Abstract:
The article discusses the key points of the sociological study of the symbolic space of the city of Izhevsk, performed by T. A. Vlasova and K. N. Obukhov in 2019-2020 and the results, which the researchers have designed in the form of a monograph. When studying the problems of urban development, T. A. Vlasova and K. N. Obukhov managed to get away from the dry bureaucratic language inherent in official documents and reports, and create a «living» picture of the modern Russian city of Izhevsk, reflecting the opinion of the expert community living in this city and ordinary citizens. At the same time, the book contains a lot of «fairy tales», a thoughtful acquaintance with which can be useful both for scientists specializing in the study of the city and urbanism, and for practitioners implementing projects of urban improvement and the formation of the city's brand.

The author describes the history of the study and publication of the correspondence between B. V. Asafiev and N. Ya. Myaskovsky and explains why the complete publication of their letters, carried out by Ekaterina S. Vlasova, has become such a significant event. Based on the letters published by Ekaterina Vlasova, as well as other materials, including archival, the article traces the history of friendly relations between two prominent representatives of Russian musical culture, overshadowed by Asafiev’s unsatisfied composer ambitions and his cooperation with the Soviet regime.

Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to identify and show the means and ways of verbal transmission of non-verbal behavior, which testifies to the spiritual evolution of the central characters in Maxim Gorky’s novel “Mother”: Pelageya Nilovna Vlasova and her son Pavel. The object of study is the language units, by means of which facial expressions, gestures and other non-verbal behavior are transmitted, reflecting the spiritual evolution of the characters of this novel. The subject of the study is the means and mechanisms for the transmission of non-verbal meaning by its language intermediaries. The result of the analysis was the conclusion that in the novel “Mother”, non-verbal means as artistic details play an important role in conveying the evolutionary changes that occur in the spiritual life of the characters, allowing the author to give a capacious description of the heroes. Non-verbal means are realized in the text by describing situations with verbs, verbal phrases, epithets, comparisons, which give a visual representation of artistic images. Non-verbal means characterize each character, reveal the peculiarities of changes in their inner world, emphasizes the psychological state and character of the heroes. The portrait and psychological details of non-verbal means show us the maturity in the character of Pavel Vlasov — a strict, proud, staunch person, convinced of the correctness of what he is doing.

Abstract:
The reviewed study of A. Sinyavsky’s Strolls with Pushkin [Progulki s Pukhkinym] and In Gogol’s Shadow [V teni Gogolya] sets out to identify the principal narration strategies employed by the philologist and experimenter Sinyavsky, who in an unrestrained manner tackled the issues of the Russian studies of Pushkin and Gogol, as well as art and its functions. The book pays tribute to the writer’s unconventional philological studies: awarded a PhD at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Sinyavsky was a staff researcher at the USSR Academy of Sciences’ Gorky Institute of World Literature and a lecturer at MSU and the Moscow Art Theatre School. Sinyavsky’s narration owes its character to the use of ‘philological prose’ devices. The book’s authors successfully argue that analytical discursiveness reveals itself through the characteristics of a scholarly study: the setting of research goals, the overview of the problem’s background, the analytical method, the structural makeup of a study, and the introduction of references and footnotes. The reviewer notes that the authors’ well-argued acknowledgement of the relevance of Sinyavsky’s findings sets their book apart from other studies of the subject.

Abstract:
The powerful glutathione antiperoxidant system, which is involved in three of the four lines of defence, plays a leading role in providing antioxidant protection in the human body. It is represented by reduced glutathione and enzymes of its metabolism: glutathione peroxidase, glutathione transferase and glutathione reductase. Aim - to study the state of the glutathione antiperoxidant system of the oral fluid in adolescent smoking girls. Materials and methods. The study of indicators of the glutathione antiperoxidant system of oral fluid in 137 adolescent girls aged 18 to 24 years was conducted. The level of reduced glutathione was determined by the method of Travina O.V. (1955). The state of the system of glutathione-dependent enzymes was assessed by the activity of glutathione peroxidase - by the method of Vlasova SN et al. (1990); glutathione transferase activity - by the method of Vlasova SN et al. (1990); glutathione reductase activity - by the methods of biochemical studies edited by M.I. Prokhorova (1982). Results. In adolescent girls who smoke traditional cigarettes, the most pronounced decrease in reduced glutathione activity was observed, which was 2.1 times less than in non-smokers. In participants who regularly smoked electronic cigarettes (vapes), the average activity of reduced glutathione in oral fluid was 3.75±0.02 mlmol/l, and in people who regularly smoked tobacco heating devices (IQOS) - 3.67±0.02 mlmol/l, which was 1.5 times less compared to non-smokers. Changes in the functioning of glutathione-dependent enzymes in the oral fluid of the study participants were also found depending on the presence of a bad habit and type of smoking. The glutathione-dependent enzymes of the oral fluid were characterised by activation of glutathione peroxidase and significant deficiency of glutathione transferase and glutathione reductase. Conclusions. Thus, the changes in reduced glutathione and the system of glutathione-dependent enzymes of oral fluid in adolescent girls, which occur under the influence of smoking, depend on the type of smoking and are characterised by a decrease in the activity of reduced glutathione, glutathione transferase and glutathione reductase enzymes, as well as activation of the glutathione peroxidase enzyme. The study was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Helsinki Declaration. The study protocol was approved by the local ethics committee of the participating institution. Informed consent was obtained from all patients. No conflict of interests was declared by the authors.

Abstract:
Author’s individual style and its preservation in translation are a relevant issue of translation practices. This research is the first attempt in domestic linguistics to study Zadie Smith’s individual style and its manifestation in translation based on M. Yu. Mukhin’s analysis model. The methodology involved the methods of semantic interpretation, comparative analysis, content analysis, quantitative calculations, and linguistic analysis based on the conceptual profile model. The study featured Z. Smith's novel On Beauty and its translation performed by O. Kachanova and A. Vlasova. The analysis revealed the most frequent linguistic and stylistic means and denotative spheres and classes, e.g., such lexical means as simile, interjection, metaphor, allusion, and lexical repetition; various phonographic means, e.g., capitalization, graphic imagery, excessive punctuation, and graphon used to portray a wide variety of accents, etc. The official Russian edition conveyed the actual meaning and the lexical speech portraits by an effective use of various translation transformations, e.g., word order, lexical substitution, compensation, etc. In most cases, literal translation proved to be appropriate as it preserved the metagraphemic of the original text. However, the graphic fixation of the characters’ speech not always found its reflection in the translation text.

