La production théâtrale du Siècle d’Or espagnol com-prend de nombreuses pièces traitant de sujets historiques con-temporains. L’intérêt pour cette matière historique s’observe particulièrement chez un dramaturge emblématique de cette période : Lope de Vega. Bien que la finalité de cet emploi puisse être variée, elle possède souvent un intérêt extra dra-matique. Le choix des événements mis en scène par Lope de Vega est souvent en lien avec des événements correspondant au moment de l’écriture de la pièce. La comedia Carlos V en Francia, écrite en 1604, fait partie de ces pièces historiques où l’on constate une altération des événements en lien avec l’actualité politique de l’époque. Le travail de thèse ici présenté propose une édition critique annotée de Carlos V en Francia de Lope de Vega, précédée d’une étude introductive centrée, premièrement, sur son aspect historique et son intérêt extra dramatique, puis sur les spécificités des mécanismes drama-tiques mis en œuvre dans cette pièce par le dramaturge no-tamment en ce qui concerne dans le système des person-nages, la versification et la structure<br>The theatrical production of the Spanish Golden Age pro-poses numerous plays dealing with contemporary historical subjects. The interest for this historical material can be particu-larly observed in a symbolic playwright of this period: Lope de Vega. Although the purpose of this material can vary, it often possesses an extradramatic interest. The choice of events staged by Lope de Vega is often connected to corresponding events at the time of writing. The play Carlos V en Francia, written in 1604, is a part of these historical plays where we notice an alteration of events in connection with the political current events of Lope de Vega’s time. The work of the thesis presented here proposes a critical edition with notes of Carlos V en Francia by Lope de Vega, preceded by an introductory study which focuses foremost on its historic aspect and its extradramatic interest; and on the dramatic mechanisms de-veloped by the playwright in the system of the characters, the versification and the structure

Esta tesis trata acerca de una de las músicas populares vigentes de nuestra región: la cueca cuyana. Partimos de tres ámbitos distintos, poniéndolos en diálogo; por un lado, hemos profundizado en los textos y autores que han estudiado este género musical, especialmente la perspectiva del musicólogo Carlos Vega; por otro lado, hemos trabajado con los protagonistas de esta expresión cultural, realizando entrevistas a cultores de música cuyana; y por último, hemos analizado un importante corpus de composiciones grabadas fonográficamente.
Nos pareció pertinente indagar acerca de la red de construcciones ideológicas existente entorno de la cueca, tanto las implicadas en los estudios musicológicos, como las que sustentan sentidos relacionados con identidades socioculturales.
Asimismo, intentamos evidenciar intereses, necesidades y propósitos de los cultores de música cuyana ¾expresión que comparte espacios y prácticas tradicionales y mediatizadas desde principios del siglo XX¾, en relación con la industria cultural, el centralismo administrativo, los espacios de legitimación y las determinaciones ideológicas, económicas y estéticas.
Este complejo tramado de significaciones ancla en sonidos organizados de maneras particulares; en consecuencia, creímos oportuno también estudiar los distintos elementos que colaboran en la definición de la identidad sonora de la cueca cuyana contemporánea, considerando aspectos estructurales y performativos.
Algunos de los procedimientos que hemos realizado con el objeto de describir la cueca cuyana implicaron la construcción de un aparato teórico metodológico donde articulamos los enfoques del etnomusicólogo Simha Arom con los del musicólogo Philip Tagg. Por otro lado, la Semiótica de la Cultura de Iuri Lotman aparece como marco en el tratamiento de las significaciones y tensiones presentes en torno de estas músicas y sus cultores.<br>Fil: Sánchez, Octavio. An efficient robustness analysis for the VEGA launch vehicle is essential to minimize the potential system failure during the ascending phase. Monte Carlo sampling method is usually considered as a reliable strategy in industry if the sampling size is large enough. However, due to a large number of uncertainties and a long response time for a single simulation, exploring the entire uncertainties sufficiently through Monte Carlo sampling method is impractical for VEGA launch vehicle. In order to make the robustness analysis more efficient when the number of simulation is limited, the quasi-Monte Carlo(Sobol, Faure, Halton sequence) and heuristic algorithm(Differential Evolution) are proposed. Nevertheless, the reasonable number of samples for simulation is still much smaller than the minimal number of samples for sufficient exploration. To further improve the efficiency of robustness analysis, the redundant uncertainties are sorted out by sensitivity analysis. Only the dominant uncertainties are remained in the robustness analysis. As all samples for simulation are discrete, many uncertainty spaces are not explored with respect to its objective function by sampling or optimization methods. To study these latent information, the meta-model trained by Gaussian Process is introduced. Based on the meta-model, the expected maximum objective value and expected sensitivity of each uncertainties can be analyzed for robustness analysis with much higher efficiency but without loss much accuracy.

