Abstract:
As a significant part of information security, Visual Cryptography (VC) is a secret sharing approach which has the advantage of effectively obscuring hints of original secret. In VC, a secret image is separated into partitions which are also known as VC shares. The secret is only able to be revealed by superimposing certain shares. Since Basic VC is in a structure which is similar to that of Braille where white and black dots are arranged in certain orders, it is feasible to utilize the feature of Braille for the authentication of VC. In this paper, the authors will conduct an experiment embedding Braille into grayscale and halftone images as well as VC shares. The result indicates that the embedding of Braille has little impact on VC secret revealing and enhances the security of VC shares.

Abstract:
This article addresses the question of whether an introductory programming course can be taught using a Visual Language (Visual Basic) without compromising students' understanding of programming design concepts. One group of students took an introductory programming course using a text-based programming language (Qbasic) and a second group took the same course using a visual programming language (Visual Basic). At the end of the semester the two groups were compared on their understanding of the programming design concepts of sequence, selection, iteration, variables, and arrays. Based on this study with eighty-nine students, Visual Basic students master the programming design concepts at least as well as traditional BASIC students and in some cases better. Visual Basic appears to be an excellent choice for a first programming course.

The eye is a complex sensory organ that is responsible for vision. Within the protective sheath, each eye has receptors, a lens system for focusing light on receptors, and a nervous system for transmitting impulses from the receptors to the brain. Visual dysfunction can be caused by abnormal eye movements or changes in visual acuity, refraction, color vision, or accommodation. Visual dysfunction may also be a secondary effect of other neurological disorders. This narrative review aims to describe the structure of the eye in general and visual disturbances caused by the aging process and disorders of the protective structure of the eye.

Bronchial asthma (BA) and obesity are one of the major modern problem, requiring the development of an effective therapeutic strategy. The frequent combination of these diseases in one patient indicates the general pathophysiological mechanisms and future study for targeted drug exposure are needed. The endocannabinoid system is involved in a variety of physiological and pathological processes and can be considered as a general mechanism and a potential therapeutic target in asthma and obesity, the receptors of the system are expressed in many central and peripheral tissues. This signal system modulates the functions of the autonomic nervous system, immune system and microcirculation, plays an important role in the regulation of energy balance, metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids. The main research aimed at studying the functioning of this system was focused on neurology and psychiatry, while numerous scientific data demonstrate the importance of the participation of this system in the pathogenesis of other diseases. In particular, this system is involved in the mechanisms of obesity. The role of the endocannabinoid system in the pathogenesis of asthma is actively studied. The wide prevalence of the endocannabinoid signaling system and its regulatory role in the body opens up prospects for therapeutic effects in the treatment of asthma and obesity, as well as the possible phenotype of asthma, combined with obesity. The review is devoted to modern ideas about endocannabinoids, their receptors, mechanisms of action and their role in the pathophysiology of asthma and obesity. The therapeutic prospects and difficulties associated with the use of endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids in medicine are discussed.

One of the technology products that have taken an important place in our lives from the past to the present is power and motion transfer elements. Power and motion transfer elements are very important for users in terms of facilitating work transfer, easing the workload based on people and ergonomics. One of the basic building blocks of these transmission systems is cam mechanisms. Cam mechanisms consisting mainly of followers and cams; It performs a complementary task by transmitting the follower's movement to the cam assembly by direct contact. While cam mechanisms lighten the work load, it is a frequently preferred system because it takes up little space and contains few parts and allows for a wide range of movements. However, sensitivity to vibration and sudden shock effects and cost problems have led to the development of manufacturing methods of cam mechanisms. In this master's thesis, design and mathematical information about cam mechanisms and cylindrical cam mechanisms are given, and the design of a cylindrical cam mechanism with a vertical multiple output limb was carried out using computer-aided drawing programs Solidworks and Autocad. The use of multiple output limb cam mechanisms is increasing day by day in terms of the width of the work area and the possibility to work with other machines. For this reason, this work is intended to be a guide resource for the reader in industry and science for both cam mechanisms and cylindrical cam mechanisms. Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic programs were used in the calculations and designs, and the design details of the mechanism were revealed with the data and formulas entered into the program.

Computers have been playing an important role in Civil engineering discipline. The aid of programming languages is unfathomable in designing the Civil engineering structures like buildings, hydraulic structures etc. In this paper, the design of biaxial rectangular or square column is performed for three different columns for different ultimate loading and ultimate moments by an educational software written in Visual Basic (VB) 6.0. The user interface of this software gives results of percentage of minimum steel, area of the steel and orientation of steel bars in bi-axial column. The students expressed their improvement after introducing this robust software. The understanding level of subject by students is analyzed before and after using this software is presented in this paper.

