The Capri Bird Observatory is situated in Castello Barbarossa, an old fortification overlooking the Bay of Naples in southwestern Italy. The observatory was founded in 1956 by the Swedish Ornithological Society in cooperation with Villa San Michele. Until the mid- 1980s it was entirely a Swedish venture, whereafter also Italian ornithologists joined, first the LIPU bird protection organization, later the ringing center in Bologna through its Piccole Isole project. The aim was to study bird migration between winter quarters in tropical Africa and breeding areas around the Baltic Sea. The main c

Abstract Background: Although patients (pts) with hormone receptor-positive (HR+)/HER2-negative breast cancer (BC) frequently experience disease response to neoadjuvant therapy, fewer than 10% achieve a pathologic complete response (pCR) with standard chemotherapy or endocrine therapy, even in combination with CDK4/6 inhibitors. Thus, finding more effective therapies for this disease remains an unmet need. HER2 is expressed at a low level (IHC 1+ or 2+) in approximately 60-70% of HR+ BC. Trastuzumab deruxtecan (DS-8201a, T-DXd) is a novel HER2-targeting antibody drug conjugate (ADC) that is FD

In this paper the researcher attempts to study about the postmodern ethnicity and psyche in the novel The English Patient. After exploring the status of World War II in the different debates that surround the concept of the ‘postmodernism’, the most obvious point is that even while the conflict was still underway, the second World War was identified as a crisis of modernity and also the loss of psyche. Since 1945, the scattering for survival and the killing process is often repeated. People started to hide their identity for survival after the second world war. After modernism the people start

Abstract In spite of its twentyish trappings—echoes of Gershwin here and there—the Viola Concerto belongs musically and spiritually to the late romantic tradition: it is essentially within the orbit of Bax, Elgar, and Ireland, a mature, not to say middle aged, outpouring. (To test this, listen to even the early works of the later-developing Michael Tippett: one cannot believe that he is of Walton’s generation, being only three years younger. The gulf seems more like two decades.) Not the least of the extraordinary virtues of this concerto is the choice of solo instrument: the dark and huskily

Abstract The identity of Antoine du Pinet remains uncertain to this day. A certain Antoine Pignet was minister at Ville-la-Grand in the Chablais, near Geneva, in October 1538. Judging by the correspondence between him and Calvin in the years 1538–1540, Pignet was the corrector of Calvin’s works during the reformer’s exile in Strasbourg. On 4 October 1539, he wrote to Calvin to say that he had just read the Latin version of the latter’s Reply to Sadolet and was so struck by its elegance and importance that he proposed to translate it into French so as to make it available to a wider public.
