Abstract:
Colours are nothing but lights of different frequencies and wavelengths. Every colour is a kind of radiation and so, colours used for walls do have a profound influence on people living in the space. Important aspects such as decision-making, cheerfulness, calmness and vibrancy can be achieved by the right use of colors. Vastu, which is based on principles of energies and radiations, gives precise guidelines about use of colours depending on the directional aspect and usage pattern of the room.Colors according to Vaastu Shastra play an imperative role in bringing balance to our minds as well as bodies and to stimulate our energy. Therefore colors in a Home, Office, Factory, and Shop should be coordinated with the colors of respective planets and elements associated with different directions.Colors have a huge impact on our lives. Colors possess the power to lift our mood, raise our energy levels and increase our productivity. Vastu shastra prescribes certain floor and wall colors for the home to promote prosperity, good health and well-being. Colour scheme is an arrangement or pattern of colors or colored objects conceived of as forming an integrated whole or a combination of colours that has been chosen for a particular room

Abstract:
The primary focus of this research is to analyze and design a multi-storey building (3D-dimensional reinforce concrete frame), the designing of building begins with making the plan of specific building which include the position of rooms, kitchen, toilet etc. the design should be such that it is up to mark of customer requirements and comport nowadays vastu shastra is also kept in mind while designing. The second step is to design the reinforced concrete part which includes designing of slabs, columns, beams, staircase and footing these designing’s were done manually and all the calculations were done according ACT code and the outcomes were compared using STAAD PRO. I design an office building which is made of reinforced concrete frames and the building has three floors with 12 offices on each floor which sum up to 36 offices and the maximum area of a floor is (21.9*40.9) m2. To complete the architectural design, I AutoCAD program and for analyzing and designing the structure of building I used software known as STAAD Pro v8iSSS.and after both the designing I got the results as the map of a building which is architectural and structural safe. For designing the structural plan and architectural design one requires high imagination power as well as theoretical knowledge and also keen knowledge of science of structural engineering and should know the recent design codes, laws and before designing he should have adequate experience and mind set to reach conclusion. STAAD PRO is a very user friendly software it is and easy to understand and operate. We can input the material properties, load value, dimensions and we can also draw the frame within the software and after taking all the data it analyze the whole structure and design the member with reinforced detail for concrete frame and all the designs are done under specified criteria. These criteria are implemented to keep careful balance between economy and safety.

Abstract:
A recurrent idea in Indian philosophical, theological, and mythological systems is that of a universe manifested through a sequence of emanations. Diverse traditions of doctrine and practice share this vision of the progression from the one to the many. Temple designs often embody the same pattern. Within the diverse traditions of Indian temple architecture, an emanatory scheme is observable both in the formal structure of individual temple designs, which express a dynamic sequence of emergence and growth, and in the way in which temple forms develop throughout the course of such traditions. The canonical Sanskrit texts on architecture (Vastu Shastras) share this emanatory way of thinking, presenting varied temple typologies in which designs develop from simple to complex, emerging sequentially one from another. These texts provide a framework for design that demands interpretation and improvisation, while leading to results that are only partly determined by the individual architect. This contributes to a sense, powerfully established by the unfolding potential of the tradition of architectural practice, that a new temple design is svayambhu (self-manifesting) appearing through a cosmic process from a supra-human source.

