Abstract:
Existing Freelancer Management Systems are not being adequately efficient, inconveniencing to a certain degree the freelance workforce, which comprises around 1.1 billion freelancers globally. This paper thereby aims to resolve the impediments of similar existing systems. Pertaining to the methodology, qualitative analysis was adopted. Interviews, participant observation, interface analysis, workshop documents, research papers, books and articles were used to draw data about similar applications. A web application was implemented to fulfil the objectives by using WAMP as a local development server, Visual Studio Code as a source code editor, and HTML, PHP, Python, SQL, JavaScript and CSS as programming languages along with Ajax for requests-handling functionalities, and already available APIs, and jQuery and Python libraries. The contributions brought forth are providing a shortlist of the best-qualified freelancers for each project via Machine Learning technique, generating an automated invoice and payment as soon as an entrepreneur supplies a monetary figure when approving the deliverable of a project, and enabling freelancers to sign contracts electronically to comply with business terms on one centralised repository, unlike existing systems which do not support these 3 features together on the same platform. The multivariate regression model used for intelligent hiring performs satisfactorily by yielding a R2 of around 0.9993.

Abstract:
Although the RISC-V ISA has not been around for long, it is a processor architecture that has been highlighted by many businesses and individuals for its low-cost and rapid pace of development. They are open-source-synthesizable hardware processors with minimal functionality that is ideal for current IoT applications involving simple sensors and actuator controls. Due to some qualities of hardware, they can operate in areas where software programs and applications cannot be used whereas, these software programs that run on such hardware equally help in understanding how hardware operates. This paper, therefore, proposes and discusses the design, implementation, and internal verification and test platform for a Reduced Instruction Set Code-V’s (RISC-V) Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), using an interactive desktop program for a 32-bit single-cycle processor. This paper developed a system that functions as interactive assistance to RISC-V's ISA design and debugger using a more user-friendly desktop UI application. The uniqueness of this design is the flexibility of testing and debugging that is possible through either the software interface or through hardware peripherals such as Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) protocols in FPGA or even both. These peripherals allow users to view the contents of the register files and RAM being utilized by the implemented processor on the FPGA. The proposed desktop User Interface program monitors and controls the sequential processing and states of a 32-bit single-cycle RISC-V processor’s operation on an FPGA. Contents of the proposed processor’s registers and memory are displayed alongside other temporal or internal data. Internal components such as Program Counters (PC), Random Access Memory (RAM), are displayed all through the proposed User Interface (UI) program and also through various peripherals on the FPGA board. The software program is implemented using C# programing language through Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The proposed hardware synthesizable processor core is implemented using Verilog Hardware Description Language (HDL) and synthesized with Xilinx Integrated Synthesis Environment (ISE) version 14.7. The proposed processor and its corresponding hardware test modules occupy 6476 Look-Up-Tables (LUT) and operate at a maximum frequency of 49MHz and its operation is verified on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The proposed processor and its test platform can serve as a good educational tool as well as a help for processor design engineers both experienced and beginners.

A tecnologia está cada vez mais presente em nosso cotidiano e, o desenvolvimento de novos projetos, vem se tornando uma estratégia de negócio para muitas organizações, sobretudo, aquelas que desenvolvem aplicativos. Neste contexto, diante do isolamento social causado pelo COVID-19, o objetivo deste trabalho foi desenvolver um aplicativo gratuito, chamado de Tabler, para reunir grupos adeptos ao RPG (Role Playing Game – Jogo de Interpretação de Papéis) de mesa devido à dificuldade de se encontrarem fisicamente. Para o desenvolvimento do Tabler, foram utilizados os seguintes sistemas / ferramentas para internet; são eles: o Visual Studio Code para desenvolver o front-end e o back-end, o React Native para a montagem das telas, o módulo Axios para facilitar o uso das APIs (Application Programming Interface), a linguagem de programação Golang em conjunto com o módulo Mux para criar o servidor web onde as APIs são hospedadas e, por fim, o MySQL, para a modelagem do banco de dados. Além disso, utilizou-se o guia PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) como metodologia de gestão de projetos. Como resultado, foi possível desenvolver um aplicativo com interface gráfica interativa, responsiva e de fácil utilização pelos usuários. Nestas condições, conclui-se que o PMBOK foi essencial na gestão e no planejamento do aplicativo e, as tecnologias utilizadas, foram essenciais para o seu desenvolvimento.

