. The sample comprised 193 white, Afrikaans-speaking grade eleven pupils. Seventy-six were boys and 117 girls. The subjects were selected from three high schools situated in three different towns and/or cities. All the subjects came from complete families in which both biological parents were present. Taylor's Reasons for Action Questionnaire (1978) was used to determine the stage of moral development. This questionnaire is based on Lawrence Kohlberg's six stages of moral development which in itself developed from the cognitive-developmental structural approach to moral development. The Rotter Internal-External Locus of Control Questionnaire was used to measure the level of locus of control. Intelligence test scores, as measured by the New South African Group Test, were obtained from the E119 records at the various schools. The responses to a biographical questionnaire were used to facilitate the demarcation of the sample. The results of the study indicated that on average the sample as a whole, functions on a conventional moral level. A significantly negative correlation (r(193) = -,28; P < ,001) was found between locus of control and level of moral developement. This indicates that within this group of Afrikaans-speaking adolescents an internal locus of control is associated with a higher level of moral development whilst and external locus of control is associated with a lower level of moral development. In this study intelligence had little or no influence on the relationship between level of moral development and locus of control. This supports the view of Kohlberg (1969) that there is a curved line relationship between the level of moral judgement and intellectual ability. Finally it may be said with a 95% degree of certainty, that there is a significant gender difference in respect of the construct of moral development. The girls used in this sample displayed a more developed level of moral development than the boys.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: In tradisionele samelewings is daar, volgens Hurlock (aangehaal in Louw, Gerdes & Meyer, 1985), meer waardes en reëls vir gedrag voorgeskryf as in die moderne samelewing. In die moderne samelewing rus die onus op die individu om sy gedrag volgens die waardes van sy keuse in te rig. Hierdie verantwoordelikheid wat op die individu rus om self sy waardes te bepaal, kan vir die adolessent probleme skep aangesien hy deur 'n groot verskeidenheid waardes konfronteer word sonder riglyne of reëls oor watter waardes aanvaar en watter liefs vermy moet word. Teen hierdie agtergrond is dit duidelik waarom die internalisering van morele waardes, soos dit ontwikkel, van uiterste belang is vir die adolessent. Die onderhawige studie poog om die verband tussen die stadium van morele ontwikkeling en lokus van kontrole by 'n groep Afrikaanssprekende adolessente te ondersoek. Verder is probeer om die invloed van intellektuele vermoë op die verband tussen die stadium van morele ontwikkeling en lokus van kontrole te ondersoek. Laastens is die geslagte met mekaar vergelyk ten opsigte van die twee konstrukte, naamlik stadium van morele ontwikkeling en lokus van kontrole. Die ondersoekgroep het bestaan uit 193 blanke Afrikaanssprekende graad 11 leerlinge. Hiervan was 76 seuns en 117 meisies. Die toetslinge was afkomstig uit drie hoërskole wat in drie verskillende dorpe en/of stede geleë is. Die toetslinge het uit volledige gesinne gekom, dit wil sê, gesinne waar beide die biologiese ouers nog teenwoordig was in die huishouding. Die Redes vir Optrede Vraelys van Taylor (1978) is gebruik om die stadium van morele ontwikkeling vas te stel. Hierdie vraelys is gebaseer op Lawrence Kohlberg se ses stadia van morele ontwikkeling wat ontstaan het vanuit die kognitief-ontwikkelende strukturele benadering van morele ontwikkeling. Die Rotter Interne-Eksterne Lokus van Kontrole Vraelys is gebruik om die vlak van lokus van kontrole te bepaal. Verstandtoetstellings, soos gemeet deur die Nuwe Suid- Afrikaanse Groeptoets, is vanaf die E119-vorms by die onderskeie skole verkry. Die response op "n biografiese vraelys is benut ten einde die steekproef effektief at te baken. Die resultate van die ondersoek toon dat die totale steekproef wat gemiddeldes betref, op 'n konvensionele morele vlak redeneer. Daar is "n beduidende negatiewe verband r(193) = -,28; p< ,001) tussen lokus van kontrole en vlak van morele ontwikkeling gevind. Dit dui daarop dat, by hierdie groep Afrikaanssprekende adolessente, "n interne lokus van kontrole saamgaan met "n hoër vlak van morele ontwikkeling en "n eksterne lokus van kontrole met "n laer vlak van morele ontwikkeling saamgaan. In hierdie studie het intellektuele vermoë ook weinig tot geen invloed op die verband tussen vlak van morele ontwikkeling en lokus van kontrole gehad nie. Die bevinding ondersteun Kohlberg (1969) se siening dat die verband tussen vlak van morele oordeel en intellektuele vermoë kromlynig is. Laastens kan daar met 95% sekerheid gesê word dat die geslagte beduidend van mekaar verskil ten opsigte van die konstruk morele ontwikkeling. Dit blyk dat die meisies in hierdie steekproef moreel verder ontwikkel het as die seuns.

My study was conducted to provide a deeper understanding of the identity of employee soldiers in the armed forces and their experience of their role in the military context. To describe and identify the soldier's identity formation, values and norms working in group processes are taken into account. As the individual identifies her or himself whit the group, the various phenomena as hostility to other military groups arise. The individuals weld together with other group members to form strong normative relationships within the group. Through a qualitative research approach eight soldiers in a regiment in western Sweden were interviewed, four of them were group executives or deputy group leaders and others were ordinary soldiers. The interviews were interpreted based on the symbolic interactionistic theory; Mead and Goffman. The results of this study indicate that soldiers are working largely based on non-monetary reasons and that varied tasks, the salary and career are do not primarily matters. The team spirit is strong, contrary to the perceived problems of the military organization. Despite a lot of commuting to and from their daily lives, the soldiers see their job as very important and stimulating. The respondents appear to such a great extent be shaped by their work situation that this noticeably affects them in their civilian identity work.

