La maladie de Marek due à l’a-herpesvirus GaHV-2 (Gallid herpes virus) est un lymphome T du poulet contrôlable par vaccination. Nous avons recherché si l’activité télomérase et la transcription des gènes viraux étaient associées à la protection vaccinale. L’activité télomérase peut être considérée comme un marqueur de lymphomagenèse, corrélant avec la virulence des souches GaHV-2 parmi lesquelles le vaccin CVI988 induit une faible activité. Ce défaut d’activation ne semble pas lié à la mutation de la boîte H de vTR, présente uniquement dans deux lots de vaccins. La virulence des souches GaHV-2
