Abstract:

Visualising the Insivible is a project whose final materialization reflects upon our connection with information and how it can immediately affect the way we view the world beyond and around us. Throughout my research and the development of this project, several “meta-words” relevant to this project had to be considered: respect, dignity, integrity and information accuracy, thus redefining a challenge within a challenge and, more concretely, the need to contemplate upon a topic of our time that happens to influence politics and society alike, locally, but with a global effect and long term imp

Abstract:
Accident is a metaphor for life. From an arbitrary point in time, we potentially preview the entirety of existence. There is a Chinese idiom called “ blessing or bane,” which implies that a misfortune may perhaps soon turn into a blessing. Focusing on accident as a design method implies making the best out of a bad situation. An accident reveals invisible circumstances and potentialities in the world, both familiar and unfamiliar. Looking into the unpredictable world, I can begin to release my control, take a breath, and see what might happen if I do not fight the situation. I am able to get o

Abstract:
This study explores how character design guidelines can be combined and remixed to create characters whose motivations are ambiguous to the viewer. I investigate some common guidelines that character artists generally follow when designing characters; summarized in a literature review, and then I test various applications of these guidelines through online surveys. I analyze the qualitative data from these surveys to answer the question of how flexible these guidelines are and how far they can be stretched. The study includes the design guidelines for color, shape and posture of the character,

Abstract:
This study attempts to explore and elucidate the nature of the Diaghilev Ballets Russes' production of Le Pas d'Acier, (1927). Its focus is the contribution of the Russian artist and scenic designer, George Jakulov. The thesis is accompanied by a model through which the study has undertaken a practical exploration of Jakulov's designs for Le Pas d'Acier, and the problems and possibilities of their reconstruction. Focussing on Jakulov's set design, this study explores the problems involved in the historiography of Le Pas d'Acier, producing a `natural history' of the research process. The study