This paper proposes a new method for visual programming. Make full use of visual graph and visual studio, which are popular environment for visual interface development, the author developed some controls with some properties and events in visual graph, and then re-edit them in visual studio as the basic controls. With these basic controls people can do their visual programming without inputting work of text codes. Even a common developer can gain the software what they need by using some graphical component like building blocks. This may greatly improve development efficiency and avoid code rewriting greatly.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pengumpulan data dengan cara studi pustaka atau tinjauan pustaka, metode perancangan database dengan menggunakan metode DBLC (database life cycle) yaitu perancangan konseptual yang dibuat menggunakan UML (Unified Modelling Language). Sedangkan metode perancangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metode SDLC (software development life cycle) yaitu metode waterfall yang terdiri dari Analysis, Design, Code, dan Test. Pengujian menggunakan metode black box, sistem telah bekerja sesuai rancangan,setiap kesalahan yang dilakukan saat pengisian form akan menampilkan notifikasi penolakan. Hasil yang dicapai adalah tersedianya aplikasi pembayaran berbasis web yang mendukung kegiatan staff administrasi dalam melakukan pekerjaaannya serta membantu user dalam memperoleh informasi dengan cepat. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah bahwa dengan di rancang dan dibuatnya aplikasi pembayaran berbasis web ini untuk membantu admin studio dalam menjalankan penyewaan studio berbasis web secara GUI (Graphical User Interface) agar dapat mempermudah admin dalam menjalankan aplikasi.</p>

Almost every Android user application has some kind of user interface. Android programmers who create Xamarin.Forms applications and who uses the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment to do so can create user interfaces in the XAML (the Extensible Application Markup Language) or in the C# programming language. This paper deals with a comparison of creating this user interface by the first and the second way. We demonstrate the differences in the creation of Android application user interfaces in XAML and in C# by way of using two of our Android applications which were created by the Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 Enterprise, which work as text editors with the ability to store text to disc, and have user interfaces that are visually identical. However, the user interface of the first Android application was created in XAML with a C# support code, whereas the user interface of the second Android application was created entirely in C#. While comparing the source codes of the user interfaces of both these Android applications, we identify the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches to creating a user interface and we try to find out which of these approaches is better for maintaining and modifying user interfaces. In this study, we also contrast the processes of handling events of controls of a user interface created in the XAML code for the first Android application as well as that of the same user interface created in the C# code for the second Android application. Furthermore, we were interested in determining whether the different ways of creating user interfaces affected the execution time of basic operations that included disc files that were performed on the same data by both the applications. We assume that it does not fundamentally affect the execution time, and so, we performed an experiment to confirm or refute our assumption.

ABSTRACT Developing a domain specific language (DSL) to express business policies requires modeling tools for eliciting, applying, and maintaining the knowledge of business experts. This study defines a DSL meta-model and prototype to create visual business models that conform to the Resource, Event, Agent-Enterprise Ontology (REA-EO). The meta-model specifies REA-EO modeling components, and the prototype provides a visual interface to design operational and policy-level models. Code-generation templates then transform design models into executable code that supports business applications. The study describes the capabilities of the prototype and validates its use in the context of a business case. Data Availability: The paper's software modeling prototype and its companion code-generation templates are available for research purposes as open-source Visual Studio extensions and are available by contacting the author.

