Abstract:
The objective of this dissertation is resolving the issues of both form and function of water courses in a present-day city. The dissertation focuses primarily on water courses which may be described as man-made, i.e. those resembling a canal, and addresses their prospective revitalization within the context of urban renewal and development in the present-day post-industrial era. The introduction includes a comprehensive analysis of the historical and typological development of artificial water courses, essential for grasping the connections as well as the current overall state of water courses in an urbanized setting. Detailed attention is devoted in particular to the most frequently occurring artificial water course - i.e. the race. The dissertation strives to defend the irreplaceable role of the water course as a public space in the urban landscape and - consequently - also its prospective essential revitalization. Examples, especially from throughout Western Europe, are used to demonstrate particular solutions, approaches and strategies to predominantly artificial water course renewal within the urban environment. The dissertation also devotes attention to the tools used in reaching relevant solutions.

The aim of this masters thesis is a design of a suspended pedestrian bridge over a watercourse. There are two variants designed, one of which is selected for static analysis. The chosen variant is a suspended pedestrian bridge with an inclined „A“ shaped pylon situated on one bank and deck made of prefabricated segments. The cross-section is designet to allow the transfer of both pedestrian and bycicle traffic. Thesis contains structural design of construction modeled in SCIA Engineer and checked in IDEA Statica. Design and assessment are acordign to the current European standarts.

This thesis is focused on water resources which supply drinking water to the city Dobříš and the nearby village Stará Huť. The first part is focused on clarification of the issue of surface and ground water in particular. Furthermore, water management and climate change, with possible adaptation measures. The second part is devoted to detailed analysis of the area of interest. This mainly concerns the development of population, major employers and amenities. The goal of this thesis is to determine the maximum daily water needs for 2025 based on variables indicators with respect to the land use plan of Dobřiš city and the village Stará Huť. The result values are compared to current yields of all water resources. The final summary proposes the possible solution for emergencies in case of declining yields.

The proposal is to create an architecturally interesting and unique, comprehensive, research-modern complex information and visitor center "WATER TOWN AQUADOMOS". The project addresses the urban design concept of the complex and its individual elements - visitor center with aquariums, museums and galleries with the history of the river Svratka outdoor recreation area with a water surface, the input element and an underground car park for visitors. The design of all elements are reflected themes of inspiration vody.Navržený house responds to the urban context in the area and complements the present block of buildings on the waterfront. The main entrance is placed on the most exposed part of the plot, the entrance to the underground garage and restaurant supply is oriented to the street Pisárecká, near křižovatky.Budova is fashioned in the shape of two prisms, which are linked through a central part. The shape of the building is influenced by communication and development plan.

The diploma thesis related to rehabilitation of the historical inside and adjacent neighborhood Kyjov deals with the analysis of the actual state of the city, the evaluation of its problems and potential and the subsequent design of the urbanistic, transport and functional solution. The goal of the thesis is to create better life conditions and thus to attract more new inhabitants to the city. Building new apartment buildings, leisure centers and coworking centers could help to achieve the goal. Designing of new public spaces, which offer plenty of meeting and relaxing places makes the life more quality. The new form of the city is designed with an emphasis on urbanistic contemporary approaches and views, and related to the view of the city as a safe place for pedestrians.

Project is processed at the level of documentation for territorial management according to decree no. 499/2006, of buildings documentation. Theoretical part captures professional literature research dedicated to restorations, spatial planning and buildings documentation. Analytic segment closely defines and characterise location of interest at first, although major part consists of designed restoration measures following requirements for creating a building documentation by mentioned decree. Benefit from this thesis is it's possible usage as a background material for documentation created by authorised engineer for water management and landscape planning.

This master thesis focus on determinig the flooding inundation of the selected area of Luzicka Nisa, flowing through the city Hradek nad Nisou. The work is based on the field survey and the information about the area, on this basis it describes the watched area in interaction for determing the flooding inundation. The thesis is split into the text summary and determing the flooding inundation of the selected part of the river Luzicka Nisa. The text summary sums up the problematic of flooding. It mentions the history, the prevention against flooding, the factors influencing their formation. The flood stages, the flooding inundation and the flood control plans. The second part focus on the determining the flooding inundation at the N year flows by using of the program HEC RAS 4.0 and the ArcGIS extension HEC-GeoRAS. The determined flooding inundation was modeled on the basis of the data of cross profiles, N year flows and water facilities and then exported on map data.

