Abstract:
Abstract A single letter or more than one letter referring to an object is called a word. This word can be divided into two categories as grammatical word and literary word. Among them, the grammatical words are noun, verb, interjection and adjective. Among these, adjectives come inseparable from nouns and verbs. Adjectives refer to characteristics of a noun or verb. It can be divided into multi-word for one object and single word for many objects. These are mostly passive learning. In this way, the adjective Mallal can be found with all kinds of grammars for the above-mentioned adjective through various literatures. The etymological interpretation given by various poets to this word which various poets have used at various places in their hymns, Based on this explanation, the places where the word Mallal is located in the literature, when the same word is changed to Mallar and Mallan, the meaning of hero and mannan they give, the places where they are located in the literature, the semantic interpretation of the word Mallal, the difference between the words Mallar and Mallar, and the impact of this word on the society. This review article is meant to illustrate.

Abstract:
In a large rectangular room, 13 blindfolded women attempted to walk in a straight line from one end of the room to a target centered at the other end of the room. On 12 trials, the women walked forward, and on 12 trials they walked backward. On half the trials under each of these conditions, they walked toward the north, and on the other half to the south. Performance errors were highly correlated for northward and southward progression, an indication of good reliability for this veering task. Veering during forward progression was not significantly related to veering during backward progression. Individual consistency in veering was demonstrated in several ways, and approximately half the participants veered in the same direction on nearly all trials. These results indicate that veering should be considered as an additional manifestation of lateral preferences in human motor behavior.

Abstract:
The goal of this study was to determine if people use vestibular information to keep track of their positions while walking through a simple course. Subjects were normals and patients with chronic peripheral vestibulopathies – each of whom were tested once – and patients with acoustic neuromas tested pre- operatively and one and three weeks post-operatively. Subjects walked over a straight course, 7.62 m, with their eyes open and then with their eyes closed. The time needed for task performance, the forward distance subjects walked before veering, and the lateral distance subjects veered from the straight ahead were recorded. The angle of veering was then calculated. Normals were able to perform this task easily with eyes open or closed. With eyes closed pre-operative acoustic neuroma subjects walked significantly shorter distances before veering than normals but did not veer significantly more than normals or take longer than normals to perform the task. Chronic vestibulopathy subjects, by contrast, were significantly impaired compared to normals on all measures. With eyes open within a week after acoustic neuroma resection subjects could perform the task as well as normals. With eyes closed, however, post-operative subjects were impaired compared to their own pre-operative levels, but they had returned to their pre-operative levels at the second post-operative test. Ataxia was only weakly correlated to any measures and tumor size was not related to performance. These findings support the hypothesis that vestibular input is used for spatial orientation during active motion.

Abstract:
In Siddha system Arsenics are called as Paasaanam (toxins). Veeram is one of the paasaanam, its chemical formula is Hg2Cl2 (Calomel). Internally arsenic based medicines are used for rheumatoid arthritis, generalized body pain, syphilis, epilepsy and cancer.Various organic agents are used to purify the veeram such as milk, tender coconut, bitter guard and lemon juice. In this study raw veeram and products obtained after purification were analyzed using FTIR Spectroscopy with a view to understand the need and mechanism of this purification processes. FTIR analysis was carried out before and after purification. Efforts were made to study various chemical changes veeram undergoes during this process. FTIR of the raw Veeram and its processed samples were recorded between 4000-400cm-1. In the study raw drug showed only nine functional groups in the region between 3789.36cm-1 and 468.75cm-1. Bitter gourd treated veeram peaks were observed in the region between 3526.99 and 476.62cm-1 and a total of 13-peaks were obtained. Milk treated veeram showed peaks in the region between 3851.10 and 470.39cm-1 and total of 16- peaks were obtained. This method indicated presence of large number of functional groups. Lemon juice treated veeram showed peaks in between 3839.33 and 471.99cm-1 total of 15-peaks were obtained. Tender coconut veeram peaks were observed in between 3877.84 and 477.33cm-1 and total of 15-peaks were obtained. From this data number of functional groups increased in purified samples which indicated that the toxic veeram is not only detoxified but also interacted with functional groups of purifying agents there by therapeutic potency is enhanced.

Abstract:
An early Indian film adaptation of Macbeth, Jwala (dir. Vinayak, 1938) shows a Lady Macbeth that sides with Banquo against Macbeth, as if an evil female character were difficult to conceive in the Indian imagination. In 21st century film adaptations of Macbeth, Maqbool (dir. Vishal Bhardwaj, 2003) and Veeram (dir. Jayaraj, 2017), the female character is as evil as in the source text. Yet, neither Nimmi (Lady Macbeth in Maqbool) nor Kuttimani (Lady Macbeth in Veeram) is married to Macbeth at the outset of the film, the implication being an Indian married woman is incapable of such atrocities. In both movies, sexual drive becomes crucial in the course of events. By analyzing the role of Lady Macbeth in Maqbool and Veeram, this paper aims to show that these Lady Macbeths are as based on the play as on the role of the vamp (the evil woman) in popular Indian movies, since characters that are sexually driven are always condemned to death.