Lecturer Evaluation System (e-CEvas) is used to measure lecturers’ strength and weaknesses every end of semester by the students. However, the current lecturer evaluation system had many problems such as slow performance, limited interactivity, loss of states and the data transmission had redundant code that was unnecessary in each page. To overcome those stated problem, AJAX technology is used to make the lecturer evaluation system much faster, easier to use, more reliable and increase the performance. This study applied AJAX technology in the development together with Visual Studio Ultimate 2012 as the editor, ASP.NET C# language for coding and SQL Server as the database. V-model framework approach was used in developing this research study which involves requirement analysis, system design, architectural design, module design, unit testing, integration testing, system testing and acceptance testing. Microsoft Visual Studio Web Performance and Load Testing software is used to measure the performance of AJAX technology and the result shows that differences of response time proved that AJAX is powerful web development technique for programming. User Acceptance Test was carried out to measure the satisfaction of users when using e-CEvas which the result shown that most respondents are agree to all instructions in the system and the organization of information on the screens is clear.

The 3M protocol (washing hands, wearing masks and keeping a distance) makes community services that interact directly with the community must be limited. The creation of a Web-based E-village is intended to assist in improving village community services, namely services related to writing letters and information about villages, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. E-viilage is a web-based application developed using an open source application, namely the Codeigniter framework with the MVC model (Model View and Control). The method of research and system development in this study uses the Waterfall model which includes needs analysis, system design, writing program code, program testing, program implementation and maintenance. This application was built using Visual Studio Code with PHP programming language and Codeigniter Framework and supported by MySQL Database. The conculsion of this study are: (1) Web-based E-village application has been produced at the Pesisir Besuki Village Office. (2) This application can help and facilitate community service, namely writing services at the Pesisir Besuki Village Office, from external test results with proper status an 79.2%

The article discusses the development of a web-resource for the department of cartography and geoinformatics. This development of the information resource includes the necessary minimum for viewing the information not only for applicants, but also for students, as well as for the teaching staff. In the course of the work, a site layout was designed in the style of the SSUGT main web-resource. As the development environment, the selected text editor by Visual Studio Code from Microsoft. The resource obtained as a result of web development can be used to store information inside the a single space and provide information to prospective students, students and teaching staff.

Salah satu game yang sedang banyak berkembang dan diminati saat ini adalah FPS multiplayer dengan basis mobile. Salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh dalam hal ini adalah besarnya ketergantungan masyarakat sekarang terhadap smartphone (ponsel pintar). Namun kebanyakan game yang beredar hanya berisi hiburan semata. Atas dasar inilah penulis bermaksud untuk menyisipkan unsur budaya lokal yang akan diangkat ke dalam game tersebut yaitu budaya lokal suku Dayak Kalimantan Tengah yang penulis anggap cukup bagus untuk diangkat menjadi sebuah game multiplayer dengan menggunakan fitur Unity Network. Proses pembuatan game menggunakan bahasa pemrograman C# serta beberapa software pendukung yaitu Unity, Blender, Visual Studio serta Android Studio untuk pembu-atan game, object design dan user interface. Pada game ini juga dapat di manfaatkan sebagai penyampaian unsur budaya lokal suku Dayak Kalimantan Tengah.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate the feasibility of creating a declarative user interface language suitable for rapid prototyping of mobile and Web apps. Moreover, this paper presents a new framework for creating responsive user interfaces using JavaScript. Design/methodology/approach – Very little existing research has been done in JavaScript-specific declarative user interface (UI) languages for mobile Web apps. This paper introduces a new framework, along with several case studies that create modern responsive designs programmatically. Findings – The fully implemented prototype verifies the feasibility of a JavaScript-based declarative user interface library. This paper demonstrates that existing solutions are unwieldy and cumbersome to dynamically create and adjust nodes within a visual syntax of program code. Originality/value – This paper presents the Guix.js platform, a declarative UI library for rapid development of Web-based mobile interfaces in JavaScript.