Abstract:
The presented thesis deals with the evaluation of the ecological status of small watercourse Meredský creek situated in Central Bohemia. Meredský creek springs in the village of Záborná Lhota, runs through the village of Chotilsko and behind the village of Čím empties into the river Vltava. This creek is affected by the urbanization, in the catchment area there is continual livestock grazing and there are several bigger water areas and smaller ponds situated on the creek. The landscape is completed by the mixed and coniferous forests and meadows. The evaluation rate of the pollution was determined according to the selected physical and chemical indicators of the water quality directly in the flow or evaluated in the laboratory conditions, biological status was determined by the community of aquatic macroinvertebrates (saprobity index, ASPT index, BMWP score, Margalef´s diversity index) and hydromorpohological status (average status) was evaluated too. The final ecological status was evaluated according to the Czech State Standard 75 7221 and requirements given by the environmental quality standards. Concentrations of ammonia, total phosphorus, nitrates, chlorides, dissolved oxygen were accomplished as not meeting environmental quality standards. According to the saprobity index, ASPT index, BMWP score water quality is average. Meredský creek reached the 3rd Class of hydromorphological status. According to the chemical status final ecological status is established as not meeting the requirements of the environmental quality standards and general measures leading to the better ecological status are suggested.

The main aim of the thesis was the liquefaction of Únanovka streamflow under the Těšetice dam with the focus on suitable flood protection of the villages of Těšetice, Bantice and Práče.The thesis evaluates the existing condition of the Únanovka streamflow in the river mileage 1.6593 – 6.4103. Calculation of the streamflow capacity was carried out per 1D mathematical model in the HEC-RAS programme for the selected N-year flow from the ČHMÚ hydrological study. Final value of the improved drainage from the dam was determined together with the possible value of water collection. Within the thesis the hydro-ecological monitoring of the watercourse was carried out (HEM analysis 2014).

This thesis handle with the ecological status of Smržovka stream, respectively handle with change of the ecological state of stream due to urbanization. Smržovka stream, concretely the right tributary of significant river Kamenice Jizerské hory Mountains rises in the Jizerské hory Mountains protected landscape area, which is almost intact due to water pollution and gradually flows through an urbanized area with a relatively high level of infrastructure and sources of pollution. For the ecological status assessment of stream were used the following three indicators: hydromorphological mapping, physico-chemical water analysis and evaluation of biological components of makrozoobenthos in terms of saprobity. The work provides information on water quality in the stream with that this unique data can be the basis for the study of other small streams that spring in urban mountainous areas.

Abstract:
Karst rivers are special type of rivers because of their hydrography conditions. They usually flow from non-karst area and as soon as they reach in to the karst area they disappear underground. There, they flow through cavities until they reach the surface again. The aim of this thesis is to assess the impact of water outflow from wastewater treatment plant on karst rivers. The study was done in the central area of CHKO Moravský kras where the impact of two WWTP on a cave system Rudické propadání – Býčí skála is evaluated. As a part of this study a half-year monitoring was carried out, which consisted of water sampling once every two weeks. In total, 13 water samples were taken from 8 sampling points. Also 4 additional one-time samples were taken from the cave system. Moreover, flow rate, temperature, conductivity, oxygen concentration and pH were measured at the sampling point. Afterwards, the content of undissolved solids, CODCr, BOD, N-NH4+, N-NO2-, N-NO3-, P-PO43- and total phosphorus were determined in the samples. The change of parameters in time and during the flow in the river was observed from the measured values. The balance of pollutants in particular parts of the river was calculated. The outflow values from waste water treatment plants were compared to the emission limits for surface waters and the parameters of rivers were compared to the environmental quality standards. According to the results, it can be observed that the water quality improves after passing through the cavities. It was proven that the outflows from the observed waste water treatment plants are negatively influencing the water streams. The most serious problem is the wash up of sludge from WWTP Rudice and its consequent sedimentation in the river and/or outflow to the Rudické propadání.

