Abstract:

A tanulmány József Attila egyes költeményeit a „rózsás” versein keresztül vizsgálja. Célja az, hogy a versek létrejöttét körülvevő életeseményeket és szentimentelemzést felhasználva egy, ez ideig egészében feltáratlan, kevéssé elemzett pályaívet rajzoljon meg. Az értelem és érzelmek kettősének kölcsönhatása, különösen a rózsa motívumán keresztül, mélyebb és másabb betekintést nyújt József Attila költészetébe. A tanulmány az elején bevezeti az olvasót a „rózsás” versek világába, majd fokozatosan mutatja be a versek és a költő életének összefüggéseit. A rózsa motívumát széles körben értelmezi, bemutatva annak szépséggel kapcsolatos, szenvedélyes és sebezhetőségi aspektusait, és azt, hogyan tükrözi e jelkép a költői életeseményeket és érzelmeket. Az életrajzi történések és versek közötti kapcsolatok folyamatosan kibontakoznak a tanulmány során. A szentimentanalízissel kiegészített ikonográfiai-ikonológiai stratégia egy olyan eljárás, amelynek segítségével információk nyerhetők az írott tartalmak emocionális töltetét illetően (Laki, 2022). Az alkalmazott szentimentelemzési metodológia segít a költői művek mélyebb megértésében és az érzelmi tartalmak feltárásában. A tanulmány emellett azonosítja, hogy József Attila rózsás versei nem csak a szépséget, szenvedélyt, hanem a sebezhetőséget és az ellenállást is kifejezik, s így a rózsa-motívum mentén az emberi élet számos aspektusát. Az írás összefűzi a költő személyes életét a művekkel, művelődéstörténeti adalékokkal, és mindezen keresztül bemutatja, hogyan jelennek meg az életesemények a költészetben, amint alkotói és befogadói szinten is gazdagítják a költői üzenetet.

Abstract:

A társadalmi és társadalmi nemi szerepekkel való együttműködés, illetve a szerepelvárásokkal szembeni ellenállás lehetőségei már a borítón megjelennek Szlukovényi Katalin Álomkonyha (2020) című verseskötetében – erősen ironizáltan. A tanulmány azt vizsgálja, hogy a versek miként mutatják be a kognitív disszonancia felerősítése helyett – a döntéskényszernek ellenállva – az életmodellek együttes működtetésének gyakorlatát. Szlukovényi Katalin gondosan szerkesztett versei az interszekcionális identitás példái, ahol minden nyelvi elem számít: az irodalmi utalások, a költői kép és verssortörés, a fanyar humorba forduló zárlat. A figyelem maga a felkínált megoldás.

Abstract:

Kazinczy verseinek kritikai kiadását készítvén azt reméltem, hogy a fogság előtti versekkel talán nem lesz nagyon sok baj, hiszen azok zöme megjelent a Magyar Museumban és az Orpheusban, amelyek kritikai feldolgozása már rendelkezésre áll egy idő óta. Nem tagadható, hogy e munkákból sok haszon származott a mostanira, de a ’sok bajt’ ennek ellenére nem sikerült elkerülni, aminek legfőképpen két oka volt. Egyrészt a fókuszban korábban természetszerűen maguk a folyóiratok álltak, nem pusztán Kazinczy versei, másrészt forráskiadásokról lévén szó, az egyes versek kéziratos anyaga nem került részletes feldolgozásra. Amikor tehát most nem a folyóiratok felől közelítünk a versekhez, hanem a fogság előtti költészet egésze felől ennek folyóiratokban megjelent szeletéhez, sok új kérdés és megoldandó probléma merül fel, de közben feltárulnak egészen új összefüggések is, s nem pusztán textológiai-filológiai érdekűek.

Abstract:

Discussing the banning of Salman Rushdie’sSatanic Versesin some Islamic countries, Vijay Mishra and Bob Hodge argue:For the Islamic postcolonial world, the moral is clear and succinct: to write in the language of the colonizer is to write from within death itself. Postcolonial writers who write in the language of the Empire are marked off as traitors to the cause of a reconstructive post-colonialism. Postcolonial writers compose under the shadow of death (Williams & Chrisman 1993:277).Apparently, the consequences triggered by the publication of Rushdie’s novel, in the preceding century, raised many significant questions about the relationship between East and West, colonized and colonizer. Nevertheless, the hostility toward the book in some Middle Eastern and Islamic countries is not related to the issue of language, identified by Mishra and Hodge as “the language of the empire.” The use of colonial languages rarely represents a threat to Islamic culture because unlike the literature of ex-colonies in Asia, Africa, South America, the West Indies and the Caribbean, dominantly written in the language of the western colonizers, literature in a large part of the Arab-Islamic world is composed in indigenous languages. It is important to point out therefore that the issue of language, raised above, is irrelevant because the campaign againstSatanic Versesis rooted in the radical constructs of religious hegemony integral to contemporary political Islamic doctrines.

Abstract:

When most people think of the genre epic poem, they probably think of the great epics of antiquity and the Middle Ages. The further one follows literary history into the present, the rarer one encounters this art form. Two contemporary German-language authors, however, have deliberately chosen this form to tell heroine stories, in keeping with the tradition of the genre: Ann Cotten’s verse epic ‘Verbannt!’ (2016) and Anne Weber’s ‘Annette, ein Heldinnenepos’ (2020). Although both works are dedicated to the same form and function, they differ strikingly in both aspects.
