Abstract There are two commodities in this model, a composite consumption good, x, and labour service, y, for example, the time spent at work. All individuals have the same preference ordering, which is represented by a cardinal utility function u(x,y). The market buys efficiency labour, not labour time itself, and individuals although they are identical in preferences vary in their productivity ability to supply labour. Every individual possesses a specific ability (=marginal productivity) n. Ability is distributed in the population according to the density function f(n).

This is because these experimental approaches average out the heterogeneities across the largely native bulk nucleosome and chromatin samples, as well as any fluctuations in the structure over time. Most notably, the model of the nucleosome rarely includes the long N-terminal and short C-terminal ‘tails’ of the histones, which are

Abstract:
Improving the performance of x-ray multilayer structures hinges on accurate determination and control of the details of interfaces between material pairs. Surface analysis tools, such as RHEED, LEED, Auger, XPS, AFM, and STM, are appropriate for the study of interfaces on a sub-nanometer scale. We have studied the initial stages of growth and interface formation in a variety of material pairs that are used in multilayer x-ray optics. Examples of such single-interface studies will be given, demonstrating the relationship between the growth mode and interface quality. In multilayers, interface r

Abstract:
In this paper, nanoscale vibrational analysis of a multilayered graphene sheet embedded in an elastic medium is investigated and the corresponding resonant modes and frequencies are determined. It is known that the elastic moduli of a graphene sheet in two orientations x, y are different, so the graphene sheet is assumed to be a general form of an orthotropic plate. The orthotropic sheets stacking at the top of each other bond with carbon-carbon van der Waals forces, also the whole multi-layered graphene sheet is influenced by polymer-carbon van der Waals forces from the surrounding elastic me

Abstract:
A majority of snow radiative transfer models (RTMs) treat snow as a collection of idealized grains rather than an organized ice–air matrix. Here we present a generalized multi-layer photon-tracking RTM that simulates light reflectance and transmittance of snow based on X-ray micro- tomography images, treating snow as a coherent 3D structure rather than a collection of grains. The model uses a blended approach to expand ray-tracing techniques applied to sub-1 cm3 snow samples to snowpacks of arbitrary depths. While this framework has many potential applications, this study’s effort is focused o