Rift Valley fever (RVF) is a mosquito-borne zoonotic disease endemic to Africa that presents a significant health threat to both humans and animals. Outbreaks have serious economical implications. Two facts cause concern. Firstly, recent outbreaks in the Arabian Peninsula and effects of global warming have the implication that the virus might spread further into non-endemic RVF regions since it utilizes a wide range of mosquito vetors. Secondly, RVFV is a potential bio-terrorism agent. Therefore, quick, safe, robust and cost-effective methods of detection and appropriate diagnostic reagents are needed for early diagnosis, disease surveillance and bio-defence field monitoring. The development of several effective ELlSAs for the detection of antibodies to RVFV have been reported (Paweska et al., 2003a, 2003b and 2005a; 2005b). A serious drawback of these ELlSAs is that they use an inactivated virus as antigen. The availability of a recombinant antigen would lower the safety risks of antigen preparation and the costs of diagnosis. The purpose of this study was to clone and express a recombinant RVFV nucleoprotein (N) from a southern African RVFV strain (Zim 688/78), and to evaluate its suitability as a diagnostic antigen in an ELISA for the detection of antibodies to RVFV in humans and animals. The gene encoding the N protein was amplified by RT-PCR using primers specifically designed to contain restriction enzyme sites for cloning. The nucleic acid sequence of the gene was determined and compared to that of the 7 other published N gene sequences of different strains. The N gene of the Zim688178 strain had 5 unique nucleic acid differences, all in wobble positions which did not cause amino acid changes. The nucleic acid sequence of the Zim688I78 strain was the closest related to the Clone1 3 strain (98.6%), and its amino acid sequence was identical to Clone 13. A fragment of the gene encoding the glycoprotein G2 was also amplified, its nucleic acid sequence was determined and compared to the published G2 sequences of other strains. The G2 fragment was closest related to the BEgy93 (98.7%), HEgy93 (98.7%) and ZH548 (98.7%) strains. The Zim688/78 N gene was cloned into two bacterial expression system vectors, pGEX4T-1 and pET32(a)+ and three baculovirus expression vectors, pFastBac-1, pFastBacHT-B and pBACgus-1. Low amounts of completely insoluble recombinant N protein (rN) were expressed by baculovirus recombinants generated using pFastBacHT-B. The expression level of rN using pFastBac-I was higher and rN was more soluble. These constructs, including the pBACgus-1 construct, was sent to Biovac (Pinelands, South Africa) for further optimization of baculovirus expression. Bacterial expression using the pGEX4T-1 vector resulted in a high yield of rN, but it was mostly insoluble. However, IPTG induced bacterial expression with the pET32(a)+ construct resulted in a high yield of soluble rN. The recombinant nucleoprotein was purified with Ni-affinity column purification, using the pET32(a)+ fusion tag with 6x His residues. The purified rN was of high quality and therefore it could be used for direct coating of immunoplates in indirect ELISA (I-ELI%). Various coating procedures were tested. Overnight coating in carbonatelbicarbonate buffer (pH 9.6) on a MaxiSorp (Nunc) plate gave the best results. The recombinant 5 nucleoprotein antigen based I-ELISA was used to measure IgG and IgM antibodies in titrated sera from vaccinated personnel and naturally infected humans respectively. The test was able to distinguish between sera with high and low concentrations of antibodies. The rN-based I-ELISA was also used to measure IgG and IgM antibody responses in vaccinated and experimentally infected sheep. The test was able to show seroconversion in both vaccinated and infected sheep, track the rise and decline of IgM antibodies and detect the expected lower levels of the immune response in sheep vaccinated with liveattenuated virus compared to that of sheep infected with wild type virus. The rN also proved to be suitable as an antigen in IgG sandwich and IgM capture ELlSA formats. The production of the RVFV rN under experimental procedures used was quick, easy, relatively inexpensive and safe. The findings of this project demonstrated that the recombinant is a high quality diagnostic antigen for use in I-ELISAs for the detection of antibodies in humans and animals.

In this study, our aim is to problematize the curriculum's core values through practical examples drawn from observations in children’s recreation centers. We want to examine the premises and common assumptions that are written up in the elementary school, pre-school and recreation center curriculum (Lgr11), in relation to current values on the ideal pupil and how these can be problematized. We do this by focusing on how children's acting space is limited by normative processes in the recreation center from a power perspective. Our empirical work consists of three excerpts in the Lgr11 values that we argue contains utopian premises and common assumptions; transferring basic values, articulate and convey, and from one generation to the next. We also point out two examples from the observations in a recreation center we have done for our B-level, where we indicate what we believe exemplifies the discrepancy we see between the school's practical activities and curriculum formulations. Through our theoretical framework consisting of conceptions in relation to age, power and democratic intentions, we have analyzed our material and found that the premises and common assumptions that are projected promote and maintain an asymmetric power relation in the relationship between teachers and students. The analysis also shows the importance of students' participation in values-oriented work, and the importance of discussing the meaning of the values that are put forward.
I detta självständiga arbete är vårt syfte är att problematisera läroplanens värdegrund genom praktiska exempel hämtade från observationer i fritidshemmet. Vi vill undersöka vilka premisser och förgivettaganden som uttrycks i Lgr11 gällande värderingar kring den ideala eleven och hur dessa kan problematiseras. Detta gör vi med fokus på hur barns handlingsutrymme begränsas via normativa processer i fritidshemmet utifrån ett maktperspektiv. Vår empiri består av tre utdrag ur Lgr11s värdegrund som vi menar innehåller utopiska premisser och förgivettaganden; överföra grundläggande värden, gestalta och förmedla samt från en generation till nästa, vilket vi kommer pröva med en teoretisk begreppsanalys. Vi redogör även för två exempel ur de observationer i ett fritidshem vi tidigare gjort till vår B-uppsats, där vi lyfter den diskrepans vi uppfattar finns mellan skolans praktiska verksamhet och läroplanens formuleringar. Genom vår teoretiska ram bestående av begrepp i relation till ålder, makt och demokratiska intentioner har vi analyserat vårt material och funnit att de premisser och förgivettaganden som uttrycks främjar och upprätthåller en asymmetrisk maktbalans i relationen mellan pedagoger och elever. Analysen visar även på vikten av elevers delaktighet vid värdegrundsarbete samt vikten av att diskutera innebörden i de värden som anses ska gälla.

