Abstract:
Jak funguje demokracie v Malajsii? Tato monografie jako první v českém prostředí přináší rozsáhlou analýzu volebních a politických jevů odehrávajících se v malajsijské politice. Malajsie prošla do získání své nezávislosti v roce 1957 koloniální nadvládou Portugalska, Nizozemska a Velké Británie. V následujícím složitém období historického vývoje více než šedesátileté nezávislosti se autor zaměřuje na změny v chápání demokracie a naplňování jejích principů optikou ministerského předsedy, což doplňuje o soudobý pohled na politické hodnoty ze strany obyvatel. V rámci analýzy poukazuje kniha na proměny a nepravidelnosti ve volebních výsledcích, které jsou způsobené jak federativním členěním Malajsie, tak zároveň rasovým a náboženským rozložením napříč státy. Autor čtenáře provede nejen teoretickými podklady a charakteristikami volebních pravidel, nýbrž i reálným průběhem volebního procesu. Publikace se snaží přiblížit pestrost volební monarchie také českému publiku, protože Malajsie si s ohledem na zásadní specifika volební politiky, a to nejen v porovnání s Evropou, ale i se zbytkem Dálného východu, větší pozornost rozhodně zaslouží.

Abstract:
Článek je příspěvkem k debatě o evropeizaci politických stran, která je jedním z hojně diskutovaných témat současné politologie. V příspěvku zkoumáme míru evropeizace českých politických stran zastoupených v Poslanecké sněmovně Parlamentu ČR prostřednictvím analýzy volebních programů těchto stran. Míra evropeizace je zkoumána za pomocí dvojdimenzionálního konceptu sestávajícího z kvantitativní a kvalitativní dimenze. Kvantitativní dimenzí je myšlen prostor věnovaný tématu evropské integrace v jednotlivých programech. Tato dimenze je dále členěna na kategorie rozptýleného výskytu, obecně koncentrovaného výskytu a specificky koncentrovaného výskytu. Kvalitativní dimenzí nazýváme rozpracování tématu evropské integrace v jednotlivých programech a dělíme ji dále na obecnou zmínku o evropské integraci, reakci na dílčí aspekty evropské integrace a na reflexi aktuálních problémů evropského integračního procesu. Za pomocí uvedeného konceptu analyzujeme volební programy pěti politických stran v rozmezí let 1996-2006.

Abstract:
Cílem tohoto textu je zodpovězení otázky, jak se měnily postoje politických stran působících na území dnešní České republiky ke vztahu církve a státu od doby zrodu moderních politických stran až do roku 2010. Abychom tuto otázku zodpověděli, podrobíme analýze (volební) programové dokumenty relevantních politických stran. Při analýze se zaměříme nejenom na identifikaci ideologických či hodnotových kořenů jednotlivých stran nebo na typy otázek (či problémů), které strany považovaly ve vztahu k církvím za důležité, a jejich řešení, ale i na prostor, který těmto otázkám ve svých programových dokumentech věnovaly. Na základě výsledků analýzy vytvoříme nejenom obraz dynamicky se měnících vztahů mezi různými politickými aktéry, ale vznikne tak i zajímavá sonda "důležitosti" otázek spojovaných s církvemi v rámci jednotlivých dějinných etap vývoje utváření obsahu politiky na území dnešní České republiky (popř. bývalého Československa).

Abstract:
Článek se zabývá vlivy na hlasování u legislativy životního prostředí v Poslanecké sněmovně Parlamentu České republiky. V úvodní části textu na základě kvantitativní analýzy porovnáme vliv skupiny sociodemografických a členských charakteristik poslanců na jejich hlasování. Na základě vyhodnocení vlivu délky mandátu a věku zákonodárců, příslušnosti k poslaneckému klubu a poslaneckým výborům, vzdělání, pohlaví a volebnímu regionu zákonodárce na 156 hlasování z let 1995 až 2010 docházíme k závěru, že rozhodující vliv na hlasování o životním prostředí má příslušnost k politické straně, která výrazně koreluje i s dalšími výraznými faktory jako je pohlaví nebo volební období. Přes vysokou stranickou jednotnost hlasování existuje v Parlamentu možnost, jak legislativu ovlivnit individuálně prostřednictvím poslanecké zákonodárné iniciativy. Institut poslaneckých pozměňovacích návrhů, který se na případové studii zákona o ochraně ovzduší demonstruje v druhé části textu, se nicméně opět ukazuje být využíván spíše jako nástroj stranických legislativních strategií. Při snaze o zvýšení transparentnosti a adresné odpovědnosti v českém Parlamentu se tak může jevit snaha o regulaci individuálních poslaneckých iniciativ nedoplněná zprůhledněním stranických procesů jako neúčinná.

