Abstract:
Existing Freelancer Management Systems are not being adequately efficient, inconveniencing to a certain degree the freelance workforce, which comprises around 1.1 billion freelancers globally. This paper thereby aims to resolve the impediments of similar existing systems. Pertaining to the methodology, qualitative analysis was adopted. Interviews, participant observation, interface analysis, workshop documents, research papers, books and articles were used to draw data about similar applications. A web application was implemented to fulfil the objectives by using WAMP as a local development server, Visual Studio Code as a source code editor, and HTML, PHP, Python, SQL, JavaScript and CSS as programming languages along with Ajax for requests-handling functionalities, and already available APIs, and jQuery and Python libraries. The contributions brought forth are providing a shortlist of the best-qualified freelancers for each project via Machine Learning technique, generating an automated invoice and payment as soon as an entrepreneur supplies a monetary figure when approving the deliverable of a project, and enabling freelancers to sign contracts electronically to comply with business terms on one centralised repository, unlike existing systems which do not support these 3 features together on the same platform. The multivariate regression model used for intelligent hiring performs satisfactorily by yielding a R2 of around 0.9993.

Abstract:
Although the RISC-V ISA has not been around for long, it is a processor architecture that has been highlighted by many businesses and individuals for its low-cost and rapid pace of development. They are open-source-synthesizable hardware processors with minimal functionality that is ideal for current IoT applications involving simple sensors and actuator controls. Due to some qualities of hardware, they can operate in areas where software programs and applications cannot be used whereas, these software programs that run on such hardware equally help in understanding how hardware operates. This paper, therefore, proposes and discusses the design, implementation, and internal verification and test platform for a Reduced Instruction Set Code-V’s (RISC-V) Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), using an interactive desktop program for a 32-bit single-cycle processor. This paper developed a system that functions as interactive assistance to RISC-V's ISA design and debugger using a more user-friendly desktop UI application. The uniqueness of this design is the flexibility of testing and debugging that is possible through either the software interface or through hardware peripherals such as Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) protocols in FPGA or even both. These peripherals allow users to view the contents of the register files and RAM being utilized by the implemented processor on the FPGA. The proposed desktop User Interface program monitors and controls the sequential processing and states of a 32-bit single-cycle RISC-V processor’s operation on an FPGA. Contents of the proposed processor’s registers and memory are displayed alongside other temporal or internal data. Internal components such as Program Counters (PC), Random Access Memory (RAM), are displayed all through the proposed User Interface (UI) program and also through various peripherals on the FPGA board. The software program is implemented using C# programing language through Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The proposed hardware synthesizable processor core is implemented using Verilog Hardware Description Language (HDL) and synthesized with Xilinx Integrated Synthesis Environment (ISE) version 14.7. The proposed processor and its corresponding hardware test modules occupy 6476 Look-Up-Tables (LUT) and operate at a maximum frequency of 49MHz and its operation is verified on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The proposed processor and its test platform can serve as a good educational tool as well as a help for processor design engineers both experienced and beginners.

This paper proposes a new method for visual programming. Make full use of visual graph and visual studio, which are popular environment for visual interface development, the author developed some controls with some properties and events in visual graph, and then re-edit them in visual studio as the basic controls. With these basic controls people can do their visual programming without inputting work of text codes. Even a common developer can gain the software what they need by using some graphical component like building blocks. This may greatly improve development efficiency and avoid code rewriting greatly.