Since ancient times, the Tamil community has given great value to women. It is said that in the Vedic period men had equal rights with women and husband and wife had equal rights in religious and social duties. The position of women during the Sangam period, similar to the Vedic period, was highly admirable. Women were considered to be of the highest character to household duties. Chastity is with loving virtues patience, morality, maintaining the heart, hospitality, circumference, etc., are the characteristics of the wife. The women of the sangam age considered Nanam better than the best life of all, that innocent chastity was better than that Nanam, and that their husband was life for wives. Women have maintained a good place of Nanam and chastity. She considered it is duty to give birth to the people and to be heroic. The purpose of this article is to express the heroic feelings of women in sangam literature.

Abstract:
In Ayurveda, Dravya plays a vital role in the treatment and Dravya has been positioned in second prime place in the Chikitsta Chatushpada. The therapeutic efficacy of Dravya depends on its Rasa-Panchaka, especially Veerya. Veerya is the potency of a Dravya that allows the Dravya to exhibit its action. It is the ultra-chemical action of the drug and it can be found in two kinds: 1. Usna Veerya (Hot in potency), which is Vata-Kapha Doshahara and 2. Shita Veerya (Cold in power) is Pitta Doshahara. Hence Veerya of Dravya has significant role in treatment. To determine the potency of drug, the concept of Endothermic and Exothermic reactions play an imperative role. In this experiment, Trayushana: - Shunti, Maricha, Pippali also known as Trikatu, the three indispensable drugs used in Ayurveda were taken for the assessment of Veerya. Results of this study demonstrated the Usna Veerya property of Shunti and Maricha and Anushna Veerya property of Pippali.

Abstract:
A study of sudden natural death occurring in a motor vehicle was performed on the case files of the Office of the Medical Examiner of Metropolitan Dade County in Miami, Florida, during the years 1980–84. A total of 133 autopsied cases were collected and analysed as to the age, race, sex, cause of death, blood alcohol content, height, weight, heart weight, heart histology, severity of coronary artery disease, past medical history, medication, role of the occupant, time of occurrence, and scene circumstances. Essentially, the ‘natural death at the wheel’ of the 1980s involves an older (greater than age 55 years) white male who dies from atherosclerotic heart disease (occlusive coronary artery disease). He is most commonly sober at the time of the incident, which most frequently is the afternoon or evening. The deceased usually was the driver who either ‘veered off’ and crashed the vehicle into an object or was found ‘collapsed’ in the vehicle. ‘Veering off’ the road without a crash occurred less frequently. Most victims had a pre-existent medical condition but were without medication. At autopsy the heart weights (average 533.5 gm) were enlarged and severe coronary artery disease was present. A discussion ensues comparing these findings with other studies.

Abstract:
How does teaching veer? In what ways can we tell if a literature lesson veers constructively or otherwise? How do we determine its limits and the correlations between success or failure in our teaching when — individually or collectively — we veer in a novel, a short story or a poem? If veering, as Nicholas Royle argues, can offer us a more dynamic critical vocabulary for reading literary works by developing singular responses to risk, failure, uncertainty and difficulty, then surely it can also be a profitable way to determine the peripheries of pedagogical practice, what we can and cannot expect from the experience of education. Using the example of the short story ‘Powder’ by Tobias Wolff, and the responses from a given class in the specific context of reading this story, this article examines moments of veering and the difficulties of responding responsibly to the vicissitudes of what I will call moments of unlearning. The questions are, can we veer from theories of literature to theories of teaching? Have critique and difficulty (critique as an experience and practice of difficulty) run aground in our current context? Is it time, consequently, to veer away from difficulty as the purpose of teaching and learning? And if so, what would that veering look like as a practical pedagogical action?

Abstract:
The sharp divergence of two root-loci for a critical value of the parameters is called veering. Veering phenomena are interesting since they involve relevant energetic exchanges between the eigenmodes and strongly affect the undamped forced response of the system. A straightforward perturbation approach has already been used in the literature to analyze the dependence of the eigensprectrum on a system parameter and formulate a veering criterion. This perturbation approach and other ideas are generalized to the study of veering in discrete and continuous systems with gyroscopic operators of internal coupling and the results applied to a real electromechanical interaction.

In this paper, the existence of the curve veering in the eigenvalue problem of general rotor-bearing systems are verified and the criteria of the curve veering is evaluated. The abrupt but continuous changes of mode shapes during veering are also illustrated.