The aim of this thesis is to assess the impact of water outflow from wastewater treatment plant on karst rivers. The study was done in the northern area of Moravský kras protected landscape, where the impact of WWTP Ostrov u Macochy on a cave system Lopačské propadání was studied. As a part of this study a half-year monitoring was carried out, which consisted of water sampling every two weeks. In total, 13 water samples were taken from 7 sampling points. Moreover, flow rate, temperature, conductivity, oxygen concentration and pH were measured at the sampling point. Afterwards, the content of undissolved solids, COD, BOD, N-NH4+, N-NO2-, N-NO3-, NKi and total phosphorus were determined in the samples. The change of parameters in time on the sampling points and further along the flow of the river was evaluated from the measured values. The outflow values from waste water treatment plants were compared with the emission limits for surface waters and the values of river water parameters were compared with the environmental quality standards. It wasn’t proven that the outflow from the observed waste water treatment plant is negatively influencing the water stream. The most serious problems are: -The WWTP was designed for treatment of sewage from Ostrov u Macochy, which involved separate sanitary and storm sewers. After finishing the WWTP, a uniform sewer was built. -High concentration of total phosphorus on the outflow from WWTP. -Poor quality of Lopač brook water already before the outflow vent from WWTP.

The theme of Master Thesis is the Brno dam and its effective utilization. The very subject of this thesis is the Cultural and Social Center (the Center). The project follows a broad urban context and provides a new insight into the operation and use of this site. It contains a proposal of movement coordination and effective utilization of the most attractive areas closely related to the water surface. Cultural and Social Center is designed as a part of the landscape. It connects two levels of trails leading around the object. This connection is expressed through the dominant stairs. The program of the Center complements and evaluates leisure activities of the site, plus the Center offers an extraordinary space. Digital RGB spectrum system senses the current weather and converts the results into a graphic and scenic projection. Thanks to this system a new concept of space is continuously formed. The atmosphere, temperature, texture, intensity etc.. The visitor thus will never be a part of the same "exhibition." The first floor, (level +0,00m) around the water surface, is preferably used as a Cultural and Social Center. It has three naves of the Center, foyer with cafe and snacks, as well as it covers a DPMB building of cabeling. Few parts of the facade are designed as a sliding facade, thus visitors could stay in direct contact with the water surface and landscape. Second floor – (level +3,50m) is an spatial continuation on the Center and the rest is mostly used for technical security of the building. In foyer there is a second part of cafe – more private and relaxing room. Third floor (level +7,00m) is connected with the trail going around the building. At this level takes place leisure and educational center, which is complemented by the multifunction hall and an administrative facilities. The idea of landscape use is to provide an outdoor sports urban park a la Miralles urban parks.

This thesis deals with revitalization of the selected part of river Drevnice. Main scopes of the work are proposals of fish passages through migration barriers. The work is conceived on four levels. The first of them is dealing with the general characteristics of selected segment and with description of objects on watercourse. The second level is dealing with revitalization, where the basic information about migration and efficiency of fishes are described. In this chapter basic distribution of fish ladders is included. In third part, which is the most comprehensive, I design a boulder fish ramp and bypass channel. The last chapter contains drawings documentation of watercourse Drevnice and my own proposed revitalization elements.

Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the water divider near Prostějov on the Romže River. Divider flows will be transferred into the Hloučela River. Within the thesis, hydraulic calculations of the side spillway were solved according to Bürgel, Pavlosky, Engels, Musterle, Kunštátský, Hager and energy solution methods in the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and by using the HEC-RAS program as well. The calculations were compared to each other. Geometry of the relief water divider on the Romže River and the related buildings was designed based on the performed calculations. The required function of the relief object is guaranteed by manipulation of designed sluice gate. The study includes the text part with the calculations and the drawing part documenting the implementation of the designed measures.

This thesis deals with the hydroecological monitoring of the Sopřečský potok and possibilities of its improvement. The Sopřečský potok is located in the Pardubice Region in the Elbe River Basin. In the first phase of the work, hydroecological monitoring was carried out and then the hydromorphological state of the watercourse was evaluated. All procedures comply with the requirements of the Water Framework Directive. On the basis of its evaluation and taking into account the delimitation of ÚSES elements, the sections on which the measures to improve the state of the watecourse were implemented were selected. The effect of the modifications on the hydromorphological state was again evaluated. In conclusion, there is a comparison and summary of the proposed modifications to the existing state of watercourse.

This thesis deals with the hydroecological monitoring and river restoration of the Syrovinka watercourse in Hodonín district. In the framework of the hydroecological monitoring a river hydromorphological assessment was conducted as a part of assessing the ecological status of watercourse, to meet the requirement of the Water Framework Directive. Hydroecological monitoring was conducted using methodology HEM 2014, which is accepted as a national standard by the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic. Problematic reaches of watercourse were determined and for the selected reach a river restoration measures have been designed. Subsequently, an efficiency of river restoration was evaluated. The main benefits of designed river restoration are the restoration of ecological function and the support of natural water retention in floodplain.

