Introducción: Las lesiones de la ampolla de Vater representan alrededor del 0,5 % de las neoplasias gastrointestinales. Reporte del caso: el cuadro clínico es inespecífico por lo que su diagnóstico es incidental. La biopsia de la ampolla de Vater tiene un falso - negativo del 60 % para adenocarcinoma, por lo que todos los adenomas diagnosticados deben ser resecados, por el alto riesgo de malignización; teniendo una supervivencia del 67 % a los cinco años. Ampulla of Vater metastases from renal cell carcinoma are rare. The time between detection of the primary tumour and its metastasis may extend to years. Management should be aggressive, since the prognosis of renal cell carcinoma is unpredictable and curative surgery of metastases may extend patient survival and even lead to definite cure. The duodenum is infrequently affected by malignant lymphoma, and follicular lymphomas of the duodenum are rare histological subtypes. There are no reported cases of collision of follicular lymphoma and other tumors in the ampulla of Vater. A 57-year-old Japanese man presented with jaundice, and abdominal computed tomography revealed a tumor of the ampulla of Vater invading the pancreatic head with biliary dilatation and a thickened duodenal wall.