Abstract:
This is a study of the main aspects of the scholarly activities of Andrei Nikolaevich Vlasov (1955–2023), a famous archaeographer and folklorist, who was Head of the Department of Russian Folklore of the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkinskii Dom) of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The article focuses on Vlasov’s lifelong activities: his textual analysis of the hagiographies of northern Russian saints, his collection and publication of folklore sources and manuscripts, and his study of works by local historians. Vlasov considered the hagiographic texts from the Ustiug region in the context of the book and manuscript tradition of the 16th and 17th centuries. This approach allowed him to discern the historical and literary peculiarities of these hagiographic texts, to inquire about their origin, and to highlight the problem of the formation of regional literature. In the expeditions to the Russian North that Vlasov organized, he carried out both archaeographic and folklore studies. As a result of this field work, Vlasov and his colleagues published collections of folklore texts. After many years of studying local cultural traditions, the scholar became aware of the importance of all “written manifestations” produced by local residents and therefore began collecting them even more thoroughly. The authors of this article pay special attention to Vlasov’s work on the Svod russkogo folklora (Corpus of Russian Folklore) series.

Abstract:
Composite occasionalism is understood as a new formation, which is based on a syntactic complex acting as a multicomponent unity and characterized by a hyphenated connection of elements (for example, how-to-win-that-job articles, last-Friday-before-a-vacation feeling). The ways of translating complex occasionalisms in modern English-language novels into Russian are discussed in the article. The results of a comparative analysis on the material of five novels and their Russian translations are presented: “White Teeth” by Z. Smith (2000) — “Belye zuby” (translated by O. L. Kachanova, M. A. Melnichenko, 2005), “About beauty” by Z. Smith (2005) — “O krasote” (translated by O. L. Kachanova, A. N. Vlasova, 2010), “Do you know how to keep secrets?” by S. Kinsella (2003) — “A ty umeesh khranit’ sekrety?” (translated by T. A. Pertseva, 2019), “Love, Rosie” by S. Ahern (2005) — “Ne veryu. Ne nadeyus’. Lyublyu” [“I don’t believe. I hope not. I love”] (translated by V. I. Lavronenko, 2009) and “Juliet, Naked” by N. Hornby (2009) — “Golaya Dzhulyetta” (translated by Yu. A. Balayan, 2010). The following translation techniques were reviewed: descriptive translation with the loss of lexical “condensation”, calquing, replacement of a complex occasional unit in one word, graphic-punctuation transfer, omission of the occasional unit in the translation text or its incomplete transfer.

Abstract:
The article presents the first analytical description of a new trend in the development of contemporary Russian music — creation of compositions for solo instrument and choir as a "vocal orchestra". Analysis of 20th century works (A. Schoenberg, A. Lurie, L. Nono, D. Ligeti) allows the authors to conclude that there are general grounds for the emergence of the phenomenon of "vocal orchestra", and also to understand more deeply the originality of its embodiment in the works of modern Russian composers — A. Tchaikovsky, E. Podhaits, K. Bodrov. On the basis of the considered compositions of recent years, which have become a notable event in the concert life of our country — Concerto for choir and solo piano "Gloria", Concerto for domra and choir a cappella by K. Bodrov, A. Tchaikovsky's piece "Cherry Orchard" for domra and choir and E. Podgaits' "Prayer to the Virgin Mary" for accordion and choir — the authors come to the following conclusions: the phenomenon of the "vocal orchestra" in the understanding of modern Russian composers is primarily associated with the transfer of the functions of the orchestra to the choir in works of concert or concert-related genres. The work of prominent Russian musicians is also identified as a "catalyst" of the trend under study: Е. Mechetina (piano), E. Mochalova (domra) and M. Vlasova (accordion).

Abstract:
The transition in the national sculpture from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century from the system of plastic and conventional figurative medieval form to the realistic one led to the assimilation of influences from Russian, Romanian and Western Art. The influences of impressionism can be felt in the creation of Nichifor Colun and in the creation of Alexandru Plămădeala, Claudia Cobizev, Lazăr Dubinovschi, in which classical realist art is combined with modernism. The gallery of portraits in the spirit of socialist realism was represented by Valentin Kuznetsov, Nicolai Gorionashev, Alexandr Maiko, Lev Averbuh. Thanks to the theme of the contemporary’s portrait, there appear galleries of portraits with a romantic allure of the writers and those of the guild colleagues created by sculptors Lazăr Dubinovschi, Alexandra Picunov-Târțău, Iurie Canașin. The coloring of wood, specific to the Impressionists, can be observed in the creation of Brunhilda Epelbaum-Marcenco. Both the portrait and composition are present in the works of Galina Dubrovina, Ion Beldii and Natalia Beldii-Vlasova, Iosif Kitman. Postmodernism is specific to the creation of Ion Zderciuc, Dumitru Verdianu, Valentin Vârtosu, Iurie Platon. Thus, during its evolution, the Moldovan sculptural portrait demonstrates various similarities with the works of the great masters and with the stylistic influences of world art, keeping, however, its independent, creative and original character in its approach.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the biography of the famous Soviet party and economic figure A.V. Vlasov (1932–2002). During his career path from the secretary of the primary Komsomol organization of a mine to the chair-man of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR he passed in a number of regions of the country. Vlasov worked in senior positions in party, Komsomol, economic structures of the Irkutsk region, Yakut and Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, in the capital’s authorities (Central Committee of the CPSU, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, Government of the RSFSR). The author pays particular attention to the Don period of A.V. Vlasov’s career (1984–1986), where the hero of the publication as First Secretary of the Rostov Regional Committee of the CPSU became a key regional actor of Gorbachev’s changes. However, he launched the pro-cesses of personnel renewal of the regional (local) elite and critical rethinking of the previous experience of socio-economic and political development in the Don region earlier than in the country as a whole. Vlasov’s work in Rostov-on-Don lasted 18 months, and he found himself in demand at the metropolitan stature, but he did not cut ties with the region until the end of perestroika.