Abstract:
Almost every Android user application has some kind of user interface. Android programmers who create Xamarin.Forms applications and who uses the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment to do so can create user interfaces in the XAML (the Extensible Application Markup Language) or in the C# programming language. This paper deals with a comparison of creating this user interface by the first and the second way. We demonstrate the differences in the creation of Android application user interfaces in XAML and in C# by way of using two of our Android applications which were created by the Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 Enterprise, which work as text editors with the ability to store text to disc, and have user interfaces that are visually identical. However, the user interface of the first Android application was created in XAML with a C# support code, whereas the user interface of the second Android application was created entirely in C#. While comparing the source codes of the user interfaces of both these Android applications, we identify the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches to creating a user interface and we try to find out which of these approaches is better for maintaining and modifying user interfaces. In this study, we also contrast the processes of handling events of controls of a user interface created in the XAML code for the first Android application as well as that of the same user interface created in the C# code for the second Android application. Furthermore, we were interested in determining whether the different ways of creating user interfaces affected the execution time of basic operations that included disc files that were performed on the same data by both the applications. We assume that it does not fundamentally affect the execution time, and so, we performed an experiment to confirm or refute our assumption.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Developing a domain specific language (DSL) to express business policies requires modeling tools for eliciting, applying, and maintaining the knowledge of business experts. This study defines a DSL meta-model and prototype to create visual business models that conform to the Resource, Event, Agent-Enterprise Ontology (REA-EO). The meta-model specifies REA-EO modeling components, and the prototype provides a visual interface to design operational and policy-level models. Code-generation templates then transform design models into executable code that supports business applications. The study describes the capabilities of the prototype and validates its use in the context of a business case. Data Availability: The paper's software modeling prototype and its companion code-generation templates are available for research purposes as open-source Visual Studio extensions and are available by contacting the author.

A web interface is a web page or set of web pages that is a user interface for interacting with a service or device using HTTP and a web browser. The web interface has become widespread due to the proliferation of web browsers. One of the advantages of web interfaces is a simple appearance, as well as easy functionality when working in modern browsers. The main and most popular method of creating a web interface is to use HTML using CSS and JavaScript. But different implementations of HTML, CSS, DOM and other specifications in browsers can cause problems in the development of web applications and their subsequent support, but most browsers support these technologies (usually through various libraries, frameworks), Flash or Java applications can be used with ease because they give the web developer more control over the interface. Also, the web interface is an application that allows the client to interact with the server using special HTTP requests, as well as store information in a database on the server. Another advantage of the web interface is the absence of the need to install additional software, as modern operating systems come with a browser already installed.

This chapter explores using service-oriented computing to reengineer non-secure legacy software applications to create new secure target applications. Two objectives of this chapter are: (1) to analyze the architectural changes required in order to adopt new web technologies and cope with resultant vulnerabilities in source code; and (2) to measure the level of effort required to modernize software by adopting new web technologies and adding security countermeasures. To meet these objectives, a model-driven Scrum for Service-Oriented Software Reengineering (mScrum4SOSR) methodology was chosen and applied to a reengineering project. Scrum is employed to manage the reengineering project, as well as to measure implementation effort related to the modernization process. Further, a re-documentation technique called 5W1H Re-Doc is used to re-document the non-secure software application at a high level of abstraction in order to help project participants comprehend what is needed to identify candidate services for service-oriented reengineering. Case studies with and without security features are created for different types of applications - a desktop graphical user interface, a web application, a web services application, a restful web services application, and an enterprise service bus application.

Abstract:
This chapter presents a software tool to simplify application integration among enterprises. The visual environment provides facilities to display in a graphical interface the structure of databases and applications. By clicking in the appropriate tables, functions, and fields, enterprises could specify the data sources needed for integration. The details of the applications are extracted from WSDL and metadata definitions. Once the fields for every access are specified, integration code is automatically generated in either Java or C#. The chapter describes the visual tool and its use for automatic supply chain integration from metadata or WSDL descriptions. It describes how users specify the data elements and the integration links and how the code integrating the specified elements is automatically generated. The generated code uses Web services standards to integrate the specified sources.

Abstract:
The objective of this research is to develop a Virtual Teach Pendant for Android Cellphones (VTPAC) that is able to communicate with the robot model in the Visual Components software ⌈1⌉ ⌈2⌉. The VTPAC is a force multiplier that allows users to gain valuable teach pendant experience in labs with few robots, and makes the actual real-world robot time more valuable. It is also like a graduated driver’s license where the student must prove some proficiency with the VTPAC before being allowed to get behind the wheel. The VTPAC will be used to operate the real robot system too and will allow people to be trained without using real robotic systems in very safe environment. The VTPAC can be used for industrial training and can be integrated in the academic programs, especially for online courses. In this research, the Fanuc LR Mate 200iC robot and the Visual Components software have been selected as a case study. These choices were made because of the easy access to the Fanuc LR Mate 200iC and this interface by reason of it can control the robot the same way as the Teach Pendant in the real world. Using the robot kinematic theory to understand the Teach Pendant commands, the code was developed such that it respects the operating mode of the robot and all the security operations needed. For the VTPAC development we used Python to communicate with the Visual Components software to work as a client for the software. This can allow users to utilize its own cellphone as the teach pendant and the software as the robot, having a more real experience in a safe environment. The VTPAC has been implemented and tested successfully.