The diploma thesis deals with the design of nature close to the flood protection of the city Prostějov at the confluence of the watercourses Romže and Hloučely and the flow Valova (Romže). In canculations there was solved capacity of individual sections and canculation of levels for one-year, five-year and twenty-year flow. For canculations there was used one-dimensional mathematical model HEC-RAS 5.0.3. Determination of roughness of bottom and slopes was based on personal visit. The result of this diploma thesis is evaluation of current state and proposal of a nature close to the flood protection in the individual streams in the city Prostějov. The thesis contains the calculation part and the drawing part documenting the proposed measure.

This problem was solved according to determined criterions with the aid of CFD simulation. Experimental measurement part of the thesis deals with evaporation problems where own formula for this physical phenomenon is determined. This formula is compared with already known algorithms. Author suggests that such formula might be integrated in CFD software.

The main aim of the thesis is an appraisal of the stream Oslava which belongs to the Náměšť nad Oslavou region with the focus on flood control of the town. The thesis asseses current state of the stream with respect to the state of riverbed, bulwark of the stream and evaluation of the capacity of the stream channel. Calculation water surface profiles have been made by usage of the 1D mathematical model HEC-RAS for selected N-year flows. The capacity of flows and objects in the given period has been detected. There is also a map of the water runoffs included and possible solutions of how to protect the area surrounding the stream are proposed. The thesis was complemented with hydroecological monitoring of the stream channel - the HEM analysis 2014.

The assigned territory is situated in the City of Brno, in the city district of Židenice. From the west it is limited by the railway track Brno-Židenice, from the east by Koperníkova Street, from the north by Lazaretní Street and finally from the south by Bubeníčkova Street. Its area is approximately 45, 480 m2 which is 4,55 ha. From the urban perspective it is an intensive development in a separated block of the city with a protection zone. Total area is permeated by a few lines for pedestrians. The pedestrian zone provides better permeability of the area and better accessibility of the trade parterre. The buildings connect to surrounding development and respect the density of the integrity of the area. Intensive housing structure is regarded as "the city of short distance". The achievement of high density of housing development combines lots of various functions and relatively small built-up surface. While high-quality environment is preserved, people can find job oportunities in the intensive housing development without the need for transport. For achievement conception of compact city applies space urban planning. The shape of the estate directly impacted the principle of the proposal together with the city planning context of the current buildings. In the protective zone there is established a huge park with water reservoirs. The walk-through trade parterre is filled with many various functions, on its walkable roof is created a semi-public zone with skylights and freely introduced verdure. On the walkable roof there are independent blocks of apartments and public facilities. In the northern and southern corner are located public-service utilities and in the middle of this area there is a nursery and a kindergarden. In structural terms the building it is about cast-in-place concrete reinforced frame based on a white concrete foundation which has one underground level and five above-ground levels.

This dissertation "Revitalisation of a specific section of Rokytná water current" focuses on the respective water current between the 85,989 and the 86,999 kilometre. This section of the river is located in a land register of Rokytnice nad Rokytnou, a village approximately 10 kilometres West from Třebíč in the Vysočina region. The waterway of the river Rokytná was inappropriately shaped as straight, with the riverbed significantly entrenched constant triangular profile along the entire section. Moreover, an alley of tree species was planted along this section of the river, which further exacerbated its problematic aspects. The aim of this dissertation is to suggest a solution in line with current requirements for small-water current revitalisation projects. Moreover, the proposed solution will strengthen the ecological and aesthetical functions of the river.

Dissertation topic "Reconstruction design of accompanying vegetation watercourse" deals with silvicultural measures, which will improve the current state of accompanying vegetation. This topic is dealt with on a specific model object. In the introductory part I deal with general problems of small watercourses, their divisions and characteristics. This part include as well bank issues versus accompanying vegetation. The functions of accompanying vegetation are also defined. In the next part of my thesis I deal with a specific model object, a broader territorial relations of area and its natural conditions. The current state of vegetation is critically evaluated and subsequently executed the proposal of reconstruction of the accompanying vegetation.