Svensk media har under tidigare valkampanjer valt att inte uppmärksamma invandringsfientliga partier som Sverigedemokraterna i sin rapportering, men efter de senaste valframgångarna för partiet har media inte kunnat undvika det då nyhetsintresset kring partiet varit stort. Sverigedemokraterna var inför 2010 års val en del av den svenska mediala arenan med en ständig debatt kring partiets kontroversiella politik.I den här uppsatsen undersöktes hur rapporteringen av Sverigedemokraterna skedde i lokalpress veckan efter valet 2010 och på vilket sätt partiet gestaltades i en jämförande studie med Socialdemokraterna. Vi valde att titta närmare på tre kommuner på olika geografiska områden i landet där stödet för Sverigedemokraterna var högt efter valet 2010. De tre lokaltidningarna på dessa områden är Söderhamn-Kuriren, Borlänge Tidning och Kristianstadsbladet.Vi inledde studien med en kvantitativ innehållsanalys av samtliga artiklar i tidningarna under den aktuella tidsperioden för att räkna förekomsten av artiklar där partierna omnämndes samt var huvudaktörer i. I den kvantitativa studien undersökte vi även på vilket sätt partiet gestaltades i artiklarnas olika delar. Den andra delen av studien utgick från resultatet i den kvantitativa delen och var av kvalitativ karaktär. Där valde vi ut sex artiklar utifrån de mest förekommande gestaltningarna och genomförde en analys av dess delar; rubrik, ingress och brödtext.Resultatet av vår undersökning visade att spelgestaltningen var den mest förekommande gestaltningen av de båda partierna men även att sakgestaltningen var vanligare i rapporteringen av Sverigedemokraterna än av Socialdemokraterna. Samtidigt framställdes Sverigedemokraterna som valets vinnare medan Socialdemokraterna många gånger framställdes som valets förlorare. Resultatet visade även att de gånger Sverigedemokraterna stod med i artiklar som omtalat parti fick de publicitet av negativ karaktär.

L’objectif principal de cette étude est d’améliorer les connaissances sur le système aquifère de la basse vallée du Var, principale ressource d’eau potable dans une région soumise à des influences méditerranéennes et alpines. La composition des éléments majeurs et traces, des isotopes de l’O, du Pb et du Sr a été déterminée à différentes périodes hydrologiques dans les eaux du fleuve Var, de ses affluents, de la nappe alluviale de la basse vallée, et des aquifères des calcaires jurassiques et des poudingues pliocènes, qui constituent le substratum des alluvions. Les concentrations mesurées sont souvent proches du fond géochimique naturel, ce qui fournit pour chaque type d’eaux un point de référence de la qualité et permet, grâce à la sensibilité de la mesure des traces, de détecter la moindre pollution émergente. Des pollutions agricoles et / ou domestiques ont été détectées, en particulier dans les eaux des poudingues, ceci même en profondeur. Le fleuve constitue la principale source d’alimentation de la nappe alluviale, essentiellement à l’amont de la vallée. La recharge de la nappe par l’aquifère des poudingues représente 20 % environ, ce qui est inférieur aux estimations précédentes. L’utilisation conjointe des éléments traces et majeurs met en évidence l’hétérogénéité des eaux des poudingues, et permet d’évaluer les proportions de mélange. L’alimentation de la nappe par les calcaires semble faible. La forte influence chimique des évaporites triasiques limite l’utilisation des isotopes du Sr comme marqueur d’origine des eaux. Les isotopes du Pb ont fourni des résultats complexes qui semblent montrer une origine à la fois naturelle et anthropique, cette dernière apparemment liée aux pluies. Les isotopes du Ra ont été utilisés afin d’estimer le temps de parcours dans la nappe alluviale. La faisabilité analytique de la méthode semble acquise. Malgré d’importants échanges avec le milieu traversé, l’utilisation des rapports isotopiques semble s’affranchir de certains processus complexes
The main goal of this study is to improve the knowledge of the Lower Var Valley aquifers, under both Mediterranean and Alpine influences. Majors, trace elements, and O, Sr and Pb isotopes have been analysed under various hydrological conditions in water of the Low Var Valley including the alluvial aquifer, the Var River, its tributaries and groundwaters from Jurassic limestones and Pliocene conglomerates, which are the substrate of alluvia. Concentrations of most majors and trace elements are often close to the natural background, which gives a baseline quality of waters. High sensitivity in trace element measurement may allow to early detect contamination in any water body. Agricultural and / or residential contaminations have been detected in limestone and above all in conglomerate groundwater. The Var River is the main source of water of the alluvial aquifer, especially in upstream part. Conglomerate groundwater inputs stand for about 20 % of alluvial water recharge, which is lower than previously estimated. The use of both major and trace elements gives evidences of high heterogeneity in conglomerate groundwater and leads to estimate the proportions of inputs to the alluvial aquifer. Recharge of the alluvial aquifer by Jurassic limestones seems to be significant. Strong influence of Triassic evaporates in most samples gives limitation to the use of strontium isotopes as tracers of water origin. Pb isotopes gave complex results, which could suggest both a natural origin and an anthropogenic one that could be related to rainwater. Radium isotopes were used to estimate the flow velocity in the alluvial aquifer. Several techniques demonstrate the analytical feasibility of this approach and despite important exchanges with aquifer matrix, the use of isotopic ratios apparently minimizes the effect of complex processes

Ce travail a pour objet l'etude de cette vallee dans un 17e siecle elargi, entre 1598 (paix franco-espagnole, edit de nantes, mort de philippe 2) et 1720 environ (fin des guerres du debut du 18e siecle, fin de l'epoque de louis 14, accession d'un bourbon sur le trone d'espagne), siecle de crises politiques et militaires entre les deux monarchies qui encadrent la vallee. La premiere partie est consacree a l'analyse des specificites aranaises : geographie, question linguistique, enjeux pour la domination avant le 17e siecle, pouvoirs (institutions autonomes et royales), frontiere(s), conflits dans la societe, economie, privileges. La deuxieme partie s'articule autour des deux grands conflits de la periode : soulevement catalan de 1640 (guerre des segadors) et guerre de succession d'espagne (aspects militaires, exil des pro-castillans vaincus en 1643, traite des pyrenees -1659- qui ne remet pas en cause la dependance espagnole de l'aran, decret de nueva planta -reorganisation, en 1716, de la catalogne vaincue-). The vale of aran, on the northern side of the pyrenees (garonne has its source), where the langue d'oc is spoken, belonged to the diocese of comminges until the beginning of the 19th century, under the sovereignty of spain : its geopolitical situation is complex. The goal of this work is to study that valley in the 17th century and beyond, between 1598 (french-spanish peace treaty, edict of nantes, death of philip 2) and about 1720 (end of the early 18th century wars, end of the era of louis 14, accession of a bourbon to the throne of spain), century of political and military crises between the two monarchies by which the valley was surrounded. The first part is devoted to the analysis of the characteristics of the vale : geography, linguistic question, issue of its domination before the 17th century, powers (autonomous and royal institutions), border(s), conflicts within its society, economy. The second part is based on the two important conflicts : catalan uprising in 1640 (war of the segadors) and war for the succession of spain : military angle, exile of the pro-castilians who were defeated, treaty of the pyrenees (1659), decree of nueva planta (1716). The third part deals with the evolution of aran in the fields of its population (celibacy, emigration), its powers (strengthening of the monarchy, commitment of the local elites) and its economy. During the war of succession of spain, the treaties of lies and passeries - allowing the relations between the valleys of different kingdoms although the latter were at war - were suspended. That was a decisive measure against the age-old rights of those border populations : the political border has been more present in the everyday life and the vale has been moving towards in the new spanish kingdom unified by the bourbons