Beringkit Animal Market is one of the large traditional animal markets in Bali which is famous for selling superior cows. In addition to selling superior cows, Beringkit Animal Market also sells dogs and various types of poultry such as chickens, ducks and roosters. However, in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, traditional markets are considered as the main cluster for the spread of COVID-19 due to the large number of interactions between buyers and traders. The implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) has resulted in a lack of income for traders at the Beringkit Animal Market. This study aims to design an Android-based online animal auction application as a medium for buying and selling animals to minimize physical interaction between buyers and traders, the online auction transaction process is chosen because the auction transaction process can bring together traders and buyers in the same online media and make offers up to reach the highest agreed price. The research method applied is the DSRM method or Design Security Research Method, application development uses Android Studio to develop mobile applications, and uses Visual Studio Code to develop web-based systems. Data storage and web server management in this study using MySQL and Laravel. The results of this study are in the form of an Android-based animal auction application that can be used as a medium for transactions between buyers and traders who have gone through the blackbox testing process with the test results as expected.

Pengguna internet di Indonesia telah mencapai 150 juta pada tahun 2019 yang mana angka tersebut mengalami kenaikan 13 persen atau sekitar 17 juta dari tahun sebelumnya, kemudian rata-rata setiap hari penggunaan waktu dengan internet yaitu selama 8 jam 36 menit. Perancangan website menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dan metode waterfall sebagai metode perancangan sistem. Digunakan diagram perancangan sistem berupa UML (Unified Modeling Language) yang terdiri dari usecase diagram dan class diagram serta ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram). Website dirancang dengan menggunakan framework CodeIgniter dengan tools Visual Studio Code dan MySQL sebagai sumber basis datanya. Pengujian dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan keberhasilan 100% dalam mengakses website diberbagai browser dan juga keberhasilan fungsi dari berbagai jenis interface yang dibangun.

The VISPA (VISual Physics Analysis) project provides a streamlined work environment for physics analyses and hands-on teaching experiences with a focus on deep learning. VISPA has already been successfully used in HEP analyses and teaching and is now being further developed into an interactive deep learning platform. One specific example is to meet knowledge sharing needs in deep learning by combining paper, code and data at a central place. Additionally the possibility to run it directly from the web browser is a key feature of this development. Any SSH reachable resource can be accessed via the VISPA web interface. This enables a flexible and experiment agnostic computing experience. The user interface is based on JupyterLab and is extended with analysis specific tools, such as a parametric file browser and TensorBoard. Our VISPA instance is backed by extensive GPU resources and a rich software environment. We present the current status of the VISPA project and its upcoming new features.

Encoder-Decoder network is usually applied to image caption to automatically generate descriptive text for a picture. Web user interface (Web UI) is a special type of image and is usually described by HTML (hypertext marked language). Consequently, it becomes possible to use the encoder-decoder network to generate the corresponding code from a screenshot of Web UI. The basic structure of the decoder is RNN, LSTM, GRU, or other recurrent neural networks. However, this kind of decoder needs a long training time, so it increases the time complexity of training and prediction. The HTML language is a typically structured language to describe the Web UI, but it is hard to express the timing characteristics of the word sequence and the complex context. To resolve these problems efficiently, a rapid combined model RCM (rapid combined model) is designed in this paper. The basic structure of the RCM is an encoder-decoder network. The word embedding matrix and visual model are included in the encoder. The word embedding matrix uses fully connected units. Compared with LSTM, the accuracy of the word embedding matrix is basically unchanged, but the training and prediction speed have been significantly improved. In the visual model, the pretrained InceptionV3 network is used to generate the image vector, which not only improves the quality of the recognition of the Web UI interface image but also reduces the training time of the RCM significantly. In the decoder, the word embedding vector and the image vector are integrated together and input into the prediction model for word prediction.