Abstract:
Overhang provides a simple but effective way of coupling (sub)structures, which has been widely adopted in the applications of optomechanics, electromechanics, mass sensing resonators, etc. Despite its simplicity, an overhanging structure demonstrates rich and complex dynamics such as mode splitting, localization and eigenfrequency veering. When an eigenfrequency veering occurs, two eigenfrequencies are very close to each other, and the error associated with the numerical discretization procedure can lead to wrong and unphysical computational results. A method of computing the eigenfrequency of two overhanging beams, which involves no numerical discretization procedure, is analytically derived. Based on the method, the mode localization and eigenfrequency veering of the overhanging beams are systematically studied and their variation patterns are summarized. The effects of the overhang geometry and beam mechanical properties on the eigenfrequency veering are also identified.

Abstract:
The Siddha system of medicine, deeply rooted in ancient traditions, venerates Mercury as a quintessential element in medicinal formulations, embodying the essence of health and longevity. This study investigates the extraction of Mercury from Corrosive Sublimate (Veeram), a crucial metal in Siddha pharmacopeia, employing traditional diagnostic parameters and meticulous chemical procedures. Through the synergistic interaction of Hydrargyrum perchloride (Veeram) and tender coconut water within an aluminum vessel, Mercury emerges as a potent therapeutic agent, promising relief from ailments spanning cholera to dropsy. Despite encountering a lower-than-expected yield, chromatographic analysis confirms the extracted Mercury meets stringent purity standards. The safety, reproducibility, and scalability of the extraction process are also underscored, highlighting its potential for large-scale production. This research not only illuminates the significance of Mercury in Siddha medicine but also emphasizes the broader implications for global healthcare systems, advocating for the integration of traditional wisdom with modern science. While recognizing the need for further exploration into safety and regulatory considerations, this study sets a foundation for harnessing the healing potential of Mercury to advance holistic healthcare practices worldwide.

Abstract:
The nature of the eigensolution of a general self-adjoint system in which two eigenvalues become nearly equal is studied for the relationship between the eigenvalue loci, which are the plot of eigenvalues versus a system parameter, and the manner in which the eigenfunctions change with changes in that parameter. A perturbation series solution is used to relate the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for different values of the parameter. Criteria governing the occurrence of veering of these loci, as opposed to intersection, are established. It is proven that in the veering region, the eigenfunctions are linear combinations of the corresponding eigenfunctions at the outer limits of the veering zone, and that those combinations are highly sensitive to the value of the system parameter. A corollary is that in systems whose individual subcomponents are lightly coupled and nearly identical, eigenvalue veering and high mode sensitivity are associated with mode localization, in which some of the system modes are strongly enhanced in a small portion of the domain. An example of a two-span beam with irregular spacing of the supports, whose exact eigensolution has been shown to feature mode localization and high mode sensitivity, demonstrates the accuracy of the perturbation solution. A rectangular clamped membrane is used to illustrate the relationship between approximation error in the derivation of the system equations and eigenvalue veering.

Abstract:
The Partition of India in 1947 led to the forced migration of millions of people accompanied by unspeakable violence and trauma. Several Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs were displaced from their homes and had to move along religious lines across the newly drawn border between India and Pakistan. This led to a loss of power and control over the territory, a total destruction of the process by which a society establishes territorial organization and ownership. The present paper explores issues related to home, uprootedness, forced migration and how people coped up with its impact in the context of Veera Hiranandani’s fictional work The Night Diary (2018). Narrated in the form of epistles, The Night Diary portrays the partition trauma and displacement from the viewpoint of a twelve-year-old girl Nisha who is forced to leave her home in Pakistan and migrate to India after the partition. The paper examines how forced migration affects her identity as she tries to cope with the emerging harsh realities. The focus is on her attempts to re-root herself in the new surroundings even as undergoing loss, fears, and uncertainty. The paper examines how the writer narrativizes Nisha’s journey to portray the trauma of displacement felt even generations later.

Abstract:
The plots of variation of eigenvalues of vibrating structures with a system parameter often cross each other or abruptly veer away avoiding the crossing. The phenomenon is termed as curve veering and has been observed both in approximate solutions as well as in exact solutions associated with vibration of some vibrating systems. An explanation to such behavior is provided and illustrated by solving a simple example. The curve veering behavior is induced into a membrane by introducing a parameter that can change the mathematical model from an exact form to an approximate one. Approximate deflection functions such as those used in Galerkin's method or the Rayleigh Ritz method invariably create an approximate or a ficticious system model in lieu of the actual system. The ficticious system may exhibit curve veering while the corresponding real system has no such behaviour. When the ficticious nature of the system is minimized by using large number of terms in the approximate techniques or by discretisation of the domain as in finite difference or by assuming spline type deflection functions, the curve veering behavior subsides and in some cases almost vanishes.

