This thesis introduces a visual composition approach for JavaBeans components, in compliance with the Component Oriented Software Engineering (COSE) process. The graphical modeling tool, COSECASE, is enhanced with the ability to build a system by integrating domain-specific components. Such integration is implemented by defining connection points and interaction details between components. The event model of the JavaBeans architecture is also added to the capabilities.

By first breaking down visual components and visual structure that are commonly used in image construction, this report will try to predict how a audience chooses to view an image. The difficulty of this pursuit is exacerbated in brain research by the limited number of stimulus responses that can be collected for a given human subject over the course of an experiment. Here, we investigate whether this potentiation in visual snow is specific to visual responses, by comparing ERPs linked to early, bottom-up perceptual versus late, top-down cognitive processes. Abstract:
Face recognition is a key human brain function as faces convey a wealth of information about a person's mood, intentions, interest, health, direction of gaze, intelligence and trustworthiness, among many factors. Previous studies gained from behavioural, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), electroencephalographic (EEG) and MEG studies have shown that face processing involves activity in many specialised areas of the brain, which are known collectively as the face processing system. The aim of this thesis has been to develop, apply and assess a novel technique of analysis in order to

Abstract:
This study examines a British Columbia school district's elementary art and instructional media programs and the role the District Resource Center plays in their implementation. The major purpose of the ivestigation was to determine how the District Resource Center can assist in the effective implementation of the visual arts component of the BC Elementary Fine Arts Curriculum/Resource Guide Book. Secondary purposes of the study were to determine: 1) how the District Resource Center's present art instructional media can be adapted to the proposed implementation strategy and 2) how the art inst

Abstract:
Web-based simulation (WBS) systems offer tradeoffs between user interactivity and hardware requirements striking to seek a balance between the differing concerns. Server-based systems offer little interactivity or concurrent visualization capabilities, while client-based systems have increased hardware requirements asking the user to provide high-end workstations. Concurrent visualization of simulation output proves execution intensive, or unusable in some situations. Creating an execution efficient and user friendly WBS system greatly improves user experience while gaining all of the benefits
