Abstract:

There was a clear seasonal pattern in the occurrence of most species. Three species, Siskin, Redpoll, and Brambling, were irregular and occasionally present in relatively large numbers. Invasi

Abstract:
The presence of birds visiting a feeding site near a villa in a suburban area to the west of Oslo was observed daily at close range during 2000–2008. The bird assemblage consisted of 17 species. Some species were present throughout the year, whereas others occurred during different seasons. Most species showed a stable occurrence from year to year and was little influenced by climatic factors. When comparing with the bird community in a spruce forest about three kilometres away, only 36% of the forest species occurred regularly at the suburban site, showing a considerable loss of diversity whe

AbstractYouth participation has become an important mechanism in many aspects of society, research and democratic institutions and in urban planning specifically. Yet, the ideal of participation often collides with the realities of planning as practice. In this article, we outline the halting process of transforming an old villa owned by the municipality into a youth house, and how youth trained as co‐researchers transitioned from being invited participants to becoming uninvited activists wanting to hold decision‐makers accountable for the delay. The empirical findings from Oslo, Norway highli

Introduction As music listening transitions from physical to digital formats, the model for how people organise and discover new music is being taken over by the features of digital streaming services (Lüders; Rothenbuhler; Wikström). Playlists, akin to the mixtape of the analogue era, have broken up the album model, catering to specific moods, genres, and events (Bonini and Gandini; Prey; Siles et al., "Genres"). On Spotify, algorithmic playlists are readily mixed in with human-curated playlists, blurring the lines between the selections of personal human choice, and the datafied choices driv
