Abstract:
The study of pendulum-based systems has been a subject of interest, from the cartpendulum and the Kapitza pendulum, among others, which are the most studied. However, one of the less addressed pendulums is the variable mass pendulum, which involves a difficulty not common in other types of systems. Due to this, the modelling of a variable mass system is carried out using the Euler-Lagrange formalism, thus finding a nonlinear system. The dynamic modelling of this system does not delve into the characteristics of variable mass but presents the intrinsic difficulties of such a system.

In this work, we analyze the motion properties of the test particle, that has a variable mass within the frame of Hénon–Heiles system. We derive the equations of motion of the test particle which varies its mass according to Jean’s law. We also determine the quasi-Jacobi integral which shows the effective variation due to variable mass parameters. Further, we studied the locations of stationary points and their stability, after using Meshcherskii spacetime inverse transformations.

This paper examines the attitude motion of a cylindrical body with mass loss. It is found that mass variation can have a substantial influence on the behavior of such a system. Specifically, the initial dimensions as well as the manner in which mass loss affects system inertia are found to be key factors in the determination of the characteristics of the lateral motion of the system. In great contrast to the attitude behavior of spinning rigid bodies, oblate variable mass cylinders exhibit divergent transverse attitude motion, while the transverse motion of prolate variable mass cylinders is f

Damped harmonic oscillator and Bessel’s function both exhibit similar behaviours. In order to justify this similarity between the two functions, the mass-spring system with variable mass is used. It is shown how the damped harmonic oscillator can be used as an approximated function for the Bessel function. The adiabatic invariance is also employed to make the mathematical and physical comparison between the two functions. It is also shown how to use the zeros of the Bessel's function to obtain the same approximation by solving the boundary-value problems. The zeros of the Bessel's function are

AbstractThis study proposes the realization of a device with a pure cubic stiffness mechanism to suppress a wide range of vibrations, which is known as the Nonlinear Energy Sink. Deciding how to construct a light, reliable NES device is always a challenge. According to our design, the device can counterbalance the undesirable linear stiffness that emerges from the intrinsic property of a variable pitch spring. Our goal is to reduce the mass of the spring while keeping the same cubic stiffness. Through the multifaceted analysis of the nonlinear constraint, we try to explore the full potential o

Abstract:
To reduce financial risk and N losses to the environment, fertilization methods are needed that improve NUE and increase the quality of wheat. In the literature, ample attention is given to grid-based and zone-based soil testing to determine the soil N available early in the growing season. Plus, information is available on in-season N topdressing applications as a means of improving GPC. However, the vast majority of research has focused on wheat that is grown under N limiting conditions in sub-humid regions and irrigated fields. Less attention has been given to wheat in dryland that is water

Abstract:
The report provides a review of how risk is conceived of, modelled, and mapped in studies of infectious water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) related diseases. It focuses on spatial epidemiology of cholera, malaria and dengue to offer recommendations for the field of WASH-related disease risk mapping. The report notes a lack of consensus on the definition of disease risk in the literature, which limits the interpretability of the resulting analyses and could affect the quality of the design and direction of public health interventions. In addition, existing risk frameworks that consider diseas

Abstract:
The quantification of 99mTc labeled biomarkers can add unique value in many different settings, ranging from clinical trials of investigation new drugs to the treatment of individual patients with marketed therapeutics. For example, goals of precision medicine include using companion radiopharmaceutical diagnostics as just-in-time, predictive biomarkers for selecting patients to receive targeted treatments, customizing doses of internally administered radiotherapeutics, and assessing responses to treatment. This Profile describes quantitative outcome measures that represent proxies of target c
