Full textThe main aim of the thesis is to analyze relationships among family context, school context, and self-esteem in the prediction of three indicators of adolescent's adjustment Variables in the study were: 1. School variables: school violence, victimization, peer rejection, attitude towards authority, attitude towards transgression, attitude towards school, and teacher's perception of student.2. Family variables: family communication, parental support, and marital conflict.3. Self-esteem: family, academic self-esteem, social, and emotional self-esteem.Participants were 1068 Spanish adolescents (513 boys and 555 girls), ages ranged from 11 to 16 years old (mean age 13.7), and attending secondary education in four school of the Valencian Community. Following initial contact with head teachers of the schools, all teacher staff was informed of the objectives, procedure and relevance of the study. Also, a letter describing the study was sent to the parents who had to indicate in writing if they did not wish their child to participate in the study. Participants anonymously filled out the scales during a regular class. Results showed the relationship between family and school environments and the two kinds of problems at school considered, namely school violence (from the perspective of the aggressor and the victim) and peer rejection. This relationship has also been pointed out for the case of school adjustment. Firstly, aggressive rejected showed a more general negative profile based on a negative family environment, a low family and school self-esteem and a negative attitude towards school and studies. Secondly, family variables influence children's school adjustment in an indirect way, through their effect on social self-esteem and school violence. Marital strategies for managing conflicts based on violence or breaking-off involve less family resources (family communication and parental support). This dysfunctional frame is closely linked to violence at school and to social self-esteem, which are considered as a proximal factor when predicting school adjustment. Furthermore, results revealed that family relationships shows a direct association with violent behaviour and, contribute to a positive perception of school. Along this line, violent adolescents informed of having more problems at the family and school settings.

O trabalho aqui apresentado se insere em um campo de preocupações que giram em torno da relação estabelecida entre mulher negra adolescente e discriminação. Com ele, e a partir de entrevistas fechadas com estudantes secundárias, procuramos verificar se os projetos de vida e as perspectivas das mulheres negras estarão marcados por alguma experiência de estereotipagem, que absorvem o feminino e a raça como verdadeiros estigmas. Em um plano mais geral, a questão é saber se as condições de vida adversas no campo social- o que inclui as discriminações e os efeitos do machismo- marcam as mulheres negras adolescentes a ponto de negarem um futuro para elas. Mais especificamente, trata-se de saber se o estereótipo, enquanto mecanismo de violência simbólica, acaba por determinar subjetivamente o seu lugar social e o seu projeto de vida enquanto membro de uma sociedade marcada pelo racismo. É nossa hipótese que a questão racial e a questão de gênero, em algumas de suas variantes, ainda permanecem como referência- problema para o contigente de mulheres negras adolescente que pensam sobre suas vidas para além do ensino médio.
The present work inserts it self in a field of concerns that turn around the relation established between black adolescent woman and discriminations. What bases this work is to verify if the projects of life and the perspectives of these black adolescent women, will be marked by some experience of estereotipagem that absorb the feminine and the race as true stigmata. This fact finishes for determining its social place and its future while member of a definite society as racist. This process is understood in this work as violence. Specifically, the question is to know if, those that had obtained to survive the more general conditions of life, economic situation, discriminations, male chauvunist, etc, and the spite of all the problems of the public schools, the black adolescent women that enter and conclude the high schooI, have its projects of life marked by experiences of life contaminated by having suffered with situations from racial violence It´s our expectation to see proven that the racial question in some of its variants, still remains as reference problem for the contingent of black adolescent women that thinks on its lives for beyond the high schooI.

Resumo: Esta tese tem como objetivo compreender o funcionamento discursivo das denúncias de estupro formuladas nos Termos de Informação para apontar as posições-sujeito que atravessam esses documentos. Perguntamo-nos pelas possibilidades de identificação do sujeito na relação de denúncia de seu corpo violentado, pelos modos de resistência desse sujeito nas condições de produção que determinam o estupro. A perspectiva teórico-analítica adotada foi a da Análise de Discurso materialista. Trabalhamos com o relato do estupro apresentado nesses documentos, considerando as condições de produção e o processo sócio-histórico em que os sentidos são produzidos. Foi importante compreendermos, nesta pesquisa, a relação de alteridade constitutiva do discurso relatado, marcada em diferentes vozes discursivas. Na imbricação dessas vozes analisamos, especificamente, a contradição entre o sujeito-vítima e o sujeito-denunciante, abordando o funcionamento da imputação da responsabilidade do que é dito. Em meio à voz da instituição jurídica que sustenta os Termos de Informação, se produz a ilusão de que é a vítima quem fala
Abstract: This thesis aims at understanding the discursive functioning of rape charges formulated in Terms of Information to highlight the subject-positions that permeate those documents. We ask ourselves about the possibilities of identification of this subject in relation to his abused body and the ways he resists concerning the conditions of production which determine the rape. For that purpose, the analytical and theoretical perspective was provided by the materialistic discourse analysis. We worked with the rape account conveyed through those documents considering both the conditions of production and the historical and social process through which meaning is produced. The understanding of the relation of alterity which is constitutive of the reported discourse and is manifested through the different discursive voices, was of great relevance to this research. In the interrelation of those voices, we particularly analysed the contradiction between the subject as victim and the subject as accuser, addressing the functioning of the imputation of responsability of what is said. Along with the voice of the legal institution that sustains the Terms of Information, the illusion that the victim is the one who speaks is created.