Among the existing productions we chose Veja Esta Canção (1994), whose theoretical foundations of cinema and literature that involves the study of poetry and popular song will be guided by studies on Semiotics of Culture, mainly the Russian ones, in order to understand the modeling of poetic system of song designed in cinematography of the film as a text of culture, thus contributing for a intersemiosis between rhythmic movements and the moving image.<br>A seguinte pesquisa busca investigar semioticamente o diálogo de canções (letra e melodia) com o cinema de Carlos Diegues, levando em conta as produções que realmente tiveram canções populares inseridas no contexto fílmico. Dentre as produções existentes, escolhemos Veja Esta Canção (1994), cujas fundamentações teóricas do cinema e da literatura que envolvem os estudos de poesia e da canção popular serão norteadas pelos estudos da Semiótica da Cultura de extração russa, no intuito de compreender a modelização do sistema poético da canção projetada na cinematografia do filme como um texto da cultura, contribuindo, assim, para uma intersemiose entre os movimentos rítmicos e a imagem em movimento.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is defined by the lack of expression of the oestrogen and progesterone receptors and the overexpression of HER-2. Recently, carbon monoxide (CO) was found to behave as an important endogenous signalling molecule and interestingly, to suppress vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR2) and protein kinase B (AKT) phosphorylation. Given that anti-angiogenic drugs exist as one of the few available therapies against TNBC, CO-releasing molecules (CORMs) could be used as part of a combination therapy, in order to reduce cancerdriven angiogenesis. Therefore, the aim of this project was to study any potential antiangiogenic properties of four commercially available CORMs and after the selection and structural modification of one of them, new analogues would be synthesized and evaluated in vitro. The four commercially available CORMs were screened for cytotoxicity against TNBC, epithelial and endothelial cells and found to be moderately toxic. They were also shown to reduce the glycolytic metabolism of TNBC cells, decrease VEGF excretion from both TNBC cell lines tested and downregulate the expression of the cytoprotective enzyme haem oxygenase-1 (HO-1). They were finally reported to moderately inhibit the activation of VEGFR2 and other downstream proteins upon stimulation with VEGF and reduce the tube formation ability of endothelial cells. These results were crucial for the selection of one lead compound, which was subjected to structural modifications and 15 new analogues were produced. The new molecules showed a more favourable cytotoxicity profile, with two of them being selectively toxic against TNBC. All the 15 analogues retained the ability to reduce VEGF excretion from TNBC cells and two of them were chosen for further studies. These two complexes downregulated the expression of HO-1 at similar levels and reduced the phosphorylation of some VEGFR2 downstream proteins more than the parent compound. Finally, both CORMs decreased the tube formation activity of endothelial cells. In summary, two of the commercially available and two of the newly synthesized CORMs showed promising anti-angiogenic properties and should be pursued further, in order to identify a mechanism of action for these organometallic complexes.

Previous issue date: 2011-04-04<br>This thesis aims, through quantitative and qualitative content analysis, to further our understating how Veja magazine covered Fernando Henrique Cardoso election in 1998, and how his public image was formed through its publications from June to October of that year, which Fernando Henrique was elected in the first round, analyzing whether the magazine Veja has given more credit to FHC rather than to his opponents. In order to increase the knowledge about the subject, we studied the world behind political propaganda, ideological and political marketing, and also the magazines historical ideological values. Thus, it was concluded that
the magazine during the period analyzed, has published more articles on Fernando Henrique Cardoso rather than any presidential candidate in 1998, always considering him as the best to govern the country, that time. Any material published significantly strengthened FHCs influence on Veja s readers, which has favored him during the campaign.<br>Esta dissertação tem por objetivo, através da análise de conteúdo de naturezas quantitativa e qualitativa, verificar como a revista Veja fez a cobertura da campanha eleitoral de Fernando Henrique Cardoso, em 1998, bem como verificar de que forma se deu a construção da imagem pública do candidato FHC pela publicação no período de junho a outubro do referido ano, no qual Fernando Henrique foi reeleito em primeiro turno, analisando se Veja deu mais espaço para FHC do que para seus oponentes. Para ampliar o conhecimento em relação ao objeto, estudou-se o universo da propaganda política, ideológica e do marketing político, bem como se discutiu os valores ideológicos históricos da revista Veja. Com isso, verificou-se que Veja, no período analisado, publicou mais matérias sobre Fernando Henrique Cardoso do que
qualquer outro candidato à presidência, em 1998, além de colocá-lo, quase sempre, como o mais bem preparado para continuar à frente da presidência da República, naquela época. As matérias publicadas, portanto, fortaleceram significativamente a imagem de FHC perante os leitores de Veja, favorecendo-o em relação a seus oponentes.