Abstract:
Herbaceous plant species are important components of ecosystems. Herbs are variable in their presence as well as presence of certain chemical compounds in their body system. Floristic studies acquire increasing importance in recent years in response to the need of developing and understand and under developing countries to assess their plant wealth. Total 54 plant species belonging to 20 families and 48 genera were recorded from the study site. Out of 54 plants, 54 were angiosperms. The contribution of dicotyledons was 98% and monocotyledons 2%. Acanthaceae was the most dominant family with 6 species and 6 genera and other main contributing families were Amaranthaceae (7 species and 6 genera), Euphorbiaceae (6 species and 4 genera), Apocynaceae (5 species and 5 genera), Capparaceae (3 species and 3 genera) and Malvaceae (3 species and 3 genera). The most dominant life from was wild (87%) followed by ornamental (12%) and cultivation (2%). The dominance of plants from Poaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Apocynaceae families in the study site, supports the harsh environmental conditions especially the water stress, because these plants have made morphological, anatomical and a physiological modifications to overcome the drought conditions. Dominance of Papilionaceae shows that these areas are nutrient deficient especially nitrogen.

Full text
Abstract:
The effects of disk flexibility and multistage coupling on the dynamics of bladed disks with and without blade mistuning are investigated. Both free and forced responses are examined using finite element representations of example single and two-stage rotor models. The reported work demonstrates the importance of proper treatment of interstage (stage-to-stage) boundaries in order to yield adequate capture of disk-blade modal interaction in eigenfrequency veering regions. The modified disk-blade modal interactions resulting from interstage-coupling-induced changes in disk flexibility are found to have a significant impact on (a) tuned responses due to excitations passing through eigenfrequency veering regions, and (b) a design’s sensitivity to blade mistuning. Hence, the findings in this paper suggest that multistage analyses may be required when excitations are expected to fall in or near eigenfrequency veering regions or when the sensitivity to blade mistuning is to be accounted for. Conversely, the observed sensitivity to disk flexibility also indicates that the severity of unfavorable structural interblade coupling may be reduced significantly by redesigning the disk(s) and stage-to-stage connectivity. The relatively drastic effects of such modifications illustrated in this work indicate that the design modifications required to alleviate veering-related response problems may be less comprehensive than what might have been expected.

Abstract:
The eigenvalues of rotating blades usually change with rotation speed according to the Stodola-Southwell criterion. Under certain circumstances, the loci of eigenvalues belonging to two distinct modes of vibration approach each other very closely, and it may appear as if the loci cross each other. However, our study indicates that the observable frequency loci of an undamped rotating blade do not cross, but must either repel each other (leading to “curve veering”), or attract each other (leading to “frequency coalescence”). Our results are reached by using standard arguments from algebraic geometry—the theory of algebraic curves and catastrophe theory. We conclude that it is important to resolve an apparent crossing of eigenvalue loci into either a frequency coalescence or a curve veering, because frequency coalescence is dangerous since it leads to flutter, whereas curve veering does not precipitate flutter and is, therefore, harmless with respect to elastic stability.

Abstract:
The special structure of beams of cantilever screen has the advantages comparing with the traditional screen and special dynamic characteristics, such as the dynamic characteristics of frequency veering. The traditional analysis method of vibrating screen is not applicable to its dynamic analysis because of the special structure. By analysis and decomposition of stiffness matrix of beams of cantilever screen, the frequency veering phenomenon of the beam of cantilever screen was explained from the point of view of modal energy equation and the influence of sub-stiffness matrix of beams of cantilever screen on the frequency veering was analyzed. The analysis results showed that the sub-stiffness matrix of the hollow beam and sub-stiffness matrix of cantilever bars is the main reason for the segmentation of modal natural frequencies and the coupling stiffness between hollow beam and cantilever bars is the main reason for the concentration of modal natural frequencies and the formation of the regular mode shapes for cantilever bars group.

Abstract:
A continuous method is presented for representing the mode interaction that occurs in frequency veering in terms of the nominal sector modes of a cyclic symmetric bladed disk model constrained at a reference interblade phase angle. Using this method, the effect of frequency veering on the mode shapes can be considered in the context of the generalized forces exciting the system and the modal response of the bladed disk. It is shown that in a blade-dominated family of modes, the transfer of modal energy to the disk in the veering results in a lower generalized force exciting the mode as well as reduced response amplitude in the blade. For the disk-dominated modes, the sharing of modal energy with the blades can lead to the disk being excited by aerodynamic loading. These effects can have important implications for predicting and interpreting forced response in bladed disks. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate these concepts.