The thesis summarizes essential available information describing the chosen part of a small stream called the Anšovský potok. The next part describes the current state of its streambed, riparian vegetation and its surroundings. The thesis also includes description of the current views on revitalization of small watercourses and proposes possible revitalization modifications of the selected part of the stream. The suggested solution is based on the new land arrangement designed within the comprehensive land consolidation that was completed at the village Šanov in early 2016. In the context of the proposed modifications this study offers two conceptual solutions differing in their technical and financial demands and in the extent of use of the natural processes of ecological restoration. The study represents the information base for future revitalization projects of the Anšovský potok stream.

The thesis was intended to fill the information gap in the ecohydrology of the Pinus rotundata dominated peatbogs in the Třeboň Basin Biosphere Reserve, Czech Republic by studying various aspects of their water régime (i.e., transpiration of the dominant tree species, soil water chemistry, retention ability). The study is based on regular monitoring of the water table, water discharge, soil water chemistry and precipitation (during 1995-2000, study sites Červené blato and Žofinka peatbogs). Additionally, the transpiration of adult Pinus rotundata trees was measured in the field during 1999-2000 at the experimental plot in the Červené blato peatbog (330 ha, 465-475 m a.s.l.). Nowadays, the Pinus rotundata-dominated peatbogs represent almost natural (peaty) forests inside of otherwise human-made forest plantations. Long-term vegetation changes after natural disturbances such as windstorms, insect infestation and fire are only occasionally reported for the central European natural forests. The thesis deals with the characteristics of the town of České Budějovice focused on the hydrological situation, the coexistence of the town with water and the use of water surface areas. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part summarises firstly, the information dealing with geographical physics secondly, socioeconomic information. It is followed by a detailed analysis of the main rivers, the Vltava and the Malše, which flow through the monitored territory. There is also a chapter aimed at the system of ponds in the defined location. From a historical point of view there are mentioned mainly interventions of nature itself in the life of the town in the chapter dealing with floods. The second application part includes the historical analysis of the evolution of the river bed and the water surface areas in the territory of České Budějovice, which was made up on the basis of comparing maps and information from the beginning of the 18th century up to the present. The anthropogenic activity and its influence on the town of České Budějovice itself is presented in the section solving the endangered water surface areas. This part also contains a case study dealing with the possibility of solving these hazards and risks in the countryside. The output of the thesis also includes the creation of promotional materials, which could be used as teaching supplementary materials at primary schools.

This master thesis focuses on the study of revitalization of a selected part of the Anšovský potok. It summarizes the knowledge and options of revitalization, the actual state of the water flow, its vegetation and its limits and other natural conditions of the studied area. The final draft is based on these information, financial and areal circumstances of the village Šanov, that requested this study, and limiting factors of the studied area (irrigation system). The draft of revitalization is largely solved by slopes form of riparian edges, sometimes these forms are completed by small wooden damming in watercourse or extension of stream bed. These forms of watercourse should improve retention of water and ecological stability in studied area. The thesis forms full featured basic revitalization plan of the Anšovský potok for the village Šanov.