Previous issue date: 2010<br>The mass media had a remarkable role in the redemocratization process in Brazil, in the years 1980. In this context, Veja had great relevance. Through an analysis of the magazine between 1970 and 1988, it was possible to identify it as a locus of the liberal opposition which has grown hegemonic in the end of this process. The documental corpus of this research was composed in its totality by 520 editions of the Veja magazine, referring to the period covering the years 1979 through 1988. About the analytic procedures, it was utilized specific propositions of Analysis of Content. Beyond the qualitative analysis, quantitative indicators were considered to define elements of major relevance in the sources filtering. In the theoretic perspective, there was mainly the foundation on Antonio Gramsci aceptions of ideology, party, organic intelectual, and others. In the course of this analysis, through the sources processing, it was consolidated and demonstrated the hypotesis of the discoursive constitution of Fernando Henrique Cardoso in the magazine as the representative subject of the project of liberal opposition in the years 1980, which was supported and defended in the magazine.<br>Os veículos de comunicação tiveram um papel destacado no processo de redemocratização do Brasil, ocorrido nos anos 1980. Nesse contexto, Veja teve uma ampla relevância. Mediante uma análise da revista no período de 1979 a 1988, foi possível identificá-la como um locus da oposição liberal que se tornou hegemônica ao fim deste processo. O corpus documental desta pesquisa foi composto em sua totalidade pelas 520 edições da revista Veja, referentes ao período compreendido entre os anos de 1979 e 1988. Em relação aos procedimentos analíticos, foram utilizadas proposições específicas da Análise de Conteúdo. Além da análise qualitativa, indicadores quantitativos foram considerados para definir elementos de maior relevância na filtragem das fontes. Do ponto de vista teórico houve o embasamento predominante nas acepções formuladas por Antonio Gramsci como ideologia, partido, intelectual orgânico, entre outras. No decorrer desta análise, mediante o processamento das fontes, foi consolidada e demonstrada a hipótese de que Fernando Henrique Cardoso foi constituído discursivamente na revista como sujeito representativo do projeto de oposição liberal dos anos 1980, o qual foi apoiado e defendido na revista.