Il sistema carsico dei Piani Eterni e la Valle del Mis si trovano in provincia di Belluno, all'interno del parco Nazionale delle Dolomiti Bellunesi. Questi due sistemi geologici sono attualmente in fase di studio e la presente tesi, ha come scopo la correlazione tra i livelli paleo-freatici di grotta dei Piani Eterni e le superfici a bassa pendenza (terrazzi glaciali, kame e superfici di spianamento) dell'adiacente Val del Mis. L'elaborato è stato sviluppato prevalentemente su ArcMap (Gis) e su Excel, mentre su Datagraph sono stati ottenuti i grafici che mostrano i confronti altimetrici e quantitativi tra condotte e superfici. I risultati ottenuti dalla fase di analisi della tesi, mostrano che le correlazioni sono evidenti e grazie alle datazione U-Th di alcuni speleotemi del sistema carsico, sono state avanzate sia una ipotetica ricostruzione dell'antico reticolo di drenaggio della Valle del Mis, sia la causa per la quale questo drenaggio, attualmente, si presenti in maniera estremamente diversa da quello passato.

Le vin est certainement le produit auquel se refere le plus la notion de terroir. Des travaux anterieurs ont decrit un effet terroir en moyenne vallee de la loire qui s'exprime au travers de la qualite des vins rouges. Les criteres qui y sont associes sont relatifs a l'intensite et a l'equilibre des vins. Ils incluent notamment la couleur et l'astringence, respectivement imputables aux anthocyanes et aux tanins, flavonoides majeurs des raisins et des vins rouges. Dans cette etude, a partir d'un reseau de 17 parcelles du saumurois et de l'anjou connues sur le plan geo-pedologique, nous avons caracterise les compositions en flavonoides des baies et des vins du cepage cabernet franc, au cours de deux millesimes successifs. Les anthocyanes et les flavonols ont ete doses par clhp et les tanins analyses par clhp apres thiolyse. Toutes les donnees ont ete traitees au moyen d'analyses statistiques multifactorielles. Nos resultats montrent que la composition phenolique des baies est liee a leur etat de maturite, qui depend a la fois du millesime et du terroir. Ils indiquent l'existence d'une relation entre la composition des baies et celle des vins, qui apparait donc aussi lie au terroir et au millesime. Cette relation peut etre perturbee par l'etat sanitaire de la vendange ou modifiee par les conditions de vinification. Nous avons ensuite etudie les relations entre composition et caracteres sensoriels des vins et compare les proprietes gustatives d'extraits de tanins d'origines et de structures differentes. Nous avons ainsi montre que les tanins de pellicule et ceux des pepins sont egalement astringents mais que les seconds sont plus amers. Les pigments polymeriques, dont la formation dans les vins est favorisee par les rapports anthocyanes / tanins eleves, semblent moins astringents et pourraient etre a l'origine du caractere tanins fondus, l'astringence etant liee a la teneur en tanins.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur elever uppfattar ämnet samt att påvisa ämnets användbarhet i arbetet med värdegrunden i skolan.Uppsatsens frågeställningar är:- Vad uppfattar elever i åldrarna 11-14 att undervisningsämnet pedagogiskt drama är?- Hur uppfattar eleverna att lektionerna med pedagogiskt drama har varit?- Hur förhåller sig denna uppfattning till värdegrunden i skolan?Metoden för arbetet är reflexiva intervjuer med enskilda elever samt parintervjuer. Tillämpningen utgår från en hermenutisk fenomenografisk induktiv metod där fokus ligger på den mening ett fenomen har för en grupp.Vi utgår ifrån de centrala dramapedagogiska perspektiven och förstärker dessa med verksamhetsteorin. Under arbetets gång sker hos författarna en reflektionsprocess, vilken påverkar arbets-sättet och utfallet. Denna process beskrivs ingående i uppsatsen. Vi ställde frågor relaterade till det utvecklingsarbete som eleverna tidigare hade deltagit i. Vidare tillverkades en analysnyckel för att kunna göra elevernas utsagor till beskrivningskategorier. Detta utifrån texter som beskiver fenomenografi. Sedan letade vi efter kategorier med skilda sätt att erfara pedagogiskt drama. För att göra tolkningen mer reliabel analyserade vi materialet var för sig för att senare jämföra våra resultat. Slutligen nådde vi samförstånd i tolkningen. Vi hittade icke-betonade och betonade kategorier och urskiljde fem normerande beskrivningskategorier; roligt, lär sig, känslor, trygghet och samarbete. Vi jämför vår uppfattning av vad pedagogiskt drama har för mål med elevernas uppfattning av vad pedagogiskt drama är, genom de normerande beskrivningskategorierna. Något tillspetsat uttrycker eleverna att pedagogiskt drama hjälper dem att stå ut under resten av skol-arbetet. Resultatet visar också att den modell av vad pedagogiskt drama är som lyfts i början av uppsatsen; tanke och känsla/handling finns i elevernas svar som reflektion, lär sig om känslor, kreativitet respektive kul, trygghet och samarbete. En viktig aspekt för eleverna har varit att pedagogiskt drama har hjälpt dem att koncentrera sig på andra lektioner samt att de gett och fått energi under lektionerna. ”När man gör roliga lekar så får man liksom upp energi och då blir det liksom lättare sen”. (ie. 3).Den dramapedagogiska ansatsen märks i elevernas uppfattning av vad pedagogiskt drama är och den demokratiska fostransansatsen finns tydligt i deras svar. De nämner bl.a. att om man inte brukar vara utanför vet man inte hur det känns och sådana känslor har de prövat i pedagogiskt drama. Intervjuerna med eleverna visar också att eleverna själva är experter på sin socio-kulturella miljö och att de rollspel som de arbetar fram utifrån sina egna tankar och erfarenheter blir både meningsfulla och realistiska. Eleverna uppfattar att pedagogiskt drama ger dem stor möjlighet till delaktighet och att alla får komma till tals. De ger uttryck för att det fanns en respektfull stämning på lektionerna och att de fick växa med uppgifterna. Detta stämmer väl med värdegrunden och vi tolkar det som om eleverna genom pedagogiskt drama ser värdegrunden som ett naturligt tillstånd.Genom arbetsprocessen ifrågasattes invanda tankar och mönster, hos pedagogerna, och den egna arbetsvardagen blev synlig. Reflektion kommer, därför, i framtiden att vara ett mer synligt verktyg i det dramapedagogiska arbetet.