Abstract:
Statement of the problem. Smart technologies are gaining popularity in the educational process, especially after the start of the coronavirus pandemic. The purpose of the article is to analyze in detail the specifics of smart technologies use in Chinese language classes for linguistic students. A review of the scientific literature showed that the problems of using smart technologies in the educational process are the subject of research by many Russian and international scientists (N.N. Vlasova, E.N. Kolpachkova, N.A. Somkina, M.A.A. Alsheikhidris, Li Z., etc.). Methodology. The materials of the study were Russian and foreign theoretical sources and the results of a sociological survey. Accordingly, the methods that were chosen for conducting this study are an analysis of theoretical sources and a sociological survey. Research results. The results of theoretical sources’ analysis have demonstrated the advantages and disadvantages of smart technologies in teaching Chinese. In addition, a blended learning model was presented, which combines the advantages of smart technologies and a traditional learning format. According to the sociological survey, smart technologies are the easiest way to learn Chinese grammar, hieroglyphics and reading. As for Chinese phonetics and speaking, these aspects are most difficult to study by students specializing in Linguistics. Conclusion. Conclusions drawn from the results of the article were summarized, as well as the authors’ contribution to the issues under consideration, which lies in the fact that the authors not only studied theoretical sources, but also developed and conducted a sociological survey, the results of which can be quite useful in teaching Chinese to linguistic students using smart technologies.

Abstract:
Background. The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between the type of attachment and strong personality traits of young women. Strong personality traits are able to describe a person's internal characteristics, and also help predict his successful behavior (M. Seligman). The study also used the classification of types of attachment by J. Bowlby and M. Ainsworth: 1) reliable or safe; 2) avoidant; 3) anxious-ambivalent; 4) disorganized (timid). Methods. 122 women aged from 17 to 23 years, took part in the empirical study. The methods were used the "Test for determining the quality of attachment" (MAQ), a screening modification of the Seligman and Peterson test "Definition of strengths (values) and virtues" (adapted by G. Lapteva, O. I. Vlasova), correlation analysis (Spearman's rank correlation coefficient). Results. The relationship between the strong personality traits of young women and their types of attachment is statistically substantiated. A direct correlation was found between the safe type of attachment and kindness, as well as inverse correlations between the anxious-ambivalent type and the ability to make judgments, optimism and persistence; avoidant type and inquisitiveness, inability to communicate; disorganized type and lack of optimism. Сonclusion. Thus, respondents with a reliable type of attachment have statistically expressed strong traits, on the other hand, according to another study by the authors, they are also not inclined to use psychological defenses in difficult life situations. Young women with unreliable attachment styles don't pronounced strong traits. Instead, such persons are characterized by various psychological defenses as tools for organizing their mental activity in stressful and traumatic life situations.

Abstract:
Background. From the second half of the XX century to the present time in the musical culture of the world we observe significant influence of jazz. New trends, styles, genres is appeared due to the interaction of jazz and academic music. Thus, at the beginning of the XX century such phenomenon of musical art rises as a synthesis of features of jazz and pop music. This process leads to the renewal of musical language, experimentation, the emergence of new styles and trends. All mentioned above are largely inherent in variety-jazz accordion art, which has a significant spread from the early XX century. The formation of the European accordion variety-jazz direction is connected, for the most part, with the genre orientation of the works of a certain region. In France it was a musette. In Germany there were virtuoso fantasies, variations on the themes of popular song and dance melodies, waltzes. In Italy – tarantella, samba, tango. “In the first decades of the XX century accordion began to be widely used in the USA. From beginning of popularization, it was emigrants from Italy”, notes M. Imkhanitskiy (2004: 304–305). In Ukraine, the stage of the emergence of variety-jazz style is associated with the assimilation of the European and American traditions of variety and jazz accordion art. The purpose of the article is to determine the main genre and style levels of the embodiment of variety-jazz style in the works of V. Vlasov. Presenting main material. The integration process of Ukrainian accordion art is significantly separated from the world performing movement. The variety of stylistic vectors (variety, jazz, pop-jazz) and the high level of professionalism of the performers significantly affect the current trends of variety-jazz direction. Victor Vlasov is one of the personalities who has a great influence on the modern process of development of variety-jazz direction in its national specifics. The introduction of professional technical-expressive and artistic components in his compositions is due to the author’s impeccable knowledge of the possibilities of accordion. The embodiment of jazz stylystics is achieved in V. Vlasov’s works by specific means: clear and pulsating metrorhythm, special melody and harmony, jazz phrasing, swinging, uniqueness of articulation. First, V. Vlasov uses rhythmic-factural models, typical of certain genres that were not previously involved in accordion practice. Secondly, he uses quasi-improvisations – the improvisational sections on a harmonious basis taked from main thematic material; third, imitations of the sound of an ensemble in different “timbre layers”, sonor effects in the form of various blows on parts of the instrument, on the floor, etc., mimicing the sound of percussion instruments. Fourth, V. Vlasov often uses swinging. Analyzing the compositional style of V. Vlasov, we find its characteristic features: at the level of the genre subsystem, the composer uses traditional genres of variety music; the level of the evolutionary subsystem is characterized by stylistic diversity (academic, avant-garde, electronic, variety-jazz trends); ethnic metasystem in the artist’s work is represented by the folklore basis of the works, the involvement of traditional genres of certain regions (“Vesnyanka”, “Kolyadka”, “Tarantella”, “Tango”, “Bossa Nova”); historical metasystem is manifested in the use of historically formed jazz styles (New Orleans’ jazz, bebop, swing, cool, etc.). The article considers the embodiment of variety-jazz style on the example of one of the parts of the V. Vlasov’s cycle “Variety-jazz compositions”, the piece “Basso ostinato”. The relevance of the study of this work is connected with its considerable popularity among performers of different countries, the active use of the work by participants in various competitions of accordionists. Using a simple compositional element filled with altered chords, the author creates a clear harmonious and formative grid as a jazz square. Synthesizing the academic form of musical art (Basso ostinato) with variety-jazz style, V. Vlasov created a pattern of his own compositional style. V. Vlasov’s works, in general, have a clear form, mostly there are complex three-part or variational compositions, but his variety-jazz style has its own specifics: ● use of altered chord; ● involvement of noise effects, specific accordion strokes and techniques; ● quasi-improvisations based on the principles of jazz music. Conclusions. V. Vlasov’s works have their influence on the development of variety-jazz music today. He remains one of the first composers to integrate and develop at a high professional level variety-jazz direction in the domestic accordion art. The composer represents new (to accordion-art) jazz performing techniques, novelty of musical ideas and their textural and intonational embodiment. Manifestation of variety-jazz style of V. Vlasov is a set of personal means of expression. Thus, the artist’s works are characterized by the use of altered chords, the involvement of noise effects (“percussion”), specific accordion strokes and techniques; introduction of quasi-improvisations based on the principles of jazz music. V. Vlasov’s individual and stylistic searches determine the characteristic features of the author’s school as a stylistic phenomenon in the development of domestic and European accordion art. Stylistic orientation of V. Vlasov’s compositions – New Orleans jazz, swing, bee-bop, cool, progressive – presents a wide range of genres and styles.