Hintergrund: Die Verletzung eines großen, venösen Gefäßes während eines lapa-roskopischen Eingriffs könnte die Entstehung einer fulminanten Gasembolie begüns-tigen. Die Verwendung von Helium als Insufflationsgas könnte aufgrund der geringen Löslichkeit ein deutlich erhöhtes Auftreten klinisch relevanter Gasembolien verursa-chen. Methodik: Bei insgesamt 20 Versuchstieren wurde unter Verwendung von CO2 [n=10] oder Helium [n=10)] als Insufflationsgase die Vena Cava inferior laparoskopisch inzi-diert. Nach 30 Sekunden wurde die Vene abgeklemmt, die Inzision laparoskopisch genäht und die Vene wieder geöffnet. Perioperativ wurden kontinuierlich Herzfre-quenz (HF), mittlerer arterieller Blutdruck (MAP), pulmonal arterieller Druck (PAP), pulmonal arterieller Verschlußdruck (PAWP), zentralvenöser Druck (ZVD), endexspi-ratorisches CO2 (ETCO2), Herzminutenvolumen (HMV), arterielle Blutgase (pH, Pa-CO2, PaO2) und arterielle Sauerstoffsättigung bestimmt. Ergebnisse: Die Letalität betrug 0% (mittlerer Blutverlust CO2, 157±50 ml; Helium, 173±83 ml). HMV und MAP zeigten in beiden Gruppen nach Inzision der Vene einen Abfall, der jedoch nach kurzer Zeit wieder vollständig kompensiert wurde. Das en-dexspiratorische CO2 stieg signifikant nach Beginn der CO2 Insufflation an (p<br>Background: Injury of venous vessels during elevated intraperitoneal pressure is thought to cause possible fatal gas embolism, and helium may be dangerous be-cause of its low solubility. Methods: Twenty pigs underwent laparoscopy with either CO2 (n=10) or helium (n=10) with a pressure of 15 mmHg and standardized lacera-tion (1 cm) of the vena cava inferior. After 30 s, the vena cava was clamped, closed endoscopically by a running suture and unclamped again. During the procedure changes of cardiac output (CO), heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP), cen-tral venous pressure (CVP), pulmonary artery pressure (PAP), pulmonary artery wedge pressure (PAWP), end tidal CO2 pressure (PETCO2), and arterial blood gas analyses (pH, pO2 and pCO2) were investigated. Results: No animal died during the experimental course (mean blood loss during laceration: CO2, 157±50 ml; helium, 173±83 ml). MAP and CO values showed a decrease after laceration of the vena cava in both groups that had already been completely compensated for before sutur-ing. happened in the Veja magazine during the elections of 1994. To fulfill this project, it was investigated 19 editions, relative to the period of June to October of the referred year. It was
studied the ideological propaganda and its categories, such as codification, ideological control, counterpropaganda and diffusion, all present in the analyzed material. This work was
developed in the light of the methodological procedures referred to the Study of Case as a type or research strategy. Among the techniques for collecting data, it was held the Content Analysis of quantitative and qualitative nature of the data researched and the interview with
the ex-president. Furthermore, this study obtained the following results: Fernando Henrique Cardoso had the majority of the volume in centimeter/column in relation to his opponent, the candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Regarding the codes used in the analyzed material, the bulk volume in centimeter/column occurred in the linguistic code, meaning that Veja magazine gave more attention to the words, sentences and even the paragraphs which composed the articulated structures, following the historic and cultural patterns of the Portuguese language. Concerning the informative genre, the biggest share in centimeter/column was in news report, designating that Veja magazine emphasized the facts that echoed and produced effects on society, and were memorable by the magazine s point of
view. It is possible to reckon that the published material strengthened significantly his image before the Veja readers, favoring him in relation to his opponent, however didn t really elect him.(AU)<br>Esta dissertação tem como objetivo verificar, de acordo com o conceito de marketing político, como se deu a construção da imagem pública do ex-presidente Fernando Henrique Cardoso na revista Veja durante as eleições presidenciais de 1994. Para tanto, analisou-se 19 edições desse periódico, todas relativas ao período de junho a outubro do referido ano. Estudou-se a propaganda ideológica e suas categorias, como codificação, controle ideológico, contrapropaganda e difusão, presentes no material empírico analisado. Este trabalho
desenvolveu-se à luz dos procedimentos metodológicos referentes ao Estudo de Caso enquanto tipo ou estratégia de pesquisa. Entre as técnicas para a coleta de dados, realizou-se a Análise de Conteúdo de natureza quantitativa e qualitativa dos dados pesquisados e entrevista com o próprio ex-presidente. Por meio deste estudo obteve-se os seguintes resultados: Fernando Henrique Cardoso teve o maior volume em centímetro/coluna em relação ao seu opositor, o candidato Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Em relação aos códigos utilizados nas matérias analisadas, o volume maior em centímetro/coluna ocorreu no código linguístico, significando que a revista Veja deu mais ênfase às palavras, às frases e aos parágrafos que compõem as estruturas articuladas, segundo os padrões históricos e culturais da língua portuguesa. No que diz respeito aos gêneros informativos, o volume maior em centímetro/coluna foi em reportagem, isso significa que a revista enfatizou os fatos que repercutiram e produziram efeitos na sociedade, e que foram percebidos pela revista. Concluise que as matérias publicadas fortaleceram significativamente a sua imagem perante os leitores da Veja, favorecendo-o em relação ao seu opositor, mas não chegaram a elegê-lo.(AU)

Previous issue date: 2007<br>Presente dissertação trata das unidades de cumprimento estabelecidas pelo Protocolo de Quioto especialmente das Reduções Certificadas de Emissão (RCEs). Primeiramente, faz uma análise do aquecimento global e do efeito estufa distinguindo as duas expressões. Em seguida, descreve o papel do Painel Intergovernamental de Mudança Climática (IPCC) em assuntos relacionados à mudança do clima e avalia a relevância da Convenção-Quadro sobre Mudança do Clima (CQNUMC) para o desenvolvimento do direito ambiental internacional. Ademais traça um panorama do Protocolo de Quioto primeiro protocolo ambiental legalmente vinculante, fruto da CQNUMC examinando suas possíveis conseqüências para o mundo e em particular para o Brasil. Elenca os créditos de carbono ou créditos de emissão e detalha as etapas para a suas obtenções destacando as condições a serem satisfeitas em cada uma delas. A hipótese que permeou a dissertação foi a de que os créditos de carbono se refletirem reduções de emissões de GEEs reais ajudarão na mitigação da mudança climática. O trabalho ainda traz à baila a polêmica acerca da natureza jurídica das RCEs consideradas por muitos economistas uma nova commodity no âmbito do Mecanismo de Desenvolvimento Limpo (MDL) único mecanismo de flexibilização que permite a participação dos países em desenvolvimento com vistas à promoção do desenvolvimento sustentável. Para conferir segurança ao mercado de carbono no Brasil está em tramitação o Projeto de Lei nº 3.552/2004 dispondo sobre a organização e regulação do mercado de carbono na Bolsa de Valores do Rio de Janeiro através da geração de Redução Certificada de Emissão. Por fim o trabalho apresenta um estudo de caso acerca do Projeto Vega Bahia que implicou a obtenção de créditos de carbono pelo Brasil. Esse projeto corresponde a reduções de emissão antropogênicas de metano (CH4) um Gás de Efeito Estufa (GEE) que não teria lugar na ausência da atividade de projeto de MDL entre janeiro e dezembro de 2004.<br>Salvador