Later the analyses were compared and five normative categories appeared. The pupils' perceptions of pedagogic drama are suggested by such terms as: having fun, learning, co-operation, safety and emotions. The connection to fundamental values appears in the pupils' discussions inte their co-operating and helping each othe and their being able to stand for their believe.Future:A stong democracy demands pupils thar are aware of the system. Pupils need instruments that will enable them to influence the future. For pedagogic drama to be an effecitve instument for education in democracy and fundamental values pupils must be aware of ghe purpose of pedagogic drama exercieses. Therefore more reflection in pedagogic drama i needed.

The Swedish labour market is facing major challenges with regard to supply of skilled staff and recruitment of new employees. This concerns especially the welfare sector where an important group to attract is nurses. The purpose of this study is to elucidate what factors students in the nursing program at Umeå University value as important in future employers.The results from this study could be of value for the organisations to take into account; also,for employer branding. To find this out, an internet-based questionnaire was sent out via email to the nursing students attending semester 4–6. Based on the answers received, it is shown that the nursing students at Umeå University value social work environment, a high salary and good leadership as the three most important in future employment. High wages were equally valued between the genders but all the other areas where more highly valued by women. This study shows similarities to previous research within the field and how it looks today in the nursing profession, that is the soft and post-materialistic values where highly valued. What contradicts,and even makes this study unique, is that the nursing students also valued the materialistic values a safe and secure employment and a high salary as an incredibly important factor in their future professional life. To attract these students future employers has to offer a good social work environment where they can have fun with colleagues and ask for help if needed. They must also be given an adequate salary that corresponds to what their work actually entails.

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att skapa en ökad förståelse för vad Generation Y i Sverige upplever vara ett meningsfullt arbete. Vårt resultat ämnar till att bli en modell som kan öka förståelsen för hur meningsfullt arbete kan uppnås ur Generation Y:s perspektiv på arbetsplatsen. Metod: En intervjustudie som behandlar generationsforskning ur ett individ- och organisationsperspektiv. Studien har genomförts med en induktiv forskningsansats och en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi. Slutsats: I vår studie framkom det att Generation Y i Sverige till viss del har andra förväntningar på arbetsplatser än utländsk forskning på Generation Y. Vi fann att Generation Y i Sverige upplever meningsfullt arbete genom sammansättningen av arbetet med arbetsmiljö, trygghet, trivsel, ledarskap, lojalitet och motivation. Resultatet av vad Generation Y i Sverige upplever vara ett meningsfullt arbete utmynnade i en modell som visar hur meningsfullt arbete kan främjas av arbetsgivare.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of how Generation Y in Sweden experiences meaningful work. The results of the study aims to create a model that will increase the understanding of how meaningful work can be created at the workplace from Generation Y:s perspective. Methodology: An interview study that addresses the topic of generational research from an individual and organizational perspective. The study was conducted with an inductive research approach and a qualitative research method. Conclusions: Our study found that there are some differences within workplace expectations between Generation Y in Sweden and foreign research on Generation Y. Generation Y in Sweden experiences meaningful work through a composition of work environment, employment security, well-being at work, leadership, loyalty, and motivation. The results of this study developed a model that shows how employers can promote meaningful work.

The aim of this study was to, in collaboration with a municipality in Central Sweden, carry out a study on the municipality's work regarding their employer brand and the experience of an attractive employer. This has been examined from the perspective of the employer and the employees. The study was conducted with a qualitative method and was based on semi-structured interviews. Data was analyzed using an inductive thematic analysis. In the result, various themes emerged from each question. The themes that emerged regarding how the municipality works with its employer brand were the Municipality's brand and the overall Values. The themes that emerged about the issue of what characterizes an attractive employer according to the employees were Colleagues and supportive managers, Work environment and security, Personal development, Opportunity to influence, change and contribute, Staff welfare, Communication and structure, and Orientation. The themes that emerged according to the municipality's representatives were Supportive managers and communication, Personal development and the opportunity to influence, and Work content. The employer's and employees' perception of an attractive employer turned out to have many common themes. However, the employees highlighted additional themes. The themes present in the study for being an attractive employer matched well with the view of a strong employer brand, which strengthened the purpose of the study.

The topic of this essay is core value issues, how they are mediated in school and how they are practiced. I am investigating a problem concerning the existential worth of the core values-content for children, or in other words, the difficulty of reconciling the theory of the core values and their practice. This problem is portrayed by two stories. The aim of this work is to investigate how to combine the core values theory with its practice, in other words, make it meaningful. In my essay, I turn to recent research in the field to provide a background to my issue, and hereby further point to my problem. To further deepen the understanding of the problem, I use the professor and educator Eugene Matusov´s theory of dialogic pedagogy. Matusov, much inspired by Bahktin, asserts that all human communication is inherently dialogic. Based on this thesis I have tried to understand my problem and examine what possible solutions Matusov can contribute with. What I have found is that core values practice, here illustrated by my stories and current research, is problematic because it very much is program-based. This tends to lead to correcting children's behavior through actions and prevention against bullying and abusive actions. This becomes the core values practice. Instead I argue based Matusov´s theory, that the core values practice ​​should rather have a broad democracy and community focus where norms, societal discourses and structures are examined in a joint effort. I also argue that meaning making and learning can, and aught to, be promoted through dialogic pedagogy.