Abstract:
RECOMMENDATION ON USE OF METHOTREXATE IN SARCOIDOSIS PATIENTS (WASOG, 2013) AND THE BACKGROUND FOR ITS UPDATE І. O. Merenkova, N. A. Vlasova Abstract In 2013 the experts of World Association of Sarcoidosis and Other Granulomatous disorders (WASOG) have published the recommendations on use of methotrexate (MTX) in sarcoidosis patients. Considering the fact that by the moment of publishing of the recommendations, there were data presented from only one small (n=24) randomized trial (Baughman R. P. et al., 2000) and limited data from observational studies, the recommendations were mainly based on case series reports and sarcoidosis experts’ opinion, collected from appropriate survey. Since that time several trials on efficacy and safety of MTX, including large retrospective studies (Fang C., et al., 2019; Vizel A. A. et al., 2020; Baughman R. P. et al., 2020) have been accomplished. Current statement of WASOG has considered these new data. Upon review of recommendations the authors concluded that based on rich body research data on short and long-term outcomes of MTX use in pulmonary sarcoidosis, published during last 8 years, MTX may be prescribed as first line medication in patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary sarcoidosis. A safety profile of MTX allows to use it at initial dose of 15 mg/week. The concomitant administration of folic acid should be limited by cases of MTX intolerance, until new research data on this matter become available. In authors’ opinion, recommendations # 4-10, in connection with MTX safety, are up-to-date and should not be revised. Key words: pulmonary sarcoidosis, methotrexate, recommendations of WASOG-2013. Abstract:
The article discusses issues related to the history of creation, performance, prohibition and discussions which surrounded the First Symphony of the remarkable Russian composer Gavriil Popov. The fate of the composition turned out to be tragic: once performed, the symphony was banned. It was one of the first public “executions” of a musical work — even before the infamous articles of the newspaper Pravda about the opera Lady Macbeth and the ballet Light Stream by Dmitry Shostakovich, which marked the beginning of the struggle against the “anti-national, formalistic trend” in music. Long years of oblivion led to the fact that the Symphony “fell out” of the history of Soviet music. Through the efforts of such musicologists as Inna Barsova, Inna Romashchuk, Yekaterina Vlasova, Igor Vorobyov, conductors Gennady Provatorov and Alexander Titov, Popov’s First Symphony was revitalized. And now the question arises regarding the first publication of this undeservedly forgotten outstanding work of the Soviet music.

Abstract:
Acute respiratory infections (ARIs) are the most common reason of outpatient visits for internal medicine ambulatory care. As a rule, ARIs are induced by various serotypes of respiratory viruses that cause diseases with very similar clinical symptoms and, thus, it is impossible to make an accurate etiological diagnosis. At the same time, the therapeutic approaches are usually the same and include impact on different pathogenetic components of the inflammation process which, among other things, can be achieved by using herbal medicinal products known for a wide range of effects — immunomodulatory, antiseptic, antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory. The review is focused on the use of herbal medicines for the treatment of infectious & inflammatory upper airway diseases. The evidence-based medicine data have proven the efficacy and safety of phytomedicines, and therefore they can be administered for the treatment of acute rhinosinusitis and tonsillopharyngitis associated with acute viral respiratory tract infections, as well as within the combined therapy of recurrent and chronic diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses. As shown, their use reduces the severity and duration of symptoms in patients with acute rhinosinusitis and tonsillopharyngitis. It is emphasized that herbal medications may have beneficial effects on microbiota composition of the pharynx, decreasing the pharyngeal mucosa contamination with true and opportunistic pathogens KEYWORDS: acute respiratory infections, upper airways, mucociliary clearance, tonsillopharyngitis, rhinosinusitis, phytotherapy. Abstract:
The turn of the 20th century was marked by M. Gorky’s search for new artistic forms, genres, new aesthetics and a new hero. It was important for the writer to bring timeliness and usefulness of literature come to the fore. In the short novel “The Mother” Gorky attempted to present the result of his search: to act as an innovator in terms of genre; to acquaint readers with a new type of hero, his new truth and aesthetics, to demonstrate his goals and capabilities; as well as to resolve the long-standing conflict of “fathers and sons,”which concerned the writer at the very beginning of his career. Gorky offered his version of the solution to the conflict, which consisted of breaking the binding thread between generations of “fathers and children.” According to the writer’s observations, the generation of “fathers” turned out to be incapable of this, as well as incapable of resolving the existing contradictions and finding a compromise, therefore, he took the side of the younger generation in the overdue “confrontation.” Having taken the father, as the bearer of the traditions of the past that have become obsolete, out of the dispute, the writer provided the Son with the opportunity to assert his own new truth, the essence of which is the struggle for a better future for all mankind. The author entrusted this exalted and honorable mission to the younger generation. Gorky’s innovation was expressed in the fact that he made Mother the key assistant, friend and ally in this significant matter, thereby reminding society of the lofty purpose and role of a woman, as well as the sacred essence of motherhood in this world. The main conclusion of the study states that the spiritual revival of Pelageya Vlasova as an individual is the central leitmotif of this work.

Abstract:
A theoretical basis for quasi static determination of wheel—rail interaction forces using strain measures in the foot of the rail is given. Vlasov's theory for thin-walled beams is used in combination with continuous translational and rotational elastic supports based on smoothing out the stiffness of the rail sleepers. The smoothing out of the rotational elastic support has traditionally not been done. The use of this model is validated by the decay lengths of the problem and through finite element analysis. The finite element analysis is performed using discrete sleeper stiffness and Vlasov beam elements. The sensitivity of the measuring technique to parameter variations is illustrated and an example shows the simplicity of the proposed direct measuring technique.