The rapid development of information technology has affected various aspects of life including education at the school level. However, conventional teaching and learning methods are still used in secondary schools, especially for Islamic subjects. One of the ways to help students learn better in Islamic subjects is by implementing a web-based content platform in the context of Islamic education. This is a learning tool to support the teaching and learning process using various media such as educational video materials for secondary school students, because multimedia elements will make learning more interesting especially for Islamic subjects that require memorization, reading, and comprehension. Another desired goal is for teachers to be able to manage their Islamic lessons online. In developing web applications, appropriate development methodologies have been implemented using Waterfall Model as a guideline. The waterfall model has different development phases such as analysis, design, implementation, testing and finally documentation. The web-based Islamic Education Content Platform (IECP) was designed and developed using Visual Studio Code with PHP and MySQL databases. It was assessed by obtaining Expert Review (ER) through a set of questionnaires given to four experts and fifteen respondents through User Acceptance Test (UAT). The results of ER indicate that web-based IECP is suitable for use and currently need to be refined and improved. Meanwhile, the UAT results show that web-based IECP is generally accepted and believed to be beneficial, especially to secondary school students and teachers.

Pemetaan zona ruang rawan bencana berbasis Sistem Informasi Geografis dibuat menggunakan software QGIS3 untuk pembuatan peta. pembuatan website menggunakan softaware Visual Studio Code, Database menggunakan MySQL, untuk visualisasi wilayah menggunakan geoJSON dan visualisasi peta menggunakan Leaflet. En la construcción del sistema se utilizó́ la herramienta Visual Studio Code como plataforma de programación soportado por una arquitectura de tres capas, Xamp como servidor de aplicaciones, Vue.JS como framework de desarrollo, Mysql edición libre como gestor de base de datos y la librería Bootstrap 4.0 para personalización de Front-End. Con una adecuada utilización del presente sistema se logra agilitar el proceso de control de asistencia y se llega a obtener un control optimo y dinámico de la información, además de ser un sistema cero papeles que ayuda a disminuir el consumo de recursos, para la fase de pruebas se realizó la implementación en el Instituto Superior Tecnológico Primero Mayo.

Background: In this work, a COVID19 Application Programming Interface (API) was built using the Representational State Transfer (REST) API architecture and it is designed to fetch data daily from the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) website. Methods: The API is developed using ASP.NET Core Web API framework using C# programming language and Visual Studio 2019 as the Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The application has been deployed to Microsoft Azure as the cloud hosting platform and to successfully get new data from the NCDC website using Hangfire where a job has been scheduled to run every 12:30 pm (GMT + 1) and load the fetched data into our database. Various API Endpoints are defined to interact with the system and get data as needed, data can be fetched from a single state by name, all states on a particular day or over a range of days, etc. Results: The results from the data showed that Lagos and Abuja FCT in Nigeria were the hardest-hit states in terms of Total Confirmed cases while Lagos and Edo states had the highest death causalities with 465 and 186 as of August 2020. This analysis and many more can be easily made as a result of this API we have created that warehouses all COVID19 Data as presented by the NCDC since the first contracted case on February 29, 2020. This system was tested on the BlazeMeter platform, and it had an average of 11Hits/s with a response time of 2905milliseconds. Conclusions: The extension of NaijaCovidAPI over existing COVID19 APIs for Nigeria is the access and retrieval of previous data. The current development of microcontroller technology can be used to build a presence system for employees. The employee attendance system uses radio frequency identification and facial identification which is designed and built to make it easier to do attendance data recording, so that the data obtained can be precise and accurate. Data collection techniques, namely by interview and observation. The application development process uses the PHP and Python programming languages ​​with Visual Studio Code software applications, Arduino Uno, MySQL software as a database server, and XAMPP as a support. The input used in this system is the employee's personal data and the results of employee face data retrieval which are stored in the .jpg format. The faces taken were taken from 4 people where each face was taken 20 face samples. The results are in the form of web and applications that will provide solutions to existing problems. The conclusion of this application makes it easy to do the recording and attendance, and minimize the fraud committed by employees. Retrieval of face data was taken as much as 20 data with the highest level of accuracy was 87% when the presence test was carried out.

