IBTS trålexpedition i Västerhavet genomförs två gånger årligen, i kvartal 1 och 3, och täcker Kattegatt, Skagerrak och delar av östra Nordsjön. Under expeditionen genomfördes totalt 50 godkända tråldrag med bottentrålen GOV, 5 i Nordsjön, 26 i Skagerrak och 19 i Kattegatt. Fångsten utgjordes av bl.a. 8,8 ton sill, 3,7 ton skarpsill, 7,5 ton kolja, 3,7 ton vitling och 296 kg torsk, sammanlagt 66 fiskarter med en totalfångst av ca 32 ton.