Abstract:
Aim: to assess the results of speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) in patients of working age with acute inferior wall myocardial infarction (MI) in the early period after coronary stenting. Patients and Methods: STE was performed using EPIQ-7 Ultrasound Machine (Philips, USA) in 55 patients with acute inferior wall MI one week after percutaneous coronary intervention and 29 healthy individuals of working age. Patients with acute inferior wall MI were divided into two subgroups, i.e., with (n=45) or without (n=10) areas of local contractile impairment (dyskinesia, akinesia, hypokinesia). Results: the most common cause of MI was the occlusion of the right coronary artery (82.4% in subgroup 1 and 60% in subgroup 2) in multivascular involvement (84.4% and 90%. respectively). In patients with local contractile impairment, reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (EF) was reported in 28.9%, global longitudinal strain in 86.7%, and global circular strain in 76.7%. Meanwhile, in patients without local contractile impairment, left ventricular ejection fraction (LV EF) was within normal ranges, global longitudinal strain was reported in 100% and global circumferential strain in 70%. The presence and severity of local dysfunction did not affect the reduction in segmental strain (median varied from -9% to -15%). In inferior wall MI, the abnormal regional longitudinal strain of 6 LV segments (basal and mid inferoseptal, inferior, and inferolateral) was reported in both hypokinesia and normokinesia. Conclusions: ultrasound evaluation of systolic LV function using STE is characterized by greater diagnostic value compared to the measurement of EF only and objectifies the efficacy of surgery. Quantitative assessment of the recovery of both global and local systolic contractility is another advantage of STE allowing for personalized treatment. Abstract:
This article presents the results of empirical research focused on the study of the value attitude of children of middle preschool age to the family, which we consider as the basis of spiritual and moral formation of preschool children. It is the attitude to the closest adults, as objectively proved by the cultural and historical concept of L.S. Vygotsky's development, that has the most decisive importance for the effectiveness of the whole process of personal formation. Given that moral development is not only an important component, but also the indicator of the full development of personality (studies F.A. Akhmatova, Z.Y. Barysheva, B.M. BIM-Bada, E.V. Bondarev-skaya, T.I. Vlasova, V.I. Dodonov, A.V. Mudrik, N.D. Nikandrova, L.I. Novikova, E.G. Ossovskogo, V.G. Pryanikov, Z.I. Ravkin, I.N. Sisimskoj, G.N. Filonov and many other researchers), we believe that the moral standards of the relationship to their friends and family, and formed in the process of interaction with them in the framework of family education in the future, having become a habit, the child will carry and the rest of society. Based on the results of research, as the most important component components of the value relationship of preschool children to their loved ones, we have identified a cognitive component, suggesting the presence of children's systemic knowledge of the rules and regulations of interaction; affective component, the component that determines the modality of the child's emotions and determines the nature and direction of his attitude to close adults; behavioral component, which, in our opinion, is a specific integration of the first two, and an indicator of their level of development. Taking into account the selected component components of the value attitude of preschool children to their loved ones, we have developed and tested an experimental diagnostic program, objectively proved the existence of the relationship between the level of value attitude of children to their family members and their spiritual and moral development.

ABSTRACT We sequenced and analyzed the full-length genomes of four coronaviruses (CoVs), each from a distinct wild-ruminant species in Ohio: sambar deer (Cervus unicolor), a waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus), a sable antelope (Hippotragus niger), and a white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus). The fecal samples from the sambar deer, the waterbuck, and the white-tailed deer were collected during winter dysentery outbreaks and sporadic diarrhea cases in 1993 and 1994 (H. Tsunemitsu, Z. R. el-Kanawati, D. R. Smith, H. H. Reed, and L. J. Saif, J. Clin. Microbiol. 33:3264-3269, 1995). A fecal sample from a sable antelope was collected in 2003 from an Ohio wild-animal habitat during the same outbreak when a bovine-like CoV from a giraffe (GiCoV) was isolated (M. Hasoksuz, K. Alekseev, A. Vlasova, X. Zhang, D. Spiro, R. Halpin, S. Wang, E. Ghedin, and L. J. Saif, J. Virol. 81:4981-4990, 2007). For two of the CoVs (sambar deer and waterbuck), complete genomes from both the cell culture-adapted and gnotobiotic-calf-passaged strains were also sequenced and analyzed. Phylogenetically, wild-ruminant CoVs belong to group 2a CoVs, with the closest relatedness to recent bovine CoV (BCoV) strains. High nucleotide identities (99.4 to 99.6%) among the wild-ruminant strains and recent BCoV strains (BCoV-LUN and BCoV-ENT, isolated in 1998) further confirm the close relatedness. Comparative genetic analysis of CoVs of captive wild ruminants with BCoV strains suggests that no specific genomic markers are present that allow discrimination between the bovine strains and bovine-like CoVs from captive wild ruminants; furthermore, no specific genetic markers were identified that defined cell cultured or calf-passaged strains or the host origin of strains. The results of this study confirm prior reports of biologic and antigenic similarities between bovine and wild-ruminant CoVs and suggest that cattle may be reservoirs for CoVs that infect captive wild ruminants or vice versa and that these CoVs may represent host range variants of an ancestral CoV.

Abstract:
Contemporary researchers of opera of the Stalin period primarily touch upon the Soviet “opera project” (Ekaterina Vlasova, Marina Frolova-Walker): conceived on a high level of ambitiousness, it became virtually a failure. An immense number of operas created during the course of the 1930s and the 1940s, with a small number of exceptions, slipped into obscurity: a significant part of them has never seen the stage and has been preserved only as archival materials. One of the main reasons is mentioned as the low artistic level of the overwhelming part of the opera material. In them, along with rather fair criticism of many opera works, there were attempts to understand the reasons why Soviet opera, which received a level of government support unprecedented in its scale, adapted itself to the new sociocultural conditions with such great difficulty. In the present article the attempt is made to comprehend the phenomenon of the so-called song opera: with this aim the examination of one of the most illustrative periods of its development is proposed. It spans the period of five years — from 1936 (the year the article Muddle Instead of Music came out and the Committee for the Affairs of Art was created affiliated with the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR) until 1940 (the All-Union Opera Conference was held). During this period the greatest number of operas was composed (including 30 song operas), presentations of newly created compositions and the subsequent discussion of them in the Committee for the Affairs of Art was brought into practice. A considerable number of publications from these years was devoted to the issues of opera. The discussions of the art of opera received unprecedented caliber and were conducive to the formation of complex perceptions of the aesthetic etalon of Soviet opera. However, the etalon operatic composition was never written. The article is based on analysis of archival materials and documents, part of which is being brought into scholarly use for the first time.

