Abstract:
Six methods for sampling field populations of ovipositing sorghum midge, Contarinia sorghicola, in grain sorghum panicles were compared to an absolute sampling method. The methods evaluated were the visual, tap, remove, shake, beat-bucket, and grab. Population estimates obtained by visual examination were similar to absolute estimates when population density was low but significantly differed at mean midge densities above 9.2/panicle. The remaining sampling method density estimates were significantly less than the absolute method estimates. The visual examination method was relatively time eff

Abstract:
Introduction. Drusen of the optic nerve head are relatively benign and asymptomatic. They represent retinal hyaline corpuscles resulting from impaired axoplasmic transport of the retinal ganglion cells of optic nerve in front of the lamina cribrosa. They are usually detected accidentally, during a routine ophthalmologic examination. Most patients with optic disc drusen are not aware of the deterioration of their eyesight because of the slow progression of visual field defects. Damage in visual acuity due to optic disc drusen is rare. Case Report. A 27-year-old female patient in the sixth month

Abstract:
Introduction: There are several limitations of the Amsler chart as a screening tool due to its low sensitivity and high false-negative results. The Berkeley central visual field test (BCFT), which is a simple power-point presentation of a 50-point scoring system for the central 10-degree of the visual field, was devised as an alternative to the Amsler chart. Objectives: To compare the efficacy of measuring the central visual field using the Berkeley central field test (BCFT) and the Amsler grid test.Materials and methods: In a comparative and validity study, 30 subjects with maculopathy and 35
