Abstract:
In mobile robotics, visual perception in unknown environments consists mainly of two tasks: generation of a map and localization of the agent within it, using images as input. This problem is commonly called Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping ( Visual SLA M). This project aims of increasing the capacities of spatial reasoning in robotics systems based on cognitive vision. Baycsian formulation of visual mapping is extended to consider geometric properties for increasing of scene understand- ing. Visual attention is a process by which the Human Visual System (HVS) selects most important information from a scene. Visual attention models are computational or mathematical models developed to predict this information. The performance of the state-of-the-art visual attention models is limited in terms of prediction accuracy and computational complexity. In spite of significant amount of active research in this area, modelling visual attention is still an open research challenge. For highly developed coast areas promenade breakwaters have been increasingly built abroad. However, there are no promenade breakwaters until now in Taiwan. Therefore, it is important to set up available evaluation models for future constructions of promenade breakwaters. The purpose of this paper is to propose some fair evaluation models for promenade breakwaters so that they can pr

Abstract:
碩士
國立雲林科技大學
電機工程系碩士班
97
Recently, the wavelet based JPEG2000 algorithm has attracted significant attentions from researchers in image coding. JPEG2000 maximizes the PSNR value (or minimize MSE value) for each transmitted bit. However, it is well known that PSNR is not a good indicator for the perceptual image fidelity. Human visual perception is more sensitive to distortions in lower frequency components than higher frequency components. In this paper, we enhance JPEG2000 by introducing a process between wavelet transform and JPEG2000 called JND_SQ. JND_SQ allowed JPEG2000 to maxi