Abstract:
EFFECTIVENESS OF METHOTREXATE IN MANAGEMENT OF PULMONARY SARCOIDOSIS RELAPSES N. A. Vlasova Abstract Relapses are one of most urgent problems of treatment in pulmonary sarcoidosis patients. There have been demonstrated the correlation between the rate of pulmonary sarcoidosis relapses and previous longterm glucocorticosteroid (GCS) therapy. This makes a feasibility of GCS administration in patients with relapsing disease doubtful. Literature data and author’s clinical experience considering lower incidence of sarcoidosis relapses after the use of immunosuppressive drugs such as methotrexate (MTX) were the rationale for this study. Aim: to study the efficacy of MTX in treatment of patients with the relapses of pulmonary sarcoidosis. Material and methods. We examined 12 patients (5 males and 7 females, 36-54 years of age) with relapses of pulmonary sarcoidosis, revealed within 12 months after successful completion of main course of methylprednisolone (MP) therapy (clinical cure). MTX was prescribed in dose of 15 mg/week under monthly control of white blood cells and platelets count and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) serum level. Therapy has been stopped after the complete cure, confirmed by lung computed tomography (CT). The primary endpoint was the long-term outcomes of MTX use – the rate of repeated relapses during 12 months follow-up period following MTX discontinuation. The control group was comprised of 33 patients (males 14, females 19, 30-58 years of age) with relapses of pulmonary sarcoidosis after completion of GCS therapy, treated with MP at initial dose of 24 mg/day. Therapy has been stopped after the complete cure, confirmed by lung CT. The long-term outcomes were assessed at 6 and 12 months of follow-up. Additionally, incidence of adverse reactions was compared between groups. Exact Fisher’s test was used to determine the differences between studied variables. Results. No significant differences were found in rate of adverse reactions between study groups (16,7 % in МТХ vs 21,2 % in MP group). At the same time the rate of repeated relapses was lower in MTX than in MP group (25 % vs 57,6 %, respectively, p=0,01993). Conclusion. Use of MTX 15 mg/week in patients with relapses of pulmonary sarcoidosis was associated with less frequent repeated relapses in comparison with conventional use of MP at starting dose 24 mg/day. Key words: pulmonary sarcoidosis, relapse, methotrexate, methylprednisolone.

Abstract:
The presented work is devoted to improving the stage of separating crumbs of emulsion styrene-butadiene synthetic rubber. A comprehensive assessment of the influence of the consumption of the high-molecular cationic reagent VPK-10, the acidifying component and temperature on the process of reducing the aggregative stability of latex dispersion was carried out. The work investigated the effect of the amount of introduced sulfuric acid on the yield of released rubber at temperatures of 0, 20 or 60 °C. Anomalous behavior of the process was discovered when studying the effect of coagulation temperature on rubber yield depending on the amount of added acid. When introducing sulfuric acid in an amount of 15 kg/t of rubber, an increase in temperature required an increase in the amount of added coagulant to achieve complete recovery of rubber. Reducing the amount of sulfuric acid to 10 kg/t of rubber required an increase in the required amount of coagulant. At the same time, the increase in temperature also required an increase in the amount of added coagulant for maximum effect in releasing rubber. A distinctive feature when reducing the dosage of sulfuric acid to 5 kg/t of rubber was the reverse effect of the temperature of the coagulation process. The highest coagulant consumption was achieved not at 1 °C, but at 60 °C. At the same time, the amount of coagulant required for maximum extraction of rubber crumbs from latex decreased with increasing temperature. The change in the temperature regime of the process of separating rubber from latex with a decrease in the acidity of the coagulated system is possibly due to the fact that with a lack of sulfuric acid, incomplete conversion of latex carboxylic acid soaps into carboxylic acids occurs. Therefore, there is no significant destabilization of latex globules and the protective layer based on an anionic surfactant does not undergo global destruction. Artificial intelligence has marked a before and after in the history of computing, in technological evolution. However, this type of development is unreliable for people, since it puts at risk the use of confidential data and information to be used for other particular interests of companies. This paper evaluates the most salient aspects of artificial intelligence associated with new technologies and its impact on society during the pandemic period. Social needs in the period of social distancing, confinement and how a life of confinement is made acceptable with the use of technological tools are evaluated. A set of scientific publications, academic material, technical reviews are taken into account and it can be observed that new technologies are useful and necessary in the pandemic, however, it is not enough to cover human needs.