Abstract:
Luther Burbank (1849–1926) was a prolific ornamental plant breeder, who worked with 91 genera of ornamentals, from Abutilon to Zinnia, and released nearly 1000 cultivars to the industry. His innovative work included both herbaceous and woody plant materials as well as ornamental vegetables such as corn, tomatoes, and spineless cacti. His most popular ornamental release, the shasta daisy hybrids—first released in 1901, is still on the global market. This article focuses on Luther Burbank’s breeding techniques with ornamental plants and how both the germplasms that he developed and his methodologies used permeate modern flower breeding. Genera with the highest number of cultivars bred and released by Burbank include Amaryllis, Hippeastrum, and Crinum followed by Lilium, Hemerocallis, Watsonia, Papaver, Gladiolus, Dahlia, and Rosa. With Lilium, he pioneered breeding the North American native lily species, particularly those from the Pacific coastal region, producing the eponymous Lilium ×burbankii. Burbank’s breeding enterprise was designed to be self-sustaining based on profits from selling the entire product line of a new cultivar or crop only to wholesale firms, who then held exclusives for propagation and selling, although financial hardships necessitated selling retail occasionally. Entire lots of selected seedlings were sold to the highest bidder with Burbank setting the price in his annual catalogs such as the Burbank Hybrid Lilies lot for U.S. $250,000 or some of the “very handsome, hardy ones” for U.S. $250 to U.S. $10,000 each. Other flower cultivars also commanded high prices such as seedling Giant Amaryllis that sold for U.S. $1.55/bulb in 1909. Cacti were another area of emphasis (he released more than 63 cultivars) from the spineless fruiting and forage types (Opuntia ficus-indica, O. tuna, O. vulgaris) to flowering ornamentals such as O. basilaris, Cereus chilensis, and Echinopsis mulleri. Interest in cacti during 1909–15 rivaled the Dutch Tulip mania with exorbitant fees for a single “slab” of a cultivar, speculative investments, controversy with noted cacti specialists (particularly David Griffiths), and lawsuits by The Burbank Company. Although most cultivars have been lost, Burbank’s reputation as the Father of American Ornamental Breeding remains admirable from critics and devotees alike.

Pinda Sweda is one of the most important and special form of treatment in kerala1. Panchakarma is mainly done for purifying the body and to expel out the impurities out from the body which can be achieved mainly through Vaman, Virechana, Vasti, Nasya And Rakta Mokshana. But before performing such Karma Snehan and Swedan Karma is done to liquefy the Dosa and help them move out of the body. There are many types of Swedan Karma. There are many Pinda Sweda explained like Jambir Pind Sweda, Shastik Shali Pind Sweda, Baluka Pind Sweda, Dhanya Pottali Sweda, etc. Swedana Karma which is given by us-ing a bolus which is prepared by using the different combination of medicinal leaves which is heated with medicinal oil is called as Patra Pinda Sweda. Thus, it constitutes both Snehan and Swedan. It is a process by which whole body or a part is made to perspire by the application of certain medicinal leaves, in the form of bolus tied up in a cloth bag2.Some of the great healing consequences covering various diseases in-clude anti-ageing and rejuvenating properties for overall organic functions, tissue strength and blood circu-lation, skin beautification and rejuvenation, promotion of vitality, removing disorders of nervous tension. The drugs used for Patra Pottali not only relieve pain and swelling, but also gives strength and nourishment to the affected part.

Abstract:
“Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta” is a part of the great epic ‘Mahabharata” written thousands of years back by the sage Ved Vyaas. The book has eighteen chapters, which contain the quintessence of the entire philosophy and vast ocean of spiritual knowledge of Vedas, Upnishads, Shastras, combined with all the other scriptures and literatures of the ancient India and Sanatan Hindus. But Bhagwad Geeta is not for a particular person, or religion, race, caste, or country, rather it is that divine treasure of knowledge that has been given by the Lord Krishna Himself to the entire humanity. Each individual, who is alive and breathing on this earth, has an equal claim and right over the unparalleled and liberating knowledge of this wonderful song sung by Krishna. Saying anything about Bhagwad Geeta is like showing a lamp to the sun but at the same time it is absolutely pertinent and important to keep spreading the most invaluable gems and pearls of this divine source of knowledge with people in this era when everyone around seems to be stressed and depressed mentally, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually because this great scripture has the immense potential within itself to answer all the questions and complications that are facing the modern civilizations and men today. It is the elixir that can bring the humanity to immortality and can free it of all the psychological bondages and make it healthy and blissful forever. This research paper attempts to draw the similarities between the theories of Freudian psychologically and the teachings from Geeta and at the same time it endeavours to highlight how this scripture marvelously resolves all the conflicts that remain unanswered by the modern scientific psychological thought.

