Abstract:
We have applied an efficient noise control strategy to a vibratory-rotary drilling machine, which is capable of geothermal hole drilling, water well drilling, etc. In construction works, lowering of noise is a highly required, particularly in urban areas. The drilling machine of this type is powered by a diesel engine and features a drilling system with a high frequency vibration. A-weighted sound power level of the original model reaches up to 111-116 dB. We have set our reduction target down to about 10 dB. In order to achieve this target noise level efficiently and quickly, we employed foll

Abstract The article presents the design of the heading set of equipment for drivage of development galleries in rocks prone to gas-dynamic phenomena. This equipment can carry out the full technological cycle of rock excavation. The use of the P-110 roadheader of Ukrainian PJSC “Novokramatorskyi Machine Building Plant” with an operating device on a telescopic boom is offered for the aggregation of the heading set of equipment for underground development galleries drivage in emission-hazardous rocks. The device for mechanized boreholes drilling in an emission-hazardous coal seam has been devise

The application of high-frequency vibrations to a drill bit is a promising means of increasing rate of penetration in deep hard formations. The implementation of such drill bit high-frequency vibrations is possible by installing the cavitation hydraulic vibrator in the drill string in front of the rock-cutting tool. Purpose. Evaluation of resonant modes (frequencies of oscillations) for the dynamic interaction of the mud pressure in the drill string and the drill bit longitudinal vibrations in case of contact with the rock being destroyed while drilling using the cavitation hydraulic vibrator;

Stick—slip-induced vibration in drilling has a detrimental effect on the drilling system and may lead to the failure of the drill string. This study is a further development of a friction-driven vibro-impact system which was investigated previously. The system used the stick—slip properties to generate a vibratory motion of a hammer that collides with the bit. The previous study focused on the influence of the friction on the response of the system without impacts. This paper investigates the full dynamic response of the model including friction and impact. Numerical bifurcation analysis of th

Reducing vibrations in well drilling has a significant effect on improving the overall performance of the drilling process. Vibrations may affect the drilling process in different ways, i.e., reducing durability of the drillstring’s elements, reducing the rate of penetration, and deviating the drilling direction. In rotary drilling, which is used to open mine and oil wells, torsional vibration of the drillstring is an important component of the overall system’s vibration that has received less attention in the literature. In this paper, we propose a finite element model for a sample blasthole