Abstract:
Viktor Vlasov is one of the brightest representatives of Ukrainian button accordion school, and his work is a special page in the musical culture of Ukraine and a significant component of the button accordion art for children. By his work V. Vlasov implements, new ideas and techniques of performing skills that rely on bright artistic images in the native children’s music, and also applies the means of composition techniques that appear in contemporary button accordion art and he pays attention to the latest unconventional methods of sound making. Due to this variety, V. Vlasov’s works have no only their main task – the education of children, but also it is a guideline for other composers. Music scholars, who study the work of Ukrainian composer-accordionist V. Vlasov, have the important task to give a proper assessment of work in general, and summarize the basic criteria of his approach to the formation of the system of young accordionist’s professional skills. Children’s music of button accordion of Ukrainian authors is a significant amount of works for young performers. Although the history of button accordion performance and pedagogy in comparison with other musical instruments is very short, it can be confirmed of the formation of certain schools of button accordion craftsmanship, including the author’s schools, one of which includes the original work of V. Vlasov. In Ukraine, the period of children’s music of button accordion development was synchronized with the formation of a professional button accordion music in general. Beginning from the second half of the twentieth century composers-accordionists made a huge contribution to the musical heritage, including for children. At the same time, information about this stage of musical culture is still poorly explored, the potential of the Ukrainian children’s music of button accordion is not sufficiently defined, the information about collections of plays for children and young people of Ukrainian composers is not generalized or systematized. Ukrainian music for children encompasses a multitude of individual composer styles (from V. Kosenko, M. Lysenko, I. Shamo to contemporary authors such as A. Gaidenko, V. Vlasov, P. Gubanov, O. Shmykov, B. Myronchuk and many others. V. Vlasov definitely can be considered composers with a brightly individually creative writing. All composer’s musical creativity is original and is closely connected with Ukrainian and world classics using authentic folklore, with an appeal to modern pop and jazz genres. He is the author of many works for button accordion which are as complicated, oriented on high level masters as works for beginners. V. Vlasov’s «Album for Children and Youth» has become an important achievement in the field of button accordion art. The cycle of V. Vlasov includes 45 different-colored music pieces; they are not connected with a plot-thematic line, because each music piece has its musical and artistic content. In addition, the music pieces are grouped into five notebooks in accordance with the general plan and a clear pedagogical task. In the first two notebooks of the album («Album of the first-graders», « At a visit to a fairy tale «), the world of a modern child is developed very clearly in the tradition of children’s album from such composers as R. Schumann and P. Chaikovsky to S. Prokofiev and B. Bartok. In the notebook «Folk tunes» which includes folk treats, V. Vlasov managed to cover folk leaks of different regions of Ukraine. The music pieces of the last notebook («Variety-jazz plays») are based on modern jazz language. Researchers more often pay attention to the listed notebooks. This article focuses on the central book of the album – «Chamber Plays». Three sonatas at the beginning of this notebook are perceived as a microcycle where the specificity of sonat thinking is consistently revealed and the artistic and technical tasks for the artist are gradually becoming more complex. The first music piece is a miniature «Sonatyna» of F-dur of early classical type, but even in the summary presentation the thematic contrast is already presented and the functional and logical side of the sonata form is implemented. The second «Sonatyna» D-dur meets the examples of Vienna classics – the thematic is based on the original contrast, there is already a motive comparison in a small development. The third «Sonatyna» C-dur is the most difficult task for performance; it relies on a complex of expressive means corresponding to the music of the 20th century – the toccata-basis of the themes, a complex harmonious language. Thus, three sonatas are a short «summary» of the genre for button accordionists at beginner level. The study of these sonatas is important for assimilating the most complex musical structure. The following music plieces are devoted to other genres, where the author focuses on the transformation of stylistic features. The romantic type of «Serenade» focused on J. Field’s nocturnes has such features as intricacy, expressiveness, sensuality and refinement and corresponds to the general lyrical character of the music piece. The greatest artistic complexity for button accordion performers in «Serenade» is precisely the embodiment of the character of a work that requires a certain level of student’s artistic development, an open emotionality. «Harpsichord» is a work that helps to restore the picture of the aristocratic salon of the times of Rococo, but at the same time it gives certain tasks for the young performer. V. Vlasov somewhat unusually interprets the distribution of textural functions in this musical piece: the part in the left hand imitates the sound of a harpsichord, creating a harmonic accompaniment, while the soloing art of the right hand reflects the timbre of flute or oboe; here the coordination of the hands of the button accordionist and the differentiation of the strokes are important. The last music piece of the book «Watercolour» seems more complicated in content, and more complex in texture development and performance tasks. In this musical creation of this genre of painting, the composer redefines the established notions about the art technique of watercolors and combines the traditions of musical Impressionism with the elements of the «plot», which is represented as a picture. The Viktor Vlasov work, one of the most prominent representatives of the Ukrainian Button accordion School, is a special page of the musical culture of Ukraine and an important component of children’s button accordion music. The most important achievement of the composer in the “Album for Children and Youth” is the systematic, consistent, professional justification of the whole set of musical and auditory ideas and professional skills that make this cycle can be a real school of button accordion craftsmanship.

Abstract:
(Berliner V.I., Balashov U.A., 1976). (Creditor M.A., Cherer G.A., 1967; Koshelev O.S., Ivanov C.B., Tchestnokov E.V, 2014). (Vlasova G.B., Tchudevich D.A., Pivovarov N.A., 2022).

Abstract:
Abstract A 1D1V hybrid Vlasov-fluid model was developed for this study to elucidate discharge current oscillations of Hall thrusters (HTs). The Vlasov equation for ions velocity distribution function with ionization source term is solved using a constrained interpolation profile conservative semi-Lagrangian method. The fourth-order weighted essentially non-oscillatory (4th WENO) limiter is applied to the first derivative value to minimize numerical oscillation in the discharge oscillation analyses. The fourth-order accuracy is verified through a 1D scalar test case. Nonoscillatory and high-resolution features of the Vlasov model are confirmed by simulating the test cases of the Vlasov–Poisson system and by comparing the results with a particle-in-cell (PIC) method. A 1D1V HT simulation is performed through the hybrid Vlasov model. The ionization oscillation is analyzed. The oscillation amplitude and plasma density are compared with those obtained from a hybrid PIC method. The comparison indicates that the hybrid Vlasov-fluid model yields noiseless results and that the steady-state waveform is calculable in a short time period.

In this work, we recast the collisional Vlasov–Maxwell and Vlasov–Poisson equations as systems of coupled stochastic and partial differential equations, and we derive stochastic variational principles which underlie such reformulations. We also propose a stochastic particle method for the collisional Vlasov–Maxwell equations and provide a variational characterization of it, which can be used as a basis for a further development of stochastic structure-preserving particle-in-cell integrators.

We know many papers in which the theories indicated as Einstein–Vlasov, Vlasov–Maxwell–Einstein, Einstein–Maxwell–Boltzmann are discussed, and we discuss difficulties of usually used equations. We use another way of derivation and obtain an alternative version based on the generalized Fock–Weinberg form of equation of motion.