Článek se zabývá analýzou soudního přezkumu voleb do obecních zastupitelstev v roce 2018 napříč jednotlivými krajskými soudy, přičemž se soustředí na dva významné procesní aspekty návrhů na takový přezkum – účastníky řízení (včetně detailnějšího rozboru osoby navrhovatele, tj. aktivní legitimací k podání návrhu) a posouzením druhů návrhů ze strany krajských soudů, neboť toto posouzení má vliv na následný přezkum, který soud provádí. To vše článek analyzuje na základě kvantitativního sběru dat – všech rozhodovaných věcí týkajících se přezkumu voleb do obecních zastupitelstev v roce 2018.

Abstract:
Příspěvek se zabývá problematikou politického marketingu. Hledá nejvhodnější segmentační kritéria používaná pro klasifikaci voličů. Pro segmentaci voličské základny se často využívají preference politických stran a z toho plynoucí ideologické postoje (levicový, pravicový) a demografické proměnné jako je věk, vzdělání a sociální status. Komunální volby na rozdíl od parlamentních voleb oslabují ideologické pojetí a zdůrazňují témata, která ovlivňují každodenní a bezprostřední život občanů. Příspěvek tedy zkoumá, zda se dají najít skupiny témat, která profilují jednotlivé typy voličů. Respondentům (potenciálním voličům) byla předložena sada tvrzení, která posuzovali na sedmibodové škále. Pomocí faktorové a shlukové analýzy je možné sestavit typologii voličů pro komunální volby. Zároveň lze zkoumat, jaký je vztah definovaných typů voličů k politickým stranám a jaký je jejich demografický profil. Příspěvek se opírá o data dvou primárních reprezentativních výběrových šetření, která proběhla před komunálními volbami v Ostravě (2006) a Havířově (2010). V obou případech byla data shromážděna prostřednictvím osobního dotazování a velikost výběrových souborů u každého šetření přesáhla 500 respondentů.

This graduation thesis Vote and Voting Behaviour of Citizen of the Town Lanškroun deals with vote and voting behaviour of inhabitants, who have permanent residence in the town Lanškroun. In thesis the returns of particular elections to municipal government of the town are characterized from years 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014. Subsequently the thesis is focused on the voting behaviour of the population. Informations about voting behaviour of citizen were obtained from performed questionnaire research. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part of graduation thesis is theoretical, which defines the basic concepts related to the topic of elections. It focuses mainly on concepts such as local democracy, local politics, vote and voting behaviour. The practical part focuses on the characteristics of the town Lanškroun, analyzes individual municipal vote and on the basis of results of the questionnaire results explains the voting behaviour of the population of Lanškroun.

Abstract:
The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the voting behavior of the citizens of the city of Jičín. The theoretical part deals with local democracy, introduces the voting system or different researches of voting behavior. The mainstay of this thesis is the practical part consisting of case study, whose task is to analyze behavior of Jičín citizens. The author of this thesis determined four tasks. First one is the implementation of socioeconomic and demographic characteristics of Jičín, enabling to conclude the voting behavior of its citizens. The other task is the analysis of election results in 2006, 2010 and 2014. Further is analyzed the voter turnout in Jičín and political parties which participated in past years are introduced. The third task is the qualitative research in the form of interview with the Jičínský Demokratický Klub leader and city's councilor. In the last part is conducted quantitative research, which will enable to answer the questions, regarding election behavior of citizens of Jičín.

The political aspects of local government, case study of municipality Mirovice thesis is focused on the issue of elections to municipal Mirovice in the period between 2002 and 2014 and the voting behaviour of its inhabitants, turnout in comparison with the results from the entire district Písek and in total with the Czech Republic. The aim is to verify the applicability of the models of electoral behaviour of the population in local elections. The theoretical part contains definitions of basic concepts such as democracy, the characteristics of self-government, elections and electoral behaviour. The Practical part includes characterization of the municipality Mirovice, characteristics of its inhabitants and their participation in elections. To confirm or reject the suitability of the theory of voting behaviour the both positive and negative relations with elected parties, we will make survey as a part of the practical part of the thesis. The satisfaction of local citizens with the work of city councils takes the thesis also into consideration.