Nesse contexto, Veja teve uma ampla relev?ncia. Mediante uma an?lise da revista no per?odo de 1979 a 1988, foi poss?vel identific?-la como um locus da oposi??o liberal que se tornou hegem?nica ao fim deste processo. O corpus documental desta pesquisa foi composto em sua totalidade pelas 520 edi??es da revista Veja, referentes ao per?odo compreendido entre os anos de 1979 e 1988. Em rela??o aos procedimentos anal?ticos, foram utilizadas proposi??es espec?ficas da An?lise de Conte?do. Al?m da an?lise qualitativa, indicadores quantitativos foram considerados para definir elementos de maior relev?ncia na filtragem das fontes. Do ponto de vista te?rico houve o embasamento predominante nas acep??es formuladas por Antonio Gramsci como ideologia, partido, intelectual org?nico, entre outras. No decorrer desta an?lise, mediante o processamento das fontes, foi consolidada e demonstrada a hip?tese de que Fernando Henrique Cardoso foi constitu?do discursivamente na revista como sujeito representativo do projeto de oposi??o liberal dos anos 1980, o qual foi apoiado e defendido na revista.

<p> This thesis presents an indicator based assessment that seeks to determine how residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems contributed to sustainability goals and how feasible emission reduction was through residential solar photovoltaic systems in the Las Vegas-Paradise Metropolitan Statistical Area. Southern Nevada is a rapidly growing southwestern US region that has high potential for renewable, non-combustible, energy technology, in specific, rooftop solar. The four LVPMSA cities released sustainability and/or sustainable development plans with goals directly, or indirectly, relating to solar energy. A triple bottom line framework, using ten energy-based indicators, helped to analyze how equitable, viable, and livable residential solar was in the LVPMSA to meet sustainability goals. Indicators and emission reduction calculators were also used to determine how much and how feasible emission reduction in the LVPMSA through residential solar. Data were provided through The Open PV Project (a voluntary cooperative solar website), the US Census Bureau, and the Clark County Department of Air Quality. </p><p> In respect to the literature, the results reflect that rooftop solar in LVPMSA cities to meet sustainability goals is not equitable, and weakly viable and livable, based on measures from economic, environmental, and social indicators, but how equitable, viable, and livable each LVPMSA city varies. In order from greatest to least, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Las Vegas and then Boulder City best contribute to sustainability goals with rooftop solar. Rooftop solar also serves as a feasible means to reduce emissions on a smaller (residential) scale, but not on a larger city or county scale. Larger scale projects, versus smaller scale rooftop solar, should be considered as a stronger means to both significantly reduce emissions and contribute to sustainability goals.</p><p>

The project examines the possibilities to develop a local and sustainable model for food production in Uppsala with focus on diet, farming methods and different types of greenhouse installations. With the simulation software VIP energy 3.1.1 the energy balance and temperature development of greenhouses of different materials were calculated for different operating cases. The results were also compared when the greenhouse was installed stand-alone or integrated to the wall of a small standard or passive house. With a starch based diet and biological farming methods research suggests it is possible to produce food efficiently without compromising the environment or our health. The yearly food needs for a family of four that follows the suggested diet was estimated to 4362 kg and the outdoor land required to produce it was calculated to 4676 m2 through organic yield statistics. The area could however be reduced to 2813 m2 if the only starch staple in production was potatoes. The tender growing season in a greenhouse constructed with a covering of 5 mm glass or 5-16Ar-5 mm was calculated to 85 and 148 days respectively. The energy use required for year round production of mushrooms in the respective greenhouses was calculated to 53 or 16 kWh/m2,year. Half hardy plants required 399 or 173 kWh/m2,year and tender plants 953 or 358 kWh/m2,year. When the greenhouses were connected to the wall of a small house the heating demand could be reduced by up to 22 % depending on the operating case.
