En las fiestas de beatificación de Santa Teresa en Zaragoza las clarisas de los monasterios de Jerusalén y Santa Catalina se distinguieron por su música. Según narra Luis Díez de Aux, pasaron la noche en la parte alta de sus monasterios cantando motetes y villancicos en "concertados coros" que podían oírse desde la distancia. El cronista considera que la voz de una de estas monjas era de las más destacadas de España y comenta que cantó la antífona <em>Veni sponsa Christi</em> de forma tan "celestial" que parecía imposible que su voz no fuese la de un "ángel". Abstract:
Solamente se conoce una referencia documental a la llegada de un libro de Francisco Guerrero a la catedral de Ávila en el siglo XVI. En la actualidad se conservan tres composiciones manuscritas en un libro de polifonía de 1796. En ambos casos existe una relación con el maestro de capilla Juan Navarro. Only one documentary reference to the arrival of a book by Francisco Guerrero at the Ávila cathedral in the 16th century is know. Currently three manuscript compositions are preserved in a polyphony book from 1796. In both cases there is a relationship whit the chapel master Juan Navarro.