Abstract:
The thesis deals with the local political party line in the environment of regional government. The work is focused on the town of Kutna Hora (Central Bohemia). The first part, the literature search, is the theoretical definition of basic concepts that deal with the local political party line in four categories according to the size of the municipalities. The most important is a definition of medium-sized municipalities, which corresponds to the currently investigated Kutna Hora. Then there is a definition of the characteristics of communal system, voting behavior and formation of municipal coalitions. The literature search is followed by the practical part, where there is the acquired theoretical knowledge applied to the local government of Kutna Hora. The focal point is based on the identification of local political participants (local organizations of political parties and other political organizations, interest groups, etc.), their electoral successes, the internal decision-making mechanisms, relationships and activities. The essential finding is that it´s not possible to apply expressly the assertion of Katz and Maira that the number of members of local organizations of political parties is steadily decreasing in western democracies, to the local government of Kutna Hora. The number of members in particular political entities of Kutna Hora is relatively high. Mutual relations of political entities of Kutna Hora however are based on personal sympathies and aversions. The local political system can be assessed as fully competitive, based on the principle of government and opposition.

The thesis deals with the local elections in 2014. It focuses on the District Děčín. The aim is to assess the importance of preferential votes in the distribution of political seats in municipal councils. Meaning of preferential votes is assessed using the variation coeficient, which is calculated for all the municipalities in district Děčín. The operational objective is to evaluate the use of preferential votes in the electoral behavior, which also results from the values of the variation coefficient.

The thesis addresses the issue of elections and electoral behavior of citizens in the town of Nový Bydžov. It is focused on assessment of factors that influence voting behavior of citizens in the town of Nový Bydžov. It describes the evolution of electoral behavior from 1994 to 2014 and verification of the applicability of the theory of electoral behavior for explanation of the electoral decision-making of the electorate in Nový Bydžov. The theoretical part addresses (describes) theoretical definition of areas that relate to the topic of the thesis. The practical part is a case study of Nový Bydžov. Subject of study is the town of Nový Bydžov, objects of study are the voters participating in the elections to the council of this city. To achieve the set goals (objectives) is recovered content of documents study (written records), a questionnaire survey, comparative methods and synthesis.

Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the development of local gouvernement of municipality Horní Počernice. The main purpose is to find out the factors, which affect the charakter of local political proces in this municipality. The thesis consists of two parts, which are the literature overview and practical part. The first part includes general charasteristic of self-government and municipal politics in the Czech Republic. The practical part includes the characteristics of major social-economic indicators of the municipality. In the thesis are also indentified the main actors of local political proces of the municipality, the interets and business groups and the relationship between each other. The practical part is especially focused on comparison of municipal elections in Horní Počernice and on the analysis of the local party system. The practical part also includes the characteristics of conduct local political actors, creation coalitions and are characterized local cleavages. In the end of the thesis are summarized the established facts.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with the influence of local administration on development of the municipality Tmaň, and with political aspects of the municipal management. The first part of this thesis defines the theoretical definition issues such as administration, municipality, municipal financing and local administration. The second part of this thesis is focused on particular aims of this thesis achieved, mainly aims like mapping of the local administration after 1989, the definition socio-economic indicators of the municipality Tmaň and the composition of the local government. The next part of the thesis includes the analysis of the decision process of the local government, which was monitored in 2015 by the method of observation. The thesis includes interest groups, local business entities and their cooperation and relationship with local administration. The substantial part of the thesis includes the clarification of the results of the municipal elections in the municipality Tmaň from 1990 to the last election in 2014 and simultaneously finding out their features with subsequent comparison with theoretical knowledge. Conclusion of the thesis is the generalization based on the participant observation and the continuous questioning, what influence does the local administration on the development of the municipality Tmaň and what the political aspects of the management of the municipality Tmaň are.

Abstract:
This thesis is entitled The development of local government in the municipality of Klatovy. The main aim of this work is to analyse municipal policies and political mechanisms in local self-government within the election period since 2014 to 2018, and to identify unique aspects of self-government particular to this locality. This project has been divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part outlines basic concepts relating to municipality, local self-government members, municipal election processes, formation of coalitions, and civil and political participation. The practical part is focused on the town of Klatovy: socioeconomic indicators, summary of election results since 1994, characteristics of local municipal policy during the election period since 2014 to 2018, self-government members and relationships between them, and their co-operation in the running of the municipality. This work also focuses on current problems in local municipal policy and possibly solutions.

Abstract:
The thesis was built up as a method of case study, dealing with the political development in Březnice from communal election in 1994 to the present. The theoretical part was focused on the development of local authorities in the historical milestones. It defines the term municipality, its institutions, communal elections and its components, the coalition theory, local party system, participation of population, position of independent candidates in local politics and local models of democracy. The practical part uses all the information obtained in the first part and applies it to the municipality Březnice according the knowledge collected from interviews with current and former local representatives. This part also describes history of the village and socio-economic indicators.