Law No. 25 of 2009 regulates public services to provide clarity, one of which is the convoluted procedure in managing a permit. Therefore, an electronic licensing system was created that can provide easy and inexpensive services in order to help the community in terms of service by using JavaScript software as a webserver, NoSQL as a database server, visual studio code as authoring tools, python 3.7, at command, and gammu as SMS Gateway. For processing a license, it can be done at the web server address https://dpmptsp-polman.web.app/. In this system, there are 3 permits that became the research sample, namely Research Permits (SIP), Building Construction Permits (IMB) and Trading Business Permits (SIUP). The study was conducted at the Polwarimander Regency (DPMPTSP) office, an investment and one-stop service office. The survey method used is a qualitative survey method that uses interview, documented, and observational data collection techniques, both within the office and within the existing system. Results of the survey conducted made people who take care of permits no longer go back and forth in the office because the system designed can provide notifications via SMS Gateway with the implementation of python sending at commands via Gammu so that the system reads the programming code and sends information messages to the applicant that the letter has been submitted. has received permission from the head of service and can be directly taken on this system. This article analyzes Ian Hatcher’s online and kinetic poem “⌰ (Total Runout)” (2015) from a point of view of a critique of corporate and governmental black boxing, at the level of its code, text, visual output, sound, and live performance. The multimodal poem is part of the Drone Pilot suite, and it is presented in different versions: as a web-based work, sound piece, and performance. It remixes appropriated text from a WikiLeaked manual by the UK Ministry of Defence, essays on artificial intelligence, and Hatcher’s own text. The overall versions of the work, understood as variable events, boldly problematize communication and cognitive processes in networks—whether they are implemented in computer systems by secret agencies or corporations. Hatcher’s critique of black boxes entails re-creating issues of security, control and surveillance, as digital systems are increasingly paving the way for less privacy and less knowledge about their inner workings. As a result, the poem questions the essence of privacy, redaction, and systemic violence, when access is a privileged asset of agents with security clearances or those with a deep knowledge of programming. This article presents “⌰ (Total Runout)” in the scope of the poet’s aesthetic program. Then, it analyzes its Web version’s interface and source code. The kinetic poem’s spatial and temporal dimensions are discussed via experiments that modify the source code. The methods here presented deform the poem’s temporal display, by means of modifications, or what are called in the article lit mods. Thus, the article proposes an approach for a more informed reading and understanding of digital kinetic poems, since they are ever-changing events. Finally, it locates the work’s aural and performative versions in a cultural and political context.

Several pathologies can alter the way people walk, i.e., their gait. Gait analysis can be used to detect such alterations and, therefore, help diagnose certain pathologies or assess people’s health and recovery. Simple vision-based systems have a considerable potential in this area, as they allow the capture of gait in unconstrained environments, such as at home or in a clinic, while the required computations can be done remotely. State-of-the-art vision-based systems for gait analysis use deep learning strategies, thus requiring a large amount of data for training. However, to the best of our knowledge, the largest publicly available pathological gait dataset contains only 10 subjects, simulating five types of gait. This paper presents a new dataset, GAIT-IT, captured from 21 subjects simulating five types of gait, at two severity levels. The dataset is recorded in a professional studio, making the sequences free of background camouflage, variations in illumination and other visual artifacts. The dataset is used to train a novel automatic gait analysis system. Compared to the state-of-the-art, the proposed system achieves a drastic reduction in the number of trainable parameters, memory requirements and execution times, while the classification accuracy is on par with the state-of-the-art. Recognizing the importance of remote healthcare, the proposed automatic gait analysis system is integrated with a prototype web application. This prototype is presently hosted in a private network, and after further tests and development it will allow people to upload a video of them walking and execute a web service that classifies their gait. The web application has a user-friendly interface usable by healthcare professionals or by laypersons. The application also makes an association between the identified type of gait and potential gait pathologies that exhibit the identified characteristics.

