The aim of this thesis was to provide a portrait of the child sexual abuse (CSA) experiences of a sample of Québec youth living in residential child protective services (CPS) care using three sources of information: the youth, their workers and the CPS record. A convenience sample of 53 youth aged 14 to 17 recruited from six residential care units agreed to participate in the study. This study was conducted in selected provinces of Bicol Region from April 2015 to May 2015 to describe the knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) of dog owners regarding rabies and dog bites. A purposive sampling was used in selecting the respondents of the study. Frequencies were tabulated for all variables. Of the 1,200 respondents, 2,193 dogs were recorded making a 2:1 ratio of dogs to householders in this particular study. Among these dogs 58% were vaccinated against rabies. In this paper we draw a profile of the victims of crime in Latin America. We show that- at least for the case of property crime - the typical victims of crime in Latin America come from rich and middle class households and tend to live in larger cities. We also show that households living in cities experiencing rapid population growth are more likely to be victimized than households living in cities with stable populations.