Abstract:
If the structure is so designed that the positive forces override that the negative forces then there is beneficial release of bio energy which helps all the inmates to be healthy. If I put Vastu in simple words “it is the traditional Indian way how people should live in house or work at their workplace as yoga is for health.” Every women workplace is started with her house and concludes her day in her house. The prior concern is her well-being's. Vastu is a hot topic of discussion these days on all the channels on T.V, internet etc. and other mass media approaches. Present study is planned to know about the knowledge of some aspects of Vastu Shastra principles and its extent of application in newly constructed houses of Hisar district. 200 homemakers were selected purposively, majority were found young 60.0% and working45.0%. Around 50 percent were having > 350 square feet house. Some miscellaneous aspects of vastu were choose to study and found that was found Usually people were interesting in application of certain aspects such as down ward slope of house should be in E and N side, rectangular house is good for living, Gomukhi house is not good for residence purpose, underground water tank should be in North East direction, no tall trees should be in North and East side and so on. Interestingly they have applied these principles on priority basis. Along with these aspects more than 90 percent of the respondents were found feeling highly satisfied by making water tank in North-East and trees in South and west side. By making central space open, eighty five percent respondents were found highly satisfied as it is the place where all energies can accumulate to make house pure, divine and peaceful.

Abstract:
Rasa Shastra deals with the preparation of variety of medicaments and formulations that include Bhasmas, Kharaliya Rasayanas, Kupipakwa Rasayanas, etc. These sections of formulations also depend upon the different types of raw materials that are to be used in it as chief ingredients. Rasa Shastra has a vast and varied history of preparing these medicines and its safer use since thousands of years. Pishti is one such section of formulations that is chiefly used when the raw materials cannot tolerate heat but at the same time are very effective without heat treatment. In Rasa Shastra, mainly the drugs of animal origin or precious gems are subjected to levigation or trituration in a particular media to form a particular Pishti. The word Pishti literally means that which is finely triturated and made into a very fine powder similar to flour. Mukta Pishti, Prawal Pishti being some of the important examples.

Abstract:
Ayurveda has inculcated many principles from darshana shastra. Pramana is one such principle which is widely used in Ayurveda with certain modifications in its applicability. With the keen observation and analytical skill the ancient sages identified the pramana as the tool to gain thorough knowledge. Ayurveda has adopted pramana namely aptopadesha, pratyaksha, anumana, yukti along with other types. The word pramana and pariksha are used synonymous in Ayurveda. Systematical analysis and gaining the exact knowledge is pariksha. Vast application of these can be seen in the treatises. Thus a literary review is taken up as an attempt to understand the utility of pramana in Ayurveda with respect to understand the basic concepts, field of research, diagnosis and treatment of disease is done.

G. Venkataraman, Bhabha and his Magnificent Obsession Vignettes in Physics, Sangam Books, London, 1994. £6.95 (Paperback) ISBN 0 86311 555 1 On 22nd January, 1966, Homi Bhabha addressed a vast gathering at the Atomic Energy Establishment in Trombay - held to offer condolences on the death of President Lai Bahadur Shastri. The following day Bhabha’s Air India plane crashed into Mont Blanc as it commenced its descent into Geneva airport. Thus perished one of India’s most gifted scientists and a man who was a scholar in other fields too. It is ironic that the following day the present reviewer addressed a small group of heart-broken Indian physicists at the site of their joint cosmic ray neutrino experiment in the Kolar Gold Fields. Venkataram has written a fine book about his countryman, chronicling his early work in Cambridge and elsewhere on cosmic rays, not least the theory underlying their behaviour, his great legacy - the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in Bombay - and the development of Nuclear Energy in India.
