Abstract:
A large proportion of vaginal and vulvar squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) and intraepithelial neoplasias (VAIN and VIN) are associated with HPV infection, mainly type 16. The purpose of this study was to identify HPV genotypes, as well as E6/E7 mRNA expression of high-risk HPVs (16, 18, 31, 33, and 45) in 56 histology samples of VAIN, VIN, vaginal, and vulvar SCCs. HPV was identified in 56% of VAIN and 50% of vaginal SCCs, 71.4% of VIN and 50% of vulvar SCCs. E6/E7 mRNA expression was found in one-third of VAIN and in all vaginal SCCs, 42.9% of VIN and 83.3% of vulvar SCCs. Our data indicated that HPV 16 was the commonest genotype identified in VAIN and VIN and the only genotype found in SCCs of the vagina and vulva. These findings may suggest, in accordance with other studies, that mRNA assay might be useful in triaging lesions with increased risk of progression to cancer.

Abstract:
Cet article analyse le double processus de la circulation du vin comme marchandise et des significations qui l’entourent dans le contexte de la mondialisation. À la lumière de l’étude de Bestor (2004) concernant la circulation transnationale du thon, j’identifie certaines caractéristiques de la commercialisation transnationale du vin, notamment l’existence de deux systèmes de connaissances (les lois et les normes oenophiles) qui influencent la manière pour les consommateurs et les producteurs de penser et de se représenter le vin, systèmes qui participent au caractère fétiche de cette marchandise. Via une analyse du développement de l’industrie vitivinicole à Cirò Marina, en Calabre, je démontre l’influence conjointe des législations et de l’internationalisation du commerce du vin sur l’évolution la production locale. Sont aussi relevés des décalages au niveau des représentations locales du vin. Plutôt que de circuler, la manière avec laquelle les personnes produisent et interprètent les significations du vin varie davantage en fonction de leur position au sein de la production.

La référence au vin est constante dans l’œuvre d’Érasme, aussi bien dans sa correspondance que dans ses textes majeurs ( Colloques, Adages, Traités de civilité …). Érasme ne s’est jamais présenté comme un anachorète et croit au contraire profondément que la présence du Christ jaillit lorsque des amis se réunissent autour d’un verre de vin. Habité par les textes des Anciens et par les Évangiles, Érasme sait que le vin a été célébré bien avant lui et il ne cesse de se référer aux paraboles bibliques ou aux adages grecs. Convaincu que le vin est source de vie et de bienfaits, il boit chaque jour sa boisson préférée, issue des terres de Bourgogne, qui embrassent alors aussi les vignobles du Jura et de Besançon. Lorsque la vieillesse le frappe, le vin n’apparaît plus seulement comme un délicieux nectar qui permet d’oublier les tourments du siècle, mais aussi comme un puissant remède. Associé à des aromates, appliqué en compresses, le vin est définitivement pour Érasme le symbole de la joie, de la foi et de la charité.

Abstract:
<p style="text-align: justify;">L'action des glycosidases exogènes d'origine fongique (α-arabinosidase, α-rhamnosidase, β-apiosidase, β-glucosidase) a été étudiée en vinification en vin doux naturel (VDN) et en vin sec du moût de Muscat de Frontignan. La teneur en fraction libre de l'arôme a montré une forte augmentation dans le cas du vin sec issu du moût enzymé : d'une part la concentration en certains terpénols (nérol, géraniol, citronellol, α-terpinéol, hydroxylinalols) a sensiblement augmenté, d'autre part des composés nor-isoprénoïdiques (β-damascénone, 3- hydroxy-β-damascone), intéressants sur le plan olfactif, ont apparu. On a démontré que l'augmentation de la concentration de la plupart des composés aromatiques était le résultat de l'action hydrolytique des glycosidases exogènes sur les précurseurs glycosidiques. Le vin sec issu du moût enzymé a été jugé plus aromatique (floral) et plus typé. Dans le cas du VDN issu du moût enzymé, l'hydrolyse des précurseurs glycosidiques d'arôme a été interrompue au stade de monoglucosides, dû à l'inhibition de l'activité β-glucosidase par la présence du glucose. Ainsi la fraction libre de l'arôme n'a pu augmenter comme dans le cas du vin sec enzymé.</p>