Abstract:
Background. In recent scholar resources musicologists actively study the problem of typology of chamber song cycle. The article cites analytical observations of M. Kolotylenko on works in this genre by R. Strauss (2014), of I. Leopa – on G. Mahler’s (2017), of N. Vlasova – on A. Schoenberg’s (2007). It is stated, that unlike Austro-German phenomena of this kind have been studied to a certain degree, song cycle “Summer Nights” by H. Berlioz hasn’t received adequate research yet, although it is mentioned by N. Vlasova as on of the foremost experiences of this kind. It allows to regard the French author as a pioneer in tradition of chamber song cycle. The aim of given research is to reveal the essence of orchestration as a part of songs cycle’s artistic whole. In order to achieve it, semantical, compositionally-dramaturgical and intonational methods of research are used. Originally, “Summer Nights” were meant to be performed by a duo of voice and piano (1834). It was not until 1856 that composer orchestrated this cycle, similarly to the way G. Mahler and in several cases R. Strauss done it later. The foundation of cycle by H. Berlioz are six poems from a set by T. Gautier «La Comédie de la mort», published in 1838. In spite of having epic traits, this set is still an example of lyrical poesy, where subjective is being generalised, while chosen motive of death, according to L.Ginzburg, corresponds to existential essence of lyric (L. Ginzburg). French poet, prose writer, critic, author ow the poems set to music in “Summer Nights” by H. Berlioz – Théophile Gautier (1811–1872) – is one of the most enigmatic and singular figures in history of XIX century art. He was eclipsed by his contemporaries, although his creativity paved the way for upcoming symbolism, that incarnated in poetry of C. Baudelaire, and set “Émaux et Camées” became an aesthetic ideal for Parnassian School. A work by H. Berlioz on lyrics by T. Gautier consists of four songs: “Villanelle”, “Le Spectre de la Rose”, “Sur le lagunes”, “Absence”, “Au cimetiere. Clair de Lune” and “L`ile Inconnue”. It is founded on a plot of lyrical type, that is built according to the principle of appearing associations. Lyrical “I”, whose inner world is revealed during the cycle, provides logical congruity of the work. Each mélodie has its own spectrum of images, united by general lyrical plot. The first and last songs, grounding on a theme of nature, create thematic arch. The denouement of the plat falls on “L`ile Inconnue”, where hero’s conclusion about impossibility of everlasting love is proclaimed. The orchestra part is equal significance with the voice and intonated verbal text, simultaneously playing an important role in illuminating underlying meaning of the lyrics. H. Berlioz doesn’t tend to use supplementary woodwind instruments. Although, each instrument reveals its unique sonic and expressive possibilities, demonstrating its singular characteristics. Due to that an orchestra becomes differentiated, turning into a flexible living organism. Composer doesn’t use exceedingly large orchestra, moreover, each song has its unique set of performers. However, there are stable players: strings (including double basses), two flutes, 2 clarinets (in A and in B). Besides of that, H. Berlioz occasionally uses the timbre of solo oboe, bassoons, natural French horns in different keys, and in the second song he employs coloristic potential of the harp. From a standpoint of the semantics, the score is built according to the principle of the opposition between two spheres. The former one is attached to the motives of the nature and has pastoral mod. At the same time, it reveals idealistic expanse of dreams and vision, thus being above the existing realm. This sphere is represented by woodwinds and brass. The latter, on the contrary, places the hero in real time. It is a sphere of sensuality, of truly human, it also touches themes of fate and inevitable death. It is characteristic that this sphere is incarnated through string instruments. Although, the harp cannot be bracketed with either of the groups. This elusive timbre in instrumental palette is saved for “Le Spectre de la Rose” and creates unsubstantial image of a soul ascending to Heaven. H. Berlioz evades usage of mixed timbers in joining of different groups of the orchestra. Even when he does it, it has sporadic nature and provides emphasis on a particular motive. Orchestral tutti are almost non-existent. Composer uses concerto principle quite regularly as well. Additional attention must be drawn to psychologising of role of clarinet and semantisation of flute and bassoon. Clarinet becomes a doppelganger of lyrical “I” and, quite like a personality of a human, acquires ambivalent characteristics. Because of that, it interacts not only with its light group, but with low strings as well, thus demonstrating an ability to transformation of the image. Bassoon reflects the image of the death. This explains its rare usage as well as specific way of interaction with other instruments and groups. Flute is attached to the image of the nature, symbolises a white dove, that in a poetry of T. Gautier represents an image of beautiful maiden. Consequently, this allows to state that timbre of flute incarnates the image of lyrical hero’s love interest. The most significant instruments of string group are the low ones, accenting either the aura of dark colours or sensuality and passion. Neglecting the tradition requiring lyrical hero to be paired with a certain voice type, H. Berlioz in each mélodie uses different timbres, that suit coloristic incarnation of the miniature the most in the terms of tessiture and colour. A conclusion is made, that composer become a forefather of chamber song cycle of new type, with its special trait being equivalence of the voice and the orchestra, that allows them to create united multi-layered integrity

Abstract:
An action principle for the Vlasov–Maxwell system in Eulerian field variables is presented. Thus the (extended) particle distribution function appears as one of the fields to be freely varied in the action. The Hamiltonian structures of the Vlasov–Maxwell equations and of the reduced systems associated with small-ampliltude perturbation calculations are easily obtained. Previous results for the linearized Vlasov–Maxwell system are generalized. We find the Hermitian structure also when the background is time-dependent, and furthermore we may now also include the case of non-Hamiltonian perturbations within the Hamiltonian-Hermitian context. The action principle for the Vlasov–Maxwell system appears to be suitable for the derivation of reduced dynamical equations by expanding the action in various small parameters.

Abstract: Andrei Andreevich Vlasov, a Soviet general who sought to create a Russian Liberation Army under German auspices during World War II, has been the focal point of debates about wartime collaboration that reflect deep divides in memory of the Great Patriotic War and the Stalin era in post-Soviet Russia. Memory entrepreneurs in the literary world, the Orthodox Church and the historical profession have reappropriated Vlasov, inserting him in anti-Soviet historical narratives as a hero, symbol or martyr. Meanwhile, patriotic intellectuals in the Putin years have invoked Vlasov as a figure of national treachery and use him to discredit their political opponents. The debate over Vlasov points to the fractured and unproductive nature of national collective memory in Russia.

Abstract:
A new action principle determining the dynamics of the Vlasov–Poisson system is presented (the Vlasov–Maxwell system will be considered in Part 2). The particle distribution function is explicitly a field to be varied in the action principle, in which only fundamentally Eulerian variables and fields appear. The Euler–Lagrange equations contain not only the Vlasov–Poisson system but also equations associated with a Lie perturbation calculation on the Vlasov equation. These equations greatly simplify the extensive algebra in the small-amplitude expansion. As an example, a general, manifestly Manley–Rowesymmetric, expression for resonant three-wave interaction is derived. The new action principle seems ideally suited for the derivation of action principles for reduced dynamics by the use of various averaging transformations (such as guiding-centre, oscillation-centre or gyro-centre transformations). It is also a powerful starting point for the application of field-theoretical methods. For example, the recently found Hermitian structure of the linearized equations is given a very simple and instructive derivation, and so is the well-known Hamiltonian bracket structure of the Vlasov–Poisson system.

Abstract:
AbstractWe prove the global asymptotic stability of the Minkowski space for the massless Einstein–Vlasov system in wave coordinates. In contrast with previous work on the subject, no compact support assumptions on the initial data of the Vlasov field in space or the momentum variables are required. In fact, the initial decay in v is optimal. The present proof is based on vector field and weighted vector field techniques for Vlasov fields, as developed in previous work of Fajman, Joudioux, and Smulevici, and heavily relies on several structural properties of the massless Vlasov equation, similar to the null and weak null conditions. To deal with the weak decay rate of the metric, we propagate well-chosen hierarchized weighted energy norms which reflect the strong decay properties satisfied by the particle density far from the light cone. A particular analytical difficulty arises at the top order, when we do not have access to improved pointwise decay estimates for certain metric components. This difficulty is resolved using a novel hierarchy in the massless Einstein–Vlasov system, which exploits the propagation of different growth rates for the energy norms of different metric components.