O presente trabalho resulta de discussões em torno das relações entre o silêncio, como forma de linguagem, a experiência, sob a ótica benjaminiana e, os processos de violência que permeiam a sociedade e, em particular, os adolescentes. A partir das reflexões em torno da violência, tendo em vista os modos de anulação e de constituição de experiência como modo de vida e produção de sentidos, e vislumbrando o silêncio como uma possibilidade de significar, experimentar e manifestar a violência se constituiu como objetivo deste trabalho: discutir o silêncio e a experiência como formas de produção de sentidos, buscando suas relações com os modos de manifestação da violência. Como instrumento específico, para que a metodologia percorresse seu caminho, utilizamos um dos meios de comunicação de massa, o cinema. Durante o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, aventamos as possibilidades de olhares circularem por entre movimentos que desencadearam outros olhares, pistas e vestígios, nos guiando através do Paradigma Indiciário e possibilitando aberturas de produção de sentidos, de caminhos e descaminhos metodológicos, que apresentaram diferentes olhares sobre o percurso da pesquisa. Dessa forma, pensamos essa pesquisa enquanto processo, enquanto caminho, enquanto experiência. Não nos concentramos em interpretações que se encerrem apenas em um sentido, pelo contrário, nos esmeramos em permitir o olhar que vislumbra múltiplos sentidos, possibilitando que o produto da pesquisa também se torne veículo de transmissão de outros e novos conhecimentos
This work is the result of discussions about the relations between the silence, as a form of language, the experience, in the Benjaminian perspective, and the violence process that permeate the society and, in specific, the teens. From reflections around the violence, in view of the annulment’ modes and the experience constitution of as a way of life and senses’ production, and visualizing the silence as a possibility of the to signify, to try, and to express the violence is the objective of this work: discuss the silence and the experience as forms of senses’ production, seeking its relations with the modes of violence expression. As specific instrument, so that the methodology sprinting your path, employed one of the mass’ media, the cinema. During the research development, occurred the possibilities of the looks be spread around the movements that unleash other looks, tracks and traces, guiding us through the Ginsburg's Indiciary Paradigm and enabling production senses overture, the methodological paths or not paths, who presented different looks on the research trajectory. This form, we think this research as a process, while path, while experience. We not focused on interpretations which them only in one direction, on the contrary, up to allow multiple senses look envisaging, enabling the research product also becomes the vehicle of transmission to others and new knowledge

O presente estudo encontra-se vinculado à linha de pesquisa intitulada: Processos Formativos, Diferença e Valores, junto ao programa de Pós Graduação em Educação, e ao Laboratório de Desenvolvimento Humano da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Estadual Paulista. Nesse sentido, o nosso objeto de estudo é o bullying que vem ganhando destaque dentro do cenário acadêmico nacional, como uma dentre várias dimensões da violência dentro do ambiente escolar. Adotamos como perspectiva teórica compreender o bullying para além de determinismos biológicos que justificam a condição tanto de indivíduos perpetradores dessa violência e daqueles predispostos a sofrerem suas consequências. Assim, os nossos objetivos foram identificar as percepções de adolescentes e as propostas de enfrentamentos por eles indicadas frente ao bullying, em escolares de 8as séries do Ensino Fundamental. A pesquisa foi dividida em duas fases, sendo que na primeira procedemos à aplicação do questionário SCAN-BULLYING elaborado pelas autoras portuguesas Almeida e Caurcel (2005), junto a 37 alunos de duas escolas públicas estaduais. Alguns dos termos do instrumento original foram traduzidos para a grafia utilizada no Brasil, bem como foram contextualizados a partir de aplicação do questionário piloto. O questionário versou sobre o entendimento que os alunos têm sobre o bullying, bem como as formas de enfrentamentos por eles indicadas, a partir de uma prancha que ilustrava dez situações de perseguição a um (a) aluno (a), e que serviu para que os mesmos refletissem acerca das questões propostas. Na segunda fase realizamos uma entrevista com 03 alunos de cada turma, que concordaram participar dessa fase da pesquisa, totalizando assim uma amostra de 06 sujeitos. This study is connect to the research line “Formative processes, difference and values”, at the Program of Graduate Studies in Education, and it is linked to the studies carried out by the research group “Laboratory of Human Development” (LDH) at FCT/UNESP. The focus of this study is the bullying, it is standing out in the national academic scenario, as one of the various dimensions of violence in the school environment. We adopt as theoretical approach the comprehension of bullying beyond the biologic determinism that justifies the condition of the individuals in this violence and those individuals that might suffer consequences from it. This research has as a main purpose to identify the perceptions of teenagers and their ways about how to confront bullying. The participants of the research were students of Junior High School (9th grade). The research was divided into two parts, the first one we applied the survey SCAN-BULLYING, developed by the Portuguese researchers Almeida and Caurcel (2005). There were 37 students of two state public schools who answered the questions. Some of the words written by the researchers were translated into Brazilian Portuguese keeping the original context of the survey. The survey talked about the understanding that the students have about bullying, and also about the way they confronted it. It illustrated ten situations of a persecution to a student, and that illustration was used for them to reflect about the questions provided in the survey. On the second part, we made an interview with 03 students of each class, that agreed to participate in this part of the research, it was a total of 06 students. The interview was the same for everybody, and the questions were about their interpretation of the illustrated story, and they had to answer about what they could have done according to the facts... Full textIn this work,an abbreviated questionnaire has been written out to measure authoritarian attitude in adolescents, which has shown a good reliability in the survey sample answers. Later, we have analyzed the relationship among the different elements of authoritarianism. We have also related its measure to several personal, socio-demographic and environmental factors in ordre to determine, through the logistic regression analysis,possible risk and protection factors to take into account in preventive activities. The authoritarian attitude has been defined as some regularity in the individual feelings,thoughts and bias thet will make him exercise violencie and discrimination towards those individuals who are thoght to be different or inferior. The extent of it has been determined through the measure of attitudes and beliefs present in the main manifestations of discrimination and violencie among adolescents, namaly sexism, violence justification and repulse of inmigratión.