Abstract Title: What motivates Swedish Millennials’ choices when buying wine?  Level: Bachelor thesis in Business Administration, final assignment.  Authors: Richard Tarschis and Dag Ehlin  Supervisor: Jonas Kågström  Date: 2018 – January  Aim: The purpose of this work is to analyze which driving forces affect the Swedish Millennials’ choices in the purchasing process of wine.  Method: We used a quantitative research method in the form of a web-based survey that was sent out via Facebook and email with a total of 254 respondents. These data were then analyzed in the SPSS statistical software through cluster analysis, factor analysis and correlation analysis. The selection was aimed at Swedish men and women from Generation Y.  Results & Conclusion: The results showed that the two most important driving forces were the emotional aspect as well as Word of Mouth. We also found that hedonism is a driving force for buying wine in general rather than for buying a specific wine.  Contribution of the thesis: The study contributes to an understanding of what driving forces are the basis for purchasing decisions of a particular wine for the younger part of Swedish Generation Y. For marketers, this means knowledge about which marketing strategies they should use to reach the target group in question.  Suggestions for future research: Future research should focus on replicating the study with a representative sample, a selection that is evenly distributed between all ages of the generation. It would also be interesting to replicate the study in neighboring countries such as Norway and Finland.  Key Words: Consumer behavior, motivational factors, purchasing process, wine consumption, Millennials, Sweden.

L’objet principal de notre étude est l’étroite interdépendance entre l’histoire, l’économie, la culture, la sociologie, les manifestations culturelles du vin dans la littérature et l’iconographie de la région de Valladolid. Nous avons défini le cadre de vie des habitants, ce qui nous a permis ensuite de déterminer dans quel contexte la culture du vin s’est développée. L’interaction étroite entre l’homme et la vigne a contribué à modeler, façonner et adapter le paysage de la Contrée de Cigales. Nous étudions les différents périodes historiques du vin dans cette Contrée depuis le Moyen Age jusqu'à nos jours et l’avènement de l’AOC. La vie des villages a toujours gravité autour de la vigne que ce soit dans sa culture ou son exploitation avec la création de différents métiers. Dans le système d’élaboration du vin, ce qui apparaît comme le plus déterminant est sa très faible innovation jusqu’à la première moitié du XXe siècle. Nous signalons aussi l’utilisation culinaire, médicinale et le rôle incontestable du vin dans les activités festives. Chaque étape du travail du vin, ou toute activité liée à celui-ci nous offre toute une panoplie d’outils littéraires et iconographiques. Nous avons comparé la production orale à la production classique. On utilise les mêmes procédés et les mêmes thèmes, alors que dans la littérature contemporaine, on observe une séparation très nette entre l’oral et l’écrit. Ce même phénomène se retrouve d’ailleurs dans la production iconographique. L’étude du vin dans cette région, montre à quel point ce produit est au centre d’interaction entre l’histoire, l’économie, la culture, la sociologie… Elle note l’interdépendance de l’homme avec son environnement et leurs influences mutuelles
This thesis draws upon the literary and iconographic evidence which accompany each of the stages of the cultivation and making of the Cigales wine to illustrate the close links between the historical, cultural and socioeconomic dimensions of wine production in Cigales, Valladolid. Our survey covers the different periods in the history of wine cultivation and production in Cigales’ county from the Middle Ages to the arrival of the AOC. This is a landscape that has been largely forged out of the activities of wine growing and making, where wine production has been crucial in the socioeconomic development of the area, even if wine making in Cigales was characterized by negligible innovation until the first half of the XXth century. Each of the stages of wine making and its associated activities has had an impact on a wide range of literary and iconographic works. We chartered the presence of wine related motifs and compared the oral record and classical and modern literary works. This has allowed us to establish a continuity of themes in both the iconography and the classical and oral sources, and to track its disappearance with the ascendance of modern literature and iconography at the turn of the XXth century. We explore also the place of wine in the local medical and gastronomic traditions, and its role in the region’s religious festivals. The study illustrates the extent to which wine in Cigales has been a crucial factor in shaping the economic and cultural landscape of the area, and its place at the centre of the interactions between the history, culture, economy and sociology… It allows us to record the interdependence of human beings and their natural habitat, and the ways in which they influence each other