Abstract:
In order to decommission nuclear reactors and to improve the safety of BWR, it is important to estimate the falling behavior of molten core jet in the reactor vessel of BWR when an accident occurred as can be seen from Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. Since the BWR lower plenum is consisted with various complicated structures, it is suggested that the jet falling behavior is affected by these structures. Thus we are developing the numerical simulation method to estimate the molten core falling behavior in BWR. To verify the code for the case of the BWR core melt accident, it is necessary to obtain the experimental data and validate the code by comparing the numerical results with the experimental results. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of these structures on behavior of jet breakup and fragmentation, and to construct the benchmarks of the numerical simulation experimentally. We used molten core simulant material and simulate the molten core falling behavior, focusing on the hydrodynamic behavior. The 1/10 planar type test section simulated the arrangement of complicated structures in the BWR lower plenum is used. Jet injection experiments were conducted under some conditions that experimental parameters were flow rate and nozzle diameter. To clarify the influence of complicated structures on the jet behavior, experiments were performed in the conditions with and without structures. Jet falling behaviors were recorded by a high speed video camera. The fragment diameters were measured from image by means of image processing techniques. Visual measurement is usually used to measure fragment diameter, but it will contain the arbitrariness and the amount of fragments are small. Since the outline of fragment is easy to recognize by the difference of refractive index between gas and liquid, image processing for measuring the diameters is used in gas liquid flow. On the other hand, it is difficult to recognize the interface in liquid-liquid flow. We developed the new image processing filter for detecting the outline of fragments precisely and established the image processing method including this filter. We measured about ten thousand fragments precisely and automatically. The measurement of fragment diameter was implemented by the image processing method mentioned above. The histogram of fragment diameter distribution shows that it can be fitted by the lognormal distribution in condition with and without structures. We calculated the volume median diameters in all conditions. The diameters were smaller that depended on the increasing injection velocity. Comparing between condition with and without structures, the fragment diameters became small in condition with structures than without structures. Since the velocity of tip of the jet was larger in condition with structures (Saito et al., J. Nucl. Sci. Tech, 2015), the velocity gradient between the jet and ambient fluid also would be larger. The shear force strongly acting on the interface made the diameter small.

Abstract:
Abstract Development of software application for subsea engineering design and analysis is to a large extent based on codes and standards used in the offshore industry when considering subsea pipelines. In this paper a software is described which main purpose is to facilitate the design and analysis process and such that results and documentation are automatically generated to increase quality of documentation. Current scope is a standard calculation tool covering different aspects of design in compliance with relevant offshore codes. A modularization technique is used to divide the software system into multiple discrete and independent modules based on offshore codes, which are capable of carrying out task(s) independently. All modules in range operate from a project model that is accessed directly by other modules for analysis and performance prediction and allows design changes to flow through automatically to facilitate smooth communication and coordination between different design activities. All the modules have a number of common design features. The quality of an implementation of each offshore code in independent software modules is measured by defining the level of inter-dependability among modules and their interaction among them, and by defining the degree of intra-dependability within elements of a module. This modularization technique also includes other benefits, such as ease of maintenance and updates. The improvements are related to the objectives of a state-of-the-art procedure of performing engineering, design and analysis by use of offshore codes implemented in a software application. The application is developed in .NET C# language with MS Visual Studio Technology that provides a powerful graphical user interface well integrated in windows environment.