The thesis is aimed on hydromorphological assessment with usage of distance data. The distance method QuaWaDis is defined and the usage of results of image processing within the hydromorphological assessment is considered. The aim of the assessment is classification of hydromorphological conditions of water bodies according to Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC. Distance method is based on visual interpretation of public data. Image processing results can extend the number of parameters of the distance method - object based classification was applied on aerial imagery (in land cover classification), unsupervised classification and image reclassification was applied on multispectral satellite data (in water depths classification). The calibration of distance method and the credibility of the distance data was evaluated in comparison with results of field survey EcoRivHab (Matoušková, 2008). Object based image processing was aimed on accuracy assessment, index of efficiency was defined and the concept of fuzzy logic was applied in accuracy assessment. From consideration of classification efficiency is obvious, that large internally heterogeneous objecs is more effectivelly to vectorise manually. This thesis is focused on finding the optimal tools for modelling of the overland flow and verification of its reliability and limits in an extreme relief of the Bohemian Switzerland. This paper focuses on the Open Source tools for modelling of the overland flow implemented in the geographic information system GRASS GIS. The region of the Bohemian Switzerland, especially of the same name national park, was chosen for two main reasons. The first is the fact that the range of reliefs' shapes of local sandstone rock areas is exceptionally varied. Extreme vertical segmentation, relief edges, changes of convex and concave shapes of relief, significant changes of profile, planar and tangential curvature and often extremely narrow and deep valleys are extremely difficult from the point of view of overland flow modelling. The second reason for the focus on the above mentioned field is the fact that for the given area there is available an exceptional quality digital elevation model (DEM) from the GeNeSis project - "Geoinformationsnetzwerke für die grenzüberschreitende Nationalparkregion Sächsisch - Böhmische Schweiz". Jaroslav Blahuta: Habitat mapping NPP Skalická Morávka as a basis for monitoring regeneration Reynoutria spp. printed after the intervention of the herbicide. The aim of this thesis was to map the habitats of the Catalogue of habitats (Culek et al., 2010) in the NPP Skalická Morávka and their level of invasion Reynoutria spp. as a basis for monitoring areal intervention herbicide. NPP is the subject of the protection of the natural stretch of the river Morávka in gravel sediments with their characteristic communities. These communities are bound occurrence of rare and endangered species (for example Myricaria germanica). Territory NPP was interspersed with square nets (50 x 50 m), which contained 454 nodes. At every point was made simplified the occurrence and registration of a particular species, found coverage representativeness, degree of degradation and the presence of dead wood. Based on these characteristics was to characterize habitats with regard to the level of invasion of neophytes. Overall the 454 mapping points to characterize habitat 13 by the concept of Culek et al. (2010). The percentage of each habitat is as follows: L2.2 (54,75 %), L2.4 (0,66 %), L3.2 (3,09 %), K2.2 (11,92 %), M1.4 (0,22 %), M4.1 (9,27 %), M4.2 (0,22 %), X7A (5,52 %), X7B (10,82 %), X12A (0,66 %), X12B (0,22 %), V4B (2,21 %) and T1.1 (0,5%). The overall level of invasion NPP Reynoutria spp. is 61 %. The highest abundances reached in natural habitats L2.2 (61 %), K2.2 (55 %) and M1.4 (52 %). Invasion of Impatiens glandulifera is 26 %. The highest abundances stood near the river (habitat K2.2, M1.4 and X7B). In terms of representativeness was most often to characterize transitional habitats with 82.9 % of the mapping points. According to the degree of degradation was 22 % of the nodes proved negative factor (most often the occurrence of neophytes, or illegal dumps).Dead wood is found only 6 % of the territory. The work represents a good basis for future monitoring and management optimization.

Watercourses cross our landscape and they are indispensable part of it as part of water cycle. Watercourse and its accompanying vegetation constitute a functional element of the landscape. In The thesis summarizes information from available domestic and foreign literature sources in the literature review. It describes the characteristics of watercourses, banks and accompanying vegetation, its features and principles of a restoration and care. Possibilities of a biological and biotechnical stabilization of banks are also mentioned. This information has been applied in the design of reconstruction of accompanying vegetation of watercourse. 850 meters long stretch of Mohelka River in northern Bohemia was selected as a model object. On the stretch analyzes of vegetation and banks were carried out. The design of silvicultural measures, new plantings and banks stabilizations was based on these analyzes. The care plan was also designed. For all the designed measures the costing was made.

The thesis deals with inventory and review previously created inventories on small watercourses in properties found in the cadastral areas of communes Doubrava u Březiny Krásensko, Podomí, Ruprechtov and Rychtářov that are managed by state enterprise Vojenské lesy a statky, Divizion Plumlov. The aim of inventory consists of field inspections on watercourses, targeting position of aimed points, description of troughs current state or description of objects and noticing its fundamental technical parameters. The inventory revision compares current state of technical objects to its previous state and evaluates implemented modifications. In this way 34 small watercourses belonging to the basin of significant small watercourse Malá Haná were inventoried. Its total length is 41.3 km on the area of 40.9 km2. Based on the results it is claimed these watercourses are in good condition, their troughs have been only minimally modified. The most common problem is non-functional blocked culverts that transfer forest paths across the watercourses. The second phenomenon occurring very often is bank ripping which threatens bodies of forest paths in many cases. It was recommended to stabilize these stressed spots in the proposals. Main purpose of this thesis is to become essential documentation for decisions and planning actions in the field of watercourses management in the aimed area.

First part of this thesis focuses on water transport, revitalization and environmental impact assessment related to the planned construction of a new port Napajedla-Pahrbek. The second part describes history and current situation of the Bata Canal. The last part includes a survey that was carried out among citizens of Napajedla and other urban areas.