Abstract:
L'odeur et l'arôme de trente vins de pinot noir de Bourgogne, échantillonnés chez différents viticulteurs de Côte d'Or, ont été évalués indépendamment au nez et en bouche par un jury entrainé selon le protocole du profil sensoriel quantitatif. Vingt descripteurs, dont 40% de termes fruités, ont été mis au point par le panel pour caractériser des vins. La comparaison des résultats issus des deux dégustations par des analyses statistiques montre que les données issues des évaluations orthonasales et retronasales sont en partie redondantes. Un effet du style de vinification est notamment observe dans les deux modes : les vins d'un même viticulteur obtiennent des scores sensoriels comparables. Néanmoins, l'étude de la matrice des différences des scores entre les deux modes montre que les sujets ont plus de poids que les vins dans l'interprétation des dissemblances. Les performances des juges, et leur utilisation des descripteurs, ne sont en effet pas équivalentes dans les deux dégustations. Le rôle organoleptique de quatre esters, le dihydrocinnamate d'éthyle, le cinnamate d'éthyle, l'anthranilate de méthyle et l'anthranilate d'éthyle, suspectés d'avoir un impact aromatique important, a été évalué pour tenter d'expliquer les notes fruitées trouvées dans les trente vins. Les concentrations en ces substances ont été déterminées par dilution isotopique, et corrélées avec les descripteurs sensoriels. Bien que les teneurs semblent caractéristiques de l'origine viticole des vins, les résultats des corrélations, ainsi que ceux des tests discriminatifs entre vins avec et sans ajout d'esters, montrent que ces molécules ne jouent probablement aucun rôle dans l'arôme des vins de pinot. De nouveaux composés odorants potentiellement actifs ont été proposés d'après l'analyse olfactométrique en fréquences de citation des extraits solvant et headspace de quatre vins de pinot noir sensoriellement très différents.

Abstract:
We introduce the value iteration network (VIN): a fully differentiable neural network with a `planning module' embedded within. VINs can learn to plan, and are suitable for predicting outcomes that involve planning-based reasoning, such as policies for reinforcement learning. Key to our approach is a novel differentiable approximation of the value-iteration algorithm, which can be represented as a convolutional neural network, and trained end-to-end using standard backpropagation.We evaluate VIN based policies on discrete and continuous path-planning domains, and on a natural-language based search task. Fisk utgör en av kvalitetsfaktorerna för att bedöma ekologisk status i svenska vattendrag. VattendragsIndeX (VIX) är idag det huvudsakliga svenska fiskindex som används vid statusklassificering inom den bedömningsgrund som är framtagen för fisk i rinnande vatten. Att ålen (Anguilla anguilla) ofta har en omotiverat negativ påverkan på VIX är ett problem som är känt i områden där ål regelbundet fångas vid elfiske, eftersom fiskfaunans indexbedömda status tenderar att bero på huruvida ål fångas eller ej. I en vetenskaplig utvärdering där ålens effekter på VIX granskades dras slutsatsen att ålens negativa effekt har att göra med artens klassificering som ”tolerant” i VIX-beräkningarna (Näslund m.fl., 2022a ). Dessutom föreslår den vetenskapliga granskningen att expertbedömning av kvalitetsfaktorn fisk borde krävas i de fall där ål fångas. Detta på grund av att ålens negativa effekt på statusbedömning med VIX och målen i ålförvaltningsplanen står emot varandra; det går inte att stärka ålens förekomst i Sverige utan att samtidigt riskera att den ekologiska statusen i många vattendrag minskar (givet att statusbedömningen baseras på VIX). För att underlätta rimlighets- och expertbedömning presenteras här en metod för att undersöka om fångad ål har negativa effekter på statusklassificering med VIX. Detta görs genom att räkna ut två modifierade VIX-värden: 1. VIXMOD1: ålen antas vara en neutral art vad gäller generell tolerans mot olika påverkansfaktorer. 2. VIXMOD2: ålen exkluderas helt från beräkningarna. Den första modifieringen VIXMOD1 bibehåller ålens bidrag till artmångfalden i provfiskefångsten utan att ålens negativa effekt på VIX (som tolerant art). Den andra modifieringen VIXMOD2 ger det värde på VIX som skulle erhållits givet att ålen inte skulle ha fångats i provfisket. I rapporten presenteras tre exempel där modifierade VIX-värden används i hypotetiska rimlighets- och expertbedömningar. Expertbedömningarna nyttjar dels modifierade VIX-värden, men även information om huruvida ålen förekommer naturligt på platsen, om utplantering av ål har skett, ålens storleksfördelning, huruvida intoleranta arter förekommer och hur vanliga dessa är, samt trendutvecklingen för de vanligast förekommande arterna. VIXMOD1 och VIXMOD2 är i sig inte att beakta som egna index eller sidoindex till VIX, utan huvudsakligen verktyg som kan appliceras för rimlighetsbedömning och som en del av en expertbedömning. De ursprungliga VIX-värdena är inte direkt utbytbara med VIXMOD1 och VIXMOD2 vid rapportering av fisksamhällets status.