Le présent travail propose une analyse des changements d'occupation des sols et de l'intensification de l'agriculture sur les communautés animales ou végétales des plaines alluviales. L'arrivée dans les dix dernières années du peuplier (populus sp. ) a contribué à modifier fortement ces paysages ouverts, en s'installant essentiellement dans des secteurs en déprise agricole. Le terrain d'étude choisi est le val de Saône inondable, ou alternent de grandes unités homogènes de prairies avec des unités hétérogènes, fragmentées par la présence de cultures et des plantations de peupliers. Les peupleraies étudiées présentent une avifaune caractéristique de stades forestiers jeunes, avec des effets de lisière internes ou externes marqués, permettant la présence d'espèces de milieux semi-ouverts. Les espèces forestières sont systématiquement moins abondantes, laissant supposer des phénomènes de maladaptation pour ces espèces dans ces habitats fortement anthropisés. A l'échelle du paysage, la fragmentation des unités prairiales par la présence d'éléments boisés affecte fortement l'ensemble des espèces prairiales nichant à terre et favorise la présence d'espèces généralistes. Enfin, l'étude des groupements végétaux au sein de ces plantations montre une hétérogénéité plus marquée entre plantations qu'entre placettes de forêts alluviales, illustrant le fait que la perturbation engendrée lors de la plantation se retrouve au stade adulte. D'autre part, l'analyse de la dispersion des graines indique une recolonisation essentiellement assurée par les oiseaux ou les mammifères confirmant les effets de lisière vus lors de l'analyse des peuplements aviens. Ce travail illustre ainsi différentes approches possibles de l'analyse de l'impact de ces nouveaux éléments boisés dans les espaces ouverts de plaine, et il ressort que cette analyse doit s'effectuer en fonction des alternatives possibles d'utilisation des sols au sein de ces vallées.

Pourquoi les acteurs publics locaux mobilisent-ils le paysage pour parler de et penser leur territoire ? Est-ce seulement le fruit d'une traduction descendante d'injonctions venues de l'Etat ? La thèse montre comment le paysage participe parfois à une stratégie de projet spécifique et singulière, dans un processus de reterritorialisation. L'analyse s'appuie sur l'étude de trois villes moyennes de la vallée de Loire, Blois, Nevers et Saumur. La méthode croise plusieurs disciplines issues de la géographie, de l'analyse paysagère mais aussi de la sociologique des organisations ou encore de la philosophie. La thèse apporte ainsi de nouveaux éléments sur la manière dont le paysage est appréhendé localement, s'il peut répondre à une stratégie organisée et s'il porte d'autres objectifs plus sectorisés. La recherche ouvre finalement sur une question d'actualité qui mérite d'être interrogée : quelle est la part politique du paysage ? En quoi la prise en compte du paysage favorise de nouveaux modes de définition de territoires ? Cette réflexion amène conjointement à interroger l'évolution politique des territoire, notamment le rôle politique des communautés d'agglomération.

Min vetenskapliga essä har som utgångspunkt en händelse då en pojke valde att bryta mot gängse könsrollstänkande. Pojken ville i en lek ha den kvinnliga huvudrollen, vilket motarbetades av några av de andra barnen. Det innebar för oss pedagoger att vi måste hitta en väg där vi beaktade pojkens önskemål utan att avfärda kamraternas. I min essä redogör jag hur vi pedagoger arbetade för att nå fram till ett förhållningssätt som gagnade såväl barn, pedagoger som föräldrar. Essän utgår från följande tre frågeställningar: Hur ska pedagogerna förhålla sig i arbetet med genusfrågor på förskolan? Vad har kamratkulturer för påverkan gällande könsroller i förskolan? Hur samverkar förskolan med hemmet i arbetet med genus? Essän är inspirerad av teorier om "härskartekniker" som beskriver hur vi människor stöter på dagligen under olika sammanhang. Härskartekniker används av vuxna såväl som barn oavsett kön. Med syfte att skaffa sig makt genom att trycka ner andra. I min händelse ser vi hur barn använde denna teknik mot varandra för att styra i leken. En annan viktig teori för essän är den om lekens betydelse som belyser hur barn i leken skapar relationer i samspel. Leken ger också utrymme att hantera olika konflikter samt utvecklar självkänsla och identitet. Jag har genom litteraturen fått många idéer om hur jag som pedagog kan arbeta med berörda frågor. Jag har också insett att någon "slutlösning" inte finns- och inte heller bör finnas. Allt genus och jämställdhetsarbete i förskolan går ut på in lyssnande och dialog. Målet är att sträva mot att uppnå acceptans för allas val och att könet inte avgör vem som gör något.

The focus of this study is to suggest guidelines for the implementation of a character education program in high schools. It has become clearly evident, from the literature that character education is of cardinal importance for instruction and education. The breakdown of values in South Africa is leading to an increase in crime in the country, which will have far-reaching consequences if learner crime is not addressed. Character education could offer a possible solution and make learners realise the difference between "right" and "wrong" as well as to say "no" to drugs, alcohol, sex, gangs and other social problems. A literature study was done to highlight the nature and scope of behaviour problems in overseas schools as well as South African schools. There was also looked at the impact of violence on the culture of instruction and learning as well as the external and internal factors that can play a role in violence within schools. Furthermore, the concept of character education was investigated as well as character education as possible solution to behavioural problems in high schools. There was also looked at whether character education does indeed produce positive results. Different character education programs that have already been implemented successfully abroad were investigated. Smart & Good High Schools seem suitable for the South African situation and could easily be adapted to the circumstances of individual schools. This program ascribes to the view that the best high schools have two main objectives in common, namely: to help learners to become smart - in the multi-dimensional sense of intelligence - and to help them become good - in the multi-dimensional sense of moral maturity. It is, therefore, about excellence and ethics. Lickona and Davidson (2005) mention schools that are committed to both these objectives, Smart & Good High Schools. Guidelines for the implementation of a character education program arose from discussing the program. In order to determine in what areas character education are needed with learners; how parents evaluate the character education of the learners of the school; what teachers are presently doing to promote character education; and how the learners' values changed within the scope of six months, questionnaire surveys were used. Questionnaires were given to learners wherein they had to judge their own values and that of their fellow learners. Questionnaires were given to parents asking their opinions on the values currently displayed by learners of the relevant school; what parents would like see with the learners; the character traits of the learners; and which traits the school should promote. Questionnaires were also distributed to the teachers of the school to determine to what extent particular promising practices are being pursued to promote character education with learners. A test sample of Grade 8 to 12 learners also filled out a revised questionnaire to determine to what extent these practices were indeed being applied in the classroom. The primary objective of the survey was to determine the character education practices of a particular high school in the North-West Province and to suggest guidelines for the implementation of a character education program. The empirical survey aided in achieving this objective. Findings of some concern, within the scope of six months, related to the general deterioration in the behaviour/habits of the learners at the school, inter alia the number of learners who smoke, drink, are aware of those who use drugs as well an increase in learners who tested positive for HIV/AIDS. In addition, almost half the learners indicated that they find it difficult to say "no" to negative peer pressure. It has been concluded that character education in schools offer a definite solution and that such a program can be integrated effectively into the existing curriculum.