Hal tersebut membuat proses dalam mencari sebuah informasi perpustakaan menjadi lama. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya sebuah aplikasi perpustakaan yang handal untuk mempercepat dan mempermudah proses informasi perpustakaan. Dalam merancang dan membangaun aplikasi perpustakaan MTs Miftahul Ulum Jragung digunakan metode <em>waterfall</em>, bahasa pemprograman <em>Microsoft Visual Basic</em> 2010, <em>database Microsoft Access</em> 2007 dan <em>UML </em>(<em>Unified Modeling Language</em>). Aplikasi perpustakaan terbukti mampu dalam proses kerjanya, mulai dari memberikan kemudahan bagi para pustakawan dan para pemustaka. Proses pengelolaan perpustakaan berbasis komputer membuat para pustakawan semakin mudah dalam memonitoring proses transaksi mulai dari pendataan anggota, pendataan buku, pencarian buku, peminjaman, pengembalian, dan pelaporan-pelaporan yang lian.</p><p class="BasicParagraph"><em>Manual library applications are still being applied at MTs Miftahul Ulum Jragung, namely, all workflows are still recorded in books, starting from attendance, registration for membership cards, borrowing and returning books. This makes the process of searching for library information a long one. Therefore it is necessary to have a reliable library application to speed up and simplify the library information process. The waterfall method, Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 programming language, Microsoft Access 2007 database, and UML (Unified Modeling Language) were used in designing and building the library application for MTs Miftahul 'Ulum Jragung. The library application is proven to be able in its work process, starting from making it easy for librarians and visitors. The library management process computer-based librarians make it easier for librarians to monitor the transaction process starting from member data collection, book data collection, book search, borrowing, return, and other reports.</em></p>

Data analysis in this experimental study used 2-way ANOVA with one treatment variable and one attribute variable. This research was carried out using experimental research methods. This research was conducted at the CNC/CADCAM Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. Research Results 1) Basic CNC learning outcomes of students who take part in learning using the approach Blended Learning higher than students who take learning using the Conventional Approach; 2) Basic CNC learning outcomes of students with ability spatial-visual high, higher than students with abilities spatial-visual low who jointly follow Basic CNC learning; 3) There is an influence of the interaction between learning approaches and spatial visual abilities on basic CNC learning outcomes; 4) Basic CNC learning outcomes of students capable of high spatial visuals who take part in learning with approach blended learning, higher than students with high spatial-visual abilities who follow learning with conventional approaches; 5) Basic CNC learning outcomes of students with low spatial-visual abilities who take part in learning with approach blended learning, lower than students with low spatial-visual abilities who follow learning with conventional approaches. The conclusion of this research is the basic CNC learning outcomes of students who take part in learning using the Approach <em>Blended Learning</em> higher than students who take learning using the Conventional Approach.

For how could visual analytic or consideration become less important than e.g. marketing, since designer becomes designer, if and only if he/she has certain competence in visual instead of academic-grade marketing? More after, this brief inquiry employs the method of literary study in conjunction with direct and indirect observation through the internet concerning design education and its practice, followed by critical reflections. The outcome of this study would be a firm recommendation for basic design engagement through the whole education years, since its descriptive-generative functions of visual are yet highly relevant, for they lie at the very core of visual communication design discipline itself.

Suatu citra mengandung beberapa pesan yang sangat sulit sekali untuk diterjemahkan. Salah satu kesulitan yang dihadapi dalam pengelohan citra ini adalah banyaknya kombinasi warna yang mencapai 16 juta kombinasi. Sehingga salah satu cara yang mungkin ditempuh adalah dengan membawa kebentuk dua warna yaitu hitam dan putih dimana warna ini akan lebih mudah di transformasikan ke bentuk lain.Metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesainan masalah dalam aplikasi pengenal gambar adalah dengan metode pencarian Heuristic. Dalam prosesnya metode Heuristic ini melakukan pelacakan gambar, representasi ulang gambar dan pembelajaran terhadap proses yang telah dilakukan serta menarik sebuah kesimpulan dengan berbekal pengetahuan yang didapatkannya. Beberapa proses yang dilakukan dalam aplikasi ini adalah proses deteksi tepi, proses representasi dan Pengenalan gambar. Proses-proses ini semua saling saling terkait guna menghasilkan efisiensi dan kecepatan akses bagi aplikasi dalam menentukan sebuah keputusan. Kata kunci : Citra, Gambar, Heuristik

Dalam sebuah pekerjaan tentu kita mengenal yang disebut gaji, pegawai mendapat gaji setiap bulanya. Pegadaian di kota sukabumi adalah sebuah kantor atau intansi yang mempunyai banyak pegawai. Disana masalah memberian gaji masih menggunakan sistem informasi berbasis komputer tapi belum menggunakan DBMS yang bisa mempercepat kerja terutama bagian keuangan karena berhubungan dengan pemberian gaji pegawai sangat memakan waktu dan tenaga. Dalam hal ini mencoba memberikan solusi untuk mempermudah dalam pekerjaan terutama bagian administrasi/keuangan. untuk itu saya mencoba memberikan sebuah program yang bisa menyimpan banyak data yaitu dengan menggunakan sistem informasi database Visual Basic 6.0