The last decade has witnessed a growing interest in the development of web interfaces enabling both multiple ways to access contents and, at the same time, fruition by multiple modalities of interaction (point-and-click, contents reading, voice commands, gestures, etc.). In this paper we describe a framework aimed at streamlining the design process of multi-channel, multimodal interfaces enabling full reuse of software components. This framework is called the eXtensible Presentation architecture and Language (XPL), a presentation language based on design pattern paradigm that keeps separated the presentation layer from the underlying programming logic. The language supplies a methodology to expedite multimodal interface development and to reduce the effort to implement interfaces for multiple access devices, by means of using the same code. This paper describes a methodology approach based on Visual Design Pattern (ViDP) and Verbal Design Pattern (VeDP), offering examples of multimodal and multichannel interfaces created with the XPL Editor.

In the case of microorganisms, the decreasing cost of sequencing has enabled researchers to generate ever-larger sequence datasets, which in turn have begun to fill gaps in the evolutionary history of microbial groups. However, phylogenetic analyses of these types of datasets create complex trees that can be challenging to interpret. Scientific inferences made by visual inspection of phylogenetic trees can be simplified and enhanced by customizing various parts of the tree. Yet, manual customization is time-consuming and error prone, and programs designed to assist in batch tree customization often require programming experience or complicated file formats for annotation. Iroki, a user-friendly web interface for tree visualization, addresses these issues by providing automatic customization of large trees based on metadata contained in tab-separated text files. Iroki’s utility for exploring biological and ecological trends in sequencing data was demonstrated through a variety of microbial ecology applications in which trees with hundreds to thousands of leaf nodes were customized according to extensive collections of metadata. Nowadays the built heritage has been recognized as one of the main sectors that can support the economic and sustainable development of countries. In the last years, the built heritage has been subject to several levels of interventions, being now clear its need for a proper maintenance and conservation management. However, in several cases, the maintenance faces lack of building records, which makes the maintenance a harsh, long, and expensive process. Therefore, there is an opportunity and need to apply new technologies, like Building Information Modelling (BIM), as supporting tool to the management of historical heritage. By so, the aim of this work was the development of a management system to be used as a supporting tool to the maintenance and conservation of the existent buildings, in historical context, facilitating to the interested parties the automated and digitized information needed to carry out the most varied tasks, with the particularity to be directly connected to the 3D-BIM model of the building. But in order to test the developed system (its applicability and functionality), it was in an early phase, applied to a pilot project with the significant heritage value. This work follows a development methodology applied to the case study and had different phases: (1) the case study was modelled in Autodesk Revit software, in whose model was inserted all the parametric information and associated metadata; (2) then, a support database of the management system was developed in Microsoft SQL Server, which will support all the information exported from the BIM model; (3) a web application was developed in C# through Visual Studio 2015, which works through and application programming interface (API) allowing the communication between the web application and the BIM model, allowing not only the interaction with the parametric information of this one, but also, a persistent access to a data management system (drawings, inspection reports, specifications, etc.) that has been created. The development of the management system and its application to the case study allows us to show its potential as a tool for the historical heritage management, contributing to its permanent and constantly updated management and cross off the fragmentation and loss of information therefore reducing the consequent investment in data collection.

Abstract. We present a software toolbox that allows the efficient collection, management and maintenance of larger paleoceanographic data sets. The program combines a graphical user interface (GUI) with a simple document-based database and functionality for visualization, stratigraphy (visual alignment and radiocarbon calibration), age modelling and efficient ensemble time-series generation to create larger homogenous data compilations. Data can be imported from Excel or text files, are stored locally in netCDF format and can be easily exchanged between collaborating scientists. Within a data collection, data can be imported either to proxy-specific sub-collections or to a multi-proxy (“miscellaneous”) sub-collection that allows the import and management of any downcore data. A single age model is shared among all proxies of a core within a collection. The stand-alone software can be used with Windows and macOS and does not require web access.