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The introduction deals with the research proposal. The thesis is a practical-theological study dealing with human dignity and the missional vocation of the Gamtoosvalley Uniting Reformed Church in Southern-Africa. The research question asks: How do you guide members of a typical small, poor, rural congregation, caught in maintenance to discover human dignity in Christ and how are they transformed to focus missionally on God’s agenda for their community? Chapter 2 is a context-analysis where demographic information confirms poverty. The question is asked whether members can stay positive and develop hope for an alternative reality for themselves and their community. Chapter 3 is an identity analysis describing how the identity and culture of the congregation and its community was shaped in history. Chapter 4 outlines the present profile of the congregation. In this chapter the secret to hope and human dignity is described in what happened in the community when some members through the power of the Holy Spirit became missionally engaged. The fifth chapter is a literature study that outlines the theological theory about God as a Trinity that serves as a template for ecclesiology and anthropology. The chapter proves the importance of the imago Dei concept for human dignity and the importance of relationships. When people experience a living relationship with God and discover their vocation in and through Jesus Christ, human dignity is restored. Chapter 6 deals with transformation. It links to the missio Dei concept and describes a strategy for the transformation process. The last chapter focuses on leadership development for the pastor and church council and how they and the church members should be take on a missional journey. The conclusions confirm the hypothesis. When some of the members discovered a missional calling and experienced the powerful guidance of the Holy Spirit in their lives, they got involved in reaching out to “the stranger” in their midst. This led to the affirmation of their dignity and created hope for a new and better future.

Dit is ʼn prakties-teologiese studie wat handel oor die menswaardigheid en missionale roeping van die VGKSA Gamtoosvallei se lidmate. Magazine readers in South Africa have a wide choice: there are more than 188 consumer magazines on the shelf and this gives readers the opportunity to choose what they like. However, there are very few Afrikaans Christian magazines and they have to compete commercially with the other publications. The question that arises is how these magazines manage to maintain a Christian character while at the same time staying competitive. In an attempt to answer this question, this study investigates the covers and contents of Finesse, Lig and Lééf. A literature study was used to determine which features and approaches can be used to make a Christian magazine's agenda (and therefore approach) unique. A qualitative content analysis is used to investigate how the covers and contents of Finesse, Lig and Lééf correlate with what one associates with Christian journalism, and how these magazines differ from one another in this regard. All these findings are compared with the biggest Afrikaans women's magazine, Sarie, to identify correspondences and differences. Semi-structured interviews were also held with the editors of Finesse, Lig and Lééf. Specific directive arguments were formulated about the features of Christian journalism and about agenda setting and the role of magazine covers. These specific directive arguments were used as a guideline in the content analysis. It was found that all four publications in question use well-known personalities (like actresses, singers and sports stars) as cover models. However, there are differences in the way the covers are presented and framed. Ug and Leer give noticeably more attention to the spiritual lives of their models, and as a result these magazines have clear features that can be associated with Christian journalism. Signs of the so-called "celebrity" culture were particularly evident in the covers and contents of Finesse and Sarie. In summary, it may be argued that Ug and Leer (which are outspoken Christian publications) strongly display their Christian character. On the other hand, Finesse (who views itself not as a Christian publication but as a lifestyle publication for the Christian woman) less consistently displays a Christian character. There is a strong distinction between Lig and Lééf and the secular Sarie, whereas Finesse displays more correspondences with Sarie.

I grundskolan är svenska som andraspråk ett behovsprövat ämne där rektorn avgör vilka elever som ska läsa svenska som andraspråk. På gymnasiet skiftar ansvaret från rektorerna till eleverna då det är upp till eleverna själva att välja svenskämne, det vill säga att välja mellan att läsa svenska eller svenska som andraspråk. Vår uppsats har som syfte att lyfta fram vilken information som finns tillgänglig, för berörda elever på gymnasiet, inför detta val. Vi har även som syfte att undersöka hur eleverna upplever valet av svenskämne och hur deras upplevelse samspelar med de rättigheter som tillskrivs eleverna i Läroplanen för gymnasieskolan (Gy11) och i Gymnasieförordningen. Våra resultat visar att en stor andel av de elever som deltagit i vår undersökning har bristande kunskaper gällande valet mellan svenska och svenska som andraspråk på gymnasiet. Elever uttrycker även att de inte vet vad det är för skillnader mellan svenskämnena, att de inte fått någon information gällande valet av svenskämne och i vissa fall visar våra resultat att berörda elever är ovetande om att de har rätten att välja svenskämne på gymnasiet.