Abstract:
BIM uses are complex specific processes in architecture, engineering, construction, and operation mediated by Building Information Modeling technologies. Several initiatives are dedicated to detailing these uses in a standardized way, enumerating and describing them in terms of scope, benefits, process maps, required competencies, associated technology, and theoretical framework. Examples of these efforts are Penn State's Computer Integrated Construction Research Program (MESSNER et al., 2019), buildingSMART (2021), and BIM Excellence Organization (SUCCAR; SALEEB; SHER, 2016). This study presents the approach to educate, evaluate and assist Model Uses using templates (Model Use Templates - MUT) of the BIM Excellence Initiative (BIMe). The BIM use is called Model Use in BIMe terminology. In three years, starting in 2021, the initiative intends to detail all the domain model uses listed by the organization (BIMe, 2020). The domain model uses are organized in the series of capture and representation, planning and design, simulation and quantification, operation and maintenance, monitoring and control of buildings and infrastructures. In terms of domain model uses, there is the linking and extending series of BIM integrated to Facility Management, interfaced with the Internet of Things, linked to Enterprise Resource Planning, etc. The initiative developed a Construction Domain Model Use Template (MUT) and applied it as a demonstration for Clash Detection or MUT 4040. This summary will describe the template, its application to Clash Detection, and guidance on how to transform it into a template class to teach Clash Detection with BIM. The MUT consists of an extended description, software list, activity flow, and bibliography. This content is available in the BIM Dictionary associated with the equivalent term (https://bimdictionary.com/en/clash-detection/1). The extended description includes the corresponding term's definition, the detailed description, purpose, and an available online media-list. The detailed description presents the different types of use (e.g., hard, soft, time-based) and benefits. The software list lists platforms and environments used in the model use development. For each platform or environment, there is a list of the vendor or developer, the corresponding technical functionality, the applicable discipline, the software description, the availability of the software in the cloud or location, differentiation of versions, the link to the official website, the model use code that the software can support, specific functionalities associated with the use and availability of a plugin or extension. The activity flow is described using a process map and details in up to 3 hierarchical levels for each macro activity. All the terminology adopted in the MUT is semantically aligned to the various projects and initiatives of BIM Excellence, bringing consistency to the meaning. In the case of MUT 4040, that is, the application of the template for the model use of Clash Detection, the short description is a “Use of the Model representing the use of 3D Models to coordinate different disciplines (e.g., structures and air-conditioning) and to identify/resolve possible conflicts between virtual elements prior to actual construction or fabrication”. The extended description presents the Clash Detection as automated or semi-automated procedures to identify design errors in 3D models, where objects occupy the same space or are too close to violating spatial restrictions. Time-based interferences are conflicts involving temporary objects that compete for the same space at the same time. The benefits are listed, for example, like better project coordination and quality; conflict reduction in the workplace; acceleration of design and delivery processes; and cost reduction through productivity increase. The available online media does not represent the entire process involved in Clash Detection and are generally restricted to confronting models on specific platforms. We advocate that the activity flow should structure the class of model uses in BIM education. In this way, there is a holistic and representative approach to practice. Thus, we advise escaping this model's understanding in a restricted and instrumental way, as it already occurs in most of the online media found. We propose to organize the class program by the macro stages of the activity flow, covering: (i) creation of the strategy for the clash detection in the project in question; (ii) preparation of specific models for federation; (iii) identification of federation environments or model integration; (iv) federation or integration of models; (v) checks for interference in the federated or integrated model; (vi) analysis of the conflicts identified; and (vii) referral to conflict resolution. The details of each of these activities in the template can guide the teacher on how to proceed or prepare educational content. The bibliography listed in the template covers the theoretical framework to support the class in terms of books, scientific articles, and BIM guides. One can develop the class at the level of graduation, extension, or continuing education. Being an undergraduate class, it can be mandatory or elective. Items (i) to (iii) make up the theoretical part of the class, and the rest are essentially practical content. Thus, two types of competency assessment are possible: knowledge and skills. Knowledge can be developed through discussions and seminars. Skills covered are associated with execution or domain skills, according to Succar, Scher, and Willams (2013). Execution skills are associated with learning model verification platforms and collaboration environments. The execution competence generates an instrumental skill that can be provided through individual online training with tutorials. Domain skills are essentially technical (analysis and simulation) and functional (collaboration). These skills must be instigated in a participatory and collaborative way in practical exercises involving cycles of verification of the federated model and adjustments of complementary projects' models. As a suggestion for support material, the teacher should prepare a dataset including models with errors in file naming disobeying conventions, errors in the control elements impacting the overlapping of models, errors of omission or duplication of elements in the models, and errors of data schema in terms of categorization of elements and classification of content. The models must also include issues of all types (hard, soft, and temporal interferences). Errors must be plausible to be identified by different types of verification: visual or script.