Tendo em vista a questão de como formar uma personalidade ética, o objetivo deste trabalho foi o de realizar uma investigação teórica visando à compreensão de como se desenvolvem dois aspectos que compõem tal formação: a moral e a cognição. Buscou-se ainda comparar as semelhanças entre esses aspectos e observar intervenções pedagógicas que propiciassem o desenvolvimento de ambos. Para o estudo do desenvolvimento moral, analisaram-se os trabalhos do psicólogo americano Lawrence Kohlberg, que baseou sua investigação nos estudos de Dewey e Piaget, aprimorando uma sequência de etapas pelas quais as pessoas passam em sua formação. Além disso, o psicólogo e seus colaboradores pesquisaram quais condições favoreciam esse avanço de forma a propiciar que níveis mais elevados de desenvolvimento fossem atingidos. Para o estudo dos aspectos cognitivos de tal questão, buscou-se um autor holandês, que elaborou, na área da matemática, um modelo para o desenvolvimento do pensar geométrico: Pierre van Hiele. Apesar de ele ter elaborado um modelo específico para o pensar geométrico, afirma ser possível utilizar esse modelo para o estudo da cognição em outras áreas do conhecimento, não se restringindo apenas à geometria. Ao se compararem as semelhanças entre os dois estudos, foram observados elementos comuns a ambos, entre eles, a necessidade de se favorecer a ocorrência de conflitos cognitivos para o avanço de uma etapa à outra. A partir da semelhança das teorias, buscaram-se ações possíveis de aplicação em sala de aula que propiciassem esses desenvolvimentos de forma eficaz. Quanto às intervenções pedagógicas, foi destacado o diálogo a conversação, a argumentação e a discussão de dilemas morais como condição favorável em sala de aula. Verificou-se que a conversação apresenta o ganho de propiciar que os pensamentos dos alunos fiquem mais claros pela explicitação de suas ideias, além de enriquecer seu repertório a partir da visão alheia; a argumentação acresce, aos proveitos da conversação, a tomada de decisão, pois exige do aluno o posicionamento e uma escolha; a discussão de dilemas morais acrescenta, às intervenções anteriores, o benefício do trabalho com os valores pessoais de cada um e da exigência de uma hierarquização desses valores. Essas intervenções buscam o aumento do nível de consciência dos alunos, essencial para a formação da personalidade ética.
Aiming at forming an ethical personality, this paper carries out a theoretical investigation designed to understand how to develop two aspects that make up such formation: morality and cognition. It also compares the similarities between these aspects and the observed pedagogical interventions that provide for the development of both such aspects. For the study of moral development, the American psychologist Lawrence Kohlbergs work was looked into. He based his research on the studies of Dewey and Piaget, by improving a sequence of stages through which people undergo their formation. In addition the psychologist and his colleagues investigated what conditions favored this advance in order to allow for higher levels of development. In order to study the cognitive aspects of this question, Pierre van Hiele, a Dutch author in the field of mathematics, was studied. He developed a model for the development of geometric thinking. Although this author has prepared a specific model for geometric thinking, he claims one should be able to apply it to cognition studies not only in Geometry but also in regard with other fields. When comparing the similarities between the two studies, elements common to both were observed - among them the need to enable cognitive conflicts to advance from one stage to another. Based on the similarity of theories, the paper looked into other possible actions for implementation in the classroom that could effectively provide such development. Regarding the pedagogical interventions, dialogue (conversation, argument and debate on moral dilemmas) was highlighted as a favorable condition in the classroom. One observes that conversation includes the benefit to provide for clearer thoughts on the part of the students when elucidating their ideas. Also, it enriches their repertoire based on the view of others. To the advantage of conversation, argument adds decision making, for it requires the student\'s attitude and choice. And, to the previous interventions, debating moral dilemmas adds the benefit of working with the personal values of each one and of the requirement of a hierarchy of those values. These interventions seek to increase the level of students awareness, which is essential for the formation of the ethical personality.

Abstract:
This study ”What’s does the local news contain? - an analysis of a week’s local journalism on the web in Västerbotten, Sweden” examines the different discourses in the local journalism of newspapers and public service media. The aim is to find what makes the local news with the use of a quantitative content analysis combined with a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA).The study uses a theoretical framework that includes theories surrounding agenda setting, the power of the media, local journalism, news values and web based journalism. For the quantitative content analysis the online text tool Textometrica was used.The analysis found that the local news mainly consisted of news regarding sports and negative news such as crime, accidents and court cases. It also found that the local news mainly focused on a small part of the municipality of Västerbotten in its news coverage, where the biggest city in the region was of the most interest. When other parts were covered it was mostly for sport events or negative news. The qualitative analysis also found that there was a high frequency of updates on the websites and non-local news that made it into the local news due to being sensational. A difference between the newspapers and the public service media was also found where the papers focused more on local debates and public service media wasn’t as tied to earlier theories regarding news values.The study could also state that the content of the local media during the week differed from what is said to be good journalism and also what is said to be the journalistic responsibility that citizens rely on to make democratic decisions.

Abstract:
Syftet med studien är att utifrån en didaktisk teori jämföra hur fyra förskollärare beskriver att de tillämpar förskolans värdegrund i den fria leken, med särskilt fokus på jämställdhet. Till syftet har följande två frågeställningar konkretiserats; Hur beskriver förskollärare att de inkluderar ett jämställdhetsperspektiv i den fria leken? och Vilka utmaningar lyfter förskollärare gällande att inkludera ett jämställdhetsperspektiv i den fria leken?. Studien har utgått ifrån en kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer.  I studiens resultat framkommer det att förskollärarna beskriver inkludering av ett jämställdhetsperspektiv i den fria leken på varierande sätt. Både vad gäller att inkludera det vid strukturering av den fysiska miljön likväl som genom sin egen delaktighet i den fria leken. Några av de strategier som lyfts fram är att använda genusneutralt material och att göra materiella tillägg i genusstereotypa lekar. Med det sistnämda menas bland annat att introducera barnen för nya leksaker, vilka de spontant inte väljer att använda själva, för att bidra till variationer i deras lekar. Ytterligare metoder som anges är att som förskollärare agera omvänt gentemot stereotypa föreställningar om könen samt att verbalt tydliggöra att alla leksaker är för både pojkar och flickor. En metod som samtliga förskollärare lyfter är att de diskuterar med barnen när de uttrycker stereotypa genusföreställningar, som exempelvis att rosa är en tjejfärg. Vad gäller hur stor plats barnens egna intresse ska få respektive hur stor påverkan förskollärarna ska ha på den fria leken gav förskollärarna olika svar. De har olika syn på hur barnens möjligheter till att leka på jämställda villkor påverkas av att barnens intressen får vara styrande i den fria leken. Några av förskollärarna upplever det som en utmaning att finna en balans mellan barnens inflytande och sin påverkan vad gäller att inkludera ett jämställdhetsperspektiv. Andra ser utmaningar gällande att leva upp till sina valda jämställdhets-strategier. Angående det lyfts exempelvis svårigheten i att säkerställa att man inte omedvetet förmedlar genusstereotypa föreställningar till barnen. Ytterligare lyfter förskollärarna att organisatoriska villkor, som till exempel tidsbrist, utgör utmaningar för att inkludera ett jämställdhetsperspektiv i den fria leken.
